Great Italian restaurant in Zehlendorf (Southwest), Berlin.
This place is pretty, and feels authentic. Street music on occasion too which adds to the charm. And the food is nommmmm 🫶
Staff work very hard here and are very friendly, helpful and kind.
But book a table in advance for peak times or prepare to wait. It can get filled inside and out very quickly.

Wir waren 2 Personen, meine Freundin hatte Ente kross mit Erdnuss-Curry-Sosse und war zufrieden, ich leider nicht mit meiner Udon-Suppe mit Rindfleisch. Die Brühe selbst war schmackhaft, aber das wenige Fleisch ausgekocht und fest, 2 Stücke ungeniessbar, einziges Gemüse etwas Pak-Choi, sehr bissfest, kaum Kräuter. Die gebackene Banane zum Nachtisch matschig und überreif, hätte man ohne Panade nicht mehr essen können. Hätte ich auch lieber lassen sollen, hatte danach mit starkem Sodbrennen und Übelkeit zu kämpfen und mehrere Tage einen Magen-Darminfekt. Nach dem Essen, aber vor dem Nachtisch, wurde gefragt, ob es o.k. war, ich habe auf die entsorgten Fleischstücke hingewiesen, hat aber nicht interessiert. Vorläufig nicht wieder, da mir das Ambiente auch nicht so gefallen hat.
Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Super frisch zubereitet. Die Ente auch wirklich knusprig. Preis - Leistung top. Immer wieder gern.
Das Sushi ist hier sehr gut und das Preisleistungsverhältnis auch. Viele Restaurants für Sushi sind extrem gestiegen. Baobao hat sich gehalten und die Qualität ist geblieben.
Wir sind schon öfters dort essen gewesen, wenn wir in der Nähe waren. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker. Bis jetzt können wir nichts beanstanden. Das Ambiente gefällt uns auch, aber das ist ja immer Geschmackssache. Man kann schön zuschauen, wie die Pizzen hergestellt und belegt werden. Klasse 👍🏻.
Haben heute zum ersten mal Essen dort zum abholen bestellt, es hat alles Gut geklappt und das Essen war schnell fertig. Auf Wunsch wurde auch kurzfristig noch ein weiteres Gericht zubereitet.
Das Rote Curry und vor allem die Sommerrollen sind zu empfehlen, habe nur in wenigen Vietnamesischen Restaurants so gutes Essen bekommen.
Preis-Leistung stimmt auf jeden Fall, gerne wieder.

All around fantastic food and great lemonade as well. Service was fast, friendly and professional.
It became one of my favorite vegan restaurants 😋

Fontana is the place to be. Interior of the location is top, service is professional and friendly. We had pizza, pasta and beverages ( cocktails ) we enjoyed the night and we celebrate with the staff my friend's BD.

Essen war fast in Ordnung aber sehr viel Knoblauch in der Pasta. Auf dem Bild ist 1/3 zu sehen und nun mein Mundgeruch "etwas" streng!

Man könnte zu sehen wie die Pizza gemacht wird. Essen sehr gut geschmeckt.
Sind bei einem sommerlichen Streifzug durch Berlin über dies Pizzeria in einem schönen Berliner Innenhof gestolpert. Es war noch Nachmittag, von daher war das Restaurant noch nicht allzu voll.
Dir Bruschetta als Vorspeise war super, die Pizza war auch gut. Die Auswahl an angebotenem Belag war klassisch - hier hätte ich mir vielleicht das eine oder andere kleine Highlight in Sachen Zutaten gewünscht.

Etwas unangenehm ist der Geruch nach WC Reiniger oder WC-Steinen im Restaurant, wahrscheinlich durch die Lüftung.

Nothing in the menu was available and the waiter replaced it for what he think is the same the wine the starter even the main dish and i think i won’t come back again

Ein nettes Restaurant. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Wir waren acht Freundinnen und es war ein schöner Abend. Das Essen und die Getränke haben die gute Stimmung durchaus gefördert.
Nach etwas suchen haben wir das wirklich schön gelegene Restaurant gefunden. Weg vom Trubel der Stadt. Wir sind herzlich empfangen worden. Und haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt. Drinnen ist es authentisch, herrlich die rot weiß karierten Tischdecken.
Service so freundlich und empathisch. Karte nicht all zu groß, was ich persönlich mag.
Meine Pizza war super, auch die Pasta war köstlich.

Wunderschöne Pizzeria! Witzig-gesprächige Bedienung und insgesamt sehr freundliches Personal und schneller Service. Die Pizza (Siciliana) war sehr lecker, der Rotwein dazu absolut passend. Preis-Leistung passt absolut (hab 15 Euro, bzw. dann 18 Euro mit Trinkgeld für eine leckere Pizza und ein 0.2 Glas Wein gezahlt). Wird ab sofort in meine Liste von "Must Eats" ;D gesetzt, wenn ich in Berlin bin.

Besuch aufgrund einer Empfehlung . Türkische Küche kennen wir anders. Auch wenn es nicht nur knoblauch sein muss, Gewürze ( nicht so teuer) wären schon toll, wenigstens frische Petersilie .... Speisekarte eher international. Schade.

Seit Jahren eins unserer Lieblingsrestaurants . Das Essen ist jedes Mal sehr lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Änderungswünsche (aufgrund von Unverträglichkeiten) werden immer berücksichtigt. Sehr professionelle und herzliche Bedienung. Man spürt, dass Ma. Willkommen ist. Unbedingt die Leber als Vorspeise probieren und - wenn es auf der Karte ist - die Ochsenbäckchen nehmen.
Excellent Austrian restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and service from the staff. Spotlessly clean place. The schnitzel was really amazing and that was the reason we went. Everything we ate was very tasty and well prepared. The variety of ice creams at the end also very tasty. The cost is relatively high but it is proportional to the quality.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Great food and friendly service. Very authentic dishes and loved the portion sizes! The presentation of the food was very nice too.👌

The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was because of one aspect of customer service I didn't appreciate - however aside from this, service was friendly and helpful.
They brought out 2 entre dishes that we did not order. She insisted that we did, however we did not. She stood there insisting that we did and that we should take it. Then she went through the orders list she had written and the dishes were in fact not ordered by us. YET she maintained that we should take them. In this case, it was not our mistake, yet we were pressured to take them and pay for them. I would suggest that either she should have taken them back to the kitchen OR given them for free as they had been made.
There are a number of areas to sit which makes it feel cosy and not too crowded. The decorations were nice and there is also a toilet. 🚻

Lovely place, food and people. Would recommend for sure. The surrounding area like the rest of berlin is quite busy, but in this little place it is a garden of quiet and peace.

Als wir das Restaurant im Innenhof gefunden haben wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Drinnen und draußen kann entspannt gegessen werden. Pizza und Pasta waren fantastisch.
Nice big Italian restaurant. Choice of fresh fish, pasta, antipasti. Very well prepared and cook. Nice terrace which was great because it was still warm at the end of December. What worth the drive there. Waiter a vero Italians took good care of us.
Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant in den Heckmann-Höfen. Keine Autos, kein Lärm - man denkt fast, nicht in Berlin zu sein 😄 Wir haben ohne Reservierung sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Die Pasta mit Lachs bzw. Schweinefilet-Stücken war sehr lecker - inkl. Getränken haben wir 40€ gezahlt 👍

Sehr leckere Pizza in Berlin für unter 10 Euro gegessen. Schöne schattige Aussenplätze. Würden wiederkommen.
Es ist völlig in Ordnung geschmacklich und preislich, guter Service dazu. Allerdings irgendwie einfach zu altbackend und nicht mehr passend. Man kann ruhig hingehen und probieren. Allerdings muss man eben das auch nicht tun und das ist das Manko. Gericht mit Schweinefleisch hat uns am Besten gefallen, andere zwei eher nicht unser Geschmack gewesen.
I feel compelled to leave a review because given all the things that have already been posted here so far, and the wide range of opinions on display, we went to eat there with a slight case of cold feet.
Well, simply put, we really liked the schnitzel, which is great because that's what we came for. We both ate the "regular" veal schnitzel, not knowing what to expect from the viennese-style one made out of pork, so I can't say anything about this one.
The veal schnitzel is crisp with a very tender and slim meat. I wonder what people calling it "chewy" or "dry" were served. Maybe a bad night for the cook? It was not our experience. It was delicious and huge, yes, I was about to forget, it's pretty much one a half schnitzel. If you want to taste something different, I think it's OK to just order one schitzel and take another dish that you can share for an expanded experience.
As for the cons, in rapid fire: the Spritz was a bit bland (too much water is my guess), you have to pay for the sides (cucumber salad for my wife and roast potatoes for me, both good but a bit expensive at around €5 a pop, and you also pay €1.50 for the jam to go with the meat).
With that said, the place is quite cozy and classy, the service was alright, maybe not the warmest but I believe it's the Berlin way.
To sum up, I would recommend if you have a few euros to spare (around 35€ per person). 4 stars, I'll probably come again if I'm around some day!

Ok good and a nice place. Very clean. The food was a little plain and tasted ok.
Polite and professional service, incredible food! We had the schnitzel with potatoes / cucumber salad and the goulash and the portions were so generous and everything tasted delicious. We did save some space for dessert, the strudel with ice cream was so yummy. The highlight for me was the alcohol free cocktails which were actually tasty and thoughtfully made. Very nice touch. This is comfort food done right. Bravo 👏

Wir sind öfter in Berlin und sind hier gerne zum Mittagessen . Pizza, Pasta und Lambrusco sind lecker, nur die Servicekräfte sind wortkarg und teilweise auch nicht besonders freundlich. Das war vor 2-3 Jahren noch anders.
This is by far the best Schnitzel restaurant I’ve ever had in Berlin so far. The service was also impeccable, they go over and beyond from their recommendations to preparing our meals fast and efficient. I highly recommend anyone visiting or living in Berlin to try Jolesch👌
Das Restaurant liegt sehr ruhig in den Heckmann Höfen. Bei schönem Wetter sitzt man wunderschön und idyllisch draußen. Drinnen ist es auch typisch italienisch. Nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Pizza Tonno und Spagetti waren super.
Overrated, you should take heed of the negative reviews! Schnitzel was dry internally, meat inside paper thin, lacked taste really lacklustre. Of every restaurant I ate in over 4 days in Berlin this was utterly disappointing.
Waiter accidentally spilt a drink over my friend, all down his shorts and seemed aggrieved to say sorry! Didn’t even pick up all the glass pieces around him. I ended up picking most of them up and even then he didn’t bother to check the floor or sweep after.
Also, initially we were seated inside, no tables outside, no problem. One became free I asked if I could occupy it, was told no as they have reservations. Few min later two customers arrived asking for a table stating they had no booking and were seated outside in the table I asked about!!
The toilets are also gross. Small, tight, the seated toilet door is a plastic upvc stretch door with a garden latch. Considering the reputation and reviews I’d expect something a little more modern and sanitary. You couldn’t stand two small men in the urinals without them touching as they are so compressed together. It’s pretty nasty, what I’d expect from a cheap cafe.
To summarise the staff treat you badly and look uninterested and bored even after tipping a drink over you.
The mains are subpar considering their cost. Dry, tasteless, nearly more breadcrumb than meat.
The facilities are tiny and if you need to use the sit down toilet you’ll have a thin plastic stretch door with a thin garden latch to enclose you.
There’s a lot more choices in Berlin where you’ll be treated with a little more respect.

Among many schnitzels both in Germany and Austria, this one is absolutely at the top.
At the same time, with an incredibly polite and present host, it completes a fantastic experience.

Ein wirklich schöner Ort um gutes Essen zu genießen . Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend . Schön eingedeckte Tische und ein sehr aufmerksamer und netter Service . Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und nett fürs Auge angerichtet. Wir hatten die warme und kalte Vorspeisen Platte . Sehr lecker und auch die Hauptgerichte sehr köstlich. Das Lamm zart und die Beilagen mal anders . Die Auberginen Joghurt Creme zum Lamm passt super . Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Abend erlebt .
There aren't many Chinese places in Tegel, so me and my friends gave it a try to Sun Wah. We visited for dinner time, and it was pretty empty inside. Just to the point, rating dishes here: Cooked rice wasn't even tasty. Not to even mention all 3 other main dishes or 3 other starters (which were all so loveless and tasteless), how come rice can be not even average? It was old (probably polished long time ago, and quality of rice was also not better than 7-9€ take out Asian imbiss places). Food is very average or even below average. Especially the 'Kross-Ente' had somewhat Bloody/fishy taste and wasn't even crispy. Too bad we will have to make a trip to other area when we crave some Chinese foods in the future :(

Sehr nettes Personal, super leckeres Essen, Preis Leistung Unschlagbar gut. Ich werde wieder dort essen gehen.
Tolles Restaurant, großartiger Service und das Lamm war ein Traum. Mal etwas anderes und auch für Vegetarier ist was dabei.

Me and my child got a food poisoning after eating here. Now taking care of a poor child throwing up and with a diarrhoea all night while me being nauseated is not what I expected when choosing to eat here. It is unfortunately hard to have this proven but this was the last place we ate something and things went down….
Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Pizza, die gut gemacht war und preislich auch völlig in Ordnung. Allerdings wurden wir von den Kellnern nicht so sehr beachtet. Als wir uns einen Platz ausgewählt haben, dauerte es ziemlich lange bis jemand kam um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Bis die Getränke kamen haben wir auch lange gewartet. Wir haben uns nicht freundlich aufgenommen gefühlt, schade, weil der Laden hätte ansonsten Potenzial gehabt ihn öfter zu besuchen. So wie die Umstände waren aber lieber nicht.

It's a bit dark and warmly decorated. We felt welcome and comfortable. We had the Viennese goulash, ham schnitzel, and apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. The flavours were wonderful, the meat tender, LARGE portions... very friendly and helpful staff. We even tried the espresso martini - which was surprisingly delicious. We will definitely take friends and family.

Ich fand die Pizza sehr lecker. Luftiger Teig, leckere Tomatensauce, alles super. Auch der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind etwas überdurchschnittlich, aber mMn angemessen. Einziger Nachteil: zumindest an dem Abend als ich da war, war es voll und sehr, sehr laut, ich dachte ich sitze in einem Festzelt. Ich weiß nicht, ob das an der Akustik des Raums lag, also immer so ist oder schlicht einige Gäste Probleme haben, ein Restaurant von einem Bierzelt zu unterscheiden.

This is a hidden gem. Never crowded but very decent. The sushi are great, there’s a good variety in the menu with all the must-haves, and you get your food fast. The owners are always so nice. It’s cash only.

Super friendly, very accommodating and the place has a super nice vibe/atmosphere. Definitely recommend if you're in Zehlendorf and are looking for a nice place to grab a meal/Italian food!

I had Knödel and Kaiserschmarrn. Both solid, but I have not been blown away. I am a vegetarian so didn’t eat the Schnitzel, but it looked amazing.

We had a lovely meal at Jolesch. The food was phenomenal - hard to pick a favorite from the table but the goulash is not to be missed. The wine menu was filled with great options and prices. Tu, our server, was the cherry on top. Thank you for the friendly and wonderful service! Will certainly return on our next visit to Berlin.
Nice vibe! Candlelight and a funky interior make the atmosphere great. Delicious schnitzel served with a perfectly cooked potato salad. Friendly staff. Overall, a great experience!

Meh sushi, it’s quite cheap if you have the craving and not too much money… the appetisers (dumplings and skewers) were the best part, tasty chicken and well filled dumplings.

Amazing Schnitzel, they have pork and veal, I usually order one of each and share them. You have normal and small portion, the small is now that small, hehehe
The pasta with cheese ain’t that good or at least it was my least favorite. I’ve been more than 5 times and I still recommend it as a must for schnitzel. Good wine, cheap litter bottle and normal more expensive so you have for all taste and wallets

I'm usually really picky when it comes to vegan food, but I have to say that this restaurant surpasses my expectations! The food has so much flavor, their unique drinks are just superb and the service is very friendly. This restaurant gives off such a comforting vibe , with all the cool lamps they attached, which makes long stays very pleasent. You can easily notice that they're very meticulous as they pay attention to every single detail. The food/drink decoration as well as the quality of each and every food is admiring!

Each dish was beautifully presented in unique ceramic bowls and attention was given to every single detail to make the meal a feast both for the eyes and the palate! The drinks were equally elaborate, with a special mention for the litchi-based mocktail (named Asian Dream or something similar) which was truly scrumptious.
All is vegan and symbols indicate in details the allergen present in each item, which is SO RARE and yet so useful. I had not had Phở in 9 years as it's super difficult to find a vegan version but I'm happy it led me to this place.

Incredible food and awesome staff. Definitely the most delicious and authentic Austrian food I’ve had outside of Austria. You really want to have a three course meal here - can’t miss out on all the possible flavours. Awesome wine selection as well. Plus - vegetarian and vegan option!

I actually really liked this place. I had käsespätzle which was delicious. They have a good range of drinks and cakes. The ambience inside is also quite nice. Service was fine.
The reason it gets a 3 star rating is because there is a big smoking room at the back, but apparently no system to keep the smoke away from the non-smoking section. So, throughout the meal the smell of tobacco drifted into the room, which was quite off-putting.

The service was super fast. However there was a reason: Terrible food. It was not fresh. They just gave me probably leftovers from another visitor, which I believe didn't finish his for the same reason. Vegetables and meat looked old, the noodles either, And overfried. No interest why we didn't finish our food and obviously no apologies. The noodles with beer around 8.50 euro, and you can get better quality for 4 euro in any Asia imbiss chain
