Jenny is awesome!! This was my second time here and it’s so much fun. The paint n sip is reasonably priced and Jenny is super patient and helpful. The atmosphere is so nice, great music, and bringing your own wine/drinks is a great treat! The glow in the dark paintings are superrrr fun. Highly recommend this place, it’s a hidden gem!

I went with a couple of friends and had a great time at artmango. The place is pleasant and the instructors are great too. My friends loved the glow in the dark painting experience! :-) just bring your own bottle (BYOB) to sip as you paint Recommend!

I really like this drop off program for my 2 YO. She comes home happy. A bonus is that she comes back super cooperative at home. I really like the teachers and their process/methods. I love the way the space smells. It feels really magical inside.

This summer my 8 year old son took art classes here (5 classes). It was a great experience for him, where he was exposed to many different art techniques. He enjoyed himself and looks forward to going back. The instructors are extremely talented, knowledgeable, and patient. I highly recommend Jersey City Art School if you’re looking for a place to expand your (or your child’s) art skills.

I have been attending the Jersey City Art School for 3 months now (4/2023 -7/2023) and my experience has been absolutely amazing! Thomas is such an experienced and knowledgeable art instructor. He is extremely detailed, helpful and will guide you each step of the way.
I started by taking the Figure Drawing/Anatomy Workshop and loved it. I personally believe most people would benefit from this class not just artists. I learned so much about the human body and how it moves and I'm glad this was my first experience at JCAS.
I've also taken the Beginner Drawing & Painting, Portrait Painting and most recently the 5-hour Digital Introduction Workshop and all classes have been GREAT! I've learned different techniques, became more comfortable with oils and had the opportunity to get my feet wet with digital art!
The past 3 months have been educational, fun, therapeutic and inspiring. I look forward to taking on some more classes this year! 🙌🏼

Honestly this was a terrible experience. First off, we show up as a group of 2 expecting drinks since it's a "sip and paint" and there was no bar, no notice in advance to prepare and being inside of a mall and after paying for parking who is really going to leave a mall to now go buy alcohol? You would think that us being the only ones who reserved would mean better one-on-one attention/service but not at all. So with only two people she couldn't do a courtesy email letting us know in advance it's BYOB? Jeni didn't once ask how's it going? Need
she kept painting before we were even ready to move on and completely finished the painting where we were now trying to do our best to remember the steps on our own. She sat there complaining about being tired and on her phone the entire time and in the end just spoke to a friend who came in person. She missed a whole step of our painting and we were only even told because we asked she didn't tell us there would've been more and due to time etc. we were unable to but are of course free to do so on our own. Lastly, once done, we asked her to please turn off the lights so we can see our "glow in the dark" painting and she really looked at us with an annoyed face and asked if we didn't see how much of a hassle it was to do so and proceeded to NOT do so. I responded with "I'm sorry for being such an inconvenience" and all I received was "It's okay." Absolutely disgusting and never coming back. Huge waste of my time and money and terrible customer service.

This is exactly the problem. There were a lot of other issues other than just no bar. So we thought we’d share so you can improve your quality of service for future customers. I attended a painting class here and couldn’t be happier!! Thomas is incredibly skillful as an artist and as a teacher. I can’t wait to take another class and learn more from him!

Excellent and extremely technically skilled teacher who will give you a through historic understanding of the background and work with you individually even in a group class so you can learn at your own comfortable pace! Highly recommend classes with Thomas!

I signed up for the class that was supposed to begin from Jan 8th. It was a 6 week program so I had made sure that I was available for the next 6 weekends. Firstly, the class did not start on the intended date. Secondly, after only 1 session, the class got moved to March and I could not accommodate the class in my schedule.

Not only am I not being given the refund for the class, but also not being offered an alternate program. It’s soo soo hard to get a response over email. For every 4 emails I sent to the school, I get response to 1 of them back. Now I do understand that the class schedule was altered because of the teacher’s heath issues and there’s not much anyone could have done about it. But I don’t think it’s professional to not respond to the emails/accommodate students if the class schedule was moved by 3 months!!
I practically paid $400 for 1 class. My experience with the studio has been nothing short of painful and I wish I had taken the reviews more seriously.

This is a fantastic environment to either learn new skills or further develop your existing artistic abilities. Amazingly talented instructor and flexible policies. Highly recommend!

I took my team for our holiday party. We had the absolute best time. I brought a bunch of finger food and wine. They were super patient and extremely helpful. We got great tips when painting. Thank you so much for making this experience memorable.

I just had a paint and sip for the 1st time with my little ones. We had a great experience from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend Art Mango to anyone looking for a judge free, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. 🎨🖌🙌

Jenny is amazing ! She is so personable and super knowledgeable . She does great work and is so inspiring I cant wait to come back to do more paintings with her !

I would be careful about going here. About 30 min into the figure drawing class, two other adult students were very rude to me and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Even worse, when I told the teacher that these students were targeting me, he said “she’s very entitled, but i can’t turn her away. They come every week and we need the money”. The teacher offered me a refund but made me feel like other student’s money was more important than me feeling comfortable during the session. I was looking forward to going to this class every week, but was really disappointed in the facilitator’s attitude and lack of authority. it’s unfortunate!

EDIT: I am updating this review to say that I had received an email from Jersey City Art school and want to clarify that this instance wasn't reflective of the organization as a whole. It meant a lot to me that my complaint was taken seriously and I still support this organization. times have been tough in general for artists!

This organization a gem in the heart of jersey city. Great staff and great programs. I can not say enough positive things about this organization. My kids have participated in the camp and in school programs and I am so glad Educational Arts exists!

I had a great time with my family at Art Mango! We did the butterfly painting and our teacher Jenny was awesome. She gave us great tips to make our paintings come out looking professional! Definitely coming again.

My daughter attended a few classes in Greehouse last year. All of them were so creative and interesting! The teachers were very nice. We still have some of the artwork to decorate our place)
We loved this place, but moved from Jersey City.

Came here with a LivingSocial voucher for a 2.5-hour brunch / painting class. Tanya, the instructor, is a wizard with her students. She is affable, patient, and attentive. We created a full painting in the course, and learned some great techniques along the way. No experience is necessary!
