I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of amazing; each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our every need was met with a smile. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another culinary adventure. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

I loved the place! It’s modern and quiet clean and the service is so good .. the food was the best part !! I loved everything about this place, me and my friend ordered iraqi mixed grill. and it was so delicious.. it was my first time there but it wouldn’t be my last time of course ❤️

The service is simply amazing. The staff is very kind and everything is brought over to your table quickly.The shisha lounge upstairs is the perfect place to chill with a tv in the room incase you wanna watch a football game with friends. Whatever you order is pretty good for a fair price considering its location. i come here with every one of my friends atleast once a month

We recently dined at Middle eat. The food was absolutely delicious. Their loaded nachos are a must try. The ambiance of the place is warm and cosy. The prices are reasonable. They sometimes give discount if you book in advance online. The only downside was the service time. Even though the place was not crowded, the food took a long time to arrive. Apart from that everything was good.

The price-quality-quantity is amazing! A lot of veggie and vegan options. I enjoyed it very much!

Located on Prinsengracht, Amigo Grill Restaurant, has great views of the city's most famous landmark, Westerkerk and its 85 meter (almost 279 feet) high tower, which was completed in 1638.
This Argentinian-themed eatery has colourful murals of gaucho cowboys and a large cow staring down from the ceiling. It has comfortable seating, together with a delightful outside terrace.
Catering predominantly to tourists, the restaurant shares its kitchen with Amigo restaurant, a few doors down, just around the corner, on Rozengracht.
In general, the restaurant attracts good reviews for its meat dishes, but a recent lunchtime visit proved to be a great disappointment. Having reserved for four persons, three decided to begin with onion soup, which arrived as a tasteless watery clear broth, most likely made from a powder substance, bearing no resemblance to its namesake. Each person took a spoonful and declined to finish the remainder. The calamari was edible, but nothing to write home about.
My main pasta course arrived fifteen minutes before the dishes ordered by the remainder of the group. Having waited until the rest were served, it became unappetisingly cold. All dishes suffered from a serious lack of seasoning, and none were returned fully consumed.
The apple pie cheesecake, ordered out of curiosity, contained no cheesecake whatsoever; We were totally mystified why it was named as such.
The solitary waitress had done her best to be accommodating throughout, in what was clearly an awkward situation. We were offered a glass of liqueur with the bill. Unsure if this was restaurant policy, or her attempt to appease, but it was a nice gesture.
Would we return any time soon? Highly unlikely.

A really good Argentinian restaurant! The price was really good and the food excellent! Highly recommended!

Fantastic all round. Food, service and location were all terrific. We had the mixed grill and it did not disappoint. Seasoned well, cooked too perfection and great portions.

Fantastic setting if you sit outside by the canal. Service was wonderful. Food came out quickly. We shared one of the complete plates for two, which had more than enough food for three people. Meat was plentiful, but the steak and chicken were very bland (just salt/pepper). Recommend ordering one of the sauces that may have been on the menu.

Absolutely delicious! A mix of varied middle Eastern/North African cuisine. And, I ❤️ the background music too. A place excellent for Vegan/Veggie eaters too.

Food was fine, but when I went to pay I was told that it was cash only. This wasn’t specified anywhere on a sign or stated before I sat down. I find this highly unusual for a place in the Netherlands. Furthermore, I was then directed to get cash out across the street where I had to pay a 4 € fee to take out 40€. Disappointing.

Abbiamo riferito la necessitá di riceverli entro massimo 15 minuti.
Dopo 15 minuti dall'ordinazione, sono prontamente arrivati gli hamburger, ma erano solo 3 e ce ne siamo dovuti accorgere noi!!!
Gli hamburger peró erano buoni.
Il cameriere italiano che ci ha accolti è stato gentile, facendoci sedere internamente durante l'attesa, nonchè simpatico.

The food here was amazing. We ordered a few different items, and everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. The falafel, tzatziki, chicken, and rice were all delicious.
Two of us split the large chicken steak kebab plate and three appetizers, and we were very satisfied. Great service, nice atmosphere, and amazing food. Highly recommended!

With my husband want to eat something for lunch but not to much, walking from Amsterdam we found Amigo Grill, it was delicious 🤤! Perfect we was searching, we ordered just the entrance, empanadas de carne and chorizo 😋, the personal attention was very good 😊. Thank you Amigos Grill !!

I didn't expect to be disappointed coming here because it had a good rating on Greviews. Hence, when I was in the middle of eating my 500gr (45 EUR) tenderloin, I couldn't stop thinking what actually made this place highly regarded.
I will try my best to review each element of the steak below. But before that, I'd like to say that the beef empanadas were good. I just wish they were bigger in size.
Now, the steak.
---Serving method and doneness---
The steak was served on a hot steel plate. Which means it was still being cooked when it arrived at my table. I really don't like this idea because to me a good steak should be rested well before serving to keep the juices. This way, the doneness of the meat became confusing. It was pink in the center but the grey layer was already too dry. Plus, there was no crust on the outside.
---Seasoning---
Underseasoned is truly an understatement here. For a steak with this size and thickness, the taste was almost nonexistent. I was surprised. I had to grind salt and pepper on the side of my plate and pat it with my steak in every bite. It's almost like the chef was trying to say "I give you the meat, you go season it yourself to your liking", which is a bad approach in a restaurant.
---Sauce---
First off, there was no complimentary sauce. Not even one. I had to pay 2.5 EUR for each bowl of sauce I ordered. I tried two different sauces: the chimicurri and the mushroom sauce. The former was okay but the latter was astonishingly disappointing. I never thought a steakhouse could go wrong with mushroom sauce until I tried Amigo. I don't know what they used as the base for the sauce but it tasted as if they infused mayonnaise with mushroom.
After 3 bites, I couldn't even tell the difference in taste between the mushroom sauce and the frites sauce (mayo?) that they left at the table in sachets (which, btw, looked so unprofessional for a steakhouse).
---CONCLUSION---
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to someone who is looking for an exceptional steak dining experience.
But if you're a guy trying to impress a girl by taking her out to dinner, and if she doesn't care much about what makes a steak good, Amigo could be a very good option because of the price.

The way to treat the customer is bad. I was asking where can I wash my hand , and one waiter shows the way inside. I wash my hand in a washdishes and suddenly a waitress coming and asking what I am doing and thats not appropriate to wash my hand over there. Then I explain but still didnt get it with my explanation. No politeness at all.

Pessimo.Tipica trappola per turisti. Ci hanno "adescato" all'ingresso con mille gentilezze e poi ci hanno servito cibo scarso per qualità e quantità, facendolo pagare caro (quasi 5 euro per due foglie di insalata). Da evitare assolutamente!
