Great customer service.
Mole is great, and the Flauta with green chili sauce is tasty.
Spanish Rice is good.
These are buffet items.

Came here to try the Chiles en Nogada....only to learn that it is a seasonal dish. Ordered a variety of tacos instead. All were outstanding and a good amount of food for the price. A little bit worn down interior but who cares when the food is good.

The food was great. We tried a bit of everything and recommend sharing a few starters to see what you might want for your entree.

395 for the buffet which was initially fine but the food was hardly worth half of that price. Wouldn’t try again.

SCAM ALERT BE WARNED Visited the place with a friend by looking at positive feedback but unfortunately they charged my card twice. After I was informed my bank I went back to them show them the double charge for but they just laughed and ignored. Applied for cancellation through the bank. Better look for a better safer place guys.

Pretty subpar experience overall with the food. The place may be a draw due to the waitresses’ appearances, however, which was somewhat of a surprise to us as tourists.

Tourist trap. Food is overpriced and not very good, and they automatically charge a 20% tip for below average service. Avoid.

recommended to us by the concierge at the Mondian hotel. What a wonderful experience. The seafood cerviche was amazing and my Tlayudas was as good as anything I had in Oaxaca..One of the best meals I had in Mexico. Highly recommended.
Be sure not to miss this beautiful historic building, especially if staying in Centro Historico. It was the first mall in all of Mexico, and each room used to be a store. The elevators were two of the first in the country and were donated by Porfirio himself.

Only folks with restaurant reservations get the best views (even if you’re spending 2-4 times as much money as the tourists with the better tables), and I suggest booking for 6pm-ish (before sunset). Great views, great food & drinks (the aguachile was yummy, the tortilla soup with shrimp & chicharones was delightful, and their take on a sangria was tasty), and very attentive staff.
Food was great. The mole was bomb

Really fantastic food and cocktails. Food inspired by traditional cooking by women in Mexico. Unique and delicious menu. Taco negra and flautas with bone marrow were outstanding. Don't miss it!

Awesome food. Inventive, original and tasty.
People make the atmosphere and they were just nothing short of outstanding
A must

Went with 2 mates. The margaritas were good. Cerviche and salad was great. The roasted tomato soup was excellent. I recommend it. For mains the duck dish had a sauce to die for. The fish dish I chose, really wasn't up to scratch. The fish fillet was thick and overcooked - so very chewy. This could have been compensated if there was more than just a scraping of chipotle sauce. Also the menu didn't say the potatoes were mashed. The pork dish was neither good nor bad. So overall, a little disappointing for the price.

If you’re craving authentic Mexican, come here! We ordered the traditional chalupitas as an appetizer. The enchiladas tricolor (my favorite was the oaxaqueña) and pozole rojo con cerdo. Everything was so flavorful - highly recommend!

Overall it is a good restaurant, but quality price ratio is not perfect. I found the food very expensive for what it was, the fish of the day had no special taste….
I was impressed with the selection of foods at the all-Mexican buffet. I loved it so much, I returned the next day for the items I liked most. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I like to finish my meal with fresh fruit and that wasn't an option on my second visit. Instead of fresh fruit, it was the same fruit with Chamoy sauce drizzled on top.

I hate chamoy sauce so I was not happy to have to use tongs to try to find pieces of fruit that had not yet been ruined by the sauce. Not only did I not want to try to pick out just the pieces of fruit that weren't ruined by the sauce, an employee told me I had to use the spoon because the tongs were for another item. It's not my fault he ruined the fruit and caused me to have to use tongs to attempt to find and grab any of the fruit that wasn't destroyed by the sauce! The employee caused the problem- not me!

If the manager reads this: please don't allow employees to put chamoy sauce on the fresh fruit. There is a bottle of chamoy and other salsas at the end of the buffet. If customers want chamoy or any other sauce, please let them make that choice on their own as is the case with the other sauces. I hate chamoy and I hate salt or spice on my fresh fruit.

Other than the incident with the chamoy sauce, it was a great restaurant to enjoy excellent Mexican dishes that you just can't find everywhere (like tacos and tortas on every street). The final reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they insist on only paying in cash. For about $180 MXN (about $10.55 USD) without a drink, it was definitely worth the price!!

Very noisy with almost a Gentleman's club atmosphere, with female servers in bunny outfits, We only stayed for one drink. Not for families.
I had the most memorable experience eating at las sirenas. Raúl, our server was exceptional! He provided first class waiting and the food was some of the best fine dining I’ve encountered. I can’t forgot to mention the rooftop dining rivals any around the world.
Great view, beautiful building and delicious food.
We had duck , Ceviche, and tried mole for the first time.
All great dishes. Very pleasant.

Stopped by for a quick dinner before Lucha Libre, and were pretty satisfied. We didn't expect the quesa birria to be this huge. Lots of cheese and seasoned meat. Flan is okay, a little too dense for my liking. Restaurant was spacious, and food came put pretty fast.
View is nice, but not dissimilar to others around the Zócalo. Slow at the reception to get us upstairs. You can go more affordable and nicer than here. The food looks bunk and is overpriced, so we had drinks and left. Professional service. $155 Chambrulé (sparkling white) and $185 carajillo made (correctly) tableside.
From all the “terrace” restaurants in the area near the zocalo square. This one is by far one of the best ones. Their duck was phenomenal, mezcal Maria Bonita was a master craft cocktail of its own. The octopus tacos was just the right crisp and flavor of acidity and flavor.

Would most return during my stay and so glad we tried this place.

Second dinner on our first night and it was incredible! We ordered the enchiladas and six house tacos. The tacos definitely were the star of the show.
This place was wonderful. It is in an old home that is beautifully decorated. The hostess seated us on the rooftop overlooking the Templo and the cathedral.
Our waiter, Raoul, recommended the guacamole as an appetizer and have us a good description of the wines that were available. Throughout the meal he was attentive and patient.
I should have taken a picture of the Oaxaca mole that I had, but it was difficult to put my fork down.
Very tasty food. The portions are generous, and the service is good. Try the consomé they offer for free while you wait for your food.
We came spontaneously and they were able to seat us, but there was a line to enter the terraza restaurant. Probably because people have learned it has a great view, but it also has really delicious empanadas and a generous dessert menu. We enjoyed the gorgeous views over the plaza, including the lights for Mexican Independence Day and illuminated cathedral! Come here for a romantic dinner or with some friends!

The chiles en nogada is a must ! The contrast in different textures and flavours can’t be beat ! The Yucatan pork tacos were bursting with flavour. We tried the mole but it was a bit too sweet for our liking. The staff were great, they also gave us tacos and cactus (nopales) salad on the house !
Definitely a 3* Michelin restaurant!

This and many restaurants like it in Mexico City are the reason why the Michelin guide doesn’t publish or grant stars in Mexico: it would steal the show for the European restaurants!

Amazing setting, amazing food, super service and the best Margarita de Tamarindo I’ve ever tried (must be over 100 by now!).

Amazing building, view, food, and staff. A few streets away depending what street you are on you will see very heartbreaking working / living conditions… yet this restaurant has one of the most romantic environments I’ve ever experienced and they are extremely professional.

Calificación: 8

Cosas buenas:

Fantastic atmosphere with a wonderful view. The food is amazing (best red snapper that I have ever had) and very reasonably priced. The service was top-notch. I would highly recommend making a reservation and stopping by. Enjoy the historic elevator ride on the way up (classy).
Good food 😋 everything was good. Perfect you get what you like.
Amazing food and cocktails!! The view and building are incredibly beautiful and to top it off, the food was to die for. I ordered the “fake zucchini pasta” and they made the zucchini taste absolutely sinful. Then the cheesecake zero was so light and fluffy… one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

The reviews really got my hopes up to try Las Chalupitas. We were greeted and seated right away, the restaurant was rather empty around dinner time. They took our drink order right away but took forever for the drinks to come. Taking our food order also took time and there weren't many people at the restaurant. The consome de pollo was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The horchata I ordered was in a bottle and was not the best, felt more commercial than a homemade drink. Even though this place does give a vibe of a very homemade Mexican food, the drinks said otherwise. The enchiladas divorciadas were good though. The prices for this restaurant were a bit above, even for the area. Other than that, the service was okay, nothing special, and the restrooms had like it had better days. I would go somewhere else for better and cheaper Mexican food.

I’ve been in so many places allready but this place Here took my breath away.
Food was delicious, service left no wishes open and the architecture and atmosphere left such an great mark. This place is worth every penny!!!!!!!! Don’t miss out on this place when in Mexico
The view is simply AMAZING.
I’m so happy I found this beautiful restaurant to watch the sunset.
The service was wonderful and the food and drinks were great! Specially the sangria!
A bit more on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the view ❤️

Great view of El Zocalo. Food is a bit pricey but a must experience if you are a tourist. You get a cool ride up one of their old elevators. Note that if you want a balcony table, you must have small groups. Also, some of their main dishes are shareable. We ended up taking a ton of food home.
We did not stay at this hotel but did eat here for lunch one day while visiting Mexico City. This was our favorite meal during our vacation. We got an assortment of dishes and drinks - everything we ordered was well executed, beautiful, and delicious. The service was also the best we had during our trip. And the view could not be beat! We had a wonderful view of the square, the cathedral, and the zocalo. Even the experience getting to the restaurant was amazing - we were escorted by hotel staff up the historic elevator with an explanation of the history of the hotel. I would recommend this place 100%! I was worried there would be a long wait since we didn’t have reservations, but when we arrived on a weekday around 12:45pm and walked right in with no wait and got a great table.

We really liked the drinks and service here. It’s a very small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The mushroom soup was just mushrooms and onions in a beef broth, I wouldn’t order this again. The ceviche was delicious and unique with the passion fruit added. The sea bass was good but not very flavorful, it was on top of a cream sauce that also had a delicate flavor.

A local favorite, excellent food, fun atmosphere, good service and live band
Altamente recomendable
So this place it’s a tourist rip off, the charge 50% tip over the bill, don’t come here.

Very solid birria. When asked what "style" of birria it was they said it was their own. Def true, was very much a fan. Solid handmade tortillas. Quesabirrias are on point. The queso oaxaca is good quality.

I found this restaurant with my mom years ago; and every time I have the chance to come in, is a really great experience. Normally you will enjoy a buffet based on Mexican food, and live music next to you, the quality of the food is just amazing, every bit worth to broke your diet.

Now during the pandemic season it has change a little bit the buffer, but not the quality, you have even a variety of salads or dishes that are normally on the menu and now included at the buffet; but specially what keep it special is the service. Just THE BEST that you will find at the historical center of Mexico City, they take time to ask you how you are, if you want this or that, etc.

Give a try to this place, is not big, is more a familiar site than for friends or a savage party, but really a great experience of food and service, I just wish to this place a long life! I'll be looking forward to my next visit!
It was ok. I'm really not a buffet fan because of cross contamination. I've gotten really sick eating at buffets but well see. It's still early.

The place is small and the music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other from across the table. The dinner buffet offerings weren't labeled and were cold. I tried three different desserts and even they were bad, I couldn't finish them. Never again.

There will always be a space in my heart for Antolina. When I sit here my mind becomes shrouded in memories. All of them superb in every way.
The salsas are intriguingly delicious, the mezcales are as good as you'd expect, the depth of research invested in every single dish is commendable, the outrageously fresh quality of the ingredients, the location convenient and the simple approach towards a proper service cannot go unnoticed. Also, it's Oaxacan cuisine, so anyone else in the area is already at a disadvantage.
I've brought an array of blue ribbon skeptics here and without any exceptions all found themselves in utter states of discombobulation after tasting just a few items. I will continue to knock myself out here until I can no longer do so.
My favorite special as of now is the ant eggs with bone marrow (with serrano and acuyo salsa in a taco in my mouth.)Yum.
Very kind service and tasty meals.
Nice country side of Mexico to visit with good restaurant.
Food was good service was good. Hostess chewed gum while seating customers, very rude. But would return

Variety buffet, Mexican cousine options from all states available. You'll find varied meat and seafood options traditional Mexican cuisine combined with Nueva España kind of dishes. I have often found soup Veracruz style (south) next to Meat broth (northern style). Chile en Nogada is always there.
