Wow don’t miss out on this museum. If you’re a dinosaur nerd like me, you’ll really enjoy this.
Lots of fossils, pretty cool history description. You can see archaeologists actively working on newly found fossils behind the window. Lots of the fossils in this museum are actually from drumheller and are local to Alberta. Definitely a good experience. Lots of fun learning opportunities for kids and they also offer food in summer which unfortunately was closed when I visited in winter. Make sure you give yourself enough time to explore everything the museum has to offer. I’d recommend 5+hours.
Lots of parkings around. as well as for rvs
Haven’t been back since 2005 so it was a fun nostalgia trip. Lots of exhibits and fossils to see. Went on a Saturday at 1 pm and it was fairly busy but not so busy that you couldn’t find parking or couldn’t take single photos without people in the back. Definitely didn’t have to worry about tickets being sold out either.

Definitely had as much fun now as I did when I was 10. And crazy enough, they still had the small plush I bought when I was a kid in their gift store. I absolutely loved the dinosaur plush but lost it. It rocked my world to see it again and to be able to purchase and own it again as a part of history.

Always a favorite place for our family for decades! Glad to share this with my kid now. Great place and the new improvements to the interpretive trail are awesome as well as to the rest of the museum. We did a Dino dig too with them once and it was worth it. Displays the history of Dinosaurs and Alberta very well. We truly are the place where most things dinosaur happened.
A beautiful display of fossils from around the world. The museum has done an excellent job explaining the history and significance for each finding. We came on a Sunday afternoon, there was no wait and we bought tickets on the spot. Expect to spend about 2 hours here going at a steady pace without kids. With kids you could spend 4 hours here easily. There are pretty views of the badlands and hiking trails at the top of the stairs outside. Inside, be sure to check out the greenhouse area - it's tucked away and easy to miss if you're not paying attention.
My first time here and my mind was blown!!!!
Wow!
The exhibits are very well done and have awesome details about each fossil!
The flow of the exhibits is really good! There’s lots of space! The lab are was cool!
Totally worth the $21 admission!!!
I went here on a Thursday around 12:30 pm, and it was closed 😥 There's a few colorful dinosaurs on the walk, so at least you will see something.

A wonderful location for the entire family.😃There are several amazing exhibits and dinosaurs🦖🦕 to view. For a quick break, there is a small food court 🍱. Great gift shop with a variety of items for shoppers of all ages. For the little ones to use as an outdoor playground to burn off some excess energy. The walking trail has wonderful views. Get ready to climb the steps from the lower parking area. Top parking garages are frequently crowded. Wonderful day for both adults and children.
Very organized and interactive! Great for all ages! Be sure to plan for 2 or 3 hours at least to take it all in and not rush!!
**Would have definitely been better if they had used some of the multimillions of dollars they received from the government and private sponsors to focus on and present the actual truth. To have more inclusion of the Creation Origin story and proven factual history and far less focus on there agenda of pushing 'God' out of everything. "Nature, science and God are one and the same and are not enemies but rather allies."

An amazing place for the whole family. Lots of cool exhibits and dinosaurs to see. Little food court there for a little break. Great gift shop with lots of options for all ages. Playground outside for the little ones to burn off some extra energy. Great views on the walking path. Prepare to walk up from the lower parking lot. Top parking lots are usually full. Great day for kids and adults
Small but interesting place. We were looking for the Tyrell museums but came up stopping here. We were amused of the streets with different miniature dinosaurs.. it has minimal entrance fee and lots of parking around the streets.
Lovely quiet museum packed full of history, stories & knowledge. Lots of things to see, a broad history of the local area & people. Definitely worth checking out!
It's one of the must see places if you like history!
Great love the model train! Definately worth supporting with a visit!
Very nice museum in Drumheller that's been there for many many years and it's a little Hidden Gem that are not a lot of people know about..... the local people that made this Museum possible did a fantastic job....
Absolutely fantastic place for cheap. A must see. Worth going out of the way if you are in southern Alberta. The gentleman at the front was great.
Very good small museum. But there is a monument was discovered out the entry. It's the second time.Record the dark history of Canada.Force other ethnic Canada residents to do hard labor. The last time they built a main road near Banff. There are also concentration camps here, where also restrict freedom and forced labor.Fortunately, Canada is willing to face history and left many monuments to let people know about the history. Hope such things will never happen again.
What an awesome place. Was impressed with the steam engine tractor. Great story telling place of the early 1900s
Very cool collection of antiques, separated into themes/rooms. Antique cars and farm equipment, medical equipment etc.
It's full of childhood memories. People will love this place. It has everything that we used before the digital era
Eclectic place that we checked out on the way home from the Royal Tyrell Museum. The service was a little slow and the cinnamon buns don’t have icing but the coffee was decent and there was a lot of items for sale.
Interesting to go through the places they have set up . A step back in time
During the summer they have an outdoor theater, dinner and a play . Very well set up .
Cool little museum. Every local should stop by and check this place. One of the best hidden gems in Drumheller. Fun fact: this is the same building where the first "fossil/dinosaur museum" was in Drumheller, long before the Royal Tyrrell. Show some respect!
There is a surprising variety of interesting stuff here! Lots of local history, interesting rocks and minerals, and even a small gift shop that offers products that are a little more diverse than what you'll find elsewhere in town. I found the volunteer staff member running the place to be very friendly and helpful, and I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you've got some time to kill in Drumheller! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
