Service and environment is very very good! But good are very average, ordered an Earl Grey cake, a Rocher (kind of) type cake, and an Ali Hill Bean brew. Earl grey just cream taste with no tea flavor,
Rocher just very bitter dark chocolate with no hint of nutty flavor; Milk Tea is just like any where else with just longer time to make. 10/10 for location ; 3/10 for food.

The Cakes are very good, so thats 4 stars.
The "specialty coffee" is really watery and absolutely not worth the money, even below 1 star considering 200NT. So zero stars for that, 2 in total.

Coffee at 89th floor? This is worth the nostalgia! Their coffee is not bad as well.

You don’t have many choices up here, but tbf it’s a good café. Their drinks (coffee, bubble tea) were flavorful and their cakes were pretty good, except the tiramisu which was too sweet and didn’t taste of coffee.

One of the few cafes up at level 89 of Taipei 101 tower. Seatings are very very limited hence is a challenge to get the experience of sipping expensive coffee while overlooking the city of Taipei. Was lucky to have secured one of the small and low kid chairs which uses the steel ledge on the window as tables.
The cake was ok while the costa rica canet beethovan did not live up to my liking. Would have preferred a pure coffee drink rather than such "hybrid" version i.e. coffee plus tea. But given the limited selection up in the tower when coffee urge strikes, not much choice.

The food was not as expected. The cake that I had chosen is ok.
Look at the presentation of the drink in the menu vs what I had. It’s not appealing at all. The drink is also a bit sour due to the pineapple and it does not blend well.
I understand the name of the shop spelt with a K but look at the sign on the table.
I think it’s not worth spending the money for it even with the voucher. Just go get Starbucks I think would be almost the same amount I paid.
Not recommended.

Awesome little cafe at the observation deck on 91st floor of Taipei 101. Lots of German style cakes and pastries to enjoy while looking out the sea of humanity around you. The coupon from the tickets can be used here as well.

Located on floor 89 in Taipei 101, this place does actual special coffee (which takes time to make) and has very delicious cakes. For non-Chinese speaking visitors, rest assured the staff do speak (accented) English.
The place usually has a long line and has its own small dining area. The dining area is dimly lit and the tables each have their own small light. Note there are only about 6 small tables, and people like to linger. There is an alcove to the side, by the counter, to throw away trash and leave used dishes.
An important thing to note is the coupons the ticket people give you when you purchase your observatory ticket. One coupon is specifically for KafeD, where you can get some amount off (I forgot the specific $ amount) if you buy 1 specialty coffee AND 1 cake. The specialty coffees are the coffees on the first page, helpfully labeled "Specialty Coffee"; any other drink does not count for the coupon. For non-coffee drinkers who still want to use a coupon, you can use the $ (again, forgot the specific amount) off any purchase over NT$500 coupon.
I am personally not a coffee drinker (caffeine makes me sleepy), so I cannot say what the coffee is like. But their cakes are delicious! The Lemon Basil was particularly interesting, with a basil flavored center; I highly recommend.
I would definitely come back for the cakes, and I may try some of their non-caffeine drinks. Though I will go to their non-Taipei 101 location instead 😄.
