We’ve been to the location on Kenaston, and loved it, so this was our first visit to this location.
We went at 6pm on a Friday and it was pretty quiet inside, but there were a steady stream of delivery drivers, which speaks to the places popularity, despite the quiet dining room.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and happy to provide recommendations if you’re unsure of anything.
The food is delicious! The yam fries are the amazing kind with a little breading, and the dipping sauces are tasty. The chips are quite crispy and go well with the sauces.
We ordered 4 burgers, and some of the buns were a little dried out, but not all of them. That didn’t take away from the meal too much, but was a little disappointing.
Overall, a nice little place with excellent food and friendly staff.

I got the build your own burger. Nice whole wheat bun. The burger patty was amazing. It was juicy and cooked to perfection. Toppings were great too! Fries were crispy and hot.
Only gave four stars for atmosphere because seating was uncomfortable with hard chairs and it was loud and lots of people in the eating area - ya it’s a tourist spot and school trip spot and that’s just how it is.
Had a great lunch and everyone enjoyed their food.

I ordered the vedge burger with yam fries. They were absolutely delicious. Customer service was very pleasant. Perfect for a birthday treat to myself. Thank you for acknowledging my birthday with the note and treat, the smallest gesture shows a kindest heart. Cheers

I absolutely loved my Tropic Thunder Burger! I was really excited to try a burger with a slice of pineapple on it and it did not disappoint! The burst of sweet and tangy flavour from the pineapple complimented the chicken and caramelized bacon really well. The bun was incredible - it was so soft and melted in my mouth. Fries were decent but nothing special. Service was quick and efficient and the staff I interacted with were friendly. Meal was a bit pricy ($20) but so is everything else these days. However, it is something to consider if you are interested in trying this restaurant. 10/10 👍🏻

Went here for the first time today. Owner was very friendly, helpful and did really well with a complicated order/bill split from memory. Loved the big double cheeseburger and home-cut fries! Few would be left wanting after that combination. My kind of place! Will definitely go back.

I love the food here, I always try to come every other time I’m in the city. I was a regular with my uncle growing up. Called and placed an order, chilli burger and fries with a drink. It was ready in less than 10 minutes! I also love their chilli fries 🤤 I’ll be getting them next time

Fun burger spot.
Got the gluten free burger, but personally I didn’t care much for the bun. It wasn’t really a bun at all. Almost like 2 soft taco shells put together with a meat patty.

Other than the bun meat quality was great! Nice juicy burger. Sweet potatoes are a must with your order.

Good food better prices and great staff

Been going here for 20+ years. One of my favorite places to order take out from. They have the best chili cheese fries in town. Only downside is recently closer to closing time they stop answering the phone. Rather disappointing but the food makes up for it.

First, at 9:32 p.m. I was told they are "actually closing right away". Then annoyed, he allows me to order since I can be there in 10 mins. I order a large fries, a double mushroom burger, a cheeseburger well done, gravy and a chicken gyro..so over $40 with the tip (which i shouldn't have given him, seeing as he was not wanting me to even place my order!!!). Anyhow, the fries...were old, cold, and tiny little pieces, not one was longer than 3 inches long! And weren't even to the top of the tiny, tiny, tiny little brown bag!!! $6.50 plus tax and my 4 yr old grandson ate most of them himself..im serious! None left for my husband or myself! So now we have this yummy gravy with no fries! We usually get so many fries that ordering 1 large is plenty for the two of us, nope! I wonder how small the small size is...I actually don't think there's a smaller bag than this one! Burger wasn't well done either. I am just so disappointed 😞, I've eaten here for many, many years, my kids even worked here as children!!! Haven't even tried my gyro yet...I'm making a salad to go with it, from the fridge!! Anyhow, lesson learned..? Don't order before close..? Stupid, when it's on my way home from work! I also drove past many burger joints, including the new George's burgers on mcphillips, 2 Juniors restaurants, 5 guys, and many more, because my family enjoys the food, and we like to support the owner of a local st. James restaurant..we can't afford to eat out as often as we used to, so this really sucks! Def wasn't worth the $, or the frustration!

Good fries. Good chili. Huge burgers, and super affordable too, fed the whole family for 50$

Food was great. The burger was delicious. They have just a few options on the menu, which for burgers is great. Keep it simple. I ordered the one with mushrooms and it was top notch. Flavour on the meat was great. A tiny bit less grease and it would be great for me. My wife ate a regular one and her complaint is that it was slightly hard to eat it handheld given its size. There are some parking spots on the back and some tables outside. A couple tables inside but a very very small spot.

A fast food place with an old fashion diner aesthetic! Great food, portions are huge, and a low to average wait! I had a single mushroom burger, it was amazing, I could barely finish half in one sitting! The poutine with cheese curds is really good as well, my partner had a deluxe double cheese burger and would absolutely get it again! 10/10 highly recommended this place for takeout!

I ordered the Fat Boy Burger and it actually had some spice to it. Not too much. Just the right amount. The bun was a little tough at the edges. A few more vegetables would balance the flavor. With that said for the price I paid, the burger was better than I expected.

More than reasonable cost, filling, and decent taste. Recommended for sure.

A great place to explore local food in summer. Food is nice, the outside place is a wonderful place to enjoy the summer! If the big umbrella can be adjusted to bring more shade it would help us finish the whole box of pudding.

A nice hidden little gem

The Burger Place came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Friendly and efficient staff, but the star of the show are the burgers and fries (and chili). They rank right up there with the best in the city - which is not easy in a town filled with quality burger options! I wouldn't hesitate to go back when next in town.

One of my favorite places to go I swear, this lil corner restaurant is what makes the westend do-able. These ppl r just the sweetest that own the place...mom n pops good job thanks for serving us n putting up with our havoc at times

They make their own canned drinks, the iced tea was not great Arnold Palmer was spot on to my taste.

Expensive adventures friends.

The Burger Place has been around for ages. The burgers are pretty good, though somewhat large and greasy. They tend to put chili on a lot of things (optional) so if you’re into having chili on your burgers and fries, this place is right up your alley. This restaurant did a number of interior and exterior renovations about a year or two ago so it looks more updated. They’ve kept a number of retro Coca-Cola, Canada Dry, etc. pictures and memorabilia which adds a nice charm.
