My favorite theater ever! ran and curated by a team of people who are truly passionate in the art of film/cinema. occasionally they'll have actual directors at their screening for a q&a. the community is amazing and being in a room with fellow film lovers is so amazing. right across from books & books too so after your movie you can head over and check out some books or even a live performance!! one of my favorite spots.

Movie theater is quite modern and great price for what it is. It feels more private as they are smaller theaters. Walking in there was no air conditioning in the lobby where one would order food and drinks to then take inside. When we went to order food and soft drinks we were told no frozen drinks were available nor any soft drinks. We got waters and ordered food. Food was mid. Not terrible but not great for its price point. Drinks at the bar were decent and bartender was really nice and welcoming. Had ideas on what to order if you were unsure. The actual movie theater was cool and refreshing so that was a good point. Seats don’t recline which is odd but I’m assuming it’s to save space. Overall, probably be back but hoping some things get fixed.

I’ve very much enjoyed having this theater in Coral Gables, but it seems to have fewer and fewer new movies and more and more movies one can see on television. I’m willing to take the not very comfortable seats to see things I couldn’t see anywhere else. “Other People’s Children” and “Driving Madeleine” were standouts this past year.

Attendant Ran back to the kitchen laughing after an additional minute waiting for someone to come out, I looked in and their was at least 5 employees standing around laughing. I think they had probably eaten the hotdogs themselves. They refused to refund me the money. And the manager was more worried that I raised my voice at the staff than the horrible service rendered. The manager actually used the F word towards me. Can’t expect much of a team led by someone like this.

So glad to discover this art cinema and handy parking garage next door. Very quaint and also friendly staff. Plus the movie selection is great for a more thinking audience.

My recent experience at the Bill Cosford Cinema theater, Coral Gables with my customers and Meetup group, it was a blast! The cinema is spacious and has such a great vibe. It brought back memories of my university days, especially with all the university students around us. They have some fantastic events lined up, so I highly recommend checking out their online calendar. It's definitely worth paying for the experience of being part of the university community and participating in their events. Can't wait to go again!

The movie theater is very nice, sleek, and smaller compared to others. The seats are very comfortable. It would be perfect if they could recline, but I understand they don't because the space is limited. Also, the bathrooms are too close together, causing congestion in the hallway. Finally, during the previews, I kept thinking at the start of the film that the movie would stretch to fit the screen it didn't. It was awkward. However, it's a nice theater it still has the new theater smell.

Intimate, cozy and comfy too, in one of the most beautiful campuses in So. Florida, the Cosford is home to great films for decades. I love Coral Gables for the landscaping but UM campus is out of the park gorgeous. Cheers!

This is usually my favorite movie theater in Miami. Yesterday I was completely disappointed. Me and my friend went to see the eras tour movie and a full row of girls behind me were screaming for most of the movie, kicking peoples seats and pointing their camera flashes right at my face. Someone in my row complained with one of the workers and they barely did anything. I made a second complaint and still they couldn’t handle the situation. We payed to listen to Taylor Swift singing and we couldn’t hear anything but screams from behind us. Normal singing and dancing is fine, this was much more than that, completely ruined the movie. People need to learn to be mindful of other people at a movie theater and the staff needs to do a better job at making it a pleasant experience for everyone.

Terrific old school movie theater. Has Dolby, 7.1 surround and a 4K digital projector. They find place to watch movies with people who appreciate it.

We had a wonderful time watching the miracle movie. I was a panelist for a lecture afterwards on miracles and various fa traditions that was also sponsored by Florida international university. The staff wa's very helpful. We had a wonderful time. And it's a beautiful venue for watching movies enjoying. And I ejoyed connecting with family and friends. Highly recommended!

It was such a great experience to go in opening day for the Barbie movie. The employees there were all dressed in something pink. One was dressed as Ken. I loved how they helped me feel so welcomed into their theater and how happy they were. ❤️❤️

Excellent venue, FREE movie on a Saturday nite! With FREE snack (choc M&M's)!! Easy parking! Temperature was superb, not freezing unlike some movie theatres. Not crowded either. Was so good to see so many youngest attending an animated flick. Super friendly staff :♡ had a lovely evening!

Really nice movie theater. The theaters are smaller than other movie theaters, but the seats are super comfy. Only some theaters have recliner seats. You can buys your tickets ahead of time or use the kiosks. They have a bar and the popcorn was delicious. Friendly staff. Clean areas and mask required for some peolple. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Plenty to do after the movie in the shopping center.

Been here for a few special screenings. Definitely appreciate the choices in films like Police Story or the Cowboy Bebop movie. Last night we went to see my favorite film Godzilla (1954) ironically on my birthday. Made it a very special night for me. Love this theater.

9/4/21 - Descent theater to watch Shang Chi, never a crowd here… on this visit the bar was closed.

Small but descent sized movie theater in Merrick Park. It’s never crazy crowded either, we purchase our tickets online and choose our seats so we bypass the box office or kiosks on our visits. Theaters have always been clean and there aren’t too many kids either talking through movies. Seats recline and are comfortable to sit in. Never purchased food here but the concession stand has always been clean. They also have a bar which adds a nice touch.

This is a hidden gem for independent and foreign movie lovers. The cinema is located in the UM campus with ample parking space. Might not have reclining seats and all that fancy stuff but it's worth every penny.

Edit: Parking used to be free, but the "if you can charge for something, do it" mentality stepped in.

Super awesome experience highly recommend you go and enjoy an evening of relaxation, entertainment. I truly love this cinema

Cozy theater in the UM campus. I mainly saw older folks and I'm not particularly sure if that's the norm there since I'm a youngster. Personally, the theater's curved screen or odd edge filter nauseated me. It may be just me since I sat there for approximately 6 or 7 hours, but even after 1 movie I started feeling the effects of the filter. It's still a good theater though with a really big screen. There is a vending machine outside for snacks and you may take a stroll in the grassy UM area. Not far from the University train station either.

A very nice movie theater addition to the area! Located in the beautiful shops of Merrick Park, the theater is on the third floor. It includes a very cozy bar where you can sit and have a drink while waiting for your movie or right after. There are plenty of snack options at the concessions stand. In general it was very clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I visited auditorium 4 and the screen seemed a bit small for my taste (this is my only complaint). The reclinable seats are very comfy and the surround sound was pretty good.
My advice is come to this theater to watch movies that don’t have a lot of special effects, since the small screen won’t let you fully enjoy that type of movie.

Very nice place to watch special movies. Not an ordinary movie outing. Friendly staff and detail. Parking on site and many places to go to for drinks or food before or after the movie close by. Snack bar with wine and beer on site. Will return many times!

My wife and I were proud members and even sponsored an After Hours film. Looking at the schedule now, "The Iron Giant" is relegated to 11 AM kids showings. The only showing of "The Third Man" is at noon on a Sunday and an After Hours slot is wasted with "Fifty Shades of Grey"?!?! This theater, like the rest of the Gables, is turning into hot garbage.

Free for students on campus which is awesome.
Very clean and good experience overall.
On the other hand, malfunctions of the equipment can happen and the movie night will be canceled. However, it's free so really no complains.
