We used Sweetbakes Cafe for our wedding dessert and went with four different flavored cupcakes. They were SO good and we got rave reviews on them. Jenny was so lovely to work with and the whole process was seamless. Could not recommend them enough, or just to stop in for some yummy treats. xx

The cake looked and tasted amazing! The cake designer did a great job with our dinosaur theme. Kudos to them!

I was blown away yesterday with my son's cupcake dragon!
Both the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes tasted great amd were wonderfully moist. I asked them for not overly sweet buttercream frosting and theirs was AMAZING!
And they completely nailed the dragon from the little photo that was provided.
My son LOVED IT and everyone was impressed with how good it tasted and how great it looked! Beyond highly recommended!

We had our wedding at West Hills Country Club and they work with the Pastry Garden. First off, our tasting went so well. We couldn't even choose at first what we wanted. We decided to go with chocolate mousse and strawberry preserves with white cake. Our wedding cake was absolutely to die for. Everyone loved and we loved it so much we almost didn't want to save our anniversary cake. Thank you for making us such a wonderful cake to have and enjoy.

My first and last time ordering with this shop. I had no cake for my sons christening! I placed my order via email and called to confirm cake order info. I mean we discussed the cake order in its entirety from the flavor to customizing the cross in chocolate instead of fondant. Even provided my card information and said I would pay the total payment instead of the 50% deposit but yet I was told my order was never placed when we came in to pick up the order. Mistakes happen every day but not taking accountability truly bothered me. It was very disappointing!

We have used Pastry Garden time and time again for our son's birthday parties and our work events. Their cakes are phenominal. Most especially our Numberblocks and Star Wars themed cakes (photos included) as their attention to detail with all edible characters, ended up in such beautiful artistry. We had incredible WOWs from the crowd. I want to thank Jennifer as well as the entire Pastry Garden crew for their time, customer service, attention to detail and artistry. Their love for what they do truly shows through their cakes and how they treat their customers. Thanks to all for making my sons's birthdays amazing and delicious!

So so happy to have used pastry garden for our wedding cake!! We got to meet with them, taste 4 different combinations of cakes and frostings and share pictures of what we wanted for our cake. I’m attaching a picture of a one layer cake that we used for inspiration and then attaching our wedding cake picture. Such a great match, with everything that I wanted. It was so perfect!! They took care of everything day of- bringing it to the venue and having it set up, we had nothing to worry about and I would recommend them to anyone!

I tried a slice of the rainbow 🌈 cake 🍰. It was good. I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family. It’s right next to the harbor walk bridge.

Was a nice break after crossing the bridge for some breakfast treats and after biking around Poughkeepsie for some Italian Ice. Some outside seating in the shade with plenty of space on the sidewalk to park the bikes, no public bathroom.

My venue uses them for their wedding cakes. I made an appointment for my cake tasting and was told to bring an inspiration photo.

Whoever I met with was extremely curt. I explained I’m sending out acrylic invitations and I wanted to incorporate acrylic into my wedding cake to tie it all together. The response I received from the bakery was,” if anyone even notices”.

I was told they CAN make what I want but could not assemble it. I joked that I would assemble my wedding cake in my wedding dress. They explained to me that they would be TOO busy in September to send a cake decorator to deliver my cake.

I was open to different suggestions or even paying whatever up charge to make it happen. However, I was not provided with any alternate suggestions or quoted an up charge. The advice I was given from the pastry garden was “to come up with a plan B”. So I am; I will be using another baker.

If you’re in the business of weddings and special events, you should offer better customer service and provide solutions to help satisfy customers. The cakes we tasted were mediocre. The bakery wasn’t worth the attitude.

Amazing, breathtaking cake! Unbelievably talented!

This place might represent the best of Poughkeepsie, but it would be no more than just another neighborhood bakery in a big city. The quality is acceptable, but it is far below what you can get at top notch cake houses or even many farmer's markets.

I always get my cakes for special occasions from here. My two favorite cakes have to be the cakes I got for my daughter's bday. Her 1st was a year ago and her 2nd was just this month and this bakery stays consistent with their amazing art and yummy flavors.

Jenny and her team are the absolute best. They are very kind, attentive, and do a great job with baking and decorating. I mean look at these cakes! I'm obsessed.

First cake was a marble with chocolate moose filling and the second was a vanilla with raspberry. I stayed DREAMING about that raspberry filling. We were eating cake for breakfast with a coffee it was so dang good.

Go here. Get a cake, get a cupcake, have an amazing experience.

Went for breakfast today and everything was amazing, from the food to the service!!! The breakfast sandwich on a homemade kaiser roll was absolutely delicious as were the loaded tots! Coffee was great as well. On the way out I picked up some homemade baked goods and they were quite amazing! Please support this new small business in Poughkeepsie. They deserve your support.

Went here for the first time and it did not disappoint. The breakfast and cupcakes were amazing and Jenay (Owner) was super sweet. The interior of the establishment is also very pleasing with a rustic/industrial feel with some Poughkeepsie flare.

Delicious food, good vibes, and a friendly face! The food was delicious and cupcakes were out if this world. Come support a local small business owner! Will definitely be back again!

Heavenly old fashioned homemade Italian ice, no artificial after taste ! Chocolate & lemon are my favorite. Mango, chocolate chip, raspberry & mango are all good too. Comes in several different sizes but I always go for 1 pint plus a medium size at one sitting because it’s that addictive!! Only 3 minutes drive from walkway over the Hudson if you’re taking stroll there.

Always a favorite store to visit when visiting our freshman girl on a local college campus.. so of course; I only thought of this Nothing Bundt Cakes to have a decorated cake delivered to her on her birthday! Her favorite is the confetti cake which I'm sure she'll enjoy sharing with her college friends.

You're greeted by the nice people that work there, and then you have to make the hardest decision of the day! What delicious treat(s) am I going to buy. I had a sweet tooth, so I went with a freshly made cannoli and a black and white cookie. Both were delicious and fresh! Can't wait to go back when it's warmer to have their homemade Italian Ice!

They make phenomenal Italian pastries and the red velvet birthday cake was one of the best I’ve ever had.

My wife got the OREO Cookie and creme Bundt cake from a co-worker for V-day.

WOW that was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. The cake was cooked perfectly. Moist but not too moist. The ICING 10/10. The "sweetness level" was perfect, just everything was so delicious.

It was so good the 1st thing I thought of was I HAVE TO REVIEW THIS. People need to know.

I'm 1 hour from y'all and 100% worth driving there.

i’m in college and i had one at a fundraiser and i immediately texted my mom asking to have these bundt cakes specifically to be delivered for my birthday cuz they were so good and everyone agreed they were amazing. she got me the fiesta 12 pack and the little decorations were so cute too!

We have been using Sweetbakes Cafe for our children’s birthday cakes for the past 5 years. Not only do the cakes esthetically come out amazing but the flavor is out of this world. Our favorite is strawberry shortcake. I would highly recommend for all your dessert needs, jennifer is the absolute best !

We ordered a VERY unusual cake - one that looked like a bowl of seafood soup - and it came out perfect. Ordered it for my wife's birthday and was able to pick it up from them and get it home to surprise her - she loved it. We've also had them do cakes for our daughters birthday and have an order in for a butterfly cake right now. You can tell there's lots of care and love in their work, would recommend for anyone who needs a very special cake

Went in for the first time and they had us taste test a Peppermint chocolate sample. So delicious and moist without having the peppermint overpowering the chocolate cake. My husband I opted for the red velvet. I'm not a fan of red velvet, I'm often served dry and crumbly red velvet slices. But guessing if it would be just as moist as the sample we had, let's try it! Did not disappoint!!! He loved it saying it has been the best he's tasted in a while and now I may be a new red velvet fan...

I ordered baby shower cookies for a shower I threw my aunt and they came out BEAUTIFUL!! Taste was 10/10 and the design was absolutely perfect! Will def come back for more!

Pastry garden made my cake for my 11/5/22 wedding and it was everything I had wanted and more! I went in with a picture from Pinterest and they went above and beyond to make my dream cake happen. The lace decoration was EXACTLY aa it was in the picture!

Not only was the cake stunning, but it tastes amazing! We had marble cake with layers of vanilla custard and chocolate buttercream. It was the most delicious wedding cake!

Did you know that Poughkeepsie has a little Italy? When you find yourself there, make sure you go to LaDeliziosa for the best cannolis. I’m sure everything else is delicious as well and just walking into this bakery and looking at all the goodies is delightful!

Max at the front was amazing! I placed an order for a work event and couldn't remember what name it was under. He was so patient, kind, and helpful while we figured it out. While I waited for a coworker to send me the order number he gave me some free samples (which were delicious!) Everyone at the event loved the buntlet cakes. We got the bundle of 12 which were a great price too!

We’ve ordered birthday cakes from Jenny every year since we moved to Cold Spring 4 years ago- for both of our daughters birthdays. We won’t go anywhere else! From narwhals to panda’s, tree trunks with mushrooms to boba tea- each one has far exceeded our expectations in design and taste! I send all my friends to Jenny! Super happy customers!

Jennifer is INCREDIBLE. I contacted her the week of my son's second birthday needing a cake with trains on it, and other places told me I needed a month in advance to order. Jennifer said she could put something together and I was so grateful. What she "put together" was absolutely above and beyond. She is a master at her craft and my mother in law said it was the best cake she has ever tasted. It was as delicious as it was beautiful.

Honest review here. First off the place is adorable and the staff is super friendly. The cakes itself are absolutely amazing. Moist, soft, flavorful melt in your mouth. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of the cream cheese frosting. Although it is very good I don’t think it goes well on every single cake as it can be over powering and on the chocolate cake I think a vanilla frosting would be better. I will be back and it was a great experience over all! I highly recommend!

Lovely little bakery, though everything is a bit too sweet and too hydrogenated. Their gingerbread house at Christmas time is marvelous, though.

Such a cute new spot!! Coffee is delicious and waffles are drool-worthy. I think pricing is fair for a new local business, and there's really nothing like it around. Plus they have options for both breakfast and lunch which is nice. I also got a custom cake from Jenny for my cousin's wedding and she did an amazing job! Talented, kind family and I will definitely be back for more
