I went to see the Color Purple on today to relax after having a baby. However during the movie I notice something run pass. I looked again and it was a mice coming extremely close. Thereafter I notice more mice running the steps. I asked for the manager he was extremely polite and seem concerned. He offered me two passes. However DON’T GO HERE! It’s mice infested.
The movie and chairs in the theater were excellent. I recommend the reclining seats. And the location is great for dinner or other activities before or after the movie. However, we booked our ticket through the Regal app and there was significant confusion amongst viewers about where we were meant to sit based on information in the app.We did not receive helpful guidance from the theater when we asked a staff member about the conflicting information.

This theater is very clean. I love the decor. My popcorn was hot and the staff was very friendly. I’ll be back!

Nice place to watch movies. Clean and kid friendly, smack dab in the heart of silver spring downtown. They have concession stands, arcade games to keep your family otherwise occupied, and self checkin ticket booths. ** The air conditioning was not running in theater 14 today**. You can also pre purchase tickets off the fandango app, no alcohol served here, staff were friendly, downtown has your "usual suspect" businesses, and a skating ring right opposite the movie theater.
The AFI is one of my favorite movie spots. They always have a solid line up of indie movies, award winners, and film festivals all year round. They also have a cute concession stand where they sell wine, beer, and other foods. (Nice bathroom, iykyk)
This is an amazing and beautiful cinema close to DC. Their selection of films is great if you’re interested in something beyond blockbusters. I’m a big fan of the Latin American Film Festival that takes place every year, and in general they show great foreign movies. The screening rooms are big and seats are comfortable (but not like the new recliners). Their wine selection is also great.
Love the AFI Theatre - like stepping back in time. Have seen movies with my family members and enjoyed it each time. Great film selections. The four stars regards some glitches with the free membership program. Otherwise it's wonderful!
I'm giving this theater 4 out of 5 stars only because they should invest in more comfortable seats. Excellent movies and documentaries are shown at the theater 🎥. Whoever owns this theater should come and see the seats themselves. Very uncomfortable seating. Everything else was Excellent experience.
Best movie theater around for seeing classic films and smaller releases. Great location/building and a friendly staff. It’s a gem.
AFI Silver has comfortable seats and a nice lobby with freshly made popcorn. The theater also offers a good selection of beer and wine. In addition to popcorn, you can also purchase salads, sandwiches, and hotdogs. There is also a generous selection of snacks. A large parking garage is just two blocks away.
Quaint, clean theater in the heart of Silver Spring! We watched CatsVideoFest 2023 this afternoon and enjoyed the experience.

Restrooms were adequate, staff seemed friendly and the theater seats were nice. They weren't the big, comfy recliners in larger/newer theaters but they were comfortable and clean.

Parking garage was available right off Fenton Street about a block from the theater. Also very close to The Fillmore for musical events. Be prepared to have homeless people ask for money outside the garage (it's the city). Parking garage was $2.50 for two hours and you can use the kiosk or pay by phone.

I never been to this theater. It was so nice and clean. Minus the bathroom. Went to see Barbie. Loved the king seats and they recline and people can still walk by. #winning. Now if we can get some mimosas popping!!!

$10 for a large bucket of popcorn is wild to me. Geez. At least it tastes good. Soda fountain machine does not have a water option. You have to go find a water fountain in the theater. I will say it’s clean. And surprisingly empty for a Saturday last afternoon. I parked at the courtyard Marriott underground garage. Parking was free since it was the weekend. The walk isn’t fully covered when you walk towards the theater. So I got soaked in rain today (to be expected).

No frills!

It's just your basic neighborhood movie theater. It's never packed in here. Concession stand staff give you the bare minimum customer service. Bathrooms are typically dirty, but the theater itself is usually clean and the recliner seats are super comfortable.

This by far is one of the best theaters I’ve ever visited, escalators up and down, video game area to pass the time, concession with friendly workers and a sitting area with tables to eat or hangout with people.
A beautiful old-fashioned cinema renovated just like new, comfortable seats and excellent screen view. They show nice movies. Was there for the Latin American Film Festival, to watch the Uruguayan movie The Employer and The Employee. Excellent experience. Totality recommended visiting! 👌
