oh wow
One of the best places in Toronto to enjoy the nature with kids and alone.
Have been there twice or three times. The hiking trail is a real adventure with scenic perspectives! Better to be in a team with an expert leader or having the map of trail with yourself. Plenty of lakes/river there might have mosquitos during summer, so be prepared for them!
My son attended the High Park Nature Centre program for youths and he had an absolute blast! Informative and helpful instructors, friendly participants, lots of good outdoors time!
Such an amazing beautiful park in downtown Toronto , can visit all year round.
A great place to meet some friends safely with social distancing while staying out of the rain.

So relaxing. Lived in Toronto my whole life and dicided to go for a bike ride and walk through High Park. I saw so much wildlife and nature that I'm not used to seeing. Lakeshore was close enough to go biking too.
Beautiful trail..however watch out for ticks if you have a dog! We walked our dog there at the end of October and she ended up having many ticks. She was on her leash too and was not in the brush.
Nicely paved and well marked walking trails. Great spot to see Fall colours as well in October. Very peaceful and quiet on weekdays especially.
A wonderful place to relax or to spend a nice day with the family. A well-developed network of paths and varied views of flora and fauna. A lake, a small animal park and of course
There’s an information centre at the entrance with helpful staff. We did the Vista Trail and it was a lovely and very quiet trail. There is a observation deck with views into the forest below. The beginning of the trail is not very well covered so it can get hot if it’s a sunny summer day.
Welcome To The Beare Wetlands

I was on a group hiking tour today along the Orchard Trail out in the Twyn Rivers area and during the walk we stopped by the Beare Wetlands.

I tried to take pictures of the snapping turtles, but I am Not even sure if I saw them or Not!

I want to personally Thank the Toronto Region Conservation Authority for hosting a Very Nice Hike Today back on Sunday, August 5, 2018.

Sincerely yours,

A not so challenging area to get around in terms of hiking, but it definitely doesn't take away from it's natural scenery! Lots of different areas to walk through and check out, and saw many people with their dogs & families which is always lovely to see!
High Park is a true treasure. The skating rink is great, hockey and leisure skate areas. The playgrounds are fantastic, the zoo is great and the food is cheap and delicious. I could spend days strolling around exploring and enjoying the nature and wildlife. Beautiful place.
Beautiful park with trails along a very pretty creek. Geocaching too!
Wheelchair accessible portapotties, lots of parking, great vistas, quiet forest 🌳 and varied forests. The only drawback is the highway is close, you definitely hear it and the loop is closed so you need to track back. Other than that it's witchy and wonderful.
