Alyson at hope valley tree farm is the best ! She is super friendly and knowledgeable about all of their high quality trees. They have a great selection of trees and reasonable prices. We love supporting local businesses and highly recommend! We will be definitely be repeat customers .

We've bought 3 trees (2 crepe myrtles, 1 live oak) from here and paid for the transport and installation. All 3 are doing great 1 year later. We got the largest sized trees we could and the staff at Hope Valley were super helpful in steering us towards what trees would work best for us. Their fertilizer is great too! We put it on our existing trees (not bought from them) and we've seen them have noticeable growth in the 6 months since we put the fertilizer. Also, if we ever have a problem or a concern with one of our trees, we give them a call and they answer our questions.
One thing though - they are a small business, so sometimes they'll forget to call you back, be a bit tardy, or take an extra call...but WAY better of an experience than going to Moon Valley.

One year later and the Eagleston Holly trees from HVTF look awesome. If you need trees in the Austin area, it’s worth traveling out to this tree farm. Great staff and service too.

Not only was the quality of our trees excellent, every single person we engaged with when ordering our two little gem magnolias was extremely pleasant, customer oriented, and competent. Honestly the customer service is what we will be coming back for! And the best part, we did this all without visiting the nursery!

After the red oak tree my builder planted failed to leaf out in its second season, I turned to Hope Valley Tree Farm for help. After discussion with them about my soil type (clay heavy), heavy moisture at the planting site, drought we were experiencing at the time and my goals for the planting location as basically the centerpiece of my front yard, I purchased a Red Drummond Maple from them. This tree is gorgeous, now in its second season it leafed out before all my other trees. It seems to have exploded with growth the first year when I compare pictures. this tree is better groomed and growing faster than the other trees my builder planted. Hope Valley Tree Farm also volunteered their expertise concerning trimming my other trees when I showed them pictures and provided a guide for how I should be treating these new trees for the first few years I have them planted. Their website also has more info about managing these expensive and critical aspects of your landscaping. I tell everyone about the quality of their products and the success of my own new favorite tree. I regularly consider going back for one of their magnolia trees as well for the backyard ha. Please visit them and see the quality specimens they carry as well as the customer service to back it up! Don’t worry they will load the truck for you!

I just got back from Hope Tree Farm in Bastrop. I have owned a home in Austin for 16 years that was close to an acre and have purchased and planted (or had planted) around 25 trees. I have bought trees from various places, nurseries, large tree sellers and box stores.
I have moved and need some trees- I did buy several smaller ornamental trees at a local nursery, and was just not sure what to do about the large trees. I went to a local tree store and got an estimate- a week later got a call asking what it would take to close the deal-ummmm that just shut the deal for me.
Did my google searches and found Hope Valley Tree Farm, had the day off and drove out. Wow, first of all it is gorgeous here- peaceful and worth coming.
I got to learn about trees and see various sizes and types, and you can see all sides of the trees here, they are spaced so this is possible. I found their prices for the trees, for the install and delivery on line, no guess work or shady car sales stuff going on.
Bonus, I made friends with a deer, sat on the front porch in a rocker and appreciated the peace and met the cat Mittens.
I will certainly buy any future larger trees here and recommend this place moving forward.
Thanks Steve for a wonderful morning on your tree farm!

So excited about our new trees from Hope Valley Tree Farm. We saw Andi at the Home and Garden Show, and were waiting for the chance to drive out there. Steve and Andi were both so friendly and very knowledgeable. We were able to pick all of our trees and get exactly what we wanted. Their trees are a great size, and so very healthy looking. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. Delivery was fast and painless. We got two large oaks, 4 crape myrtles, 3 Eagleston Holly's and a Yaupon holly. They were all delivered and installed at the same time (within 2 weeks of purchase). We're so glad we found them, and would absolutely recommend Hope Valley.

After my go to nursery closed in Austin, I was at a loss to find a place that had decent trees. The trees at most places near Austin look sick and are way over priced. I took a leap faith and called Hope Valley Farms and talked to Andi. First off, it was nice to talk to a person who took the time to answer all my questions. Second, I was absolutely shocked at the prices. Seriously, at my go to place in Austin I paid $850 for an 8 foot compact cherry laurel plus $425 to have it planted. At hope valley, I just paid $170 for a 6 foot compact cherry laurel and $130 for the planting fee. It was so cheap I bought 16 of them. The tree quality was far and away the best I have ever seen. Everything looked like it was thriving. Take into account I went at the end of December. It was only about 31 miles from Hutto and believe me it was well worth the drive. I will be recommending them from now on. Update: today they came to install my 16 trees. The owner Steve showed up on time at noon and introduced himself and his crew. The trees where unloaded and his crew stayed until about 7 p.m. to get the job done. These trees are in perfect alignment and look fantastic. The use a hand shovel at first to locate any sprinkler lines then us a jack hammer with a shovel attachment to get the hole done. They came across 3 sprinkler lines and didn't break a single one. They fertilized the trees with a special blend they developed and Steve said I should be good for a year because it is time released. They then mulched the holes and they cleaned up my yard afterwards. I couldn't be more pleased. They have definitely earned my business from now on. This kind of customer service existed years ago but I thought was lost forever. I'm glad to see a business that truly cares. So refreshing.
