I didn’t know what to expect, but this is a great museum. I am a museum nerd and went with a little over 2 hours left until closing and had to skim through a large portion of the museum due to time. There is enough to occupy a large portion of the day if you want to read and interact with everything. I also appreciate that the information is not whitewashed. Large areas are dedicated to the Native American tribes of the area as well as some of Kentucky’s darker slave history and historic women. Great museum that I would recommend for all ages.

Loved the Art Displayed. There's always something going on. I attended the Live Lipstick War Poetry show and it was fuel for my soul! I look forward to all that the Museum has to offer.

Very nice many many things to look at. Nice gift shop well go back to visit when I'm back in town.

Staff welcoming and helpful in introducing the museum. Enjoyed the exhibits. Interactive ones as well. Bought a variety of items from the great gift shop. Reasonably priced admission.

Nothing but great things to say about this museum. There is so much information it will take you longer than expected to get through. There are 3 levels and it’s mostly Kentucky and bourbon history including Lewis and Clark, famous people and a break down of bourbon. Our only regret is we didn’t expect it to take as long as it did so we had to rush through. Recommend!

A good day out for anyone visiting or resident of Kentucky. There is so much to see, and it's worth the price of entry. People don't realize how important Kentucky is and has been. Frazier does a good job of showing all sides of history. From Corvettes to bourbon, there is so much to see and experience. Even as a lifelong Kentucky resident, I was amazed at how many celebrities were from my home state. Definitely a must see!

Absolutely love it here, went for the first time in over 20 years!! I love their water sensory area, just a cool place for all ages really! Will recommend and will be going back!

We purchased a membership as we enjoyed taking our children, that was until we finally made our way to the third floor. I couldn’t have been more disappointed and disgusted by the political and social garbage they are trying to push onto our children. Science is the only thing you should focus on, not brainwashing. We won’t be returning or renewing our membership.

Neat museum with info and displays from kind of all over. Miniatures displays, bourbon displays, sports displays were all great. Staff is very friendly. My only knock is the museum flow is a little confusing. Fun little trip

Had a blast! The staff even made my daughter feel special on her birthday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the cold day inside.

I’m going to be honest, I haven’t been to the KSC since I was a kid. I was maybe 10 last time I went, and I’m 24 now. I have my own kids too so figured let’s go check it out after all these years. We went 2-3-24 & I was quite disappointed to be honest. My kids had fun and we had a good family day, I can’t fully complain and say I didn’t have fun but they have downgraded in my opinion. My kids were 3, 5, and 10. I feel like there was just too much to read, I know that science is about reading but still. Also I feel they just tried to hard to make everything “interactive” but that’s the crazy part was it once was also interactive. I understand that things change through the years, but when I was younger they had an airplane that you could actually go inside of, and play as a passenger or pilot. There wasn’t just a UPS truck, they had an ambulance, a cop car, a little bus. We didn’t get to see the water exhibit on our visit because there was a line and we didn’t play in the play area just because there was a little crowd that way. I also remember just years ago when they newly introduced an exhibit showing a fetus and how it develops. That was the last time I went and they don’t even have that anymore. I would say this is still a great place to come and get out of the house, learn new information and make memories. I just wish they would maybe make some changes that are similar to what it used to be.

Really great place to take your kids. Can be a tad pricey, but it's usually worth it if you manage to go on a less-busy day. Lots of activities and things to experiment with. A great way to spend the day. I'd recommend just getting the yearly pass. It pays for itself with 2 or 3 visits.

The Kentucky Science Center is a great place to make memories! There's always interactive exhibits to enjoy and new experiences to have. I've been taking my family to the science center for years to share my love for science and the world around us!

Had a wonderful visit during the Christmas holiday season. The Lights on Main tree display was definitely a highlight...as well as the Old Forester Holiday Decanter exhibit! The Kentucky show stirs emotions for anyone who lives in this amazing state..Thank you Frazier for giving us everything COOL KY.

Outstanding experience. I learned more about Kentucky in the 2 hrs. I spent there than in my previous 68 yrs. The displays were well thought out and extremely interesting. The museum has 3 floors of easy to navigate space. Great museum and a must see when visiting Louisville.

Took my daughters and my nieces here a few days ago. My 4 yr old probably had the best time out of any of them. She LOVED the water exhibit. She could have stayed there all day lol. It was great for an activity to get the kids out of the house.

It was great! Had my daughter and two granddaughters with me. A hands-on experience that was very entertaining and learning. The girls would have liked to stay longer! If you go, have to visit the maker center and create some art! My granddaughters suggest the smash art!

Great stop in downtown Louisville to learn more about the history of Kentucky. I particularly liked the third floor exhibit "Spirit of Kentucky" with The Bottle Hall and interactive Gracious table. I got a better appreciation of how the history and geology of Kentucky make it the best place to make bourbon. There are 2 staff led tours at 11 am and 1 pm and daily bourbon tastings. It was well worth the $12/person entry fee.

Beautiful museum and wonderful art. First floor had a gift shop/coffee shop and a creativity center for the children. The second floor had a continuation of the dresses from the first floor. The third floor had canvases if beautiful art work with a local artists working on a master piece. Very friendly, clean, and amazing place.

Very cozy museum. They Definitely go for quality than quantity when it comes to their displays. They also have slam poetry every last Saturday of the month. Definitely will visit again!

Its cheap and the gift shop area is really cool. Good cappuccinos here too. The viewing rooms are somewhat odd. One room had a tiny bit of history on Louisville parks. The other was an expensive ikea type area. They get 4 stars though because its cheap to visit. The front reception area persons are really nice. Clean bathrooms, cool shop area trinkets and the cappuchanchans are top notch.

So much incredible art packed into a small space! It's worth it every time we visit. We are always pleasantly surprised.

It's free, kind of small as there's only 2 exhibits at a time, 3 floors, your in and out in roughly 20-30 minutes. The exhibits they had were interesting though, good amount of information for the pieces.

I absolutely loved KMAC. I wish I could go back!
My friends and I were out-of-towners visiting from up north for a conference in the city, and this museum was one of the only places we could find open on a Sunday before flying out.
I'm so glad we found it. The ultimate museum aesthetic and feel- so warm and cozy and friendly. All the art was, of course, beautiful and thought-provoking.
Even the coffee was absolutely delicious and made on the spot. My friends and I stayed here for a good while just chatting and hanging out in the lobby after viewing the pieces.
The employees on the ground floor were highly knowledgeable and so kind and relaxed. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. You could tell right away that they absolutely were passionate about the arts.
On top of all this, admission was free!
I still keep my pamphlets and stickers that I got here, and if I ever come back to Louisville I will 100% stop by. I'm sure my friends would say the same.
