Beautiful ambience.. Service was too good and quick. We ordered caramel latte and cafe latte and peri peri french fries, both were really good. We even asked them for packing extra french fries which we couldn't finish there, it was packed with care.
A very cozy and comfortable cafe. It's perfect for a coffee date. They make really good coffee and shakes; the quantity is also more than enough.

It is situated in the City Centre Mall itself, therefore there is enough space for parking.
Such a good find! Affordable and good quality and beautiful ambience. Also has an option to dine outdoors. Cold brews are a must have! Thin crust pizza lovers, this is the place.

Also run for the best deal! Any 2 cold bevs + any n.veg pizza + any cheezecake costs 699! Veg alt - 599

You are visiting Kolkata the city of joy without visiting the coffee house is it possible? The atmosphere is really amazing to have a chit chat with your friends and enjoy some evening snacks. And the song is the most nostalgic one to make you visit there at least once .

I'm a Bangladeshi.. I have listened the song "coffee house er shei adda ta aj ar nei aj ar nei" but I have no idea that Indian coffee house really exists.. When i visited kolkata, one of my relatives who was with me told me about it and we went there.. I was really surprised to see the place.. Aesthetic place undoubtedly.. I had a lot of photos here.. I enjoyed the place so much & the food was so much good and tasty.. & yes budget friendly.. In one word it was mind blowing experience.. I will go there again
Good coffee and good breakfast in a very relaxed atmosphere. Very kind service and reasonable priced. My place to find some peace on busy days.

I recently visited there at night there was 2 guys in night they really serve best coffee and i appreciate that a guy who is name is sajil & aqrama his nature was so sweet and coffee totally worth it best place for chill out at night in Kolkata sector 5 there combo offer is just lit 🔥 I hope when ever I'll come to Kolkata I'll visit there
Indian Coffee House is a nostalgic heaven that beckons friends, family, and even those seeking a touch of the past. The ambiance exudes a charming, old-world charm, making it a favorite spot for both the young and old. The pocket-friendly menu adds to its allure, offering a variety of tasty items that resonate with traditional flavors. It's not just a place to eat; it's a journey through time, where conversations flow freely and memories linger. A visit to Indian Coffee House is not just about the food; it's an experience that binds generations together in the heart of delightful nostalgia.
Undoubtedly, one of the best cafe in saltlake area, inside city centre 1.
Very much calm and serene place, to have coffee alongwith your own work, or to chit-chat with your family and friends.
Staffs are so helpful and good behaving, specially a girl named Supriya, she served our food and cappuccino and helped for seating too.
Location and food wise no complaint, only con is i can say that ac seating is too less, and outside seating must need a stand fan so that people feel comfortable without AC.

I visited today to celebrate my friends birthday it was good experience and service was good place was awesome. You can go with your family , friends , many more and enjoy ..
The Cafe has a nice ambience and is aesthetically very pleasing. We ordered Cappuccino and Nutella Iced Cappuccino. Both were good enough. The Cafe was clean and wasn't overly crowded. The server (Supriya) was very polite, helpful and friendly. Overall, I would recommend a visit to this cafe.
Indian Coffee House is a historical cultural place in Kolkata city and is also well-recognized by the people of the Indian sub-continent who study history and culture. However, this place is very famous for the atmosphere of it! People could enjoy different types of snacks and platters here. But the food quality is not that much appreciable considering the food price range. However, the ambiance of this place is excellent!

I visited the cafe and ordered two coffee drinks - cappuccino and latte. Unfortunately, both drinks were overly sweetened and had a disappointing chocolate coating that was messy and spilled outside the cups. The experience was not up to par due to excessive sweetness and messy presentation.

But the atmosphere is good.
The place is pretty decent I would say, amidst the bustling neighborhood of park street, it is relatively a calm and quiet corner but I guess the cafe is not the main focus for the authority as they have a restaurant running above the floor. So the priority remains for the complete dining and not the snacks (even green tea wasn't available twice!)
The food is okish as I haven't tried much
Have been hearing about this new cafe in town and wanted to visit for quite some time. I got the chance to drop by the comparatively smaller City Centre 1 Craft Coffee branch. How ever, the decor, even it's small area, is quite pretty. The food is above average and the beverages, when selected properly are good as well. Would recommend their cold brew (they run out of it during later hours due to the demand). Their bakery section is better than the overall food section, especially their croissant and their quiche. Tried the butter croissant which is one of the finest and most delicate version I've had in a long time in any cafe in Kolkata.
Their pizza (thin crust) is also decent (we tried the chicken pepperoni), but needs to be consumed hot. However, after trying their cheesecake (also from the bakery section), I would highly recommend focusing on their bakery spread. I do plan on trying more of their fresh bakes personally.
The ambience of this branch is decent, making the most out of their small seating area. However, according to popular review, Craft Coffee's ambience is very appealing and hence, to experience that, one must visit their Ballygunge or Salt Lake FD Block Branch.
In real terms, the staff in this branch could be trained slightly better in terms of etiquette and professional conduct. While they were polite, they did randomly come and thrust their arms in front of our faces to roughly replace our cutlery, while we were in the middle of a conversation. While their attention to replace and refill the table supplements is good, but it could be done with a little more finesse and professionalism which most customers would appreciate. Other than that, the place is decent and would recommend for people visiting CC1 to drop in.
This place has a great history. Wanted to visit it from a very long time. Visited for a brunch, tried their coffee of @₹30

And tried the chicken kabiraji @110
.
.
.
Taste wise it was above average but the vive is the actually worthy. There is one non-smoking zone in the second floor(good place for those who don't want to smoke).

.
Will surely visit again to along with friends.

It's located on the busy street of the new market area, just opposite to the shreeram market. Though it has both on the ground floor and first floor sitting arrangements still it's a small joint and good for a quick bite. Half of the menu was not available on a busy day like in the afternoon and evening time, that's another drawback.
Still it's a nice, photogenic place.
Ordered two cups of coffee and chatted for more than an hour as two cups of coffee cost around 500/- rs so it was mostly not a place where anybody would go randomly.

The ambiance was great. The typical babu culture of medieval bengal is portrayed here.
The interior design is very thoughtful and innovative.
The staffs and the music is awesome.
Food was delicious. A perfect place for bengali's "ADDA" culture.

Good portion size, had fish n chips with a cola for me it's dinner, Casual ambience a good adda place for small groups.
The cold coffee options are absolutely bland and tasteless. Absolute waste of money. The foods are somehow ok though.

Staff behaviour is pathetic. I ordered chilli garlic noodles but they mistakenly brought some other item and i was compelled to pay for it although it was their fault. I agree food is good with affordable prices but staff are horrible also one of the waiters just kept staring at me in a very creepy way. Also the ambience is not that festooned and very loudy.

Barista once used to be the Starbucks of India when Starbucks were not in India. Always following the luxury of Starbucks, they were crazy expensive at that time and it’s still same.

I'm not very fond of coffee so whenever I go to a cafe I try their pasta, sandwich and shakes. I went to this New Market outlet and I must say the ambiance is quite nice and cosy.

I ordered their popular Junglee Chicken Sandwich and Mango Affair from their signature collection. The Sandwich bread was bit too toasty and seemed bit too crispy than my liking. Some leafy green vegetables-based staffing with ample chicken tasted bit odd. Some might or might not like it. But Mango Affair was amazing, fabulous drink to try.

Don't get me wrong their quality is good but it's overpriced. Whatever you order you'll feel you're paying way too much than it's worth. There are cafes give much better experience than them at lot cheaper price.

As they're expensive I took a deal from Nearbuy but they hesitate to take it at first but later they accepted it. Per person cost is around Rs.600-700.

A bit expensive but good place for coffee dates and is also an escape from the crowded market area. The service here is also impressive.
I am actually upset that I did not visit this outlet earlier. The vibe is so positive and the it's a cutely decorated coffee shop with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The coffee was realllllyyy good. The pasta was mouth watering. And the person there was really honest about his recommendation which I truly appreciated. The prices too were quite nominal. Rather, I would call it pocket friendly.
Their staff, Tanu, deserves a special mention. Absolutely polite and well behaved.
Along with the place being nice, the staff being welcoming added to our experience.
The vibe of this place is beautiful and aesthetic. Just that it is small. Tried the strawberry cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake both were supper fresh and delicious. The service is very good and staffs are helpful with ordering and serving. The look of the cafe is serene and calm. Overall loved the cafe, would visit again for coffee.
Must try mutton cutlets and special coffee! A place where you can see the intellectuals crowd. :) I guess it’s been around for quite sometime that it’s been a place where great conversations happen. The service is okayish! But definitely for the food and intellectual vibes 🙌🏾

The rich history of the place is what attracts the most customers. The ambience feels magical, the food - not so much. If you want to visit this place for food, then I'd suggest looking somewhere else. The cold coffee, hot coffee, cutlet and fish fry we ordered were below average. If you want to enjoy the ambience and have a good time with your buddies, this is the place to be.

Overall rating: 6/10
Overall verdict: Great place for ambience/hanging out due to its rich cultural history, but not for the food.

Famous Coffee House in College Street is a legendary haunt for intellectuals and literary enthusiasts. Steeped in history, it exudes an old-world charm. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air as patrons engage in lively discussions. Its walls adorned with portraits and shelves stacked with books create a unique ambiance. A visit to this iconic establishment is a must for anyone seeking intellectual stimulation and a taste of Kolkata's cultural heritage.

It's a small cafe with kinda cool ambience. About the food this cafe serves variety of pasta pizza Chinese snacks and drinks items. We had mango shake and vanilla shake both were average, fish and chips ( impressive) ,dry sezuan chicken (good), chicken wraped prone (Innovative never ate before) and sizzling Brownie with ice cream (bad) and we also tried chicken wings with sesame sids bcz of others review and everyone suggested it but it was total disaster for us . So it's a average cafe according to me.

"Uthon" is perhaps the most "Ghoroa" experience that I've had in a very long time.
On top of that, I have been blown away by the food-taste. The "chicken pakoda" was so heavenly juicy that I was almost having a foodgasm. We tried "Chicken Kebabs" next and they were equally palatable and had an exquisite smell that added to the flavour. The "fold coffee" had a very standard packaging and it tasted very uniquely different from CCD/Barista and being priced just at Rs. 50/-, it's almost a loot for you.
It also has AC and washroom, and you can smoke just outside the room, if you are looking for these details.
I would suggest "Uthon" for everyone despite it's non-hi-fi outlook because it is worth it. I can guarantee that this would become your regular hub if you visit once.
It has good ambience and staff is so friendly. I heard that this cafe is offering good combos with a reasonable price . So I went with my friends and tried combos like penne pasta and mojito. It tasted heavenly m would recommend this place.
Tried veg biryani and cheesy paneer and corn here. The service is too good. The food is awesome. The ambience is also too good.

Tried their Alfredo pasta and Oreo shake. Both of them were very average. Pasta was very mildly seasoned. And the shake was not thick at all. The food on the menu will not suit maximum Indian palates. If you love subtle flavors then go for it.

One of the good cafe at Esplanade. Good ambience, clean and well maintained. Staff were professional and well mannered. Food taste was as good as ambience. If you are in Esplanade area, you must visit this place.

Taste : 4/5
Ambience : 4/5
Hospitality : 4.5/5
The staff behaviour is so good and the service is so quick. They have 2 floors. The upper one is the restaurant and the ground floor is like a cafe. I really like the restaurant part. The ground floor's odour was bad. I told them to put some room freshner becuase the place was not smelling good. One more problem was with the cold coffee. There was no milk in it. It cost me ₹190 and there was no taste in it. The coffee was not properly mixed. I really like Cafe mochha. It was hot and good quality. Overall good but not satisfied with the cold coffee.
Though the space is not big but the food and staff was good.

It's a unique cafe in that area. Food is good, service is great. Very chill place to hangout with friends who doesn't want loud ambience. We tried Darjeeling tea, assam tea, Fish and chips, chicken sandwich, coleslaw sandwich, chicken au gratin, blueberry cheesecake, brownie with ice cream. Cheesecake and au gratin was a bit of let down. But overall its good. I'll recommend it in future. The location is bit tricky here, so let me give u a nice idea about location. It is beside of Westside, mirza ghalib street and diagonal opposite of peter hu bar & restaurant.
Me and my wife are highly satisfied with Uthon. The sandwiches were delicious, coffee was warm and tasty.. ambience was relaxing. staff was supportive. in short we enjoyed our time and food at Uthon.
Very cozy place. Has a facility to organize a small get together. The menu has lot of items being prepared by the owner herself. Customised service. Do not have any AC. But planning to install very soon. Very conveniently located.

Being in my neighborhood this is a homely place to hangout.

I have almost tried everything there but what was lovely is their welcoming notes and the home cooked meal, so last day we had my usuals fish fry combo it includes one piece fish fry along with coffee and french fries with that we ordered Bread Chicken Kobiraji I must say it is something in this price.
What else you can try the sandwiches I had them all they are lovely and a must try is cold coffee.

first time in this coffee shop, the experience was pretty bad.

first of all, very small place to hang out even there were mosquitos everywhere.

talking about foods, prices are pretty reasonable but the quality was worst. things i ordered were three milk coffee (regular), veg corn pasta, veg cheese burger, chicken steam momo.

coffee tasted very below average. then pasta was more than good. after that i tried momos they didn't justify 60 rupees price point even the included soup was very salty and tasted bad. at last, i tried the burger but it was my worst burger experience ever.

overall, a total waste of money and even the ambience aren't worth the money.

Reviving the classic dishes from Old Calcutta, TiSwa's Kitchen and Calcutta Brew Cafe brings the lost dishes in much reasonable prices.

They have:-

Classic Dudh cha
Cappuccino
Darjeeling tea to give you a good wake up in the morning.

You can start your day with a good brunch with Prawn cocktail
Deema er Devil
Mutton kabiraji
Fish nd Chips
All day breakfast..Veg Augratine
Chicken Stew
Grilled fish
Spaghetti bologenese Veg, each and every dish being genuinely good and worth the price.

If you are a sweet tooth person then the Cream of caramel
Cheesecake
Apple pie
Lemon tart, these are the best options to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Apart from extremely delectable food, cosy ambience you get a warm welcome from the owner herself.

The basic concept of their menu is that the Old calcutta food from the west which is lost, reviving them and of course in much reasonable prices on the heart of Kolkata.

Well, I've been here since the revamp and the food was great while eating inside.

I ordered takeaway, masala dosa, mixed noodles and chilli paneer yesterday.
Got home, opened everything up and it was PERFECT.

A gem of a cafe, fair prices and good food, keep it up!

Tried their South Indian food once & now I use to visit this place whenever I go Khidirpur. Though I didn't like their Pav Bhaji but no comparison to the South Indian dishes, Specially the Masala Dhosa my favourite. Dhosa lovers must try this place.
Few days back I had doped in at Barista with some of my friends. This location of Barista is located at Saltlate Sector 5 the exact address is Ground Floor, Block EP And GP, Infinity Benchmark, Sector 5, Salt Lake, Kolkata.

We ha ordered the following food and drinks:

Cappuccino
Caffe Latte
Breezy Ape Splash
Brownie Frappe
Chicken Tikka Curry Bread
Chicken Kati Roll
Wicked Brownie
.
The Cappuccino and Caffe Latte was quite good. The Chicken Tikka Curry Bread
and Chicken Kati Roll was tasty and filling. The Wicked Brownie a bit on the sweet side but it tasted good and it was a good dessert to end our meal with.
Tried some food and drinks from this outlet of Barista few days back..

Here are some of my favourites from the items I tried
• Caffe Latte

• Chicken Tikka Curry Bread (RECOMMENDED)
• Rose Faluda
• Wicked Brownie(RECOMMENDED)

●Ambience -

The only place in campus which serves fresh fruit juices and KitKat shake.
I enjoyed the coffee and the egg roll. The quality of the food is not so great; however , as a student and that also in IIM -C ,it's ok. The chat over the food is more important here.
This is a nice coffee shop and small restaurant. You can also call and place your order and then come and collect or eat there also.
This small restaurant serves good food at affordable price. During summers it becomes the lifeline for those who stay in campus.
Very nice coffee shop..with snacks and cold beverages..good menu love it ❤❤
Nice cozy place with decent food options at amazing prices.
