We had a Cold Press and A White Chocolate Mocha with breakfast sandwiches. The coffee hit the spot as did the sandwiches, the staff were cheerful and ready to please! Highly recommend

We look forward to our visits to Grand Marais with a visit first to Java Moose! Coffee, service & atmosphere are GREAT! We can see Java Moose from the deck of the Vrbo!!!
Wonderful fish and chips. Super fresh herring. Owner Kaitlyn was extremely nice and gave us recommendations on places to potentially see moose. Will definitely be back next time we visit!
We saw online that the Fisherman's daughter was most famous for its amazing fish and chips, and man was amazing an understatement! My husband and I split an order as a late lunch and both of us were blown away by the quality of not only the fish but the fries! We will definitely be stopping by again for an amazing lunch tomorrow!!
Oh my! Most delicious coffee and breakfast sandwich on the north shore. Staff incredibly friendly and when I asked them for their opinion for coffee choices, they gave it without hesitation. My “salty” was insanely good. My husband had a breakfast sandwich which he raved about. Might have to drive all the way back there tomorrow… it was that good!
Absolute must try when you are in Grand Marais, MN. They have water facing seats which are kind of beautiful. Food was really nice. Tried their soup of the day - red pepper Gouda soup. It was very tasty. Couldn't try the chowder though. I would definitely suggest shrimps and fries. Service was mentionable.
Went here twice during my stay, had a great experience both times.
Had the Nordic miel and a raspberry white chocolate scone, and a maple latte the second time. Coffee is very nice.

The food was great. Not greasy as one might expect from deep-fried foods.
Big problem though. Though they say they can accommodate a gluten free request, DON’T BELIEVE IT. Their “gluten free” fried items are fried in the same oil as their normally breaded items. Thus they are NOT gluten free.

This coffee shop is always a must when we come in to town. It is a very popular destination and attracts a lot of business. The line tends to move quickly. Lots of menu and flavor options, there is something for everyone. There is a lot of public garbage cans in the area and in front of businesses so you don’t have to worry about walking around with a cup all day until you find one.
This place was outstanding! The fried walleye, maple bacon cheese curds, and loaded fries with crab were all delicious, and you can't beat the views from the outdoor deck. They also have some grab and go options and local products for sale. I would recommend The Fisherman's Daughter to anyone visiting Grand Marais!
We were fortunate to find a table inside The Fisherman's Daughter to enjoy a late weekday lunch. The fish & chips (with white fish) were tasty. My husband had the white fish but substituted the cheese curds for $4 more and really enjoyed them. My chicken fingers & chips were okay, the chicken being a little over-cooked to my liking. A friend enjoyed her white fish tacos. The restaurant was quaint and clean, with gifts available for purchase. Would eat here again the next time I'm in the area.
Great place for some fried fish! My family especially liked it because they have a fried fish gluten free option. We will definitely be back!
Instead of Starbucks, I wish I could get my cold brew from Java Moose every morning. But unfortunately, I was only a tourist in the area. The staff are more than friendly. My cold brew was exactly how I like it every morning. We had hot Turkey breakfast sandwiches and loved it. I highly recommend the sandwich. Their chocolate chip cookies were scrumptious 😋. The cozy cottage style decor was cool. I also bought a cup from them since I found it unique.
Got a quick order of fish and chips for take out a few days ago. I chose the whitefish fresh from Lake Superior. The flavor and texture of the fried fish was very good! It was perfectly moist in the center, crispy on the outside and well seasoned! The coleslaw was pretty bland but not what I bought it for anyway so I didn’t mind. The fries were great as well! Service was friendly and prompt. Looking forward to coming back again sometime!
Was recommended to try this place out and glad I did! The BWCA lattes was fun and very tasty! I don’t normally like butterscotch but this was subtle. If I’m ever back in the area, this will be a must stop. Also close to the lake for a nice spot to drink :)
