I got take out from there tonight, I didn’t check it until I got home, it was not right, but mistakes happen, no big deal. I called back to see if I could get what I ordered and how John, the manager, handled it went above and beyond. I’ve got to mention that Sophie was so sweet and with employees like these two I am definitely making this my go to restaurant and will make sure that I spread the word too!
I walked in looking to place an order to go. I was given a menu to look at and asked the hostess a question about the shrimp. She had to get the cook because she didn't know the answer. I ended up ordering the Haddock nuggets and shrimp combo. It took awhile even though the place wasn't busy at all. I enjoyed the haddock nuggets which were lightly battered. The shrimp was ok. The fries, however, were not so good. Half of them weren't even cooked all the way and I couldn't eat them.
So elegant and comfortable. The interior is rich in history and very tastfully decorated. 100 thumbs up!!!
Our server Jackson was amazing and on point! We were blown away by the quality of the food. We split a bunch of appetizers and they were fresh, tasty and all amazing. Lobster and burgers were great. Wish we were in maine for a few more days to come back. Highly recommend this place.
Every single dish that left the kitchen, from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert was phenomenal!!! Our server, Jackson, was absolutely amazing also. His service was fast, accurate and beyond our expectations. This place deserves more than just 5 stars!!! Across the board, it was a fantastic experience and a great way to end our Maine vacation!! We ❤️ the curds!!!
Lovely venue with plenty of space. Josh was very accommodating and hospitality beyond belief. Will be using this space for my events should scheduling permit. Thank you for such a flawless and wonderful experience at BAE!
The food was AMAZING! Had robs chips with gouda and a potato skin flattie. Both are so good! I will definitely be coming back!!
We never do reviews but this place was outstanding and deserves a special mention. The food was excellent. The service impeccable. The atmosphere and restaurant with several floors, history etc. amazing. And all at a reasonable price. Wow! You people nailed it. Don’t miss this gem when you visit Bangor
I had my graduation family dinner. We all enjoyed our meals. We were seated w reverence and promptly. Dinner was served hot and delicious. I will continue to recommend to all my friends. Oh and parking was valet!
This place was good it was definitely packed for a Thursday! Food was delicious, the drinks were great. Apps were good, tasty, crunchy and crispy just like I love it!!!
Such a wonderful location for showcasing indie artists. This is exactly what Bangor needs. I cannot wait to see what shows they host in the future.
Great food! Large portions! Great staff. The place does seem to be a little outdated as far as decor goes, but it's still nice. Very clean. I've note it's that the main entrance is in the rear of the building if you are facing it from the main road. There is no signage telling you to go around the back. Once we went in the back, there were no issues. They do have a side entrance right to the lounge on McDonald's side of the building.
What can I say! From the moment you walk through the door it is amazing and the customer service is exceptional. My husband and I went for brunch and the waitress was so personable and made you feel like family, the food was excellent and the atmosphere of the place was so warm and welcoming. We will definitely be going back again and trying more of the meals. The chef certainly knows how to satisfy the palate. Even the Bloody Mary we had was the best we had ever tasted.
Great place to visit with a lot of history, too. Excellent service and atmosphere. The entree options are a bit limited but I would say that none of them would disappoint. I can personally suggest the rack of lamb with pistachio crust and roasted tomato. Wonderful! We will visit again.
Beautiful club turned restaurant with a rich history. The wait and host staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious!! I got the lamb (see picture) and my husband got the filet and crème brûlée. Despite the incredible dining experience, the most memorable part was exploring the rest of the building, playing games like shuffleboard & billiards, and having drinks on the rooftop while enjoying the view of Bangor. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!
Great food and friendly service. Try to avoid sitting in the booth unless there is nobody in the booth behind you as you will feel every shift they make. The steak sandwich is delicious and the fries are hand cut and plentiful. The beer cheese with the pretzels is not really good. The Mac and cheese leftover cheese was tastier to dip the pretzel bite than the cheese that came with the bites. Don't come here if you are in a hurry but do come if you have time to sit and enjoy.
We had our rehearsal dinner here- the building and rooms are beautiful and the rooftop is gorgeous! The service and food were great! Moderately pricey menu but worth it! Had I known how awesome this venue was we would’ve just had our small wedding there! Thanks for all your care and accommodations- with love, the newlyweds, Jim and Monica
Attended a wedding Saturday afternoon following into the evening, the help was impeccable, the dinner was delicious and lacking nothing! Decor for Christmas was unforgettable and really added to the wedding festivities! If you want an memorable experience this is the place to choose.
The turn of the century ball room with 3 story windows and balcony is one of a kind in Bangor. A beautiful space for the symphony, a wedding or any special event really!
I just went to the Ballroom Thieves concert tonight. They were amazing and so was the venue! Great ambiance for a folk/rock peformance.
Historic venue now re-opened for a variety of concerts and special events. A great addition to Bangor!
I attended a "by donation" concert....no admission fee but a donation was encouraged. The concert itself was great. The venue offers a limited bar, conveniently located restrooms and an elevator. Seating is chairs arranged on the floor, so seeing the performance can be a challenge if you're shorter than the people in front of you. It was comfortable enough for a one hour show.
