Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und bietet eine gute Aussicht auf die Stadt und die Geschichte der Brüder Grimm.

Sehr interessantes Museum. Gut aufbereitet und sehr in die Tiefe gehend bei dem Nebenleben der Gebrüder Grimm. Die Arbeit bei den Märchen habe ich ein bisschen vermisst. Aber trotzdem einen Besuch wert.

Es ist ein guter Gedanke, Leben und Werk der Gebrüder zu dokumentieren. Leider waren es für mich zu viele Informationen und ich war nach der Hälfte des Rundgangs nicht mehr aufnahmefähig.

Wir waren am Wochenende in der GRIMMWELT. Unserer 8jährigen Tochter hat es sehr gut gefallen. Wir fanden den Besuch auch gut. Es gab viel zu entdecken - für die ganze Familie. Es wurde ein Fragebogen ausgehändigt, welcher allerdings an ein / zwei Stellen in der Beantwortung nicht ganz einfach war und sogar die Erwachsenen vor "Probleme" stellte. Da sollte ggf. die Fragestellung überdacht werden, damit Kinder auch ohne Hilfe der Eltern die Lösung herausfinden.

Das Museum gleicht eher einer Spurensuche als dem klassischen Museumsbesuch. Das mag vielleicht irritieren. Dennoch habe ich viele neue Dinge erfahren. Medial ist es abwechslungsreich gestaltet.

Märchenhaftes Museum, wo alle genießen können. Das ist eichtig eine Welt, die ciel größer als ein Museum ist. Hier kann man sich inspirieren lassen und in die deutschen Märchen tauchen. Das Museum ist hochmodern, die Gestaltung sehr interessant und die Reihenfolge der Hallen umfassbar! Ich freue mich sehr, dass ich im Iran mit Grimms Märchen aufgewachsen bin und auf meine einzige Deutschlandsreise 2023 zur GRIMMWELT gekommen bin!

Das Café, Shoppen und literarischen Veranstaltungen sollen wir auch in Acht bringen. Eine App namens Grimmwelt macht auch die Besichtigung unvergesslich.

Wenn Sie einmal das Museum besuchen, müssten Sie auch am Dach die Panorama von Kassel und auch das Sepulkrakulturmuseum besichtigen.

Ein interessantes Museum - sah recht neu und modern gestaltet aus. Viele Schubladen laden zum Entdecken ein. Auf 3 Etagen gibt es viel zu erkunden

Tolles Museum. Man sollte sich aber unbedingt den Audioguide vorher herunter laden oder vor Ort mieten. Ohne entgeht einem zu viel an Information 👍🏻

Vom Turm bei Nacht super Blick, allein dafür hat sich die museumsnacht gelohnt

Wir haben die sehr zu empfehlende Museumsnacht zum Anlass genommen, nach vielen Jahren mal wieder das Landesmuseum zu besuchen. Sehr umfangreiche Ausstellung der hessischen Geschichte in allen Epochen. Hier sollte man wirklich viel Zeit mitbringen. Zum Abschluss sollte man sich noch die tolle Aussicht auf Kassel aus dem Turm nicht entgehen lassen.

Ich hatte kürzlich die Gelegenheit, die Grimmwelt in Kassel zu besuchen, und ich muss sagen, dass meine Erfahrung leider alles andere als beeindruckend war. Als begeisterter Museumsbesucher und ein großer Fan der Gebrüder Grimm hatte ich hohe Erwartungen an dieses Museum. Leider wurden diese Erwartungen in vielerlei Hinsicht enttäuscht.

Der erste Eindruck beim Betreten der Grimmwelt war durchaus vielversprechend. Das Gebäude selbst ist modern und ansprechend gestaltet, und das Café, das sich direkt am Eingang befindet, verspricht ein angenehmes Erlebnis. Das Café war tatsächlich die einzige Einrichtung im Museum, die mich überzeugt hat. Der Kaffee und die Gebäckauswahl waren hervorragend, und der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Leider konnte die Qualität des Cafés die Enttäuschung nicht mildern, die sich beim Erkunden der Ausstellungsräume einstellte. Das Hauptproblem, das ich mit der Grimmwelt hatte, war, dass sie viel zu sehr auf intellektuelle Besucher ausgerichtet ist. Der Fokus liegt stark auf akademischen Ansätzen und Interpretationen der Märchen der Gebrüder Grimm, was das Museum für Kinder und sogar für viele Erwachsene äußerst unzugänglich macht.

Die Ausstellung ist in einem trockenen, wissenschaftlichen Stil gestaltet, der jeglichen Charme und die Magie der Märchen der Gebrüder Grimm vermissen lässt. Es gibt kaum interaktive Elemente oder unterhaltsame Präsentationen, die junge Besucher ansprechen könnten. Stattdessen werden die Märchen auf eine Weise präsentiert, die sie zu schwer verdaulicher Kost macht. Für Kinder ist dies auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen, da sie sich schnell langweilen und desinteressiert werden.

Darüber hinaus schien die Grimmwelt stark von der Dokumenta inspiriert zu sein, einer bekannten Kunstausstellung, die alle fünf Jahre in Kassel stattfindet. Dies führte zu einer weiteren Verwirrung in Bezug auf das Konzept des Museums. Es war schwer zu erkennen, ob es sich um ein Museum über die Gebrüder Grimm oder um eine Kunstinstallation handelte. Diese Vermischung der beiden Konzepte wirkte sich negativ auf die Gesamterfahrung aus.

Insgesamt war mein Besuch in der Grimmwelt in Kassel äußerst enttäuschend. Das Café war das einzige Highlight, während die Ausstellung selbst intellektuell anspruchsvoll und langweilig war. Die mangelnde Zugänglichkeit für Kinder und die Verwirrung hinsichtlich des Konzepts des Museums trugen weiter zu meiner Enttäuschung bei. Ich hatte deutlich mehr erwartet und hoffe, dass die Grimmwelt in Zukunft ihre Präsentation überdenkt und versucht, ein breiteres Publikum anzusprechen, insbesondere diejenigen, die die Märchen der Gebrüder Grimm lieben.

Amazing museum with great limited time exhibitions and permanent ones. The paintings are wonderful. Definitely a must visit.

Mind that with your ticket you can also visit the Hercules and castle Löwenburg!

A very nice museum with lot of information about historic animals
They have plenty of seating areas and many educational toys for kids
They also have a small gift shop at the front

Really interesting! A bit of a shame only the big information boards had an english translation, and the front desk lady mocked us when we said we didn’t speak German, but all of the other staff were kind and patient, and the gift shop was really cool! We learnt loads about Hesse, and all in all I would recommend a visit to this Museum :)

Das Museum ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Personal absolut Besucher freundlich. Die Räumlichkeiten, soweit ich sie aufgesucht habe hervorragend aufgestellt uns übersichtlich angelegt bzw. ausgestattet. Genauso stelle ich mir ein gutes Museum vor. Jederzeit zu empfehlen. Genug Zeit mitbringen!!!

Lovely place! I recommend for visiting.

Mir hat es gefallen. Ein schöner Marsch durch die nordhessische Geschichte.
Rechts vom Eingang befinden sich drei Fahrradbügel. Leider nur drei! Und ich habe sie auch nicht auf Anhieb dort gesucht.

Great building, and nice exhibits. However do note that everything is written in German, with no translations offered.

Great exhibitions. Learn about the life in and nature in the area. Prehistoric animals are displayed and soke dinosaurs as well. The second level was quite interesting as well, but some bits of the exhibit upstairs are not for children so beware. Still loved our time here and please bring cash if you want to buy something.

Einige Ausstellungsstücke auf 4 Ebenen, Personal ist freundlich. Ausreichend viele Erklärungen auf den Schildern zu den Objekten.

Hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Ausstellung startet im Erdgeschoss mit der Menschwerdung und endet im Obergeschoss mit der moderne. Allerdings sollte man Interesse und Zeit mitbringen. Ich fand es sehr gelungen und interessant.

There are 2 floors. The history of the earth (fossils, botonics, animals and more) was exhibited in both floors. Most of them are handmade also.
I support their words about the museum;
"you can get in many elaborately designed habitat staging much information about nature in Northern Hesse."
I think that this museum has more regional focus.
You should visit.....

Einfach ein geiler Schuppen!

Beautiful done natural sciences museum - great for kids! There are lots of "hands on" exhibits that invite to engage and participate. Really fun, for everyone from small children to adults. This has improved tremendously from when I visited as a kid 30 years ago!

A well made museum about German history , but not sueted for tourists, everything is written in german.

Superb

We came here with a toddler and had a great time. Keep your expectations tempered as the museum is on the smaller side, but for the price it can't be beat (during our visit it was an excellent value at 4.50 euros per adult). The museum is made up of a few different levels, with live animals on the first floor. There are a number of interactive exhibits that are fun for kids and adults. Quick note: most of the exhibits are in German only but it's still enjoyable even if you don't speak German.

In the Schloss Wilhelmshöhe you can enjoy in the basement an amazing collection of Graeco-Roman antiques - mainly Ancient Greek statues and other art objects - as well as a large gallery of Old Masters paintings in the 3 floors above.

Nice detailed information and history of Kassel.

The cafe restaurant Jerome I cannot recommend. Aside from being dull I wanted to pay with my normal Maestro card for 5 euro (mundane) coffee but was told I could only use my card from 10 euro on. After this strange rule which was not communicated before ordering the waitress even had the courage to suggest that I spend another 5 euro in the shop in order to be able to use my card. This sillyness struck me, the customer is here not the center of attention, the employees and their business are. The proper response would be to let me use the card for 10 euro and give me 5 euro in cash back. Customers are buried here with the management's lack of customer care.

The Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel (MHK for short) is an institution of the state of Hesse. It is entrusted with the administration of art historical real estate and collections of the country in Kassel.

The properties in Kassel include the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe with the Hercules, the Wilhelmshöhe Palace, the Löwenburg, the Ballhaus and the Greenhouse, as well as the Karlsaue Park with its buildings, the Orangerie and the Marble Bath, the Hessian State Museum with the Gate Guard, and the Neue Gallery. The properties outside Kassel include the Schloss Friedrichstein Museum in Bad Wildungen and the Schloss Wilhelmsthal near Calden.

The Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel also looks after these properties and collections scientifically and acts as publisher of publications. From August 2009 until his retirement at the beginning of 2018, the art historian Bernd Küster was director of the MIC. His successor is Martin Eberle.
Land, buildings and collections go back to the landgraves and later electors of Hessen-Kassel. The centuries-old, princely collection core stock is preserved in its diversity until today. Such a unity is found in Germany otherwise only in the collections of Dresden and Munich. The landgraves and electors gathered in the field of astronomy and individual arts and crafts, brought important European artists, mathematicians and architects to their court and dealt with antiquities and contemporary art. The collections were created partly for reasons of state, partly for the personal interest of the landgraves and electors. From the middle of the 19th century, bourgeois donations and loans contributed to the completion of the historical collection. This type of collection extension is still maintained today. In 1866, after the annexation of Hesse-Kassel, Prussia transferred the then princely collections for the first time to state administration. Schloss Wilhelmshöhe was built in 1786 in several stages. [5] In addition, Schloss Wilhelmshöhe also houses a historic chapel, a bistro and the administration of the Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel.
The Weissenstein wing is the south wing of the castle. It was built in the years 1786-1790 and was used as landgräflicher living and representation space. Today, the historic castle rooms, such.
