We visited in March with a 5-year old. There was plenty for her to do. She loved the tubing hill and the arts and crafts opportunities. She also adored the treehouse outdoor play area. In total, we spent 4 hours here. Because of the winter hours, not all of the buildings or activities were open, but we still stayed very busy. The staff were great engaging with her in age-appropriate ways so she could learn and ask questions.

Out of many options in the area, we traveled from Wisconsin and decided to attend Conner Prairie’s festival to watch the total solar eclipse. Our group is in agreement that we could not have made a better decision. The event was extremely well organized. I was worried about traffic and parking for such a highly anticipated event, but we didn’t wait in a single line to enter or exit the event and there were several friendly parking attendants instructing us where to go. Every staff member and volunteer from Conner Prairie we interacted with, from the ticket booth to the merch stand to concessions, were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. We arrived at about 10:30am so had to wait several hours for the eclipse but we weren’t bored a minute! The live music and entertainment schedule was great. We appreciated the variety of food trucks and concessions that gave us plenty of options and helped keep lines short and quick. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful! This was an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives, and I can’t imagine spending it in a better way. For an event that doesn’t come around very often, we were thoroughly IMPRESSED with how organized and smooth everything at Conner Prairie went – with a smile on everyone’s face! So thank you to everyone involved. I’m already trying to convince my group to come back for the hot air balloon festival in September.

Did not know I was going to get the opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon!!! They have it attached so you’re not free flying around but still so cool! This was a wonderful experience walking around Connor prairie and doing the headless horseman ride! It’s not too scary and they have it all wonderfully decorated. The staff is all great and actors work hard to make your experience immersive! Highly recommend checking it out!

This is the third year we chose this venue as our holiday party location. Every year, it's simply magical. Cozy atmosphere with great food and hosts. Highly recommend!
I used the Prairie Guest House for my daughter’s baby shower. It is a lovely venue for such an occasion. Amber was so very accommodating and easy to work with. John & Kiersten had everything ready for us when we arrived with our buffet food and drink. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Prairie Guest House again!
Bed & Breakfast to accommodate out of town guests for our son's wedding, and everything exceeded our expectations.
The facility itself is even nicer than the pictures, and the meals were wonderful. We also hosted a brunch there the morning after the wedding and it was perfect.
Karen and her staff went above and beyond to make our guests welcome, and helped through a few panic moments on the day of the wedding!
We highly recommend Prairie Guest house.
Very nice trail and happy to see they have restrooms and they even have a poo bag station for poochies.
Ritchey Woods is a great park in Fishers if you are seeking solace in the ever growing city. I love leisurely strolling in the Fall. The colors was not too vibrant but it gives you enough preview of of the magnificent Fall. It is really one of my favorite city park in Fishers.
We stopped here to walk our dog and what we ended up finding was an amazing park. It was fall and the colors were gorgeous. The walking trails were wide, clean, and easy. Everyone was getting their family photos taken here because of the gorgeous landscape. Parking is plenty. Facilities are new and appeared clean.

Conner Prairie is always fun and educational. We have enjoyed visiting on a normal day and as a chaperone for a school field trip. Every event we have attended, including Symphony on the Prairie and The Headless Horseman, have been great. The staff and volunteers are amazing, kind, helpful, and educational.
This is a fabulous nature preserve right in a spot where you'd least expect it. Great place to run in dirt trails, walk dogs, hold an event, or just have a quiet lunch on a weekday. The facilities, including restrooms, are always fantastically clean. It's important to remember that this is a preserve and not simply a park. The rules are slightly different and it's up to those of us who visit to keep things here as nice as they are! Whoever maintains and otherwise takes care of Ritchey Woods has done a phenomenal job for as long as I can remember- at least a couple decades at this point!

Such a great experience. Only downside was we couldn’t ride in the hot air balloon. But that was because it was windy!
Otherwise, we had fun! We loved how everyone stayed in character, it was great.

This past weekend I hosted a Client Appreciation Event and 30th Anniversary Party for my Real Estate Company at the Prairie Guest House. Everything was beautifully set up and made my party a success with the indoor and outdoor space for my clients and their kids. I have hosted 6 events here and John and Karen, the owners, always make me and my guests feel welcome. The Inside Dining Room is perfect for a Catered Buffet, the Sunroom allows for comfortable indoor seating and the Courtyard is perfect for additional dining options and outdoor games and fun for the kids. Tucco Realty hopes to continue to host future events at this lovely "homelike" venue.
beautiful woods, brambles, fields, wildflowers, hills, swamp... everything you want in a nice park. lovely native plants, lots of birds. clean bathrooms.
It is a well kept Nature Preserve. Great for enjoying the outdoors with your favorite people and canine companions.

Loved this place. The people in costume stay in character no matter what, and are probably the most informative people we’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering in this type of environment. They had charm and personality. Such a joy.

We’ll be back. If you haven’t been here, it’s time.

Used the AAA discount to save $3 for 2 adults. Went around 3pm so didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything BUT there were no field trips.
This is the second shower that I have held at the Prairie House. Both experiences were absolutely perfect! I used the in-house catering both times and the food is always presented beautifully and delicious. They are very accomodating and strive hard to create the experience to the request of the customer. This fees are reasonable for such a unique and intimate experience. Thanks to everyone at the Prairie House!

Very very pleased with decision to host my daughter’s bridal shower at Prairie Guest House . Amber worked with us to accommodate every detail. We self catered the event but Sherri and Kiersten were there helping us every step of the way! Thank you everyone for making the occasion a beautiful success! Hope to book all the rooms for the wedding in October!

Such a great place to visit! The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. The hiking paths are beautiful and take you on such scenic routes. And, if you are able, the hot air balloon is an AWESOME experience!

We brought my kids here for the first time (7, & 5) and I believe they were the perfect age! We spent 4 hours here and we still have so much to explore for the next time we go back. The kids loved hands on learning about history, and the actors/actresses kept them interested the whole time. I may have loved it even more than they did! I cannot wait to take them back. This is a place we can come back to and see new things we missed each time! Our kids truly learned a lot as well. On the car ride home we asked them questions from throughout the day, and they knew every answer. Awesome place! Well done!

We've been coming here for the Symphony on the Prairie 4th of July celebration for a couple of years now. We pay a bit extra for a table(instead of just lawn seats) and the VIP parking. This allows easier in and out and an exclusive air-conditioned bathroom. It's worth every penny. We have an absolute blast every year. No doubt that we'll be back next year! 💙🤍❤️

The first time we went here we ended up spending hours here because there was so much to do so we bought a pass and have been to every event Conner Prairie puts on from the sunflower garden, to the Halloween and Christmas event. There's so much for the kids to do, learn and interact with. Can't recommend this place enough.
We held my daughter's bridal shower here with about 30 guests, and it was such a special place and experience. I worked with Amber and John beforehand, and they had everything perfectly set up and ready to go when I arrived. John was very accommodating with all of my requests and was available to answer all of my questions during the event. Our guests were very impressed with the house and made several comments about how charming and perfect it was! I highly recommend Prairie Guest House for bridal showers, baby showers, small events or even small weddings. We loved it!

We were so delighted with our stay at Prairie Guest House that for our next visit to Fishers, IN, we will check their availability first, before we make our plans-- it's the BEST place to stay! The property is spacious and relaxing, the suites are all different and lovely and impeccably clean, the breakfasts absolutely delicious (and different every morning) and the hospitality from the hosts is exceptional. Look no further....book here.
There really is nothing I can say in a negative way about our experience having our Bridal Shower at Hawthorne. They say that one can never have all three - Quality, Service and Price. I have to say that with Hawthorne we had all three! I can't rave enough about every person we dealt with, being pleasant, kind and eager to do what they can to provide our wishes. Our food was a priority in that our Bride-to-be has an experienced pallet and the Buffet and Desserts came through to perfection. We asked for Creme Brulee' and Oysters Rockefeller and easily they said "yes", and they were wonderful!! Whitney was our Catering contact and she was always calm, listened and did whatever she could to make every detail what we discussed. She always responded by e-mail and met with me as often as I felt I needed. We are not Members of the Club, but we were treated as if we were. We looked at several Venues, and this one checked off all of the boxes. The atmosphere was pleasant feeling we had the place to ourselves. I had to write a review because we are so very happy and appreciative. We feel fortunate we chose Hawthorn for our Event!!
I did my first hike of the year this year here, and it was beautiful. Quiet and relaxing, the woods are very beautiful. There's a small cemetery along one of the trails, various places to sit down to rest, and restrooms that had a sign saying they were open during park hours.

Trails were well maintained, a mixture of gravel and dirt. Bridges were great! A beautiful creek to marvel at, lots of signage up about not creek stomping at this particular location, restoration in progress ❤️

Saw a lot of mushrooms and birds. Lots of people with their doggos for walks, ample parking in the lot.
The Hawthrons was the perfect venue to hold our wedding. Stephanie was great to work with and everything about the venue was perfect. Compared to event venues, the Hawthorns had extremely competitive pricing and didn’t try to nickel and dime us for the experience. The food was also great!
Thank you Hawthorns Golf and Country Club for hosting our end of the year banquets! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend holding your next event here. The staff and service were amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure our day perfect. Extra thank you to Stephanie Rice for making this event so special.
My first visit & will definitely go back. It was so shaded. Not to many people about. The trails are shorter, one even has a dead end. Picnic tables in 2 different spots, restrooms (didn't go in), a spot for borrowing a book ❤️, appeared to be a fire pit but that was dead bolted, several benches for sitting and bird watching, gravel & dirt paths, trails are marked very well, very dog friendly (had waste bags/cans). Saw a chipmunk, birds & a rabbit. Several different trees, which are marked and fun for learning. It smelled like fresh bloomed flowers but I never did see any!
We were fortunate enough to have an amazing wedding at the Hawthorns in early Fall. Stephanie was an absolute joy to work with and my wife can't say enough wonderful things. The actual day turned out perfect--great food, everything setup beautifully, and guests having a great time. The icing on the proverbial cake was Stephanie's assistance during the event itself. She brought up refreshments, golf-carted us to some good picture destinations, and pulled us aside whenever there was anything we needed to be looped in on. Thanks to the entire Hawthorns staff for helping to make our wedding so fantastic!
My husband and I had been planning our wedding for a year and a half in another state and found out 2 months prior to the event that the guest list would have to be limited to no more than 30 people, which didn't even cover our immediate family. We immediately started looking for other venue options, and came across The Hawthorns through The Knot. We met with the event coordinator Stephanie, who assured us they had our day available, and everything would be taken care.

We ended up having our rehearsal dinner and wedding at The Hawthorns, and everything was beautiful and perfect! They had space available for an outdoor ceremony, they took care of arranging rentals for linens, tables, and barrels for the bar, had several decorations and table numbers available for our use, and no matter the question or issue that came up, Stephanie was more than capable of handling it. They arranged breakfast and lunch for the bridal party as we got ready (on-site, they have some fantastic spaces for this), worked with our photographer on the best places for pictures, and helped the DJ get everything set up for the outdoor ceremony and the indoor reception.

Honestly, we felt extremely taken care of and valued and could not have imagined a more-perfect wedding venue. The attention to detail was fantastic and made us feel almost VIP. They had several club-related events going on over the weekend and every time we stopped by for a visit, but that did not hamper the attention that was shown to our events and guests. We would highly recommend holding any event here, especially if Stephanie is your coordinator!
Our wedding is not until September but I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Erin and Emily so far! They are AMAZINGLY accommodating and I am so excited to share one of the most important days of my life with them. I honestly cannot say enough about their patience and the way the work to customize your special day!! I would hands down recommend Hawthorns for any event. The space itself is to die for! The pictures do not do it justice and it makes it even better when you are working with a great staff!!
I just had to bring some of the Philadelphia Eagles First Superbowl Win out to Indiana! Thank you Dustin Riggs for having me out there and all the best to you at the Spectacular Hawthorns Golf + Country Club!
I got married here almost 2 weeks ago. The location itself is beautiful and the food for the reception was delicious. The bartenders and serving staff were wonderful. The only complaint I had was the person in charge of organizing and handling the details of the event. There only issues we had in the entire planning of our wedding were a result of things that the person had done (or not done), or a lack of communication with us by the venue's event coordinator.
