I recently tried El Sapo this weekend. I've been wanting to try this place as I love cuban food. After an hour drive to the restaurant we were seated right away. The ambiance and decor is very nice, the waiter was attentive. I don't think the food and drinks were worth the drive. We ordered the pitcher of mojito that tasted like lemonade. I think every cuban establishment should know how to make mojitos. The Empanadas were delicious, the Croquettes were good. I ordered the ropa vieja which is my go to whenever I have cuban food and it wasn't great, I didn't even finish the dish. The beans we had to order separate from the dish and they didn't impress me either. My boyfriend ordered the fried fish and it was really good. We ordered the flan and that was good also.
We received our bill and there was a 20% service charge on the bill that they said was for security, so definitely plan for that.

Let me say this place was a delight. Excellent service we sat outside patio and the place got crowded after we sat down. The crowd were mostly regulars I suspect as it was like a social club. If we would have been later I would have expected dancing to break out. The food was under priced and I don't find that comment coming from me these days. The owner Ranaldo happened by and knew one of my friends a former restaurant owner.Now the good part was the food we shared an ensemble of food I couldn't begin to write but I suggest all that is there not one complaint in five dishes. The three desserts we tried were magnificent if you like coconut the homemade ice cream is unforgettable. Edwin the waiter was on his game.
This is a nice Cuban restaurant in Silver Spring, MD! The service was great, I recommend reserving a table ahead of time since they get really full once happy hour starts. Great food, music, and overall atmosphere. Hands down best empanadas I’ve ever tasted!! I will be returning.

Finally stopped by at El Sapo! Didn’t even know this was a Cuban Social Club, It definitely gives that’s vibe 💃🏾
I love that the garage doors were opened, It brought in fresh air and was very inviting while walking by.
There was a private event taking place at their courtyard and I really enjoyed watching the way they catered to that group and how It was served. They were very professional and still made other guest outside of the event feel welcomed.

Had a college graduation celebration in their upstairs event room. They provide tables & chairs & access to the commercial kitchen.
This place has really transformed downtown Silver Spring into what it is today.

Well maintained event, casual center with an on-site kitchen
Nice venue. Clean bathrooms. Good drinks. Minus 1 star because when I called for set times it said the DJ was opening. So I purposely came late thinking I'd miss the DJ. Instead the group I wanted to see went on 1st and I completely missed them other than 1 song 1 member of the group did with the DJ near the end of his set.
Main act was great.

Incredible venue with an elevator for accessibility. Balcony seating is perfection, and the drinks are priced like any bar. A lot of employees around for any questions you might need. I felt safe and could really let myself enjoy the concert.

We sat at the bar since it was a nice sunny day and we wanted to be close to the outside area. We ordered Thea pitcher of lavender margarita, pollo coca- cola, croquettes, shrimp enchiladas, and king fish steak. The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was nice and hot when it came out however I didn’t think through king fish steak had much flavor. The croquettes were okay. The best items were the margaritas, and the shrimp in the enchiladas. We were expecting tortillas with the enchiladas but there weren’t any. Overall I would say this is a great place to stop for drinks but I wouldn’t plan on dining here again.
Absolutely fantastic venue! The staff were super friendly and helpful from the moment we showed up, to getting in the right line to get autographs from the band (Dirty Loops), to making sure we got good pics taken with them. Definitely will come to more shows soon!!
Enjoyed every minute of the experience once we were in the venue. If it's your first time when you go there for event, heed this one piece of advice. Go one hour earlier, get the lay of the land around the venue (the parking in particular), and you'll have a great time!

Super great place for large events
Awesome place to see a show! The floor is huge, but if you need to get away from the crowds, the balcony is available. Coat check available, ample bars. Takes a while for the smoking section to open up, but they have an area to go outside if that's your thing. Close to the metro, but also plenty of garages. If you park at the mall it's less than $5
This is my first ever time coming to the Fillmore. I've always wanted to come here but I live in Richmond, VA and no bands that I like come to Richmond. Every band I want to see either come to the many venues in DC or go to Norfolk, VA. I'm glad I finally came I saw Crosses here and I loved every minute.
It's a wonderful place and super clean! It was packed, and it was super easy to get a drink at the bars. The only bad thing i can say is that we paid for balcony seats for about 130 each and then we noticed they had premium seats at tables available when we got there and they said its 60 dollars a person for those seats and that no matter how much we paid for ourseats we couldn't upgrade? But i already paid more for the level below seats? It's confusing, and i paid way too much compared to other people at the show.

The wait staff is really friendly and Service is quick. We got the sampler platter which will feed 4 people and I tried the mojito. I will say that there was a lot of food that was bought in the sampler platter. However, I wouldn’t say that it was very tasty or flavorful Most of it was really just deep fried. I also found the mojito to be over sweet.
I would come here for a change of pace and for dishes to share.

Saw The Menzingers on 11/18. Amazing show. Parking at nearby garages was convenient. Plenty of places within walking distance to grab dinner before the show. Getting inside the venue was easy and quick.The venue has great security and I felt safe. The staff seemed well trained to help crowd surfers. The only issue is that I paid $43(!!!) for 2 drinks but we always expect the price gouging at events.
Had a great time! Got to meet my favorite Tech N9ne. Sat center stage premier seating (photos attached), which included my own server. I didn't have to wait for drinks, and there was easy access to the restroom, so i can't comment on the bars downstairs. Drinks were a little steep, and the selection was okay. Facility was reasonably clean, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. There was plenty of air ventilation, so I didn't get hot while watching the show.
Awesome venue!!! Balcony seating was nice. Especially enjoyed the many areas to get drinks. Never waited long for service. I hope to return soon for another show!!! Sound was amazing!!
Fantastic venue. Was there last night for Static-X show. From the guy checking my bag at door to all the staff, bartenders etc., everyone was kind, professional, courteous and just awesome. Not a single negative thing to say at all. Meet and greet staff also amazing people. Thanks for a great night. Would travel 3 hours again from NJ to this venue.
Awesome experience! Nothing But Thieves was absolutely fantastic, and the crowd was great. The show was sold out, but everyone was polite and there were no problems. Even from the back we could see very well. The walk to the parking garage was really quick and easy.
I was there to Officiate a wedding. Nick the Clubhouse Manager was very hospitable, professional and helpful. Nice size venue and I was told they have space to rent downstairs as well. Great drinks. Clean establishment and parking was available. I hope to be back to Officiate
The Fillmore is a nice venue to see great artists. You can stand on the floor or stand on the upper levels. Or you can pay more and sit on the higher levels. There are bathrooms on the top level, 3rd floor, and the bottom level. There are bars on the top and bottom as well. If you are on the top level by the stage, you will have a blocked view from the speakers. Since the main area is flat, you will have a hard time viewing the concert. Many other venues have a tilted floor for better viewing but not the Fillmore. This venue has great concerts but horrible viewing areas. You have to pay to sit and those seats are expensive. The concerts have been short where the main act plays for about an hour and there is at least 30 minutes between the opening act and main act. Overall it’s a good venue, but it is not a good design. Also, I have a suggestion to have ear plugs available.
Went there with my wife for Ava Max concert. It was an amazing experience. They had 3 levels and a bar on each level. Main floor is standing room only which is where we were but there are seats in the 3rd level. Excited for other events they may host there throughout the year.

I really Enjoyed going to the Bone Thugs in Harmony concert last year with my son. We got pretty close to the stage. The place was clean. They had a bar. The restrooms were clean as well. I got my coat from the coat check with no issues.
Just finished (3/4/23) dinning at El Sapo. The seasoning and presentation of the dishes were excellent!! Drinks were also spot on. Don't let the steam rice fool you...it's not the plain stuff, well season with garlic and other goodness 😋. Sample the small bites and have an entree. You won't be disappointed.

We were there for a repast following a family funeral. The food was great. There was plenty of space for us all to socialize. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful.
Wonderful hall to see bands, hold class reunions, and other events. Holds around 200 people upstairs. Lots of free parking around and behind the venue. Food and drink available also!

All sorts of great meetings and events happen here. Nice shops and shopping nearby. Ice skating in the plaza. Parking garage is just across the street.
Beautiful facility with very convenient Street and garage parking. The area was well-lit and we felt comfortable walking to our cars even after 9:00pm. We will definitely schedule our next event here because the facilities are wonderful and they are very accommodating!
