Anthony was great to work with. He explained what he was doing and explained how the equipment plugs and seeds the lawn at the same time. He also made sure he covered all the areas he was contracted to do. It was a great experience.

Poor service. I prepay for the year. They never show up. This is my second year with trugreen and my lawn is progressively getting worse.

I have been using trugreen for almost a decade at different residential locations and as of this past year their service has been horrible. With a lawn that has been completely killed by them and full of weeds now. While having paid for all of the services that would supposedly prevent this. To a home that was sprayed with mosquito spray resulting in staining and horrible communication to get the issue resolved. Which they ultimately did. They are persistent with sales but never with communication when you want to meet with a tech on site. They are a clearly a company that cannot handle the growth they have taken on. You will be much better with a small local company. They seem to have lost touch and hiring incompetent staff. The phone service people are always pleasant but that is all.

Not sure if it was OK to spray my lawn in 90° heat or what.
Wasn't expecting it to kill my grass. Clovers yes. My goal was to improve my lawn, not kill it ???

Employee rang the doorbell nice & early , around 7:20 am as he was instructed to do. Also was instructed to spray the edges around each grass section by me & the company. Then he went across the large main areas. It’s just like painting your ceiling or walls in your home. A nice neat job.I gave him a bottle of water when he was done. C. Mik.
Horrible. company killed my grass. Sent someone back out who was about to spray my whole yard again with weed killer!Never came back to seed. The date to seed it was always mysteriously cancelled(probably because it was gonna be a free service). Promises made for this year and had weed killer on my order after I told them 100 times do not put weed killer on my lawn. Canceled again today for the second time. If someone from TruGreen sets foot on my lawn I’m calling the police at this point. They can not be trusted. Save your money. My lawn looked better before they ever came.

Update: Since writing this review I heard from and spoke with Victor from the Rocky Hill office who listened to my complaints and concerns. He agreed to a partial refund to compensate me for the damage done. I feel that this was fair and Victor was a pleasure to speak with.

I had aeration and seeding done last week. While the technician was nice, my yard was torn up and not fixed. He got the equipment stuck and required assistance to get it out. I was told it would all be written in the notes on the service document which it was not and a manager would contact me which they did not. I called the sales rep who sold me the service and he told me he could not do anything for me. I called the local phone number which brought me to a call center who also told me they could only “relay a message”. Terrible customer service.

A manager has visited my property since my discussions with TruGreen after many repeated attempts to explain that I don't want technicians I want a field manager because my lawn is being destroyed. I've sent photos of a lush green lawn no patches. It has been turned into a yellow patched disaster. My neighbors who don't do anything with their lawns have no burn marks on their general lawns.

Although very pleasant, The use of technicians that come out not understanding lawns or having enough industry experience is a problem as well. there's a huge communication breakdown among the technicians and various departments I personally had to stop a third technician from attempting to apply a third application on my burnt lawn.

My lawn would have been completely White had I not stopped them.

I called to report my lawn turning yellow after a first summer application that was applied in high heat. After that they sent someone over who was supposed to review the lawn instead he applied another application. I called back in again to say now my lawn is very burnt. They sent over a third person who I ran outside to, he was holding a sprayer about to spray the lawn a third time. That's why I feel there's a communication breakdown that led to this situation.

The customer care 911 email likewise have many different admin people who in my opinion don't research the client enough. I try to communicate but I get a reply from a different person each time. Today they tried to send out a fourth person to evaluate my lawn despite explaining that I already had a manager here and an ongoing discussion thread.

The lawn is so spotted with yellow markings and burn areas that you might as well consider this property damage.

Everyone I speak to is respectful and trying to be professional but there's definitely a breakdown of follow-through and what I feel needs to be one manager taking ownership of the whole property.

They have offered to overseed No charge based on this but I've worked so hard with them over the years to get my lawn to a perfect spot-free patch free result only to have it ruined because of these breakdown in communications.

I don't feel this resolves my situation it leaves me at the peak of our summer season with a destroyed lawn. Not much can be done from here.

They've come to attempt to reseed but my slopes pose issues. The technicians are always friendly but ultimately I'm going to have to rent a machine and do it myself by taking the time and getting a helper.

Once again the staff is very friendly I wish that the circumstances were different this summer that affected my lawn into today entering November.
