The Ethnological Museum is my first childhood Museum. When I studied in school I learned new things from this Museum. The bird collection is good. But It needs more things to showcase. Hope they will add some new things.
This Museum is full with important resources from all over Bangladesh. I liked the way they keep the culture of monipuri, khasia, hajong, marma and so on. As a sylheth i would like to share that they have to keep some more Cultural activities of Sylhet.

Museum that uses exhibits and collections related to human interaction with the sea is known as Maritime Museum.
It focuses on a variety of maritime topics, such as naval history, commercial shipping, fishing, marine biology, and maritime archaeology.

Maritime museum has a large collections of ships, boats, and other maritime artifacts, as well as interactive exhibits and educational programs.

It also plays a role in educating the public about the importance of marine conservation and sustainability.
It was a nice museum. Instead of throwing away the old rusted missel, launcher pad, torpedos and small ship they restored it. There is a grass ground which is circled by the items. The museum building itself is nice. The restaurant is good offer good quality food. It's a nice place to hangout in the city.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Chittagong, Bangladesh, the MARITIME MUSEUM stands as a beacon of maritime history and heritage. This intriguing museum, akin to a time capsule, invites visitors to embark on an oceanic journey through time. Immerse yourself in the wonders of naval and marine history as you explore captivating exhibits that bring the world of seafaring to life. The museum is a testament to the profound connection between mankind and the sea. Here's my detailed review of the Maritime Museum – a voyage through time and tide.

ENTRY FEE
50 BDT

PROS
• The museum's location is incredibly convenient, situated at the heart of the city.
• It is an outstanding place, boasting captivating aesthetics.
• The museum's thematic focus on naval, ocean, and marine subjects is thoughtfully executed.
• The premises are well-maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment.
• Within its walls, the museum treasures a remarkable collection of rare and precious naval items, including miniature warship models, old ship models, various naval artifacts, and sea-related items, as well as a wealth of information and images about naval history.
• The museum's exterior is equally appealing, featuring a park with a prominent warship model, an open-air restaurant, and a gift shop.

CONS
• While the museum is outstanding, the ticket price of 50 BDT may appear relatively high compared to other museums in the city.
• Unfortunately, the absence of restroom facilities can be inconvenient for visitors.
• In terms of size, the museum is relatively small when compared to other museums in town.
• The addition of guides would greatly enhance the visitor experience, providing insightful information about the museum's exhibits and history.

The MARITIME MUSEUM is like a captivating voyage through history, where each exhibit unveils the fascinating world of naval and marine wonders. While the journey is undeniably enriching, it's worth noting that the ticket price and the lack of restroom facilities can be a tad inconvenient. Nevertheless, this museum stands as a testament to our enduring connection with the sea and maritime heritage. To make it even more inviting, a thoughtful look at ticket pricing and perhaps the addition of much-needed restrooms could elevate the overall visitor experience. With these tweaks, the Museum promises to remain a cherished destination, beckoning maritime enthusiasts and curious minds alike to explore its maritime treasures.

It is an awesome place. I never expected that much from here, but it exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be like other museums in Bangladesh with less information and no authenticity. However, I was wrong and my 50 taka was worth spending. I love this place and am planning on taking my friends there again.

In this museum, you can find the blood of President Ziaur Rahman in the wall of the building. Killing bullet had made hole in the floor of the building.
A room is decorated samely when president got killed by the Army.
Actually, if you would like to go through the life of Ziaur Rahman, you should visit the place.

Normal ticket price is 20 taka.

If u want to see a glimpse of the past political history of Bangladesh this is a highly recommended place, but i saw closely and noticed that this place is not maintained properly for a long time. And the main building needs serious maintenance, but you must visit here at least once if u can.

Loved the place . Most underrated museum in bangladesh from my point of view. Its second big ethological museum in the world. The big one located in japan.

In this museum you will be able to see all types of ethnic group particularly in south asia portion. However you will not be able to see their life movement but also the dress and ornaments uses. It will certainly make you more knowledgeable when you see this type of collections.

Most informative museum i think. You must visit this place at once you come to CTG.

The environment of the museam is good. And it situated is main town of chittagong. The museum is big enough, thay have 4 gallery. You can cover the whole museum with 2 hour.
this place is so mesmerizing, soothing and healing. this place is highly recommended for those who have interest in political history. this place is amazing, beautiful as well as emotional.
inside of museum photography is prohibited but i took risk to take some shots because this guy was damn smart.
check the schedule of visitors hours before you go.
DSLR camera is not allowed.
you have to put your bag in locker room and collect the token.

Wow
Visited in April 2022. This museum is just beside the Radisson Hotel of CTG. It is all about late Ziaur Rahman and it is a wonder that it is still surviving. Hope it can be more improved as a museum.

Don't leave yourself trapped inside the house, go out to know the world .. Know the nation, the group, know their heritage .....

Hold on to your own traditions, respect the traditions of others.

This ethnological museum in Chittagong is such a museum where you can find out the different ethnic groups of Bangladesh and Pakistan, their heritage, their way of life, their daily life .........

Come on in, take a look and enjoy yourself!

Note: You must keep the museum clean and tidy, do not throw dirt there .. Do not touch anything ..
Don't do anything that conflicts with anyone's honor .................

There is an oldest and armed history which is before 1971.
Have are which was use by Lt Gen Md Ziaur Rahman
CAS of BD Army.
If you want to go there u mast be come in Cantonment gate 1 near bayezid side... And when you entry by bayezid gate in front of 500 miter cantonmant you reach thear
Though it's a museum by its name, it is now used as a government office. So if anyone goes there in order visit some historical stuffs, he may get disappointed.
It's a great place but if you are civilians you can't go there or have permission to enter but if you have any relatives who are in Army then you can get there.
i never go there but i heard there is a museum in the cantonment. Cantonment is a safe place and the behaviour of the army members are so polite.
It has a Great Place where You can find Mejor Ziyaur Rahmans car and also the first Radio used to cast at the time of Liberation war 1971
This a lovely and nostalgic place for them, who loves our country and it's process of independence. Here to see and know the war very closely.
