My now husband and I got married at the Sanctuary on 3/9/24 and I can not give the venue and staff enough praise. Wedgewood Weddings allow for customization and helpful guidance along the way to make the planning experience as seamless as possible. They truly think of EVERYTHING. We were so thankful to have both bridal and groom suites to allow us and our parties to get ready without rushing. The venue has 3 areas for wedding ceremony and reception, which is extremely convenient. We were really drawn to the vintage charm of the venue and the ease of working with a reputable company like Wedgewood. Big shout out to Sarah J and the rest of the team for making our dreams come true. I can't believe Sarah helped me put my veil on and bustled my dress. She is truly an angel. Our guests loved the oven roasted salmon & braised short rib duo plates.
We highly, highly recommend this venue!!!
I’ve not laughed so much as I did last night at the Long Beach Playhouse’s production of Ben Hur. It is a zany madcap slapstick comedy full of one liners, puns and silly nonsense lines. Hilarious set design and props including a calckity tiny Jesus-on-a-stick and chariots fashioned from desk chairs and cardboard. Don’t miss it, show closes tomorrow night, Saturday March 23 2024. And not a bad seat in this small community playhouse.
Great space for a wedding. It’s like a one stop shop! They redid the space and it’s simple and beautiful!
What a great show Saturday evening.
The theater is small and cozy and you can see and hear without trouble.
Wow they have a super playground... my grandkids were amazed. Well kept and clean...
Wedgewood Weddings has been around for generations, and for good reason. When I began planning for our wedding, I was overwhelmed with choices – choices I didn't even know I needed to concern myself with. Because of this, I knew from the get go that I would need an all-inclusive venue, but I didn't expect to find one with the flexibility, collaboration, and intention that Wedgewood provides for their couples.

I would recommend this company over and over again, and I can only sing the highest of praises for The Sanctuary in Long Beach as a venue and for the staff that works there. Thank you, truly, for the effort you put into coordinating an organized, beautiful wedding. We appreciate the attentiveness, were impressed by the execution, and grateful for the overall warmth and kindness of your staff to us and our loved ones.

I received SO many compliments about the whole day and how seamless everything was. I couldn't have done it without any of you! If we had the budget to have a second and third wedding, I'd do it all over again and I'd do it with Wedgewood. (Which, I hope speaks volumes to the quality of their service because I know many brides that definitely would not go through the wedding planning process ever again.)

I also wanted to extend a special thank you to our coordinator, Mason: Thank you for doing all you could to ensure an enjoyable experience. Not a single detail we discussed over all the months of planning was missed. You truly helped orchestrate the successful execution of my vision for the wedding, and I'm really glad you were there.

A lot of fun at a small, intimate venue where the audience can sit a few feet away from the performers. We enjoyed an Agatha Chistie, Hercule Poirot mystery.
Going with Wedgewood Weddings was the best decision we have made during the entire wedding planning process! The Sanctuary caught our eye, not only because it was close to home, but because it was unique and different from the generic Country Club/Golf Club venue. The stained glass windows in the Cathedral and the Reception Hall were so incredibly beautiful and unique. Everything just had a very rustic charm that we loved so much. We also loved the fact that everything was onsite and we had both outdoor and indoor elements. We loved having the entire venue to ourselves and didn’t have to share with any other people! We just fell in love with everything about the venue. It really felt like a private event. We did the venue tour with Annie and she was the biggest help and so lovely to work with! She was incredibly responsive the entire time and she made the planning process so easy and fun! She gave all the information we needed to make an informed decision which made it easy to choose The Sanctuary! On the day of the wedding, Olivia and the team were super warm and welcoming of us and our entire family/guests. My husband is still raving about how well they catered to us on the day of. They made sure that we always had a drink in our hands and something to munch on while we were taking pictures so we didn’t miss out on our cocktail hour appetizers. We wanted for nothing! The food was incredible and our guests absolutely loved it! There was enough for people to go back for seconds AND they even packed my husband and I a togo box at the end of the night! They were incredibly communicative the whole time with us. I never thought that a wedding could be so stress free! Thank you so much again to The Sanctuary Wedgewood Team for making it such an effortless process!

As I arrived to my appointment at the modern I was greeted by Abel we had just gotten in the elevator. The door hasn’t even been closed when I asked him if the rate was just for a flat doesn’t matter the number of yes and then he said yes, we were thinking about 70 guest and the venue was 9500 for 150. It stated on the email that I received from Abel so I wanted to question him if the price might’ve been a little bit cheaper if the guest count is lower he then said no then I immediately said well this might be a little bit too much for us , but right then and there he wanted to degrade me and my partner and by saying this isn’t the venue for you guys mind you we haven’t even looked around or anything like that he didn’t even try to sell us on the venue then he was being very disrespectful he wasn’t even The venue didn’t show us the venue when we were asking him questions about the venue he had his back to us looking out of the window them completely disengaged in the conversation did not want to explain to us the venue his body language is completely shut down as if he wanted to get us back in the elevator and leave And then, when I asked him who was his manager who was in charge of him he said he was the owner of the modern when I looked them up he’s a real estate agent and then he said he was on sales so I would definitely would not recommend anyone to go to this venue. This guy is just trying to make a bug he doesn’t care about anybody’s feelings. He doesn’t care about your special moment he doesn’t care about anything From my experience having to drive, thankfully not that far to see the venue I would not recommend this place whatsoever to anyone looking to have a great experience shopping around for their perfect wedding venue and I took videos and unfortunately I’m not gonna be able to post them, but I will keep for my records, and it is just very unfortunate that Abel Decided to treat us this way he was trying to escort us out of the venue didn’t want to deal with us because I simply said to my finance this might be to expensive he just stood around telling me I emailed you the listing price already like just not professional

I was on this dinner cruise New Year’s Eve 2023 and staff greeted me and my significant other with courtesy and a smile. After being given champagne and seated at a window while other guest were seated, my server came over and introduced herself. I’m a first timer with Hornblower and I guess I expected too much or was it? First off I want to say, all the servers were great and the food was good. But what I had a problem with was the DJ was stuck with his music catalog in the 60’s/70’s. Not one dance song was played that was current or even past the 90’s genre. I was talking to another guest who advised me that they made request but they were ignored. Come on city cruises, its a New Years Eve party not a geriatric party with somebody turning 80 years old. Myself and a few other couples were giving the DJ the benefit of the doubt that he would change the era of music he was playing, but it never happened. I guess in order to hear the music some guest wanted to dance to, you had to slip the DJ a little $$ on the side as what I saw. Paid a lot of money for this special night only to sit on the sidelines to music that was not dance music or something I could not dance too. The cruise was nice, but the DJ messed the whole vibe up for the night. First impression is the last impression. I surely will not be doing this again at least not with this company..
Awesome club! Good food and great variety of artists. I definitely going back and bringing more friends next time. 5 stars!!

What a lucky bride I am! The Modern was truly the most beautiful place for a wedding. My husband and I got married this past October and have a special place in our hearts for the staff here. Abel, Mary and her bar and catering team. We had a customized buffet menu and signature drinks for the bar which were phenomenal! Brides, please understand that there will always be minor hiccups in the wedding industry. You may feel anxious in the beginning because you have many questions and concerns, but trust me the staff care about you and will reach out. Abel is now the main venue contact so you are in good hands.

Thank you for your patience and kindness. Also, special thanks to the young lady at the bar with the glasses. She was on point with the drinks for our wedding. Much love to the whole team! You're family now.

My new favorite club! I love the layout and the workers were all nice.
The Sanctuary is a gorgeous venue for a wedding. The white-painted walls, elegant arches, and gorgeous stained glass throughout are a wonderful blend of style, elegance, class, and simplicity. We (and our guests) loved the ability to have distinct, on-site spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and the space has a nice flow to it. The courtyard is magical in the evening with the string lights and a quiet retreat from the boisterous dance floor for guests. The layout and construction of the venue also feel like a retreat or oasis tucked away right in the heart of Long Beach--it's another world past the gates. Dedicated, guarded parking on the same block is a huge plus!

My wife and I really valued the bundles and flexibility offered by Wedgewood. Wedding planning can be overwhelming with each small detail a potential infinity of research, options, and vendors. The Sanctuary allowed us to flexibly opt in and out of different packages, which dramatically simplified our planning process without feeling like we couldn't make the day personal to us. The options available, but also the possibility of changing our minds on details so close to the day of the wedding gave us much peace of mind.

However, what really sold us on the Sanctuary was Annie, who spearheaded our visit and experience from day one with support from Kevin and Sarah. Annie was bubbly, personable, and made us feel that we were in good, competent hands that cared about our day being wonderful and fitted to who we are and our love story. She, Kevin, and Sarah throughout were so welcoming, happy to see us, supportive, and available to answer our questions. It was surely Annie who sold us on the space, and then in collaboration with Kevin and Sarah kept us unworried and confident in the six months leading up to our big day and afterwards.

Olivia and Samantha did a phenomenal job as our day-of coordinator and banquet captain--neither my wife nor I had to take care of anything day-of--everything went so smoothly! And Fredy was a fantastic DJ. He gave us gentle nudges when we needed to start dancing before the photographers left, was kind and friendly throughout, and left the room for our private last dance, which was such a nice touch.

Our guests over and over had such lovely things to say about the venue, food, and staff.

Thank you so much for helping us make our special day so painless, beautiful, and, well, special.

The parking information was bad, and the cost of parking was more than stated. Enterance was hard to find.

But once you got there, nice spot. Bit narrow.
Waited in line for over 2 hours complete waste of time
"Rent" performance was great! All actors did an amazing job! Seats were comfortable & all seats had a clear view of the stage! We still prefer the first floor stage, but the upstairs play did not disappoint! Will continue to attend plays @ this venue!
Went to this convention center for ACI-NA. It was a great venue. Small in comparison to Los Angeles but it's still very nice. Great floor and rooms. The external paths are to each rooms have a very nice look and feel.
This place is really good and the people is so nice 😊

Real Ones Get together, ain't no fun like this one!
Private concert. Got to see my favorite artist with out the pushing and shoving at other places. Strict Security made my group feel VIP. Worth the money, love the scene and set up. Cant wait to try the restaurant when it opens.

I recently got married at The Modern this past September and it was the wedding of my dreams! The Modern was the second venue we visited and we couldn’t stop thinking about it during our search. We loved the chic, modern feel of the space. The white blank canvas along with bright greenery made the space the perfect place where my vision can come alive. The venue comfortably accommodated 130 guests and was perfect for a smaller wedding. The venue had a lot of floating shelves which I loved because it made it easier for decorating and designing the area. The chandeliers and the grand entrance with the stairway made it a really unique space that fit our vibe.

We went through a few venue coordinators throughout the process, however, when Abel (the current coordinator) took over, the communication became very stable! We really enjoyed working with him. He was very attentive and easy to work with!

We did have a few hurdles towards the beginning with inconsistent communication and/lack of follow ups. However, communication improved towards the latter half with everyone involved as we approached 2-3 months prior to our wedding day.

With this venue, we used The Modern’s bar/catering services. The Bar was a hit - we got many compliments on well the drinks were made. We also had our own customized drinks and a mocktail named after our dog. Many guests made the mocktail alcoholic which was such a good idea! Some of the food we selected for our dual buffet entree were a little dry the day of, however, many guests LOVED our late night snacks which were angus & chicken sliders with tater tots!

Overall we were so happy with your special day at The Modern!
The Sanctuary is gorgeous! I attended a corporate meeting here back at the beginning of August, and the space was stunning. We were situated in the grand hall for our meeting and with all of the recent renovations, it was a really chic and inviting space. The team was really accommodating and was quick to assist with any last-minute changes or requests that we had. My favorite part of the space was the chapel. It's gorgeous, and the pictures do not do it justice! Would highly recommend for any event.
I worked there for the Long Beach Expo, and the walk there and the atmosphere alone had me stress free during the event. The lavender daisys, the water falling with the pool reflecting the trees toward by the WESTIN BUILDING, gave a felt sense of appreciation, or gratitude just being there.

The picture of the balloons I took the first day of the event because It caught my attention, but I didn't know why yet. After a few days into the event, into the final day of the expo, I was sent to the information booth to grab a sky blue shirt. It then hit me, and I realized why I took the picture of the balloons. The colors of the balloons were the same colors as the shirts I was wearing, which was very thoughtful. I enjoyed working there, and I'm glad everyone and their friends & family enjoyed their weekend!
LONG BEACH CONVENTION CENTER is a modern convention center located in Long Beach, California. It is one of the most dynamic attractions off of Long Beach’s downtown waterfront with over 400K square feet of event space.

It’s my first time coming into LBCC to attend a Block Party hosted by Young LA company. It was a great partey! :D #parteyanimal

Plenty of parking garage around the convention. As well as restaurants. Overall, it’s one of the best convention centers in SoCal.
A sweet spot for a convention. Went during Collect-A-Con. Saw a lot of different vendors with amazing deals. A diverse group of people attended the convention, mainly for the Voice Actors and other special guests. We went for Chuck Norris but he cancelled last minute. Even without his attendance the show was cool in my book. Fun for the family and fans alike. The venue was large and spacious. Food drinks and ATM provide for additional support. Security and staff were extremely helpful. Had a blast at this Convention Center.
Gave 2 stars for the nice & comfortable seating. Otherwise, no food, drink options very limited, waitresses too way too long... even though there were soooo many of them. Geez....drinks took forever! And then kept coming to say, "we don't have that!" Atmosphere would have been okay if it wasn't so smoky inside. Dancefloor covered in smoke. Not our type of place. A hard pass.

Nice place to visit in Long Beach, California, Lots of shops, restaurants and bars to look through and eat/drink. Also you can listen to live music and rent a bike. We went at a weekend and it was absolutely packed with lots of people queueing and waiting for tables. Worth a visit, but aim for the quieter times to go.

Amazing time & weather here. Live band, lots of shops for gifts & amazing funnel cakes 😁 Classic car show was there on the weekend we visited 8/19/23
Went for a skincare trade show and found it to be a very nice venue. The location was clean and well maintained. The landscaping was professionally maintained. The restrooms were clean and well stocked with paper goods. There was a nearby parking garage that we paid $15 to park in. There was a limited food service available.
My husband and I were in Santa Monica for the weekend and ubered to Long Beach for a quick oat tour. Really enjoyed the ride and staff.
We attended a wedding here, beautifully restored historic church, catering served in the courtyard, the food was deliciously prepared with an abundance of choices. Off-street parking is conveniently located yards from the venue. The General Manager Kevin was sincerely accommodating, and the staff were friendly and professional.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

I FEEL TERRIBLE FOR ANYONE WHO PAYS MONEY TO GET MARRIED HERE!!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY PAID $1500 TO HAVE THEIR MAGICAL DAY HERE, TERRIBLE!!

First of all, This was an incredibly SMALL venue for ANYONE to hold a wedding, the General Manager Kevin Jones is very disorganized & spread waaay too thin, He is responsible for FAR too much to be capable of running the entire Venue successfully long-term.

They have multiple active violations within their kitchen,
Their walk-in refrigerator is broken, so they keep the inner freezer door open, which does not keep refrigerated food chilled at a safe temperature, OR frozen food at a sustainable temperature!!

Their warming carts are broken, and the floor drains in the kitchen are completely backed up, PUMPING BACKWATER ALL OVER THEIR KITCHEN FLOOR,
Disgusting!!!

Great place to spend the day or afternoon! Beautiful views, sea life, cute shops and plenty of places to get a tasty bite to eat!
Lots of fun things to do here lots of good food to eat and understand it's going to cost you a pretty penny because there's still a little bit overpriced from the bikes to the candy to the water in the soda machine! So many shops but no water to be found anywhere but a soda machine! A soda machine that took over $2 in quarters and decided to jam! Anyway it's a fun place and I suggest anyone visiting Long Beach check it out. They have a boat that takes you around the harbor here I believe they have some whale watching boats too they have sailboat classes teaching you how to sale and bikes you can ride around with three other family members or more! And don't forget Parker's lighthouse which is a place that many of us like to eat during the holidays
We were here for brickfest.. had fun seeing the different exhibits. Only complaint I had was there was no clear direction, or signage. Almost everyone was walking towards main entrance to convention center, then instructed to walk past the threatre and towards the pacific ballroom to hall C. I saw 2 men in crutches, and 1 woman with full leg brace making their way down the stairs and try to walk over there. The escalator and elevator were both out in front of the theater forcing them to endure the stairs. I know it's not brickfest fault..

I booked The Grey LB for my sorority's annual Finer Womanhood event. Veronica was extremely helpful with answering questions and providing tips that could help out with the event. We initially booked the courtyard area to have an evening event outdoors, however mother nature decided southern California needed extreme rain and lightening. Veronica was able to get us into the upstairs space and allow us extra time to shift our floor layout. I will say the main complaint is was the stairs, but with this being a historic venue it was easily explainable. I would book here again.
Really great place, take a walk, eat some junk, have lunch or dinner, get in a boat put to sea, have some drinks, rent a bike, join the crowd and dance with the li e band! It has it all close to the beach as well! There are shops with local vendors, hand made stuff and really cute!
Beautiful evening walking the pier and watching a gorgeous sunset! Good exercise and wonderful weather into the evening. Nice way to relax by the ocean.

Nice place to visit with family, friends or a romantic place for you and your lover.
You can go on a 2 hour whale watching boat ride which is a scary fantastic adventure across the deep sea if you'd like your stomach to drop it's like being on a rollercoaster. Then they have all kinds of restaurants in different village gift shops and or stores, you can rent out boats, bikes, see the Queen Mary to which you off of Shoreline village you can also visit the Queen Mary by reservation you can also catch the Catalina Express and go to Catalina Island as a turnaround adventure. And just look at the beauty of downtown Long Beach and across the way from Shoreline village is the Pike shopping outlets with more restaurants and a movie theater.

Difficult to find, as many approaches were closed due to a car show. Walked for 30 minutes all around the Convention Center.
Once there .. The Pacific Ballroom is an Arena venue thoughtfully furnished and decorated to emulate a night club. I attended a Symphonic Rock Concert here.. the music was great , but the overall sound was lacking balance. Drums were too loud and the arena venue echoed like a high school dance.
We were going to the aquarium in Long Beach. However, they were sold out. Instead of having a complete loss of a day, we made the best out of it.

We walked around the aquarium way and to the lighthouse. The kiddos played in the grass and soaked up the sun. Saw the queen Mary and other ships l and sail boats and Duffy.

We then walked to the Pacific Mall since the public bathroom in the park is rancid. My 4 year old went to 4 different stalls and refused to pee because of the foul smell.

Enjoyed the view and tons of pictures opportunity. It really made me miss California.
One spot, multiple uses. From tech conventions to The Grand Prix, the Long Beach convention center hosts almost all sort of events.

We were here for the 2 day Grand Prix weekend and it was absolutely amazing!

The facility is huge and hosts thousands of people quite comfortably with room to spare. The staff is extremely professional and courteous and did a great job at directing the general public around. Having back end access helps moving past the red tape but it felt hardly necessary.

Though my review focuses primarily on the Grand Prix weekend, I can see the facility being a great spot to almost any type of event or convention.

That being said, if you are in town in the month of April, specifically the 2nd or 3rd weekend in April, do stop by for the Grand Prix. It's California's version of the Monaco F1 track and is loads of fun.

Check out my pictures & videos attached.
If you're in Long Beach and there is something playing here , it's definitely worth the visit. We looked up plays in Long Beach and found 5his wonderful little theater. I prefer small venues and local talent and this place is a winner. Grab some wine and snacks and enjoy the local vibe and great talent .
Have been here several times for trade shows. The last event was an evening event, so got to see the beautiful night lights of the water fountains and the Long Beach skyline - very impressive views.

The venue itself is clean, lots of rooms, several restrooms, different halls and a theater, so there may be several things going on in the same day.

There are restaurants and food venues inside. Love the artwork inside the hall forays.

The best part is the location, just a couple blocks away from the nightlife of the bars and restaurants on Pine Avenue.

Parking is slightly expensive, but it is downtown Long Beach and comes with the territory. I am sure I will be back for more trade shows here.

I came here for the first time, after a funeral service that was held for a friend. They rented this spot & it was beautifully done! They catered an all you can eat taco bar, all you can eat soul food, and an open bar. The D.J also did an amazing job! (I usually take photos, but on this evening, It slipped my mind & I forgot.) We were looking for a different wedding venue, and The Modern was perfect! We got married with 120 guests in July and they were great about helping us throughout the process. If you’re looking for a venue that’s an open blank space, that you can make into whatever you’d like - it's great. There is a ton of furniture, the view is amazing, and the helicopter send off is the best way to “Irish Goodbye” your own wedding. Mary and Rebekah work to ensure you are in the loop with all the details and it was easy to bring in our own vendors that weren't on the "pre-approved list." Would definitely recommend it!

Took dinner cruise on the Fourth of July doesn’t deserve even one star. Took approximately 45 minutes to park, 45 minutes in line and the food was atrocious. Chicken was raw, the hotdog was ice cold, the green beans were raw, Caesar salad dressing was 90% salt unbelievable. The dining area was hot no AC. No seats on the upper outdoor deck! We were far away from the firework show would have been better where we were docked. Took 45 minutes to pay for the ticket in the parking structure and over 90 minutes to leave was completely Gridlock’d. Worst experience ever, never again.

Went for an event to support my nieces, & it was a cute small narrow building...perfect for a small entertaining vibe. Outdoor patio was roomy too. Cute size with lights on top.
Over 90 years of bringing live productions to the community, this theater is truly a Long Beach gem. Today I saw veteran actor, Robyn Hastings performing in the play, "Intimate Apparel." What a treat. Great acting, great seats, friendly staff and the wine ain't bad either.
Super relajante vale la pena aislarse en estos lugares dónde se olvidan los tormentos las tristezas las preocupaciones

My husband and I selected this venue because of it’s unique and modern look. The space is beautiful and the different spaces make for a great experience for everyone. The lounge was the perfect space for our cocktail hour and our guests loved the outdoor patio overlooking the runway and planes, some even got to see planes landing. We booked the venue back in 2019 for a September 2020 wedding. Due to Covid, we had to reschedule twice and Mary was very helpful and understanding. As we finally got to the final details stage of the planning, Mary was awesome to work with, especially when we met for our signature cocktail tasting. During the reception, Mary and her staff always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed from food to drinks to anything in general. We are so happy we selected The Modern and we loved every moment of our wedding.

I don't like to write bad reviews but the organizers of the NYE 2022 of this sir Winston yacht are liars and let me tell you why; So I brought two tickets for NYE 2022 and the main promise was that the yacht gonna go in the ocean and we the people will celebrate the first moments of 2022 in a moving yacht which made me pay $322 for two tickets. The day after we purchased the tickets they sent us an email where they say that sir Winston's yacht is not gonna go into the ocean and just stay in the harbor in his dock because of bad weather?!?! When we arrived the weather was just perfect and the ocean was like a tablecloth no wind no rain not even cold. But guess what when we arrived we saw that there was only one group of people who got VIP tickets as they sell VIP tables for 10 and only one VIP table was booked. Conclusion: they just decide to not spend the fuel as the VIP book rate was isn't high and left most people disappointed as they don't do refunds at all. Never again will do business with you, sir Winston...
I actually went to the park behind the community center. Which has been completely remodeled. It’s really nice. There’s a bunch of climbing and swinging structures. There’s also a little play structure for kids 2-5, it’s completely enclosed. The bathrooms however are near the baseball concession stand, which isn’t the easiest to find with kids who really have to go. I had to walk to the front of the community center to find that out and then back across the play area.

The staff here is so great to work with. So much flexibility in this unpredictable time, I genuinely appreciate everything Robert did for us! Every single guest had such a good time - perfect place!
My 5 year loves going here and so do I. The park is clean and all the kiddos and parents are nice and friendly

Great park..has basketball courts also..one short full court with rims a little lower than 10 feet.

Has 2-5 year old area and a 5-12 area.

Simple and small area but great.
Playground is amazing. Even my 13 yr old loves it. Lots of shade. Usually not busy. Bathrooms by baseball field are clean and open til 9ish. Baseball field used by LB Piny and is awesome. Great field
This is the best play I have ever been to at the the Long Beach Playhouse. The Haunting of the Hill House was awesome!! Extremely talented actors. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!! "ELEANOR" is in another category, she NAILED IT!! BUT THEODORA, LUKE, DR MONTAGUE WERE NOT FAR BEHIND. Will definitely go see this play again!!
Fantastic time at my friends birthday cruise! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a good time! Amazing customer service as well.
Had the best time celebrating my birthday on this cruise! Customer service was great and I would highly recommend.
Great park with awesome playgroud,, fenced toddler area, baseball and basketball areas
Our kids really look this park. This one had a separate play ground for young children and a larger area for the older kids. There are a carpet of things to do - slide, swings, diggers, and all kids of rope devices or as we call them spider webs. There are also music devices for the kids and parents to preform on. Everything is rather spread out so everyone can have going even when it starts to get crowded. There is a nice parking lot, but I have not seen bathrooms. Luckily we've not needed them.

I really came here to support a friend. I like the venue but really this review is for the acoustics and speaker system.

During the play I felt some of the actors and actresses strained their voices while singing to project their voices. Sitting in back probably didn't help much but, again, the acoustics weren't up to par here, in my opinion.

The theatre itself was cozy, lighting was good. Seats were comfortable. Concessions served beer and some snacks but nothing major. Parking was decent with a long parking lot and easy in and out.

Again, the venue is not bad, they just need to update the sound system.

What an amazing venue and fantastic staff! We just held our daughter's wedding at The Modern and it turned out far better than I could have ever imagined. I give a great big Thank You to Mary and her dedicated staff. They tended to our every need on the day of the event.

Their kindness, professionalism, and can-do attitude made our day go by so much easier.

If you are looking for a wedding or business function venue with a WOW factor and the people to back it up - look no further than The Modern.

Nice staff. We very much enjoyed our cruise
I think that the park itself is pretty normal. Which for a Long Beach is actually quite nice. But the reason why it turns five stars is because of the outstanding Parks and Recreation staff that work here. all of the parks in Long Beach have outstanding staffs in my opinion. And this goes double for the coaches for the kids sports teams. Both of my kids love coming here any chance they get, and they always have a great time. They play sports, play games, do arts and crafts, interact with other kids, and just have an all-around wonderful experience. I would like to give a particular shout out to Coach Eric, Coach Heather, and Coach Oreo who have worked with my kids directly. All of them have been truly outstanding. Long Beach Parks and Recreation is the best use of my tax money that I can think of. It is also one of the best reasons to live in or near Long Beach.
