A great little cafe if you're in Knox Shopping Centre, and after a coffee & sandwich. I'm currently sitting here at the moment early on a Saturday morning, having a creamy coffee and lovely toasted sandwich. It cost $10.90 for the two, which is about what you pay at most places for the same these days. Plenty of seating, friendly service, and tasty food. They're positioned right next to the main food court in the centre, so it's a big open area, and the only possible negative might be it could get a bit noisy. But at the moment, it's great!
Service is very poor there we wait for our food for 45 mins. Even it is not look too busy when we order and we come without eating there even after 45 mins wait.

I had a fantastic experience ordering a takeaway coffee. The quality of the coffee surpassed my expectations, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. It's refreshing to encounter such positive customer service, making this visit truly enjoyable.

I ordered an iced mocha and after taking a few sips, I realised there wasn't enough ice. I approached a slightly older gentleman at the register and requested more ice. He said: "You should have ordered iced latte as it has ice." I retorted: "So iced mocha doesn't have ice?" Conceding, he put more ice into the drink.
To this gentleman, you work in the hospitality industry, if you don't know how to be nice, what business do you have taking orders?

Our table waited over 25 minutes for sandwiches as even though we paid it wasn't registered I had to go ask where was our food it still took awhile to receive not good not even offered a complimentary drink don't think we will go there again & it wasn't lunch time

We’re locals and my wife and I go here at least a couple of times a week as we live around the corner.

Coffee taste burnt half the time, or tastes like you’re drinking just milk and they forget to add sugar sometimes too.
We went there again today to order a coffee, was disappointed before we could even order so we just walked out.
Won’t be returning or recommending this place!

Atmosphere is congenital but the noise the staff make with the dishes is absolutely atrocious. We cannot hold a decent conversation. Staff are great but totally unaware of the noise they make with the dishes. We keep going back because we enjoy the meal.
Our local cafe. We visit almost every Saturday for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Amazing, welcoming staff. Excellent coffee and hot chocolate. Speedy food even when busy. Dog friendly with water outside. Always a winner!
The food was very good, big plate, lovely presentation. I paid $72 dollars for two people to eat breakfast and asked for barbecue sauce and they would not give it to me unless I paid $2, I don’t think this is justifiable at all? why charge a customer for sauce when I paid for my food? 😠😠

Ordered pancake stack only to discover that the last pancake was raw and still gooey in the middle. Staff did not even offer an apology, just that the kitchen staff would be informed.
The food here is pricey and you would expect at least quality in return, but between the raw pancake and my partner's very overripe avocado, quality in food and in service was not what we recieved.

We ordered chicken schnitzel and chicken avocado focaccia. The schnitzel had no taste and was very dry. Unfortunately it tasted bad and a huge opportunity to improve. The chicken and avocado tasted ok. The coffee was nice and the staff members were very polite. Price wise I think it was ok.
Good Bacon and Egg on Turkish roll. Good Cappuccino. Polite, friendly, a bit rushed. I'll go back.
We liked the service here. The guy worked on the counter was really quick and gave us a great service. I tried the soup and felt like it was not so fresh. But the wrap was good.
Best caramel slice I have ever had. Service was hood too.
Staff are wonderful, the meals are of high quality as are their hot drinks.
Highly recommend a few visits.

My children were growing impatient after 20 minutes of not receiving a milkshake and display cake. After being ignored by table staff member, I asked the friendly (and helpful) staff at the front who were clearly under pressure - they had clearly forgotton the order as several tables had been served hot food, despite me being first to order. At the 35-40 minute mark, my children were beyond repair when they finally they got their order.
My child's chino was scorching hot and the milkshake was most definitely not worth $13.
Coffee and cake was nice, but not worth the wait or expense.
100% will not be returning.

I always get a welcoming reception even when I get there very early morning.
Coffee is best in taste and temperature compared to 5 other cafes I’ve tried at Knox. Clean environment. Very happy to recommend Cafe Otto.

Only had a coffee as the smell was to overwhelming from behind the kitchen. Not great and it’s a shame that authorities are not keeping an eye on the health and safety for the food. So dusty close to food areas
Warm cosy environment! Coffee was amazing and the service was great, the girls know their customers orders and their names. Nice little touch to the cafe ☺️
The coffee is really good but really expensive. They also charge extra for decaf and for credit card payments. You can call ahead for takeaway which is great. No free Wi-Fi and they play horrible music which is distracting for anyone trying to smash out some work over a coffee.
What a wonderful find! I brought a group of older people here for a coffee morning this morning and we had the most delightful time. The coffee & food options were all excellent but the staff absolutely made our day. Lovely warm & friendly service, we all felt very welcome & looked after. Every single client asked me if we could come back here again soon!! Thank you Kelly & team
Will never buy a thing from here. While waiting for a coffee a lovely staff member asked if she could go to the bathroom.
Wft! How dare they not let her go, how would they know if she needed to go badly etc.
And the person (lady) making the coffee refused to let her go in that moment.

Nice Cafe, good selection of menu options, wedges were really good, kids loved the chips with plenty of tomato sauce, lovely toasted sandwiches, everything was really nice. Service was very good and plenty of parking out the front. Milkshakes and coffee get five stars. We will be back.
I ate here with my mother a month ago and by myself yesterday. Both times the food was nice but quite overpriced and service was slow and confused. Adding toast to a dish that should have toast included costs an extra $6.50 and if U add a few extras to a meal it easily gets to over $50- which is too much for a simple breakfast to cost. It is a busy walk-thru cafe with a high turnover, attached to a yummy cake and ice-cream service.

My friends and I came here for brunch today and we were blown away! We ordered the Eggs Benny, Pisa Stack and Chilli Scramble, which were all amazing and complex in flavour - not like the basic brunch food. The Pisa Stack was particularly delicious. The cafe was cosy and customer service was lovely too.
We went there several months a go and the food was terrible. We gave it a second chance today and it was even more terrible. I could say more. But just don't waste your money.
Food perfection. Great coffee, awesome hot chocolate and my wife loved her pancakes with fresh berry compote. My smashed avocado with feta, poached egg and radish with a balsamic drizzle was spectacular!

Ordered the most expensive and tasteless BLT for what it was, it came with the thinnest pieces of tomato and lettuce in a very small portion with no seasoning or sauces - sent it back to the kitchen after few bites - The staff reckons the price is reasonable!! Coffee was good though
Travelled interstate for a work trip and really wanted a nice breakfast. Friendly clean environment, lovely happy staff, food and coffee was amazing and plentiful. I had the bacon & poached eggs on sourdough with a hashbrown, cappuccino and OJ. Generous portions and value for money. Staff knew every customer by first name like long time friends. A+ highly recommend!
This is definitely the best cafe that I've been visited in 5 years. This is more community, local, warm, friendly, feel sense of belong there... Customers are greet to staffs at the door first, instead of most of the business greet to the customers - feel cold, part of the job. Don't get me wrong. The staffs did acknowledge customers even when they work. I feel every staffs use their heart to work. Nearly every staffs had conversation to customers.
This is a fast pace cafe. Customers are come & goes. From my experience, this is one of the successful business and customers feel belong there comparing with the other cafes surroundings. Yeah, no doubt other cafe doing very good in sales. Number 1 or top 3 in Victoria in business point of view. Overall nothing can compare with others in business, customers, staffs point of view and working environment. This is the winner 🏆

The large coffee and tea are a good size and worth going in for. Really nice place and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Lots of pastry options too. The cookies served with the coffee are great too.

We both have medical conditions where it’s very important we don’t have Caffeine.
First the lady behind the counter couldn’t understand how to take a second order for the same table.
I’m assuming who is the manager had to step in and fix it.
She was very nice.
When we got our coffees both my mother and I suspected it may have been caffeine instead of decaf like we asked but weren’t sure.
We waited for our cakes for awhile until our support worker noticed they had been sitting on the bench for ages being ignored so she decided to just ask if they were ours and grab them.
The women at the counter apparently told her they would get taken to our table (they were ours) but our support worker told her she was going to take them to our table because they had already been sitting there a long time.
Turns out the Coffees were caffeinated as when my mother and I got home we both had reactions to it.
Coffee causes me seizures.
So I had a seizure.
My mother had just had a medical procedure where it was very important for her heart not to have caffeine.
It ended up making her very sick.

A wonderful Cafe with amble parking and lots of yummy dishes, always greeted with a smile. Great place for mums catch ups after school drop off's

Coffee was just ok. The seat was dusty and filled with food crumbs. What really bodered me was the cups and cutleries, they were dusty too and had lipstick stain and dried food scraps on it. One of the waitress looked annoyed serving us drinks. Not great.

It’s so basic and not worth the $14.90 should have just gone to McDonald’s and got a cheeseburger. It would have been a far more balanced meal other then a beef patty, a slice of cheese an egg and a drip of bbq sauce… no lettuce or tomato, was not aware it was a bbq burger. The girl that took the order continued to put chai latte on the order even after being told 3 times it’s just a normal latte. Won’t eat here again! I suggest you find another cafe to go to. She also forgot our bottle of water and we had to ask another 3 times. Honestly don’t waste your time or money!

The food was delicious, unfortunately the service was not. The employees were very cold and a bit rude. As soon as we arrived we were told that we could not eat inside because they were closing at 12pm. We arrived at 11pm, an hour before and we only ordered a banana bread. The overall attitude of the staff was not friendly, hopefully this can be fixed in the future.
Good coffee and honest service. They made a mistake with our order, they acknowledged it straight away and rectified immediately.
I have been going here for as long as I can remember, there service is some of the fastest and the food is always very nice.
When you ask for a recommendation for a nice cake and strong coffee ☕ and get exactly that. Both were perfect and a good size.

Popped in here for a breakfast, and whilst the food was excellent, it was rather expensive. The prices on the menu were a bit high, but I didn't see the bit where they charge an extra $2.50 for sourdough bread. I guess that's just a reflection of how inflation is affecting our economy, not to mention all the other cost increases such as wages, rent, utilities, ingredients, etc. Whilst it was very enjoyable, I don't think I'll be ordering the same given it was over $30 for a breakfast.
Cafe Otto never disappoints! Food is always served hot a tastes delicious. The toastie and hot drink deal for $9.80 is definitely my favourite. I have been going here since I was young and they has never mucked up my order. Staff is always polite and respectful. I definitely recommend going here!!
Just dropped in for a coffee. Small skinny Cap and small Almond milk Cap. Was just warm and coffee weak. Nice location and staff lovely
People coming and going which is a good sign. Friendly staff and nice deco. Had latte and salmon bagel, can’t complain - just hit all the right spots. Voted the best local cafe in Knox by a MP, usually don’t believe anything they say but this time, I’ll eat the humble pie. Will come again if in the suburb
I have ordered cappuccino and eggs Benedict.. coffee was really good but eggs Benny was not upto mark.. hollandaise sauce was very less and bread was bit hard.. will back again to try some other stuff..

We had the Potato and Leek soup, decaf latte, Iced latte and Babyccino.
The bread that came with the soup is crisp and soft, not hard throughout. It's really nice.
The decaf latte has a kind of nutmeg taste to it. It's different but nice. Really smooth taste.
Our daughter liked the Babyccino. Lots of chocolate powder and a marshmallow.
I would avoid the Iced Latte. It's a diluted mess. What's left of the taste of Coffee is a burnt bitterness. I am really really sorry to say this, it's almost like drinking an ashtray.

Great bacon & egg burger with coffee for $13. I loved the greens on the side. Wait staff were so helpful especially the young blond man who assisted customer getting on to his crutches.
Table was quite dirty when we seated. The young girl brought food to all tables without smiling ( she looked a bit cold). Asking for tape water she didn’t bring to us too. I think her customer service needs to be improved. Coffee was good with strong flavor.
These were what we ordered and after 20 min of wait these are what came. The waiter said only one word when she came. “Burger.” When asked why there was only one skinny chicken strip she said,”if that’s what it says on the menu then that’s what you get.” My husband ordered a sourdough melt $13.99 and that’s what he got, a thin slice of bread with spread of avocado, and scantily layered salad. Go figure.
Amazing customer service. Deliciously yummy food and the coffee was one of the best that my husband and I gave had, It was not bitter the bean were fresh and not burnt or stale. The two ladies who were working on the 17th june were so polite and very helpful. Thank you for your amazing customer service.
