East Coast Divers does not deserve 5 stars…

There really aren’t enough stars.

This old man took 30 years away from diving and in a rush to return to the sport to get in the water with a friend with a cancer diagnosis (I had limited time), ECD was just plain amazing. Dealing with this OCD engineer with 1000 questions and one foot in old school diving I’m sure tested their resolve. Every single person I spent time with was patient and thorough.

Unfortunately, my friend passed before we could dive together. But I now had the bug again and signed up for an ECD trip to Bonaire. This was SOO much more than a trip with guides. It was an immersive educational experience. (And just a great time) I watched Nick and Jake take care of the entire group with a level of attention way beyond expectations. There were too many teaching moments to list. I left the trip being far more comfortable with my diving and a keen sense of how much I have to work on.

Paul (who’s a real saint for dealing with me), Jake, Fritz, Kim, Nick and others are just amazing. In today’s world of waining customer service, ECD is a model of what caring for your customers should be.

ECD is the BEST place to learn to dive. My cousin and I did our Open Water certification through them and it was a phenomenal experience. In the pool sessions, instructors Kim and Jake were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. We joined an ECD-organized trip to Bonaire to do our checkout dives, and that too was fantastic. Nick went above and beyond giving us the best possible foundation as new divers, practicing our skills with us until we felt comfortable and competent. He is an exceptional teacher and made sure the trip was fun for everyone who went, new and experienced divers alike. With ECD, we never felt like our instructors were just checking off boxes to certify us; they are all passionate about the sport and want to make you the safest, smartest diver you can be. We will definitely go diving with them again in the future. Can't recommend them enough!!

Just visited here to get my family fitted for masks and snorkels. The service was awesome. Paul was very knowledgeable and entertained our youngest sons’ questions about marine biology. Also got some great advice for some upcoming trips. The service was worth the drive and time. Don’t have to hassle with reading Amazon reviews on how to fit masks, which masks to get, or mail order returns. We know all of our gear will fit and last a long time (with care).and the price was really competitive. Highly recommended.

Great Customer Service...A shop that stands by their word.
I purchased two Oceanic Veo 4 dive computers on ebay from Nick at ECD. One was new the other used once. They said if I had any problems let them know and they would work with me. Six months later I realized the altitude sensor was bad in the one that had been used once. I contacted Nick and worked with both him and Paul. They did exactly what they said they would do. They sent the computer back to Oceanic and I now have a properly working dive computer. These folks are great to do business with. Thank you!

East Coast Divers is an absolutely terrific group! I wanted to get certified as Open Water Diver a few months ago and the group guided me through the whole process. They are extremely accommodating, outstanding teachers, and provide all kinds of support to get certified. I have a super busy work schedule but Kim and Nick and the team were able to accommodate my never ending calendar changes. They also have great equipment for purchase. I cannot say how happy I was with them!!! I just finished my open water dives in Bonaire and finished the certification!

Hi - Did a Free Dive level one pool cert with ECD. Can’t say enough good things about the experience. Danny and Fritz who ran the class were knowledgeable, focused on safety and skills, kept a great balance of making it fun and relaxed at the same time and really importantly were very patient. I came away from the sessions excited to do more pool work and complete the open water portion of the cert as soon as possible. Nick who runs the shop is hyper responsive and passionate about helping others experience the ocean. If interested in free diving I’d recommend signing up!! Cheers to all.

Also I made the mistake of ordering a mask through Amazon, it wasn’t cheap but it leaked as didn’t fit my face. The folks at ECD will find the perfect mask for you at a price similar to Amazon. Makes all the difference.

Whether you are already a member of the diving community or just getting into it, I highly highly recommend East Coast Divers. I recently got open water scuba certified with Nick and it was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and had an amazing time doing it! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for equipment, further certification, or just want to learn more about diving, ECD should be at the very top of your list!! Wonderful place with wonderful people!!
