We've loved Poppytons since the Proof days. This time, we booked them for our 4 year covid delayed wedding reception for the dessert bar, and it was wonderful! I loved the idea of a dessert bar rather than one cake to get my hands on all sorts of different fun treats. Everything was delicious! From our raspberry chocolate cake to the banana and lemon tart and the vegan panna cotta for select guests, it was great! Highly recommend!
I absolutely love Poppytons! Their poptarts are just one of my favorites! The flaky crust and delicious filling, makes my mouth water just typing this review! My favorite is the lemon. I love all their sweets! You can definitely tell they use only the finest ingredients. I will continue to be a regular customer!
I've had the pleasure of eating Poppytons creations a few times. This place is the real deal. If you are a foodie, or a fan of any of the cooking type shows on TV, then trying Poppytons Patisserie is a must! Everything they make is awesome. The word "Meraki" comes to mind when I think of Poppytons.
Everything we ordered was amazing, it was moist, not too sweet and pillowy soft. Will be going back every time we are in Tennessee.
I was in the area visiting some family and had the distinct pleasure of tasting a few different treats from Poppytons. Everything was absolutely delicious, with the highlight being their pastries that are everything that pop tarts and toaster strudel wish they were! Perfectly flaky and frosted and sweet…. Can’t wait to get my hands on some again! If you have the opportunity to try anything that was made by Poppytons, don’t hesitate, you will be delighted!
I can't say enough about the products Poppytons Patisserie produces. Beyond fantastic!! The perfection of everything, the cakes, the chocolate chip cookies, caramels, peanut brittle, poppytarts and everything else. I can truly say you won't find anything better. The chefs there are artists at what they do.
Excellent pastries! They have extremely addicting gourmet pop-tarts, pillowy soft marshmallows, and little salted caramels that pretty much just unwrap themselves and jump into your mouth - or so it seemed. The cakes are also professionally executed and delicious!
Such a cute place with delicious little pastries, jams and things. Was surprised with the customer service, girl with the tattoos was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed when I asked any questions about a pastry or what they have to offer. Unfortunate but I do see this sort of customer service often around Chattanooga.
Best Place I have ever worked. As in all jobs, there are highs and lows, but overall, most of the employees are loyal and hard-working. The owners are involved and interact on a personal and professional level with their management team as well as the regular staff members.
Dan the Cakeman is a delight to work with. His knowledge and expertise makes ordering a breeze!

The Peanut Butter cookie is the absolute BEST cookie that I have ever had and I consider myself to be a cookie expert. I have also enjoyed their specialty cookies of the month, all delicious. You MUST try this place!
There are a variety of pastries, breads, and sandwich options to choose from. I got two loaves of bread (cranberry pecan and white). Both were soft in the center and perfectly crusty on the outside. I also got a croissant and cinnamon roll. Everything was wonderful, and major bonus points for having rock climbing books on hand!

I could not have been more pleased with my experience at Cupcake Kitchen! They did a phenomenal job on my custom ordered cookies for my son’s 1st birthday, and the cupcakes were beautiful as well. Every single bite was delicious, even after they had been in our hotel room for a couple of days! I am so thankful I chose them for such a special occasion, we will be back the next time we visit Chattanooga!

Ok. This was our first and only trip here. Let's start with when we first get there. They have a sign hangout saying no public bathrooms. My husband has to go next door to use the bathroom. Which is against federal law. We should have known this wasn't going to be good and just left at this point. Away we look at what's available while my husband walks across the street in the rain so he can pee and rush back to get something for all of us so we can finish out trip to the pediatric neurology at Children's. I was excited to see the actually have napoleon here! We all pick out what we each want. 4 individual size items ran us $20. Ok, well, it looks good, so for the price , I look forward to some fresh, delicious bakery goods. So my son and I each got a napoleon. OMG, it was so stale, and the custard was like rubber! It was absolutely horrible. I have never been so disappointed. Just after finding a place that sells napoleon, I'm this area I lost it. Then my husband and daughter each got a brownie. One had the smore and the other one that was all chocolate. They were also stale and dried out and just horrible. This is the first time I have ever paid this much for bakery items (lots of amazing bakeries where I grew up and my Mom even worked in one) and first time I have not gotten fresh items made that day. I don't know how old these items were, but they were too old to be selling to customers. I am really disappointed. We really wanted to try this place and like it but will continue to look for a good quality bakery in this area. We definitely weren't prepared for this level of disappointment. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business.
We stopped in during our trip through Tennessee last week. I was so surprised and happy with all the gluten free options!! I got a strawberry cupcake with strawberry icing. Absolutely delicious. My husband got a birthday cake cupcake. We both loved it!! The girls working the counter were so nice and helpful. We will definitely return if we’re ever in the area!
This place has soo many cupcakes it gives Publix bakery a run for its money. The vanilla cupcake with buttercream icing I got was soo good! The apricot cinnamon macaroon was soo good too. 😋 I noticed they had some Italian wedding cookies which you can’t find in stores very much anymore. They also had a bunch of brownies including a German chocolate one that looked so good. They had tons of macaroon flavors and other things likes cannoli’s that are definitely on my try bucket list. Cupcakes come in a beautiful pink box that would make anyone feel special for a gift that likes sweets on their bday, etc.. It’s definitely a sweet beam of light to Chattanooga. 💗💗💗💗💗
For driver's, while driving to route, please go slow and read the signs... Don't go the truck route, the sign says no trucks but he'll go that way!!! Yeah it's Tennessee, a country thang. Look up the hill around corner is the shipping department... Look at the pictures you will see the bays... No where to park or back up but your a truck driver so figure it out... Oh, yeah their are multiple trucks coming behind you so be mindful of them... Good luck, yes they bless you with snacks, fast loading and good communication with staff to get you rolling... I want to go back those mini moon pies were the bomb, did I say two boxes... They are the best, aka the retarded truck driver....
The cinnamon roll was delicious, as were the double chocolate cherry cookies and chocolate chip cookies. The "nearly white" bread was to tough to bite and chew. We were only able to eat about 30% of the loaf (the very middle portion was just soft enough). I will be back for the dessert options.
I own and manage this wonderful little bakery. It was A dream come true to open it. We love our passion to serve our customers. Baking is my passion. While exploring the amazing city of Chattanooga, on my way to try some tasty beers @Cherry Street Brewing (also recommend!), walked by this place & was rewarded with the best cookies (especially the sugar with sprinkles for me - although my family would argue the bestest of the other 3 we got!)!! Travel everywhere & always look for local cookie & chocolate & sweets, but rarely find a *great* sugar cookie with sprinkles (no icing needed thank you!). 🥰
Wow! We split a Coffee Ice Cream Cupcake (they're huge) and got a few to try later. Everything was delicious! We tried the strawberry shortcake, pineapple upside down cake, and chocolate chip cookie dough. The young lady who helped me was particularly delightful.
Had a 90s birthday theme for my husbands birthday and she did great detail on the top, I chose the banana pudding cake and it was so delicious everyone loved it, the chocolate drizzles added such a good flavor combo and I loved the 90s candy that was added everyone loved the toppings ❤️
Go right now! It's May and the Margarita cookie is the best cookie ever. Fluffy and gooey and just the right amount of salt/sour with all the sweet :) my husband doesn't seek out sweets....but this, he's gone back twice for. (sorry this 1/5 of a cookie is the only pic I have after digging in.)
There is nothing more delightful than a loaf of artisan bread that is crusty on the outside and feather light on the inside. It’s even better popped into the toaster and slathered with real butter. You will find the most divine artesian breads here such as Garlic with cloves of real garlic, cheese and pepper, cheese, and anything but white, to name a few. Of course it’s not a bakery without cinnamon rolls, sticky buns or double chocolate cookies. The croissants are huge, yet supremely flaky and light in texture. Everything is made by hand here. A loaf of bread and two croissants were a little over $19. Very good parking.
I have attempted to call them several times this morning to place my order for the same sandwich that the employees themselves have encouraged me in the past to call ahead for since it takes 15-20 minutes to prepare. I work in the restaurant industry I’m a very patient person so assuming that they were busy I decided to walk in and place the order in person, but at my arrival I realize that there’s no other customers at this time and there’s a few different employees that could have answered the phone at any point. Why encourage customers to call ahead if their calls aren’t even going to be answered?
Can’t say enough good things about this place. Amazing cupcakes, cakes & the staff are awesome! Rachel the manager makes miracles happen! So accommodating! They made my dream wedding cake 5 yrs ago and made my 40th bday cake at the last minute. It was nothing less than perfect. Rachel new exactly what I wanted too. Thanks for helping to make beautiful & delicious memories. The cake in the photo is raspberry almond.
Beyond impressed! They did an absolutely amazing job on my custom order of highland cow cupcakes. Not only were the cupcakes adorable, but they tasted great too! I will definitely be using them again for future events.

I cannot help but circle back to my favorite - their chocolate chip cookies - chocolatety goodness (they do not skimp on the chocolate bits) with just a hint of salt providing the ultimate sweet and savory experience with each bite! Whether you are looking for a vegan or a non-vegan treat or treats, you cannot go wrong with whatever you select from Poppytons.
Best bakery in town! Not only do they put a lot of time and energy into the perfect pastries, but they also pay living wages and use the best ingredients for their products. I have a hard time leaving without eating a few slices of bread on my way out. Their croissants are amazing, as well as to-go pies and other treats. They are my go-to stop for nice gifts/food to bring to events, dinners, etc. Highly recommend- you get what you pay for and this place is worth it!
Walking in downtown Chattanooga and came across these cute little cupcake store. If you can't find something you like here then you aren't going to find it anywhere else. They had so many different flavors of cupcakes, ice cream cupcakes, brownies, cookies, even treats for the fur babies. They also had Gluten free and no sugar added treats. Truly it seemed like they had something for everyone. We got the (l-r) lemon, pineapple upside down cake, German chocolate and strawberry shortcake cupcakes. All of them were nothing short of amazing and delicious. Be prepared if you don't like people and also spaces, this is a smaller shop that gets cramped quickly. None the less, If you enjoy the sweets, this place is a must try!!

I found this place by chance and wow...SO good! The red velvet cake is what I had and it was amazing! The lady and gentleman I spoke to were very helpful and nice as well. I highly recommend this place!

JB has been around for years. They have good stuff but it's the same thing year after year. I think they are overdue for a menu refresh.
My son and I visited for the first time a few days ago, and had a nice experience! We chose 4 types of cookies: flavor of the month salted caramel & chocolate cherry, along with their sugar cookie & snickerdoodle cookie. We also tried the birthday cake frosting dip. All the cookies tasted delicious, and still tasted great three days later! The head baker who assisted us (I think her name is Courtney) was really nice. The store is bigger than it looks from the outside, and includes seating if you'd like to eat your cookies inside. You can even view the cookies being made from their side window. I think this is a cute shop that has opened up last year in Chattanooga!
My grandfather introduced me to the famous Moon Pie when I was small. I still enjoy them now, vanilla being my favorite. Every time I eat one, I am reminded of the day I was introduced to the Moon Pie.

Must stop in Chatt!! Amazing Cream Horns, like get 3 for yourself amazing. The staff is sweet and kind. We visited on a Friday about 10 am and the shells were still warm. No place to eat inside so we tailgated in the parking lot and watch planes take off over head. 10/10 experience. 1000/10 food. Will be back!
This is the best donuts, cake, cookies and pastries anywhere in the tristate area. It's like Crispy Cream and Lays had a bakery baby! Crazy good and very fair on pricing. The staff has been at it for years and don't miss. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!!!

A very unique idea! It’s not just the “play on words” name, it’s the FOOD, with no exaggeration it’s the best cake I’ve eaten. The service was great they had enough staff to handle a line out the door, still very prompt and polite. Every time I go, I get an extra to give to somebody I know, and I will be returning many more times.
Order the breakfast sandwich!!! We love their breakfast, coffee, and desserts. I got an apple pie spread and honey today which are very delicious :) The bread and spreads are amazing too, we got the mushroom flavor last time. I'm glad we finally started going here!

If you love cream horns, especially those double stuffed with cream, head to Jackson Bakery. This bakery makes the flakiest pastries filled with generous portions of fruit and cream. Once you try their danishes, you will never buy grocery store again. Their handmade apple pie was bursting with apples and delicious. You can also custom order a cake and pies and they have a nice assortment of cookies. Well worth the visit.
We were on our way to a dinner at friend's and happened to find this spot by chance. What a gem. Couldn't have been a better experience. The ladies working were so nice and happy to help us. We left with 4 small cakes which were all a hit at dinner. They were all so delicious. We will absolutely be going back to check out what Lady J is baking!!
An amazing experience. 5 stars isn't even enough. I ordered a 2 tier vanilla Elmo themed cake for a very good price. She bakes her cakes with every ounce of her soul and pays attention to detail. VERY TALENTED! I am mindblown at how good she made VANILLA taste. It was a hit at my daughter's party. Her communication/customer service was great and super professional. LOVE her personality too! She had the perfect box for the cake to protect it and you can tell she cared about your cake. I look forward to ordering from her again ❤️

Our love for Poppytons started from the first dessert we ordered at Proof. Every time we go back we try a new dessert and are always wowed by the flavor. We asked Poppytons to do our wedding cake back in May. Kendra was great to work with. She was timely in her responses and patient with me while discussing our cake details. It turned out fantastic! Not only was it beautiful, but our cake had multiple layers, all packing that delicious flavor we are so used to getting in their individual desserts. If you’re looking for baked goods for your next event or wedding, look no further! You’re in the right spot :)
Delicious cookies and super friendly atmosphere. We went this morning and we’re greeted by the owners who welcomed us and enthusiastically explained their cookie flavors. I was greeted upon arrival on my riverboat cruise on the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga with a complimentary Moonpie. I learned that these wonderful treats originated and still are made right there in Chattanooga! What a beautiful city! I have since purchased the Moon Pie snack puffs, and wow!!!!! Delicious! Impressed by this company, and the city of Chattanooga!

Seriously spectacular!! The cake was so well made from the smallest details to the taste! Everyone was shocked at how well the cookie and cream flavor came through and had nothing but compliments! The cake was such a spectacular center piece and star of the show. My husband was incredibly impressed by the details that matched his blues perfectly. The communication was wonderful. LaShondra and her family were so sweet! Cannot recommend enough!

The quarter sheet cake id ordered is perfect and exactly what I’d hoped it’d be ! Ordered my sons cake from here last year so knew I had to order mine from here and am so happy that I did! As has been stated, pay no attention to the NO TRUCKS sign on Manufacturers Rd. Drive through then turn into the parking are on your left and walk to the office. Fairly easy to dock. Ask for free product when getting your bills. Good people.
The homemade bread is so delicious, it can be eaten plain and without being warmed. The cinnamon rolls are huge and so sinfully delicious. And lastly, do not leave this place without purchasing a cream cheese muffin…..you will not be disappointed! The staff is so friendly. Highly recommend!
They need to let someone that is passionate about this business/bakery take over! I don't understand not doing a simple cake order the way someone orders it! Wanted "Burgundy Roses" all over the cake and I got brown circle swirls! Ugly Ugly Cake! Not the only time I have ordered and they don't want to do what you want. Not like I'm asking for a difficult design or something really hard, simple cake with ROSES ON THE TOP! Not circles- they call rosettes! I asked for roses all over and didn't care it would cost a little more! But still can't do what I asked. I let them know, they tell me well you can come get another cake they have there before they close! In 30 Minutes!! We are on way to dinner party! Really? With this 🤮 looking cake! Always seems to be a wall when ordering they don't want to do what is asked so why do cakes! It's totally sad!
They made a wonderful strawberry cake for my mom's 70th Birthday with Chantilly icing and pieces of strawberries in the icing. Will definitely use again their service was very good even with my short notice of needing a cake.
This place has some of the best cakes brownies and anything to do with baking. It's a little hidden off the street but it is a little charm if you're planning on going off the main road. It's right next to the food City, off of east brainerd road. The ladies that work here are absolutely phenomenal, they will help you with whatever you need. And FYI their cheesecake brownies are to die for.

As a photographer, Bread & Butter is one of my favorite local businesses! Everything is made in house, and they are always experimenting with new recipes! This is the perfect spot to pick up sandwiches on the go or a tasty baguette for dinner! I couldn't recommend them more!

I can’t recommend this shop enough!! The owner was incredibly sweet and was graciously able to squeeze me in last minute and turn around a gender reveal cake within a day. Not only did the cake turn out SO adorable it was DELICIOUS!!! She really helped make our little event so special. We’ll definitely be back.
Our daughter got married on NYE 2020 and despite numerous bumps in the road with venues, Covid, etc. Dan the cakeman was a constant and competent presence through it all. I shared pictures and discussed our wedding cake/cupcake vision with him and he totally came through! With numerous samples of cake and icings provided by Cakemakers, we were able to customize exactly what we wanted.The cake with multiple filling layers was a HUGE hit! Even non-cake lovers loved it! The special order cupcakes were perfect too. Beautiful AND delicious..You won’t be sorry if you go with Dan the cakeman!
Came in to town for a soccer tournament and had her make a gluten free cake for my wife's birthday. Gave no instruction other than simple is fine. She made it perfect! Great colors, amazing taste/flavor. Price seemed a little high but I'm kind of unfamiliar with comparables. Would recommend.
The best bakery I have found in the US. I drove 4 hours round trip just to pick-up apple sauce muffins (among other items). I couldn't make it the week they made them due to injury and they were so accommodating. Anson agreed to freeze the muffins for me until I was able to drive up.

The cake boutique did my son's SpongeBob birthday cake for us and it was amazing! Not only was it absolutely beautiful, it taste great as well. She built the cutest pineapple house out of rice Krispie treats. The number 5 looked exactly like a candle but it was made of white chocolate so the entire cake was edible! The price was extremely good. I'll definitely order from her again. Great job!
Where to begin?! I had such an incredible experience with the owner she was so helpful and eazy to work with. I sent photos of what I wanted and she came through, actually it was above and beyond of what I expected. She's so nice and talented. The cake and cookies are so beautiful, I don't plan on using another bakery again. She is my go to from now on. Thank you again 💞

We did a cake tasting with Dan today, and I was beyond impressed. The cakes were delicious, and Dan was so kind, warm, and personable. I have a very small guest list - and he still spend a great deal of time going over details and making me feel just as important as the brides with much larger weddings. Wonderful cake and wonderful customer service. Cant wait to see the final wedding cake!

This place is a little hidden, but is definitely worth checking out! Everything I have tried there has been delicious (cinnamon rolls, cream cheese muffins, pumpkin bars, and some other samples they had out). It costs a few cents more than going to Panera or similar for bakery items, but I think it is worth it! They also have sales every Thursday, and they even have a few gluten free breads!!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The sourdough bread is the best bread I have ever put in my mouth 🤤🤤 they have all kinds of samples to try as well, and they are all delicious. The cake is so moist and tastes amazing, some of the best I've ever had. This is by far the best bakery around. Just wish it was closer to me, it's about thirty minutes away, but well worth the drive!! They also have different specials each day. If you haven't been here, you need to go ASAP!!
I called on a Saturday morning to see if they had any "fresh" baked cakes because all of the store bought cakes come frozen and then decorated. The owner made me a cake and decorated it by 2 PM that day! It was delicious and beautiful. It is refreshing to see a business owner go out of their way to do something special for a client. Save the day for me. I will be back and recommend this business to anyone!
Did a horrible job on my sons 1st bday smash cake and the cupcakes for guests! Was supposed to be elmo and brightly colored~ she used pastels and looked more like a deformed bear than elmo! And to top it off she spelled my sons name wrong! If i had the time i would have trashed them and bought something from walmart! Anything would have been better! Than i wrote her a letter about how disappointed I was because my son only has 1 first birthday and she never even responded! Disgraceful and unprofessional! Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy! !
