Top Fish farms in Nehalem, United States

We stopped on a whim to kill some time before we could check into our vacation rental. It's more than just a fish hatchery. Although the facilities are a bit undermaintained they're in good working order. It was fun to feed the fish, and the short hike down the trail to the river and falls was a treat none of us expected.

After taking pictures and skipping rocks for about an hour we headed out. It was a great stop and would be a great place for a picnic in the summer if the area doesn't get too crowded.

Always enjoy visiting the hatchery, Umbrella falls is a hidden gem. Changes flow rate and size throughout the year. Also good fishing when the fish are running

Great area to fish. Yes the hatchery is closed for visits due to COVID but there is still angler parking. Not sure what that 1-star comment is going on about getting run off. Had a great time fishing for resident trout about a quarter mile upstream.

We love to stop here when camping in the area,or on the way to Rockaway Beach. It is a very nice stop. To picnic, walk around, feed the fish, look at the fish, nature walk, check out Umbrella Falls. We have never fished here,but they have a dock,that is handicap accessible. And you can fish on the banks. They have a nice swimming hole too. And restrooms.I have never seen a soul here,besides the employees. The man there was nice.

It's a very productive place to fish , if you are there at the right time. Large handicap/disabled fishing area .Fishing just below the hatchery is a great place to target fish returning.
