Top Brunch restaurants in Heraklion, Greece

I put a post on Facebook asking best bar in Heraklion Crete Greece and someone suggested THE FIFTY - so we went! Wow we were not disappointed. Top notch service wine and food! Do yourself a favour - go there! Efkaristo! Parla Kala.

Nice food and big portions! Huge dessert offered at the end and very nice staff! The music is a bit loud and exclusively Greek music. The Cretan carbonara was too heavy/oily and would have been better to use Cretan pasta instead of Linguine. Overall, a good restaurant!

Enjoyable meal, good quality and quick service. Went for an early dinner at a quiet time of day and food was prepared quickly and tasted great!

What's a local gem. Coming coming to this restaurant / bar for years. The food is amazing, the drinks are excellent and the customer service and "Φιλότιμο" is off the chart. If you make it there during the day ask for Spiro and tell him the Cretan "FOUR FINGER FIREWORKS" American Manoli send you.

The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are perfect. The Greek omelette was massive and could easily serve two people and they provide free water. Great atmosphere

We enjoyed our meal here. Souvlaki was nice, tasting slightly different than in other places.

Great little cosy place with a great environment, the DJ was superb and the service at the top, good served drinks.

The Fifty is a lovely spot for some delicious eats.

The food was phenomenal. In particular, the risotto had a perfect texture, was well seasoned, and came out piping hot and fresh. The panna cotta provided a brilliant compliment with a cool, satisfying sweetness.

The space itself is just the right vibe. Weather providing, the outdoor seating is probably the best, but the interior is bright and inviting as well.

The staff were cheerful and very helpful as well. The service was quick and polite without being overbearing. Also, most of the serving staff seem to speak both Greek and at least some English.

This is a great locale for a weekend or weeknight dinner.

Very hipster vibe, great coffee and friendly staff. We have eaten here twice now and really enjoy the coffee and brunch. They make the eggs perfectly. Giorgos (George) was also so friendly and helpful. He even helped teach us some Greek. Definitely recommend.

The restaurant is nice, the food was good but the portions are a bit small. BUT... it was the first time we didn't tip in a restaurant. we asked the ponytailed waitress several times if we could sit outside if something became available. She agreed, but gave a seat to all guests who also wanted to sit outside and came AFTER us. She hardly noticed us. I would like to point out that we were seated at the entrance, so she could have not missed us.

The service took ages. I managed to finish my dish while my partner didn't even receive hers. Took 40 minutes to make eggs benedict. The food was nice, but the amount of time we had to spend was too long.

We’ve been to Plastelina five days in a row. Usually for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The food what was served during the morning and noon was fantastic. So was the Service - it was an amazing experience and definitely one of the top spots in Heraklion.
So good the food and service was in the noon, so bad was it in the evening - first we wondered how could people not give five stars to this place, but after making the mistake and coming here in the evening for cocktails and food, we understood why there are mixed experiences.
The food tastes worse in the evening (different cook), the staff is inexperienced and doesn’t seem to care a lot about customers. We had actually a quite negative experience, sadly it was our last visit in our “final evening”.
The cocktails were probably the worst cocktails we’ve ever drunk - the food was without love and passion (no comparison to the food in the morning!)
Everything was very slow, unpersonal, unfriendly…
Still: five days in a row visiting this place and having the greatest breakfast and lunch was an absolutely fantastic experience. So I’d love to address the owner: please take a closer look on your staff/personnel - I think this could be a huge factor in bettering your quality.

TL;DR: awesome spot in the morning/noon for lunch and breakfast, but quite a bad spot for cocktails and dinner. We will definitely come back when we will visit Heraklion again but we will check out who’s the cook and who’s mixing drinks :)

Hands down best coffee shop in town. If you're looking for something more international then this place will sort you out nicely. Laptop friendly. Good range of vegetarian and vegan options too and the desserts were super good.

A modern, yet very welcoming all-day spot. One of your best choices for brunch in the city. Nice outdoors ambience, opposite the city cathedral. Pick a table preferably under the giant ficus. Simple dishes with very good ingredients. Try the "strapatsada" (scrambled eggs) with mizithra cheese and sour bread. Friendly and swift service, reasonable prices.

Every time I visit I do have the same perfect experience. Whether it is for a wee coffee, brunch or late night drink plastelina is the perfect spot catering every need.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing. I went right when they opened on a Sunday and it was just me and one other person here. I had the eggs on pancake and it was fantastic, savory and delicious. I really recommend it!

Food was good. Burger a little bland. Overall nice little spot to go to!! If u find parking and the place being kinda tucked away. We had truffle burger and chicken wrap, choc pancakes, Margherita pizza.

Easily the best brunch/coffee spot in here. Waiters are super nice, especially the man. Food is really nice, highly recommend it !
Brunch is until 2pm so come before if you want to enjoy the pancakes.

The cold brew coffee was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Our hotel gave us a discount voucher which was appreciated. Sit inside to avoid the smokers.

We came to eat some nice breakfast .
They have great coffee , and we had a plate of greek breakfast . It was so good that we skipped lunch and dinner . It is near the agios titus. Thank you for great service.

Amazing brunch in this coffee shop right next to the church. The service, the food and the vibe are immaculate. Everything was great from start to finish! I will definitely come back to try more things on the menu

We had to stay over night in Heraklion, because our flight was cancelled. That gave us the opportunity to have breakfast the next morning at Crop. First of all the staff was very upbeat and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious. You can sit outside close to a little garden. The pancakes were my favourite and the porridge is fantastic as well. Thanks for a relaxed morning. <3

Beautiful place. 22g Cappuccino is a must. The best coffee we had in Greece and beyond. Breakfast was so delicious. Highly recommended to spend some peaceful and enjoyable time.

Charming cafe in a calm area and relaxed environment. The staff is friendly and the food delicious! We enjoyed their cold brew coffee and brunch. If you want to get away from the busy tourist sites, this is a spot to be.

I like the way how they serve coffee with a cute bottle + notes about their coffee bean. The best coffee we had in Greece. highly recommend you to try Ethiopia coffee. i also buy a package of coffee beans after testing. the service is sweet too!!!

Lovely atmosphere with fast service. I ordered a lemon pie flavored pancake and it was exquisite. Great flavor and the size was pretty big, price-wise I found it very affordable for what they were offering.
Overall if you like pancakes I would totally recommend this place, it's a must.

We waited for 1 hour and a half for 3 pancakes. The rest of the pancakes are still NOT here
