My daughter goes there I kinda like it however it’s always a problem when comes to payment. Your payment is due a week in advance not the week your on which to my brain it’s very confuse how Am I going to pay for service when I haven’t received it. However Arthur tries to explain but sometimes I feel he gets confused with his own explanations. I now feel to stop this headache for me I need to pay on a monthly basis not weekly nor week in advance I would know my month is paid and I don’t owe when the last week comes up on that week pay following month in full. Hopefully it works and they can stop saying I owe them 🤜🏽
I came into YMCA looking for an indoor basketball gym, little did i know they provided more than that! Thanks to the lovely Shirley at the reception desk, she assisted through the whole process and now I’m a member!!

My children went to the "Y", I signed my son up for karate n my daughter for swimming class - circa 1998 they are twins, 27 now...great place!!!
For the first time in my 20 years of living in Yonkers, I went to the Y MCA. I entered in search of lifeguard training. I was pleasantly surprised to tour the facility and interact with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. This location has it all. A computer, a printer, a game room, a weight room, and a basketball court are all available. I enrolled my son in the program, and he attends three times per week. It is spotless. My son also attends a seminar about college and anything else that young kids are interested in on Friday. It's the ideal setting for our children to stay out of trouble. I'm glad I came across this wonderful place.

..once again the YMCA is the pillar of a community. My son took swimming classes here. Great staff and you can let the kids come here without having to worry.

Gym membership is okay but how most of employees treat you is unacceptable they don't care about you. They are unprofessional, the building needs more care, and even some gym machines don't work as they have to.
The programs are wonderful, and some of the employees are wonderful, however, I digress. As other reviews indicate, the stench is repulsive! When it's not the dreadful scent of smoke, weed, or e-cigarette vape, its the dank smell of bleach and the body odor of athletes. I know the athletes are impressive and skillful, but please take a shower, or at least put some deodorant on! The building is very old, and I would take caution going into the "handball court." The "walls" of the "handball court" are a joke, because the walls' paint peels off! Finally, let me advise new members about this YMCA's feature that will make or break your experience; the receptionist! For those who are members at "Y," you know whom I'm talking about. It is of course the bald, and near-sighted receptionist whom always has a smirk on their face. This person always talks to people in a condescending tone, and is very unprofessional. Even if this YMCA resides in an economically poor location, does not give this person the right to treat others as such.
