Great coffee with average food. First of all I want to mention that at this place we tasted one of the best coffees in Crete. Flat white and iced latte were perfect. Unfortunatelly the food was just acerage despite good coffee, interior and atmosphere suggested otherwise. We ordered Salty pancakes and one Sweet pancakes. The Salt pancakes are made out of pancakes with not bad cheese sause, egg on top and slices of ham between pancakes. The problem is that ham which is basically grocery store quality (you can see in photos) so overall the whole dish doesnt taste as good as it should because cheap ham ruins it. Then the sweet pancakes it was just pancakes filled with three color nutella nad few berries on top. The problem is that there were three types of melted chocolate, milk, white and strawberry, also strawberry chockolate was between pancakes. It was way too much of chocolate and there were not enough berries on top. It would be so much better to reduce quantity of chocolate and increase quantity of berries aswell as I believe there was cranberry sirup that gave a bit of sourness to contrast with sweetness of the chocolate but there was very little of that sirup (btw those pancakes didnt look pleasant either) overall I can recommend this place for the coffee, but keep in mind of average food at least from brunch section

Really good coffee here, highest quality, very cute staff & nice interior…. It's definitely worth stopping by for good drinks in the evening too, the Paloma was so good I had! Keep it up guys - Efharisto ✌🏼

This is the perfect breakfast spot in Iraklio. The coffee is refreshingly great for the standards here, the staff is very kind and the food fantastic.

Nice place. It is easy food and a helpful staff. But very loud music, makes it hard to have a conversation while eating or waiting for food. Almost have to scream. Like when tou are partying.

Just a nice cafe with good shisha and good (fast) food. No authentic greek food, but a overall a great place to end the day. Nice drinks, good shisha and it's open untill there are no customers anymore.

Newscafe is a really nice place in the heraklion market.
The hamburger was good.
The spaghetti was with a little extra oil than usual but is was good as well.

We came to News Cafe in the evening for Shisha and drinks. The waitress there was really lovely and made some great wine recommendations.

So I'm only giving my review to the bar staff since my husband and I went straight to the bar seating since he tends to think we get seating faster there. In this case we did and I only think it was because we were out early, which means 8pm. I was on a hunt for a specific drink that is made with Mastika, which I have previously visited other places showcasing a "mixologist". I ordered a Bar Spoon, I swear after a hot day sweating from hiking or even shopping and carrying those bags. You are going to love this drink, it was perfection. Plus like the signature drink name, it comes with a frozen delicious spoon of vanilla🥰🙄🤤. Oh, if anyone was wondering what my husband ordered, he got an Alpa beer(it was good) 😁. Music, atmosphere, staff were great and attentive. 💋

Great cafe and bar in Heraklion. It's near the lion square at the heart of Heraklion. I love their freddo cappuccino. And the whiskey sour I tried was amazing. I always visit this place each time I'm in Heraklion. I highly recommend it if you're in Heraklion too. Prices are great too.
