What gem in Dorchester! The house is amazingly well preserved with mosaics in most rooms and a superb example of Roman under floor heating.

A preserved Roman house under a pavilion. No entry to the pavilion but that's to protect the ruins.
Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

This is a fascinating site with good access. There are informative, clear interpretation boards. The building covering the site was closed the day I visited. However, the excavated site can be clearly seen through the large glass walls.

This was a bit of a find. It was very well presented and very intriguing. Well worth a visit, but if you are visiting and not on a tour don't expect to spend more than 30 minutes there. But it is worth a visit.

Amazing there's still something left after all these years
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who showed us around the museum first and then on to the site. Equally informative here, lovely mosaics. The tickets also entitled us to return to the museum to have a second longer look at the exhibits. Thoroughly recommend this.
