Schlechter Service und unhöflich Führungskraft.
Scheinen nicht auf alle ihre Gäste angewiesen zu sein.

Der korpulente Chef ist extrem unfreundlich und aggressiv . Erfahrungsbericht: Ich kam neulich mit meinen beiden Töchtern (7 Jahre alt) in den Laden um ihnen ein Eis zu kaufen. Eine Tochter sagte plötzlich im Laden: " Papa, ich muß dringend pipi!". Daraufhin schaute ich mich um und sah am Ende des Ladens - über einem Durchgang - ein Schild, welches mir bisher nicht aufgefallen war: "Unser neues Café". Ich sah auch hinter dem Durchgang mehrere Stühle, Hocker und Tische. Daraufhin ging ich kurz durch den Durchgang um einen Blick in den beleuchteten hinteren Raum zu werfen; vielleicht ist ja eine Toilette im neuen Café? Ich befand mich mit meiner Tochter weniger als 2 Sekunden in dem Bereich, erkannte, dass dort keine Toilette war und wurde beim Umdrehen bereits vom Chef - man kann ihn gut an seiner Leibesfülle und einer Brille erkennen - angeschrien: "Da hinten ist privat - Sie haben da nichts zu suchen!" Ich erwiderte etwas erstaunt über den Tonfall: "Sorry, hier an der Tür steht "Neues Café" und ich wollte nur schauen, ob dort eine Toilette ist." Sein Tonfall verschärfte sich sofort sogar noch und in kurzer Reihenfolge kam: "Ich hab hier das Hausrecht!" und sogar - ich zitiere wörtlich: "verpiß Dich!!"... Ich hatte meine Tochter noch an der Hand schaute den Chef des Hauses sprachlos an und konnte diese unprovozierte extreme Aggression nicht fassen. Da ich nach seinem Empfinden seinen Laden scheinbar nicht schnell genug verlassen hatte, kam er von hinter dem Tresen zu mir rüber stellte sich bedrohlich vor mich hin und schubste mich nach hinten, indem er mit einer schnellen Hüftbewegung seinen Bauch ruckartig nach vorne zu mir "schleuderte". Ich hatte meine Tochter noch an der Hand und meine zweite Tochter stand noch vor dem Tresen um ein Eis zu kaufen. Beide schauten mich ganz verängstigt an. Wir verließen unter Protest und fassungslos den Laden - alles dauerte weniger als 10 bis 15 Sekunden. Diesen Laden werden wir nie wieder betreten. Ich kann alle potentiellen Kunden nur vor dem extrem unfreundlichen und aggressiven Chef warnen.

Milchkaffee und Orangenhörnchen waren sehr gut. Preise allgemeines Münchner Niveau.

Quaint corner cafe with very good bread and other brunch options.
You won't find any omelets however. The only egg I could get was hard boiled 😭.
The bread I got for my Frühstück was spectacular! There were more nuts in that roll than bread... Fantastic 😍
This place can get rather busy, so if you want to eat here with a group its a good idea to make a reservation.
Btw this place is all self service.

Absoluter Geheimtipp!
Kleine Bäckerei mit vielen leckeren Teilchen! Alles noch selbst gebacken. Dies findet man leider fast nicht mehr. Super leckere Kuchen und vorallem die Alpha- Brezel ist mega! Zusätzlich freundlich. Ich gehe werde wieder kommen 😊

Öffnungszeiten angeblich 6:30 bis 19:00 Uhr. Um 14:30 wird man schon abgewiesen ohne Begründung.
Ich verstehe die Personalnot im Servicebereich, aber dann muss man eben die Öffnungszeiten anpassen. Die Bedienung kann auch nichts dafür, dass sie nach neun Stunden Schluss machen muss.

Eine Bäckerei, die im Viertel noch selbst backt, ist heute eine absolute Seltenheit. Der Service ist immer sehr freundlich, die Qualität sehr gut und das Eis im Sommer erstklassig!

Man kann hier sehr gut frühstücken. Große und leckere Portionen

A good place for a brunch on Sunday with various options. The food was tasty but a bit expensive therefore just 4 stars.

Von außen klein und unscheinbar, doch wenn man einmal drin ist wird man sehr nett beraten. Neue Ideen werden hier in die Tat umgesetzt. Bei den Belegten Semmeln, sowie seinen eigen kreierten Alpha Brezn hat man auch eine gute Beilage, es ist nie nur eine Scheibe Salami drauf ein wenig Butter und fertig wie mein es von Yormas kennt. Nein, hier bekommt man noch was für sein Geld 👍😊 ich bin sehr froh diesen tollen Laden kennen gelernt zu haben und kann ihn nur weiter empfehlen. Lg

The food here is really delicious and the bread fantastic.
Unfortunately the service is very bad, the people serving are stressed out and unfriendly. No patience if you ask for something not directly included in the menu (like bread and marmalade). The marmalade is served in a plastic container, which is not exactly an ecological choice (even if the plastic is recycled).
It’s not the first time we come here and it’s a pity they cannot find a way to help the staff reducing the working hours and being more friendly.

1. Reservierung wurde vergessen, hat trotzdem zufällig geklappt.
2. Qualitativ unterdurchschnittlich (Pancakes eiskalt, Speisereste im Geschirr, Spiegeleier ungewürzt und lauwarm)
3. Hochpreisig und entsprechend schlechte Preisleistung
4.Milchalternativen auf der Karte aber dauerhaft nicht in der Filiale verfügbar!
5. Männliche Servicekraft mit kurzen schwarzen Haaren unfreundlich und patzig bei über 200€ Umsatz.
(„Kartenzahlung wäre nur für den gesamten Betrag des Tisches möglich“ „Milchalternativen gibt es nicht! Das habe ich doch gerade schon mal gesagt!“ ) Zusatz: Der Ton macht die Musik, haben 9 Personen so wahrgenommen.
6. Fillialleitung nahm Kritik an, kam aber nicht auf die Idee ggf eine kleine Entschädigung wie z.B eine Tüte Croissants oder so anzubieten. Im Gegenteil, Sie verredete die Kritik und gab alles und jenem aber nicht ihr die Schuld. Insbesondere der Ebene über ihr. Man könne nichts für Karte und Kaffeemaschine (Milch). Sie würde mit dem Personal sprechen und man solle bloß keine Bewertung hier abgeben. Sie war freundlich, aber keine professionelle Führungskraft in der Gastronomie.

Klare Empfehlung hier Personal auszutauschen.

Meine Empfehlung: den Tisch im kleinen Raum mit den Lebensmitteln hinten. Einen Tee, ein Zimt-Brioche oder die Petit Fours. Schöner Laden.

Awesome little cafe - stopped by for some coffee and pastries during the day. Lots of small things to chose from, definitely recommend for some fresh pastries, and splendid coffee.

Hier ist alles mit Liebe und absolutem Können gemacht! Von den grandiosen, belegten Broten (Avocado, leicht scharf: zum Niederknien!) bis, natürlich, zu den fantastischen süßen Leckereien! Jede einzelne war wunderbar geschmacksintensiv, nicht zu süß. Von fruchtig bis salzkaramellig: ein Traum! Wir haben alles mitgenommen, man kann aber auch wunderbar vor Ort sitzen. Ein absolutes Muss!!!

Sehr nettes Ambiente, wenngleich wenig Plätze. Hervorragende Tartes. Super Service. Was will man mehr.

Solid tea selection, a few vegan options on the menu, and a bustling overburdened team during the rush hour of Sunday’s brunch. Nevertheless, the kitchen crew is delightful, proficient, and attentive if you can afford long waiting time. The coffee is average as in other Backspielhaus locations. For better croissants rather go to the bakery across the street. If you waited more than one hour to order every little thing, expect waiting for ages for your invoice. Entrance not adapted for wheels, lavatories available in the basement.

Eher nicht zu empfehlen. Der bestellte Tee kam in einem zu großmaschigen Sieb, so dass viele Rückstände im fertigen Getränk waren. Die zum Tee mitbestellte Milch kam in einem dreckigen Krug - wie schon einer meiner Vorredner beschrieben hat. Der Käsekuchen hatte eher die Konsistenz eines Stück Butters. Ich habe die Hälfte zurückgehen lassen weil ungenießbar. Das Croissant war gut.
Die Toilettensituation ist eher schwierig. Unisex-Toilette - eigentlich kein Thema. Als ich den engen Vorraum betrete, sind 2 Damen da, die eine schminkt sich, die andere steht mit runtergelassener Hose in der Tür der Toilette. Danach dauerte es über 10 Minuten bis die Damen sich fertig hergerichtet haben und ich endlich selbst auf die Toilette gehen konnte. Dann doch lieber keine Unisex-Toilette.
Das Pissoir ist zu allen Überfluss beim spülen dann übergelaufen und war nicht zu stoppen.

Guter Frühstücksspot. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl und das Brot ist lecker und frisch.
Der Service ist gut und freundlich.
Manche Gerichte brauchen vielleicht noch etwas mehr Pepp, oder einfach Salz und Gewürze.

I had found this bakery a couple days before our scheduled travel to München. Based of the reviews and rating my wife and I decided to stop by because we really missed the French Bakeries. It was really rainy the day we went and upon arriving the Pastries and deserts looked really tasty. It was also full inside. That is why I will say 3 star all around. They did accommodate us but when other people left for a table to free up it was just offered to the newest customer. My wife wanted to sit down and enjoy the experience.

Secondly for the price vs quality the flavor just seemed off for the amount that we had paid. It wasn’t the worst Bakery we have been to but didn’t feel like the price met the quality. When pastries are delicious we really don’t mind the money spent. With this one we really second guessed if it was money well spent. The workers were kind and we appreciated accommodating us on their sink to stay out of the cold so thank you for that.

It's hard to describe the quirkiness of this coffee shop—everything is covered with Smarties and chocolates, in a good way though!

They offer Costa coffee, which makes me miss London so much.

We enjoyed our numerous visits to this place while visiting Munich. The food was delicious and Luisa was a delight. We kept coming back.

Delicious bread and coffee! Breakfast tower was great, good balance between sweet and savory.

Tolles kleines Café mit unglaublich leckeren Kuchen Spezialität. Super freundlicher Service. Gerne wieder.

The Sachertorte is different from the typical original one of Sacher café of Vienna and Salzburg. Good idea however of having the chocolate frosting all around even on the bottom side and less sweet. But I did not like the taste and the inside structure is too compact. The sachertorte is different from the original one of Austria but thanks to the orginal 6 sides frosting and the to go packaging one of the best choices for to go for guests at home.

It is a bakery/pastry without seating area neither inside nor outside (photos available are outdated). No coffee.

I describe the atmosphere as cozy and intimate. It gives you the impression of drinking at a professional café/ bakery with fresh, diverse, delicious sweet and savoury breads.

I've tried many croissants in Munich, but this café undoubtedly has the best one. It's incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming too. Highly recommended.

Small take-away with tables inside and out side. Lebanese vegetarian and non-vegetarian, mixed platters. Nice atmosphere

Sehr nettes kleines Café am Sankt Anna Platz mit hervorragendem Frühstück. Sehr freundlicher Service. Feine Patisserie. Preislich eher gehoben, aber sein Geld wert.
Verbesserungsvorschlag: der Obstsalat in der Vitrine sollte mit einem Deckel abgedeckt werden. Heute tummelten sich darin unappetitlich viele Fruchtfliegen.

Wenn wir in München sind, kehren wir dort ein. Frühstück einfach genial. Parken geht direkt am Backspielhaus

I purchased a Brezel, it was overcooked and in addition I found a small stone inside.
I was lucky that I didn't break a tooth.
Never more.

Excellent bread, the confiture and the cookies are exquisite! Well worth a visit even though we cone from far away.

Lebanese nostalgia hits strongly there; the oven's smell, the ambiance and decoration, and most importantly the taste. Yummy "Man2oushe", big enough to share, It's a good standard for a place outside of Lebanon. "Bonjus l haram" is a great addition, made a difference!!

The service was nice and the people were friendly, however it was not very authentic Lebanese. I would maybe only recommend the zaatar and the cheese only. Overall, the food made me nauseous..

Super delicious and authentic Lebanese dishes, served in a cute an warm side room. I recommend the Manoush with Zataar. To start with we shared eight appetizers, which all tasted unique and were very well seasoned. (warning: the food is addicting)

I wanna highlight the hospitality and friendliness of the waiters/ chefs.

This is actual Lebanese food that is eaten in Lebanon! Tastes just like in Lebanon; I tried the Zaatar Manouche with vegetables. I only wish for bigger portions. I am definitely going back more frequently.

Having lived in an Arab country most of my life, I was really looking forward a good zaater with cheese and they served exactly that. Great manouche, good ingredients and downright delicious. I found the vegetable toppings unusual because that's not how zaater is uusally served, however since its just a topping the staff agreed to not add any toppings on request. Lahm b ajjin was on point as well. The place itself is also quite nice, light industrial decor with a little feel of the Lebanese culture. The prices are quite steep I feel so there is definitely room for improvement. All in all a great place for a quick eat.

A lovely bakery in Haidhausen with a wide assortment of breads, cakes and ice cream. It's also a great option for breakfast as they also serve eggs, salad etc with a fairly large and relaxed seating space. For a sunny day, they have outdoor seating overlooking Bordeauxplatz!
The coffee was really good (highly recommended!). The service is warm and friendly (unlike what you otherwise get in Munich).

Nettes kleines Kaffee mit guter Auswahl und sehr netten Verkäuferin. Preis Leistung ist typisch für München. Alles was ich gegessen habe war lecker und die Kuchen nicht zu süß. Alles auch sehr schön angerichtet und auf schönen Tellern serviert.

Preiswerte Alternative zum Viktualienmarkt, klein und fein. Freundliche Dame, Kaffee schmeckt und die Stulle mit Käse auch.
Man kann nur was schönes sagen.

Great Lebanese food, served in a small yet very cozy restaurant. The team working here is so nice, and kindly took time to explain the restaurants concept and menu. So many flavourful veggie options with a great presentation, it’s worth a visit!

Came here yesterday. I had a cappuccino and one of the traditional cakes they are producing in the shop. There is a lot of variety of breads and cakes, the staff is kind and the food is good. Reccomended for an informal afternoon or morning with friends.

I went in and just got a few small rolls and a baguette. All the bread quality was extremely high. I would come back again for the bread. I am not sure about the cafe, but looked good enough and the other reviews about waiting a while looked to be true.

I went looking for the best croissant in Munich and I definitely found it at Dompierre, not to mention a really really good cappuccino! I would definitely recommend a visit, but make sure you go hungry and with enough time to spare, because believe me you'll want it. Bon appétit!

A simple no. Don't be fooled by the charming French decoration. It is a trap. Price is over the top for bread, baguette and what they offer in general. Look at the pain au chocolat, it looks like a mutant and is having a sad life there.
Edit 7th Sep: Merci Dompierre for taking the time to respond and explain, this is much appreciated. I am adding a star now as I really appreciate your effort to write back. At the end it is just a matter of taste which is individual. I have found places in Munich where I like the pain au chocolat.

I tried eclair for the first time in my life from this place and oh boy, it tastes heavenly good. I will definitely visit this bakery and its branches more often. This time the Pain au Chocolat was little bit dry but it was acceptable

Die Lage am Wiener Platz ist traumhaft und so charmant, dass auch etwas über die lediglich mittelmäßige Qualität hinwegsehen kann. Das meine ich jetzt gar nicht böse, aber man kann hier sicherlich noch etwas mehr rausholen.

They have selected things that are quite good (croissants and buns) and some that are not (cakes and brioches). Bakery is run by husband and wife team. However, I definitely will not be going there anymore after I tried to ask for a certain type of bread and the wife just pointed to the little signs and asked me if I can read? Pretty terrible customer service...

Local Bakery with local experience! Very high quality bread, pleasant local breakfasts, and huge local cakes with quality ingredients.
All delicious & recently as they moved the actual baking place somewhere else the space available for guest tables tripled!

Coffee is ok, not bad (they get it from a local roaster) but not extra ordinary either. Concentrate on the baked goodies ;)

Fantastic bakery, the cake here are superb. Soft and light pastry. I recommend the delicious cherry one (the nut one was incredible too). Really fresh and nice and clearly popular with the locals. We're definitely going back.

I tried spelt and rye. Very moist and the texture kept several days even after a flight abroad. Thumbs up from a sourdough baker.

Amazing pastries and coffee. Hands down the best French pastry shop in Munich. They have a few tables and a seating corner to hang out. Unfortunately they do not have a public washroom!

The shop is beautiful and always smells amazing. Unfortunately the baked goods are not as good as the appearance would suggest. Baguette is dense and heavy, no flaky crust, it definitely doesn't taste like real French bread. Cakes and sweets are also very dense, there is nothing of the light and airy texture of real French patisserie. I bought some gateau au chocolat which was so heavy I almost couldn't finish a single slice, it was like eating straight melted chocolate.
Too bad because the place has so much potential. It's just too expensive for the product they deliver. There are much better French bakeries in Munich, like Lehmanns in Untergiesing.
