Such an under rated place. Very friendly staffs, grew view from the top, finger foods are very tasty, just a lovely place to hang out.

An ancient church elegantly presented in Darwinian architectural style. I think it will be more beautiful in summer.

A fantastic place to host events. It's quite big with easy access by public transport. It has two stories so you can break the event in different parts and levels.

Pleasant place to go. On Fridays and Saturdays they are a restaurante and at around 23h they remove the tables and turn it into a club with DJ. Price is lower than I thought for a hotel rooftop. I liked the most as this is definitely better than an everyday place and yet not formal. I recomendo making the reservation for the side areas (with a nice view) if you are going for drinks only.

Beautiful venue for events, high ceilings. I was there at a Fashion show. Don’t know if it is generally open but for rent for events must be great.

A restaurant where you can feel a touch of Dutch cuisine yet not too home-meal.
bitterballen was so so fish of the day was very good. Steak is good but you know, just normal steak. Balcony was open for smoking and to see the view but from your table there’s not much of a view you can see.
There were some glitches in service, for example I went washroom while waiting my friend, and they let other customers to seat on my table. It was pretty awkward. Also I ordered a wine with screw top. They didn’t bother to open or offer the tasting. Vibe was casual and easy going, which fit me very well. Fellow customers were not too young and overall gentle and nice.

Great location, helpful staff and really nice restaurant/bar with vegan friendly options. Rooms are basic but clean and beautiful. There aren't any additional amenities in the hotel but I guess you don't want to stay in the hotel too much anyway when you are right in the center of lively Amsterdam.

The restaurant has improved quite much since the past 6 months. The food is quite varied and savory, the service is attentive, and the cocktails are quite creative and are some of the best ones I’ve had in Amsterdam. Additionally, the place has a great view of the south and east part of the city, which makes for a beautiful atmosphere.

As for recommendations here is what I would encourage you to try:
1. The Japanese Gin Fizz is out of this world and my all time favorite.
2. The bitterballen are delicious and are made with good quality ingredients.
3. The roast beef bread was so fresh and the flavor combination adds so much to the dish, however I do have to say that I prefer the bread to be warm.
5. The roasted pumpkin salad is quite refreshing, nevertheless I do think that it tastes better if some salt is added and it would perhaps be more savory with some balsamic or honey as dressing.
6. The white chocolate cheesecake is the only way to properly finish off the meal as it is creamy and savory.

As a final note, I do have to mention that the service attention decreases as lunch hours are ending so I would recommend you to consider going before 15:30 for attentive and quick service. Nevertheless, there is always personnel around that can help you with anything you need.
The theatre is easy to reach, by bus but even a walk from central station is not a bad idea.
It's a good looking theatr with relatively good seats. The leg room however is a bit to less. Most planes do offer more leg room.
Everything about my stay was wonderful. Excellent area away from the noice of the city but close enough to be in the middle of everything. Cool, hip, and definitely recommended to anyone looking for a mix of class and luxury.

Nice Hotel with a very cool vibe. The service was lovely. The 2 level room takes getting used to (perhaps difficult for less mobile people). Otherwise really nice. The breakfast buffet is ok (22euros). Very busy at night due to multiple halls being rented out for events. However, you cant hear any of the noise in the room.

I had the pleasure of working with Tobacco Theater recently as they were our chosen venue for a brand event. The team were super lovely, helpful & kept up great communication throughout the planning process. They were also very accomodating & highly organised when we arrived on site to set up, which eased our mind we were in 'safe hands' and we could relax knowing the venue would do a great job, and therefore keep our client & guests happy. We even received a lovely gift & hand written note from the venue at the end of the day which was very thoughtful. Thanks so much to all of the team & staff!! Really hope to work together soon :)

The Zuiderkerk, or South Church, is a historic church located in the southern part of the city center of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Here are some key points about the Zuiderkerk:

1. **Architectural Significance:** The Zuiderkerk is one of Amsterdam's most distinctive churches, known for its Renaissance-style architecture. It was designed by the renowned Dutch architect Hendrick de Keyser.

2. **Construction:** The church was constructed between 1603 and 1611. Its tower, which offers panoramic views of Amsterdam, was added later in 1614.

3. **Function:** Originally built as a Protestant church, the Zuiderkerk served as a place of worship for the local community.

4. **Interior and Art:** The interior of the church features a classic Dutch Protestant design. Notable artworks, including an organ built by renowned organ builder Christian Vater, contribute to the church's cultural and historical significance.

5. **Location:** The Zuiderkerk is situated in the Nieuwmarkt area, near the Amstel River and within walking distance of popular Amsterdam attractions.

6. **Cultural Events:** Today, the Zuiderkerk is no longer used as a church for regular services. However, it is often used for cultural events, concerts, and exhibitions. I myself went to an Ukranian Concert

We stayed here for four nights and had a lovely visit. The hotel has alot of character due to its long history but its also been modernised and looks beautiful inside. Staff were friendly and helpful during our stay too!

The location is great if you don't want to be right in the thick of Central Amsterdam. There's a lovely park right outside and travel via tram into Central is close by and only a short ride.

The only negatives we had were the booking isn't very clear that you have to pay a €50 deposit per night of your stay and a city tax on top of that. So just be aware of that when making a booking!

Our only other negative was the room we booked was a double bed but the bed was actually two singles pushed together and they would slide apart from each other.
I dined with three friends at The Hoxton in Amsterdam and encountered the worst service in my 10 years here. Initially, it was decent, but after our server's shift ended, everything went downhill. Plates lingered after the main course, no one offered more drinks, and our four desserts were never delivered. Despite three requests to collect dishes, the waiter was arrogant, insisting it wasn't his responsibility. After an hour of waiting, we left, anticipating a dessert delay. A terrible experience—I'd recommend avoiding this restaurant.

Excellent service from the staff. Had to move room because of ‘plumbing’ noises at night but very comfortable room and we were moved without issue. A little further from the centre than we would ideally have liked but getting trams around was no problem.

Nice event venue, not too big but it was perfect for an intimate event we attended.

It's a 5-7min walk from the Central station, close to a lot of touristy things to do in Amsterdam, plenty of places to eat outside.

The interiors itself are very nice, the halls are quite spacious and well maintained. My only complaint was that one of the stairwell to the toilets below was too narrow, the steps. You have to get up and down very carefully and side ways (I find narrow steps to be quite common in Amsterdam)

Stayed here recently when visiting Amsterdam for the first time, I don't think I'd want to stay anywhere else 😊

Location is great, there are two tram stops about 8/11 mins away so you can get to everywhere easily, which is great when you're a tourist. The park the hotel faces is also beautiful.

The building itself is stunning but eery, but don't let that put you off as nothing supernatural happened to us 🤣 beds were super comfy and really appreciated that each time our room was serviced they gave us free water and new coffee pods 😊

Had a team event here for work. Everything was super well organized, the room was bright and had everything we needed including drinks in the fridge and coffee served by staff. Lunch was a simple soup, sandwich, salad and dessert, all of which was really tasty.

I would come here again for a workshop, but also just to eat or for a day of remote working alone. Definitely recommend.

Great place with a great view.

The service was good, just took more time than I would expect, and the food is the best part. It was awesome.

It's not the fancy place with small portions of strange food. It's great, and have some local dishes also.
The drinks were a bit expensive but I guess they are in the entire city.

Both my partner and I have had our birthdays here in the last year and each time we've been treated exceptionally.

The food and cocktails are wonderful and the team ensure an amazing experience, being friendly, attentive and engaging.

Needless to say I was very impressed with the staff after the way they handled our two birthdays.

We'll come back for sure.
Came 2 different days (lunch and dinner)! Fries are a must. Try the club chicken sandwich, burger, focaccia burrata. You can’t go wrong. Great place, great service
You may get walking tour of the city from here

I had a fantastic experience at this bar and restaurant! Let me start with the cocktails – they were not just good; they were outstanding, and that spicy one was a real standout! The food was equally impressive, bursting with delicious flavors that left my taste buds dancing.

The atmosphere is a perfect blend of cozy and chic, making it an ideal spot for a night out. Now, onto the service – it was truly top-notch. The staff was not only polite but also incredibly quick to attend to our needs, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable.
I recommend giving this place a try; you won't be disappointed!

I had a lovely stay here. I was visiting my daughter, who is at University, for the weekend and the location was perfect: quiet but still only a short stroll into the city centre.
The room was spotless and I was welcomed with a free drinks voucher as I'd been randomly selected as 'guest of the day' which I thought was a lovely touch.
I will definitely be using this hotel again.

Just an amazing hotel full of energy. Great staff. Avoid rooms 409 and 509 though, one has steps down to the bathroom the other very low ceilings. Room service breakfast was great except the fruit plate. They were nice to let us change rooms to a much nicer one. Location is incredible absolutely perfect.

Amazing stay at this hotel. We had a room on the second floor with a great view of the canal. Front desk staff were super friendly. The room was basic but comfortable with a very nice bathroom. There is a restaurant at this hotel which seems to be very popular and busy. We did not try the restaurant. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the central train station. Less than 10 minutes to Ann Frank House and central to many great restaurants and cafes. We will definitely stay here again.

Food (the beef ‘smash’ burger) was decent, but didn’t blow my mind. For 19 euro’s, I’m sure you can come up with a more creative salad, better fries and in general a better burger. Unsure whether you’re smashing your patties at all (not that I care but if you advertise it as a smash burger, smash that thang)

Great spot! Went here for a work event. Very well organised. Lots of opportunities to facilitate a great day.
Such a wonderful place!! Was there once on a concert. A bit too far from central if you want to go by foot, but it won’t take you more that 30 mins.
The inside looks amazing and ordinary prices at the bar with a very friendly staff!
I have just spent three of the most enjoyable days at the Waldorf Astoria, Amsterdam. While the hotel itself was impeccable, the room spacious, comfortable and spotless, it was the people who made our stay outstanding!

Every person representing the hotel did so with the most pleasant, helpful and welcoming approach . No request was too big or too little. Each person made you feel like you were the only guest in a private house.

Nice nightclub which is open every night. We went on a Wednesday and there were a still good amount of people. The security guys are very nice and had a good laugh with them as well. Would recommend
Incredibly beautiful property well-situated in old Amsterdam and along a canal. Staff is beyond attentive and professional. Checking in started the experience with water and house-made chocolates. Once checked in, they showed us around the property and gave us a little history around the original buildings. Our room was lovely and well appointed-modern yet elegant. We had breakfast and drinks at the hotel. Both highly recommend. My only reason for not giving five stars was the vastly different experience on Monday and Tuesdays. They close their bar on those two days so they cannot provide any drinks other than wine which I find at this price point for a hotel ridiculous. Also, while they were showing us the gardens they told us how beautiful they were to walk, but wouldn’t allow us to bring cocktails out there to sit and enjoy the weather. The only place to have a glass of wine was their main lobby on Monday and Tuesday yet they did not provide any live music or their afternoon tea experience as they did on the weekends. Frustrating they had the same price point for other days yet shorted our experience because we stayed early in the week. For this level of hotel I would expect a consistent daily experience!

We took the VIP table, we paid €850 for 11 persons. Service was excellent, superb club with high security, amazing atmosphere and cool DJ, he played some oldies and new remixes which was great to dance too. Love it cause it’s smoke free. Worth it for a night out!

Entry during weekdays 12,50€ for men. Toilet 1€ per visit. Locker 5€ but you can share with up to 4 people depending on how thick the coats are.
The music was too loud. On Tuesday it hit 107 db very often. I recommend ear plugs, you can buy them there for 4€.
Very high price, great overall but a little disappointing.
It was my first time staying at a Waldorf Astoria. Everything was top quality, everyone was super friendly, the bed, the room was world class.
However, I was expecting more offerings, for example complementary snacks and fruits, actually, maybe an executive lounge. Nothing to complain. Just thought to receive more with the price tag.

The vibe was good for a Wednesday night. The only thing is you don't get a both when you buy a bottle . Not even a place to sit. I like the fact that even bar drinks are served in glasses. That's classy compared to the West. The Venue is great, spacious and the DJ wasn't bad.

Absolutely a special experience! You will remember your stay, and plot your return.

It’s the little things! I feel like every micro-experience is designed to make you feel like the most important person in the world. The thing that stuck out the most was that every single person seemed to know my name and greeted me warmly, even though I had never seen them before

The venue says it's wheelchair accessible but let me tell you as a person in a wheelchair myself, it's barely minimum wheelchair accessible. The people in charge of the door and or security didn't know to tell me how to access the building in a more easier way other than, go down the service alley and then finagle my chair over a very precarious part of the alley onto the buildings walkway around to the entrance. If a wheelchair gets that part in a wrong angle, one can get a bend in the wheel or even a broken wheel. Once inside, it really isn't anything special for us in a wheelchair. Yes, there are WC for us and a lift to get us upstairs, but the seating and they way it's set up isn't made for anyone in a wheelchair, it's just an afterthought. 1 or 2 chairs removed from row 6 on either side, is the only thing I personally saw. 1 chair at the beginning of row 6 was the only thing I saw. You wouldn't be able to get a full row of wheelchair individuals. I was even "in the way" and was told to keep adjusting to accommodate the other 30-40 people that just kept coming and going. I was the one who got kicked several times just so some people could get into their seats. So .. wheelchair accessible? Are you still going for that? You haven't convinced me, not 1 bit.
Rooms are great, very clean. Front desk staff is super nice. Location is perfect.

I’ve actually stayed here twice (once in 2018 and once in 2023) they used to have a small indoor/outdoor space for guests which was great if you wanted to sit and have a drink not in your room because the rooms don’t have balconies. They still advertise this extensively on their website, (tons of photos of it) but they won’t actually let you in it anymore. We were told several times that it is only available to rent out for group events although it was sitting empty. So the only downside I could list is there is nowhere to sit and hang out if you aren’t in your room. If you want to hang out not in your room you are forced to go their restaurant.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location is lovely. Here are the pros and cons of this hotel...
PROS: beautiful hotel, calm location, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, the hotel is relatively central and not too crowded. The service was good and the staff helpful. Brekky was included and was okay with relative variety.
CONS: The bed was particularly uncomfortable with a mattress topper that wasn't attached and therefore moved during the night. I was left with a back ache. The blinds didn't fully close, which let the light in early in the morning from 4am. Overall I didn't think it was good value for money. Additionally I think information about extra taxes should be clearer from booking. It was clear there would be a charge, but not how much.

We stayed here for 2 nights in this lovely hotel. I really liked the feel and atmosphere of it. The woman who checked us in was very helpful. There are big lockers to store your luggage if you're early which was great, made it feel more secure instead of a random cupboard. Our room was really nice. It was a 'cosy room' on one level. No view but to be expected with the less expensive room type. It was beside one of the elevators so this could be heard during the night but didn't keep me awake unlike my husband who has difficulty getting to sleep anyway. The bar area was very nice next to the fire to celebrate with a drink for my birthday 😊
This hotel is so beautiful and well-located in Amsterdam. The signature scents and the turn-down service really make you feel pampered. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are incredibly caring. I think our favorite aspect is the spa and garden areas - which are so fancy and impeccably maintained (and there was no crowding even on a Saturday morning in August). If I had any feedback, it would be that we have a tough time getting through the epic breakfast tower and I wonder if there is a way to make it easier to customize/size the tower down. We were very happy on our second stay here. This is a lovely way to spend five days in Amsterdam and I hope we'll be back soon.

This is an old women’s psychiatric hospital, restored beautifully and located on the edge of a park. We stayed for two nights (a week apart) and both times got a “loft” room which has a tiny sitting area and bathroom on the main and a very good king sized bed upstairs. The stairs are treacherous so if you have any mobility issues (or get up frequently in the night) specify a room on one level. The breakfast was buffet style and excellent with lovely tables on the terrace facing the park. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but the one evening we went down for a drink, service was very slow. It’s a bit of a hike to walk to the main downtown area, but they have bikes you can rent very cheaply. All in all, would stay there again.
Don’t forget to get a custom drink made for you at the bar. The gentlemen running it were masterful mixologists, extremely passionate about creating unique experiences for their guests. We sat down for one drink, ended up staying for several. This was a highlight of our trip. Thank you.
Value for money and a good view also the best is visiting the museum next to it

Cons:
A bit hard time reading menu, but that’s ok as you can translate quickly
Service is slow.

High prices (9€ entrance, 5€ lock room and every jacket should be off, 9€ rum&cola), cheap qual (worst sound quality ever, miserable service).
If you have a basic taste for going out, avoid this place.
Good for rich students going out celebrations and picking up a partner for tonight — of you are aiming for that, than its good. Otherwise idk why it's 4+ rating ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The hotel is beautiful. The attention of the staff is very good. It should be 5 stars but we saw a rat walking while we were in the breakfast room and I am a rat phobe person and the hotel solved the situation with a little cake at the room to say sorry, I think is serious . Also the air conditioner of the room was not cooling properly . The rest was good!

Really lovely restaurant and location. Food was delicious (we had steak for 2) and drinks were reasonably priced. Service was slow-ish BUT it was super busy so would still recommend coming here for sure!

The view was also amazing, just a really chill spot to relax and what the sun go down over the city
Terrible. Asked and they said they'd be open until 18:00. Some friends came 15 minutes before I arrived. I got there at 17:30 and they said I couldn't have any hot drinks because they were already cleaning the coffee machine. No apologies, nothing. Though you shouldn't be surprised if you've been around these bands.

Funky and fun atmosphere and broad choices of menu items. Our server was so kind and energetic. Beautiful views of the city. The outdoor seating area is for people smoking and the door was open, so we did have exposure to second hand smoke. One odd thing - we ordered olives & nuts. They brought us a giant cup full of basic green olives and told us they were out of nuts. We would have preferred if they'd told us that so we could order something else.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the VIP area at one of the hottest nightclubs in Amsterdam, and I have to say that the service was absolutely incredible.

Special thanks to Patrick and Natasha, you made our evening perfect thanks to you we will remember this night forever.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff Patrick & Natasha who escorted us during our stay at the VIP area. The area was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a fantastic dance floor view. But what really stood out was the service.

The servers Patrick and Natasha were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and they went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. They were quick to refill drinks and offer suggestions.

The DJs & Mc great wonderful job!
The sax guy was amazing, they did an awesome job together, music set was modern and good!

Overall, I was blown away by the VIP experience at this nightclub. The service was exceptional, and it made for a night I will never forget. I would highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a great night out with fantastic service.

Natasha and Patrick, you are the best, thanks guys <3
Great experience overall. Was made to feel very welcome the second we stepped on the threshold of the property. Everyone was very friendly and informative, from the concierges to the waitresses.

The service was also exceptional and the best part of the whole stay.

If you're looking for a high-energy nightclub experience in Amsterdam, Escape is definitely worth checking out. Located in the Rembrandtplein area, this nightclub boasts a large dance floor, talented DJs, and a full bar with a variety of drinks to choose from. The VIP area provides a more exclusive experience, and the disco ball in the center of the club adds to the fun and lively atmosphere.

The music at Escape is a mix of different genres, from house and techno to pop and hip-hop, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. The club can get quite crowded on weekends, which adds to the excitement and energy of the place. The staff is friendly and professional, and the drinks are reasonably priced considering the location and ambiance of the club.

Overall, if you're in the mood for a night of dancing and partying, Escape is a great choice in Amsterdam. Just be prepared for a lively and energetic atmosphere, especially on weekends
I recently attended the KotlinConf conference at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, and I must say that the venue was absolutely fantastic! The conference rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the sound and lighting were top-notch.

What I particularly loved about Beurs van Berlage was its central location in the heart of Amsterdam, making it incredibly easy to get to from anywhere in the city. The building itself is also a true masterpiece of architecture, with its historic charm.

The staff at Beurs van Berlage were very friendly and helpful throughout the entire conference, and they did a great job of making sure that everything ran smoothly. The catering was also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious food and beverages to choose from.

Amazing conference venue!
Beurs van Verlage is conveniently located in the city center of Amsterdam, with the central station just a 2 minutes away.

The facilities are amazing and the building is just stunning. One of the room on top also had decorated glass windows.

Definitely one of the best conference venue I've been to!

The conference hosted their official dinner, although it was more of a set of appetizers. Food was ok, but did not blow my mind. Atmosphere was similar to a typical American sports bar. All was good, but I'm not sure I'd go back on my own. No knock on the place, it's just not my cup of tea, and not something I'd search out if I was a tourist in Amsterdam. It's also kinda hard to find, and need to walk through a creep underpass from the train station.

A good place to dance Salsa and Bachata in Amsterdam. The DJs are really amazing. They have great song selection. The only problem I have is that the Bachata room is small and it gets crowded which makes it really really hot all the time. They recently moved from their current relocation due to renovation of the building so I’m not sure if they’ve been able to secure a new location.

Long line to enter (~1h). You cannot consume any drink while you wait. Managers and security are stressed and do not handle well the situation. Me and my group lost more than 75 Euros in tickets. 🤔
One of a kind conference location. We rent the basement for our escape rooms with Sherlocked and I’ve seen the kinds of events they host here and have been blown away by the quality and scale of their productions. The picture is of a dinner setup they hosted last week. It looked stunning 🤩 Also added some pictures of the new adventure we’re working on in a space on the 2nd floor, The Alchemist :)

We went here Christmas @ Hillsong on 18th Dec 2022 and what an absolute amazing experience it was.

Such a large auditorium, we felt right at home and it was one wonderful experience.

It had to be special and spectacular, after all Hillsong is a name in itself and I would not have expected any less and I was not disappointed.

What an amazing afternoon of celebration of Jesus 's birth

Merry Christmas everyone !

We had a private event where we had so much fun. The place is suitable to host parties for the crowd.

Lovely quaint place. Very cool interior with lots of wood panels and flower pots. Work desks, board games and a fusball table hint that everyone is welcome. Best nachos I had in a while with solid amount of sauces, cheese and chicken for 15 euro. Waitress girl was cheerful and hospitable. Clean toilets with baby changing desk! I will recommend this cafe to friends and visit soon again.

The place was very beautiful, the design and atmosphere were wonderful wouldn't it be for the Café staff. They were very unfriendly, not polite and overall not professional.
I work in a Café myself and can understand that sometimes things are stressful but I am still buff by the overall unprofessional behavior of the staff.
Even spilled orange juice and didn't apologize. Where I come from this is not acceptable

The old church became a venue for conferences and concerts! Learning new things and visiting one of the oldest area of Amsterdam at the same time! This place is beautiful and huge to hold big conferences with a lot of attendees.
Located centrally in Amsterdam. We went for salsa dancing. When we arrived a woman was in the entrance. Super friendly and explained the hours and coat check in. Dancing was great. Music was amazing. The dj did an amazing job with music selection. I was able to enjoy the music but still have a conversion since it wasn't to loud. My ears were not ringing at the end of the night. Lights were good. I loved that they didn't move! Pricing was good for drinks. People were friendly. Overall a great night out!

Great location for conferences. Food is great and the staff is mostly nice (some foodchefs dont have an understanding that booth staff need to eat early before they have to work hard in the break). Its tricky to have a booth in the blackbox area. You cant make any sound during the sessions at your booth (even not talking).

The Zuiderkerk was the city's first church built specifically for Protestant services. It was constructed at the start of the 17th century.

The church had special meaning for the painter Rembrandt. Three of Rembrandt's children were buried in the Zuiderkerk and one of Rembrandt's most famous pupils, was buried in the Zuiderkerk in 1680.

Definitely worth the visit when going from the Nieuwmarkt to Waterlooplein Market
The place is amazing with great food. The staff was very helpful overall.

The one star less is mainly for super steep stairs (in case of person with disabilities) but otherwise the venue was just perfect with all the amenities!

If you are looking forward to host your event, do so without any second thoughts.
The restaurant looks very nice, and it's conveniently located in the museum.

The food is alright, portions are quite small. No vegan option but a couple of vegetarian ones.

A very wonderful place to visit ! The show inside is so vivid !
The show was projected on the cathedral's walls, and the storyline was really well told and designed, the show lasted for one hour and the number of people was limited so one can really sit and enjoy the show.

Nicely planned venue with a spacey balcony to enjoy the show away from the crowd. Decent sound and swift bartenders.

Their salads were very big and healthy, mainly leafs and veggies with yummy avocado sauce in the salmon salad. My partner had the chicken burgers and enjoyed them too. Friendly staff and it has a lot of space, would recommend for those who wants to work with their laptop here too.
De Tropen is a perfect spot for a coffee(meeting) in the morning, a delicious lunch or dinner. The interior is impressive and the terrace has a great view over the Oosterpark. It's very easy to access through station Muiderpoort if you are from out of town.

Awesome theater with a good center stage. 360° feel of the background screen is beautiful. It has a coffee bar, toilets, and a place to deposit your jackets and bags.
The location is perfect, the view is nice facing the sea. There is a little less frequency of public transport.
Great place for live music concerts, theater acts, corporate seminars/events.

Nice music venue in Amsterdam. The famous Red Light Jazz Festival was great this year. I believe they should promote more concerts there, especially blues/jazz.
Great quality but limited choices for coeliacs.

Just tucking into a very tasty sweet potato salad as I type...

I’ve popped in for lunch and was given an allergens menu but it didn’t match what was actually available on the menu and the gluten free choices for lunch were very limited. So I’d be careful if you have allergies; the wait staff are helpful but had to check what was possible.

In their defence the sandwiches can be made with gluten free bread but I’ve never been a fan of GF bread and suspect most coeliacs aren’t either!

Great location as part of the Tropical Centre and Tropenmuseum. Nice friendly atmosphere and helpful wait staff. Limited choices for me hence the three stars.

Great place for conferences, events and meetups. Beautiful atmosphere, professional and friendly staff and the details of the building itself are breathtaking.

Situated in the heart of Amsterdam the location provides everything the city centre is famous for at walking distance.

A great venue for salsa dancing, convenient city center location. Spacious hall for salsa, a smaller one for bachata. Good service at the bar, and a friendly crowd. Mandatory check in of coats and bags for 1 euro per item.
A restaurant worthy of it's own entrance at Tropenmuseum with well designed interior and outdoor seating. Menu offers enough choices to calm every tummy grumble, whether a 4-year old daughter or tired parent.

High quality salsa dancing and stunning women. You need to come prepared to impress. Most dancers are experienced and well trained in Salsa NY style. People are very friendly. Women will actually ask you out if you know how to dance and speak Dutch.
Very nice ambiance and attentive staff. Best seats are on the terrace.
