Former bank, quirky but welcoming decor. Called in for a drink mid afternoon whilst on vacation. Ordered at the bar, 1 x coffee, 1 x milkshake. Unfortunately my partner had finished the coffee before my milkshake had even arrived. Would visit again, if only to see if food service is better, daredevils that we are 😆

Ordering a nightmare. You have to either use the app which is ignored or order at the bar. I was happy to spend £100 between me, my wife and a 12yr old to get basic tapas evening meal. The app is horrendous and simply gets ignored. Your other option is to order at the bar. Either isn’t acceptable when paying this kind on money for decent food. Waitress service required. Our drinks completely ignored. As did our deserts.. if we didn’t go to the bar 40mins after desert order, they wouldn’t have had a clue. Shame, as food was great. Just get some table service and would be superb.
Who wants to go to a decent food place and sit on your phone to order food?? Especially when it gets ignored.

we first visited Mocha in Richmond a few years ago when on a short break. Initially for lunch but loved the display of hand made chocs. We bought a box for our ‘cat sitting’ neighbour as a thank you. She loved them. It’s her birthday today and we thought let’s see if Mocha is still making the chocs. They are so we ordered a box by post ( beautifully packed and presented by Ness ). Our neighbour was overjoyed to receive them and the look on her face suggested that they are not for sharing.
Thank you Mocha for making a product that is so good it stays in the memory a long time but not so long in the box.

Very good stop in Richmond for anyone passing through. Well set out and great menu selection. Got the Chicken Ciabatta which was really good but disappointed it didn't come with anything else considering it came in for under £11.
Easy yo order and laid back place with friendly service.

Found this place online last night when looking for somewhere for breakfast on Sunday morning. Lots of parking outside with no restrictions on a Sunday. Large disabled bays right outside the door. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Our food arrived very quickly and looked and tasted lovely. Vast choice of foods and they cater for gluten free and vegans. Help yourself to fresh chilled water on the bar. Dog friendly with dog biscuits on the bar.
Ramp out front and wide doorway ideal for anyone in a wheelchair or scooter.

Stopped in for lunch had a ham and cheese panini and took away a slice of cookie and cream cake, it was all delicious and the staff were cheerful and friendly, plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch and everything was very tasty.

I just called in for a coffee after a quick visit to the Green Howard's museum at Richmond, more or less next door. The young lady who served me was very pleasant and brought my drink to my chosen table. I also purchased a couple of pots of jam later. Great service thanks, the coffee was good, as well, including the chocolate truffle!

Lovely place to shop and eat. Always pop in en route to the Lake District. Beautiful displays of seasonal goodies, for Easter at the moment (picture) The steak pies and quiche are some of my favourites. Upstairs the shopping continues, very good quality and wide range of goods. The café is spacious and bright, good food and service. I really like the fruit meringue 😁

A beautiful vintage-restored place, Includes a cinema, a large café, an open art gallery, independent art and gift shops, a very good (and expensive) bakery and a chocolate shop. There is a book corner and a few comfy chairs righr nextcto it and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. Also, there are public toilets, a lot of parking and a famous ice cream shop. It's within a short walking distance to the town centre, so it's a good parking option (£3 for 4 hours!) on a visit to Richmond. You can take a walking trail some of them start here), enjoy the beautiful scenery of the river Swale, climb up to the town centre (300 meters away), have lunch and then climb down to the carpark, buy a beautiful piece of arr/craft made by a local artist (very reasonable prices) and return home. A perfect day!

Quiet when we arrived at about 3.40pm. We were shown to our table. We just wanted tea, coffee and scone and tray bake. All very nice. Lovely historic location. Nice gallery of artwork. Cinema in same building. Swimming pool adjacent and lovely walks. Maximum stay in car park is 4 hours, recent price increase. Internal photo and some of Easby Abbey which is a walk away.

Whilst I agree with preserving local buildings for future generations. I don't agree with over charging. We had a couple of bits of cake and drinks and it came to almost £30. Basically the same price as other local businesses that aren't charities, so not sure why the prices in the bar / restaurant ast so high. It's completely excluding people and simply catering for a lot of holiday home owners who visit the area.

Whilst the service was excellent and the cakes were nice. I think the pricing really needs to be addressed, there is not even discount for permanent local residents.

Really disappointed with the unprofessional behaviour of the staff. Having travelled extensively and teach personal development, I’ve never come across a cafe with such miserable staff who speak to me as though I’m a stranger each time I come in.

It’s deeply unpleasant.

It’s a shame as the Station is a beautiful place to visit and dine at.

If the staff are that unhappy, they should leave and not make it an unpleasant experience for those who are visiting.

One manager particular today was incredibly rude to me. She left me waiting and forgot to serve me a week ago with every other member of staff passing me by without even so much as a hello. I decided to leave in the end.

I never received an apology the next time I visited (today), instead she was incredibly rude to me. As a woman in my 50’s, I won’t tolerate this disrespect and won’t be visiting again. The place is beautiful, the staff in the restaurant are mostly unpleasant. Not one smile ever..apart from this particular manager very childishly jumping up and down at the counter in delight as she shared with the other member of staff about my upset.. Spiteful woman. Time for change.

I was so impressed by the vegan options available here. They had vegan smoked salmon, vegan scrambled eggs and vegan cream cheese as well as lots of other vegan options. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back!
Excellent place to spend a few hours. Ample parking, including disabled parking. Huge farm shop downstairs, huge clothing, and gift shop upstairs. Very reasonably priced well organised cafe with 2 seating areas. Clean toilets. All staff are pleasant and helpful. Dog walking area, children's play area, farm animals for viewing. The shops are expensive but this is a fantastic place if you wish to shop for a special occasion. All in all, it's a fantastic place to be.

Had a few drinks here for the very first time on our visit to Richmond. Had been lovingly transformed into a lovely restaurant from the old HSBC bank. Very quirky. Also dog friendly too.

First time eating at the station bistro and would definitely return and highly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed. Shelly served us tonight and was lovely, friendly helpful and professional. Real chunky chips were amazing!! We had pizza a side, glass of wine & coffees. I look forward to returning soon.
Lovely little cafe! Friendly, welcoming and a lot of choice. Coffee was lovely with a choice of milks, toppings and syrups. Tons of options for food including vegan. If you want to give money to an independent this place is the place to go! Oh and with the coffee you get a matchmaker chocolate- unique and a blast from the past.

Beautiful looking building inside & out, very warm & welcoming. I joke you not, probably the nicest cooked breakfast I have ever had!! Highly recommend.
Didn't expect to see camels grazing in a North Yorkshire field on our way back from a holiday! We stopped here and had a really pleasant two hours looking at the farm animals and browsing around the shop. It's a proper working farm, and I saw sheep, pigs, goats, donkeys and llamas as well as the three camels. Much of the food in the farm shop is sourced from the farm or locally. There was a big butcher's counter full of choice cuts of meat, a great selection of cheeses and deli foods, fruit and veg, pasta, baked goods and more. It all looked high quality produce and very fresh. There were a lot of visitors, very long queue for the café so I did not eat there, but bought a freshly made sandwich, pork pie and quiche in the farm shop to take home. They cost that bit extra, but they were all delicious and excellent quality. Good selection of gifts, toys and chocolate treats too. Some great stuff for Halloween! Upstairs, there's some lovely clothing, accessories, homewares and Christmas decorations. Staff were courteous and helpful. There's a lift and accessible downstairs toilets. Plenty to keep kids happy, not only seeing the animals up close but also an outdoor play area and a Halloween pumpkin patch, and there was also a walking trail across fields with gorgeous views. More than enough to fill our two hours! I highly recommend a visit.
Outstanding. Great for kids and big kids.
Shop is well stocked, great that the staff know their products. Kids loved the animals, especially the camels and emus. Just sorry we didn't get chance to try out the cafe, boys were impatient and today was extremely busy, will be back and try the cafe as meals looked scrumptious.

My favourite stop! Great animals and farm shop, good facilities too! The lady who made our coffee and served us take away was so lovely, the couple in front of us in the queue needed to learn some manners, remember to be nice to staff! Great cupcakes too!!

There are so many good food options here. A very nice cafe, a bakery, and an ice cream shop!

The cafe is open for lunch and dinner (not sure about breakfast). Their food is very good and they have great service.

There are free public toilets inside that are very well maintained.

The ice cream shop and bakery also make very high quality desserts!

Oh and it’s also a cinema!

Such a great place for vegans! Had an amazing scone, very different to the Cornish style as it came toasted! Coffee was lovely, had a Mocha…they’re not too sweet, so perfect. Prices are good, staff and customers super friendly. Highly recommend.
🌟4.5 Big for a farm shop, plenty choice of products and produce, friendly staaf as well, I had breakfast that was well cooked and presented, the coffee will get a strong 🌟3.95 but.
The location is good as well as the shop is not far off the motorway.
All in all pleasant experience.👍
A great farm shop, with a difference. The farm shop has some great produce, and much bigger than a standard farm shop.
It’s easy to find straight off the A66, access out is a little tricky when your turning right, patience is required.
Mainsgill farm has some sort of mini Zoo, to keep the kids and dads entertained while the mums are shopping.
It’s a brilliant place to see different animals, I’d certainly love to see them extend this bit.
The shop and cafe offer a decent range, both local and from elsewhere. There’s much to see, and buy.

Jane Ellis drawings there today were brilliant on mezzanine gallery (Artist from Reeth). Check out her work! We show there next year as The Art Crowd, Northallerton! Excited. Wonderful bakery, Goosewings jewellery is a lovely side studio, ice cream parlour, brewery, and lovely cinema! Not forgetting cafe and also gallery shop! There is a beautiful woodland walk too. A bit soggy today though

Lovely new addition to the Richmond dining scene. Delicious food with a good selection of vegetarian & vegan dishes and a good selection of wine. Service was speedy and exceptionally friendly both times we were there. Sitting out in the back garden on a sunny afternoon eating tapas and drinking wine - heaven.

Ordered a chocolate birthday cake, before coming up to Richmond for a holiday, for my husband's birthday
The cake was delicious, not too sweet and stayed nice and moist.
Also bought some chocolates to take back for presents, and a box for myself. They are gorgeous, esp the marmite and peanut butter and the turkish delight.
I am a die hard Hotel Chocolat fan, but Mocha's chocolates certainly give them a run for their money. I will be ordering more online.

My fiancé and I come in whenever we pass, and i would definitely recommend. The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly; everything’s reasonably priced and they even offer a loyalty system for a free boba drink. Could not recommend more 👍

We found this lovely little coffee shop in Richmond on a recent visit there. The range and quality of the vegan option was amazing, and the vegan cakes were especially delicious. We liked it so much we came back the next day to try more of their food. We tried the vegan sausage rolls, the Mediterranean vegetable wrap, the blueberry Bakewell tart, the chocolate cake and the caramel shortcake. I particularly recommend the caramel shortcake, which is one of those things it's hard to find a good vegan version of. The service was also very friendly and the staff were happy to chat, and it had a nice cosy atmosphere. If we're in the area again we will definitely come back.

Converted old HSBC bank located in the Market Square.
Great service and excellent food in nice surroundings. Can't fault it. I had the Lounge Breakfast and the wife had a Chicken Shawarma Flatbread. Daughter had a bacon breakfast muffin.
On another visit I opted for the Beef Brisket Chili with spicy rice.

Went into the station for lunch, 1st time going in to eat but pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and food. We ordered egg/mayo sandwich, and expected it to come on small plate but it came with side salad and crisps ,our coffee was a treat far better than any other coffee shops. Went for a walk along side river swale underneath the canopy of trees

Attentive, friendly and helpful staff serving delicious drinks. I had hot chocolate - I've never been asked whether I wanted "white, milk, dark or extra dark?" before! I had the milk and it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Wow. Served with one of their handmade chocolates that you can also buy separately. Delicious! I'll be back.

Honestly the best hot chocolate and mocha we've tasted anywhere in the country - and we've tried a few. Great, attentive staff who really care about the food and drink they serve. We didn't eat, but there was a tasty looking range of cakes, a very large selection of chocolates, and ice cream too. A family run business that deserves a special visit if you're in the area.

Wow, walked in for two coffees and couldn't resist buying some off their extraordinarily fabulous chocolates. Superbly displayed the chocs were impossible to resist apparently. If I lived in Richmond this would be a weekly treat, no question.

The Americano's were excellent, with skimmed milk and made with a smile. Particularly liked that they supply a menu sheet which allowed us to identify the various chocs I bought. Such an array it's easy to keep adding just one more.
