Lyric-dynamic Feininger at the Schirn Kunsthalle. It's worth seeing! On weekdays, in the morning there are not many people.
Very good and nice museum. Staff was very friendly and kind. There was also free lockers.
No real organisation, persian part is just an assirtiment of pots and pans. Just a bit of everything but nothing that makes one go "oh that's interesting, I wanna know more" (which there isn't more).
Beautiful museum. The ivory sculptures are mesmerizing, and need lots of time to enjoy. Worth it to spend the whole day. Family tickets are available at a discounted price (18€).

The museum has some great exhibits on early automation. Very informative and helpful videos on ancient time keeping and astronomy.
Good and interesting collection for a small museum. Mithras exhibition was nice. Texts were in German so consider that if you want to visit.
So cool the concepts of the actual exhibitions. We have Martha Rosler and her fight and in the other side plastic world. If you are a student you can visit both of them for just 10 euro (normally would be 20 euros)

The house where Goethe was born and lived. Beautifully preserve historical building with a lot of furniture and objects that belonged to his family.
Absolutely lovely cafe and very interesting museum. Not sure how they make such a great ice latte but it's amazing. Great staff too!
A beautiful promenade near the river with several museums around, the cathedral is nearby, the old town, the bridges. Pretty much everything. You'll often see people enjoying their time here
Stadel Museum in Frankfurt is a must for art and design enthusiasts. The interior is gorgeous and creates a perfect flow through the art pieces. From classical to contemporary, the selection is fantastic. I spent four hours there without realizing it. Highly recommended.
Lovely and spacious exhibit space
A wonderful art museum. The collection is not too big, but it's magnificent (there are works by Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Degas and so many more)! Add to that fact that it's not overcrowded, so you can take your time in admiring the work of arts spanning 7 centuries with leisure. I would say for sure a must-visit place in Frankfurt if you love art!
If someone is into modern art he surely can visit this place. It was my second time visiting it. Currently exhibits a berliner artist ,luckily on Saturdays it's free admission. We liked it but didn't enjoy as much as the first time we were here (this has to do with personal taste and not with the museum itself)
We did both the Goethe house and the special exhibit, definitely recommend both! The special exhibit had fantastic artwork and many interactive components. Favorite museum we visited in Frankfurt.
Nice architectural building, however, the so call “art exhibition” lacks of talent, focus and understanding of basic arts. Of course, every human expression can be considered art, but it is the responsibility of the museum, to select talent and meaningful art expression. Poor, poor exhibition, I saw not art inside the beautiful building.
Very instructive place where we can know every single details about Goethe life and work. The house is well conserved and the more modern museum upstair is cool too.

Interesting finds are displayed in this museum that is housed in a former monastery. The building itself is interesting as well as the different archeological findings from Frankfurt and the region. It's a pity the installations end with the early medieval period (I was told the rest is in the Historical museum).
And if your German is not so good, you won't have much luck: there is almost no English descriptions anywhere...

Had a good experience visiting Goethe museum. There is a possibility to pick up a card with descriptions of rooms and an interactive screen at the entrance, where you can learn the house history.
One hour will be more, than enough there.
P.S. The house itself was ruined during WW2, so don’t expect authenticity. But still it’s nice to see how the house looked at that time.

Doesn’t fall into comparison with Borghese gallery with its sculptures, 1 hour here will be enough, but still we enjoyed it a lot.

The architecture is good, but the exhibition is not. Some illustrations shut down for technical problems and some even didn’t get illuminated. The curators spread out the these artworks so much that there are only a few small items in a large room.
In the gender-neutral toilet, you can see the male urinal as soon as you enter, and there is no cover at all.

712/23: The museum was pleasant. It had many famous 🎨 🖼 artists' paintings as well as painters 🎨 I did not know. Pretty artwork. From the 1300s onward. It was worth a visit.
Nice museum….. particularly for Dinosaurs. Kids enjoyed a lot here
The Plastic World Exhibition was curated in an excellent way. A bit small maybe. Would have loved to see more …

MMK Museum for modern Art in Frankfurt is a great place with changing exhibition. The Combi ticket is not recommended.
A very nice place with a huge art collection. Recommended for any art lover, with very detailed descriptions of the painting and the artist's life when creating works that go far into the past to the present day. The ticket price is 18 euros.

The art gallery has a great permanent exhibition with a lot of known artists. The staff is friendly and the museum is easy to navigate.

An evening event took place - in a very attractive location ie. Senckenberg Naturmuseum - as a part of Europe's top hematology hybrid Congress which was held in #Frankfurt 🇩🇪 from June 8-11, 2023. Congress featured a comprehensive program that encompasses all areas of hematology and allowed for networking with global experts. I was glad to be supporting EHA Team to make News stand out in media reports.
The Schirn Is certainly one of the major exhibition halls we have in the city. It usually has two art exhibitions running parallel to each other. More recently we were able to share Niki de Saint Phalle's work, which is rarely shown worldwide, discovering her painful youth, yet undaunted creative spirit. Just before that, we had an extensive show of Marc Chagall's works on loan from major museums and rarely seen paintings on loan from multiple private collections - a privilege one seldom had in previous decades.
A couple of years ago, we were blessed with an insight to Jean-Michel Basquiat's short-lived street art, whose spontaneous works paved the beginnings of the many graffiti we can discover when exploring small and major cities - everywhere.
Keep a watch out for upcoming exhibitions because their programmes for adults, but also children - are surely worthy of visiting.

Loved the Trockel show. Building is a typical monstrosity privileging the design over showing art but what’s new… what is new is the nasty oppressive staff. You feel hunted by the security guards they must be trained to be angry and make sure there’s no joy in the air. Sad… guess it’s their thing. Great show however!!!
Wow! What a spectacular museum. The beautifully restored Goethe House combined with the modern interactive design of the galleries is amazing. Even if you're not a Goethe fan it's a brilliant representation of the citys history. A must visit!
Just learned free admission to the museum on the last Saturday of every month, I went for a quick visit. Currently, works of Rosemarie Trockel are exhibiting till 18 June 2023. I am just a layman who do not know too much about classic or modern arts but still found some amazing pieces of art. For example, there are 2 creations made with electric cooking hotplates that are on and you can feel the heat from them. Amazing, isn't it?
What more, I love the internal architecture of the museum with long stairways and spacious exhibition rooms very impressive and pleasing. In fact, the paints on the walls are art works.

Always worth the trip to see an exhibition. Went for Kara Walker and Niki de StPhalle and was happy with booth. Convenient location in city centre for a coffee or drinks after. Either come by train or park at Römet Parkhaus is best.
As a geologist, this place is very interesting! I could easily spend 1.5-2 hours to explore this area. Also note that there is also section for biology and climate sciences in this area which makes it more interesting! ✨
Amazing array of art well segmented into old masters, modern and contemporary. Just exploring one floor would take you at least an hour to complete, so do allocate ample time. There isn’t an audio guide available, but there is an app version called Städel Highlights which I would recommend downloading before you visit the museum.

Everything inside is impressive and furniture is amazing also. Great to visit here and being able to feel like old times and where Goethe got his first inspirations. The garden and the furniture are well preserved, I like the kitchen and the sealed topfloor stairs. Was not a fan of the Niki de Saint Phalle exhibit. This type of modern art, was not of my liking. Tickets were expensive and ONLY had access to this exhibition but not to the rest of the museum, unless of course you payed more. It was a completely underwhelming and expensive experience.

Nice museum that can be seen in more or less 2 hours as it's not really big. There's a floor dedicated to high renaissance art, another one with contemporary art and a room with old Italy's photos so you have very different things to see all in one place. It's interesting and explanations are both in German and English.
Good museum but it needs better organisation. The main door is not easily view from the street. No indication of it.
One of the best places that I have ever been. It is awesome and it really takes time to see all of it, there is about three floors with a lot of different rooms that you can see skeletons, fossils, stones, stuffed animals and a lot more. The quality and quantity is both a lot and I really enjoyed it. I suggest going there and visiting all of the rooms so you don’t miss anything.

One of those few attractions that are open on Mondays. Worth a visit. Entrance fee is 12 euros. A lot to see. For example Meet the Reef -special exhibition is interesting and well presented. Some exhibitions are also in English, but unfortunately not all. There is a nice bistro in the museum. The museum shop was closed at the time (in January 2023).
Just been there today for their Marc Chagall exhibition. It is well organized but today was too crowded. We bought ticket at 12 pm and had to waited for 1 hour to get in, understandable. But once we got in it was too packed I mostly saw people’s back. LOL. Ticket is 14€. Audio guide is available only in German. Staffs are friendly thou.

I visited Schirn for a Marc Chagall exhibition. The guided tour with all the background knowledge and historical facts to Chagall’s artwork was amazing and while saddening in many cases, still enlightening and wonderful. A great venue for art and definitely one of the many excellent cultural highlights in Frankfurt.
This is a very nice nature science museum with a large collection of fossils. Als a nice collection of birds and other animals. Not expensive, very good price experience.
You enter the museum and when you walk straight ahead, there is a very nice big room with replica dinosaurs to give you a realistic impression of the size. Also download the museum app, there some virtual reality room where you see the dino's walking around.

Absolutely loved this experience. Museumsufer is not just one museum but it's a street with different museums on it. Each museum has a lot to offer. Weekends it's free but not sure if all of them are free on the weekends. Definitely a worthwhile trip to take if you're ever in Frankfurt

A small exhibition room with free entry. You may drop by if there are some exhibitions that interest you when it is open. It won't take up too much of your time but sometimes it could surprise you.

What a big disappointment... Felt like I lost my time and my money and could have use it to visit another museum.. The exposition has nothing spectacular, it's kid friendly sure but not sure they will learn anything relevant....

Fantastic experience, friendly and kind staff. This is a medieval Carmelite monastery with an archaeological exhibition. Only lack ventilation during the summer, very hot and stuffy environment. Very well organized collection.

Amazing collection. Loved the experimental colour project. Helped to visualise how some of our ancestors may have looked. Too much Christianity or Christian iconography. Even if we went this is Germany centric, what about Jews? Or the Pagan.....
This is a quite gender ideology focussed exhibition without much influence of Christian faith. My impression is they miss all importent content completely and include misleading and false statements both in detail and through their presentation design. This can not be recommended.

Google maps says open on a Tuesday (2pm) and I’ve arrived to find it closed with no special notice on the door. Very disappointed
The museum emerged as an independent institute from the Archaeological Department of the Historical Museum. The digital table was a great attraction for my kids, some quizzes were very interesting.
Wonderful scenery-lots to see, from old Churches to old Buildings, some small food stands are open for Public, everything else is closed due to Covid. Bring Jacket because it can get windy by the water.
One of the most common sight in Hamburg, and also the most beautiful one. There are many ways to get close to it. You can take a bus, U-Bahn and ferry. I went there first with the U-Bahn, really fast. Depend on which stations you get off, you will have different views. I also took the boat, it was really a cool way to travel around. and since I have the day ticket, I could travel as much as I want with different popublic transportation.

Porticus; It is a not so big one-room gallery built on a small island in the Main river. Looking at the exhibition themes under the control of the curators, the gallery is like a dance floor where they send a message saying "Look how bad it is out there, see what the artists exhibiting and what they are saying ..."

Museumsufer is a tree laned avenue by the river and on the Museum Street. You can cycle, skateboard, jog by the river or just sit by the river and take in the view of the old city on the opposite bank.

A nice museum and a great exhibition! If you are interested in old sculptures, you should come for a visit. Right know they have a exhibition about Medea and the hunt of the golden fleece. Pretty interesting to go threw the historical facts and story's.

I loved that this was here for us to check out on the Sabbath. I was sad it was not an awesome as I wanted it to be. The Old Testament section is small. Only one room and unfortunately none of it in English. The New Testament did have a lot of English for you to read.
If this is a way for us Christians to share Gods Word I wish it was better taken care of. I wish they have devices in multiple languages too.
The garden upstairs made up of bible plants and trees was depressing. So much more can be done here.
