Worth its name. Very friendly and professional staff. Easy to speak to, very attentive to details and ensuring an amazing service.

The food is very good and they have good selection of drinks and cocktails.

The bread with olives and olive oil mix is very yummy.
The mushrooms soup is excellent, the fish tacos and the tiramisu are good too.

Overall great experience. We will definitely be back soon to enjoy again and try different tapas.

(If you order the fish tacos, eat them as soon as they are served. I was so busy with the soup 😋 that when I got to the tacos they were cold. That’s on me 😅)
If you like oysters, this is the spot. They got 1$ oyster specials everyday and they taste absolutely amazing. Panis (our waitress) provided exceptional service! Will definitely go back.

The mushroom dish on the apps menu is the best thing I've ever eaten. We went on a Saturday night and there was live music, exquisite vibes for sitting and chatting or dancing. We will be back :)

Amazing tasty food! Tried the fish tacos, the first item of the appetizer, thin slices of meat. Fish anf chips was great portion! Fries were delicious. Cocktails were great! Lovely artist playing live music, the staff was friendly, warm!
Excellent customer service, Maria, our server was amaizing, the food was delicious and so well served.
After 10 days of touring Ottawa, Montreal and other beautiful little towns, this place it is on the top 3 of our best experiences in our vacation. Definitely a place to come back.
By far the best oysters I’ve had in Ottawa, and to top it off the service was top notch. The hostess Sarah was excellent and very attentive. I can’t wait to come back for more.
Amazing hidden gem! Great cocktails, delicious food, and attentive staff. We will definitely be bad!
We had a lovely time at the Speakeasy Tapas Lounge! The live music was great, and (most importantly) at a perfect decibel. We were able to converse while still enjoying the music and the great vibe. The drinks were delightful and the staff were courteous. This is a great place for a date or drinks with friends.

We saw the ORPHEUS production of Mary Poppins and it was truly amazing!! The actors were so in sync when singing and dancing ... just like the professionals!

The young actors playing their parts and singing flawlessly and every singer brought a commanding and rich vocal performance to their parts!

Plus there was tap dancing!! I was blown away during one section on how in sync these performers are (I counted over 20 actors on stage together) totally in sync singing and dancing... awesome!!

The sets were well designed and the orchestra was also awesome! There is nothing better than live theater with live music... so much could go wrong but the entire production was flawless!!

The audience was clapping and singing along ... the theater was packed. What a great time! There was a standing ovation as we did not want the fun to end!

What a deal as the cost per ticket is considerably less than other performances plus we are supporting local volunteer actors, musicians, front of house and stage artists!

I am a happy subscriber and cannot wait to meet with friends again to share in these amazing productions
Truly in our opinion the best wedding venue in Ottawa. It was over a year from the time we did a tour with Kim to our September 2023 wedding. It is fairly cost effective for a wedding package that includes venue rental, bar packages, day of coordination, etc. And you get a year membership to the club. The venue is unrivalled in terms of the water, the views and sunset. The beautiful deck was perfect for our cocktail hour. Guests are still raving about the venue and location on the water. You can also really personalize the space with your own decor. Kim was so responsive with all our questions the whole year through. Thank you to Kim and team for making our day perfect.

Was not there, but my sister Kim Welcher is a member, and I was visiting her home, which is a block away. All my visits to the club were memorable.

I’ve been dancing at pretty much every club in Ottawa. City At Night is my go to choice almost every time because the bartenders, DJ’s, security, staff, music, and patrons are all top notch and you couldn’t ask for better, kinder, more considerate people. I recommend this place to all my friends and I will recommend it to any newcomers! City at night is a charming venue for dance, music and other arts and has even more charming people in it! Check it out on w Wednesday/Thursday for more chill Vybes or Friday/Saturday for more up-tempo beats. Cheers

City at night is my fav place to be for a night out. People there are just always in high-spirits unlike most of the clubs downtown where people just seem sad and desperate. Everyone’s respectful and the music is always mint. Drinks aren’t too expensive, bartenders are actually nice (not fake nice). It’s also just a really aesthetically pleasing venue.

This place is unlike any other in Ottawa. From the music they play to the coziness of the venue! Everything hits the spot. The bartenders are friendly and excited to be there and it shows! 10/10 would recommend this spot!

I was here last Saturday as a solo woman in my late 20s, ages range a lot which was good because I didn’t want to end up in a student crowd. All the staff is very friendly especially the doorman who’s name I forget(tall blonde guy). I just wanted to dance to good music to blow off steam and it was perfect. The only downside is it felt like there was significantly more men than women and while nobody was inappropriate maybe some marketing to make it a closer ratio would be an improvement.
A unique community arts centre with a fun history and a building (that can be a bit hard to navigate) with many different features and rooms to check out. If you come for the Ottawa Animation Festival at all be sure to tell them Maximilian King sent you (I volunteered there).

A gem of a heritage building, and its conversion into a multi-use arts centre is a treasure for Ottawa. Could use better wayfinding.
Very cool walking path in such a tranquil forest, the energy in there is peaceful. Take your time to actually enjoy the sculptures and natural surroundings and you’ll definitely feel the peace it all brings. I think in total it’s less than 2km with a couple of challenging ups and downs at times if you have bad knees, or ankles; bring a walking stick. Very original idea, thank you for the experience. Will return again in future, worth contributing to.
The Humanics Sanctuary And Sculpture Park was the perfect way to spend a couple of hours in the fall. An absolutely beautiful setting, surrounded by inspirational art from around the globe . Who could have guessed it is only minutes from the city. Highly recommend going, wear good shoes, bring a water bottle and enjoy some wonderful time in nature.

As a regular here I'll say with confidence that City is hands down the best in Ottawa for what they do. THE SPOT for electronic music. This place truly fosters a real community. All people are welcome, respected and treated alike without being profiled or judged. Great people, events and service here every time. 10/10 would suggest city to anyone. Between white rabbit, intersection, pull-up, labyrinthe, factory techno events and many more, there is no shortage for variety of music and trust me, you'll never be disappointed here!
City At Night has been attracting and booking major international talent throughout the years while fostering the local DJ community here in Ottawa. Regardless of the night, you're in for a treat! Recent renovations have also helped keep the place cooler in hot weather or when there's a large crowd (which is often on the weekends) while upgrades to their lighting system has brought the underground vibes to another level, especially on techno nights. Make sure to follow their socials to plan your night for the type of music you enjoy.
I love the beautiful art they always display 😍

The base I felt was way louder than it needed to be, I didn't stay long for mostly this reason.
Arguably the best venue in Ottawa to get married. From start to finish, Kim as well as all the staff at BYC were awesome. On the big day, Derek did a lot of running around for us and made sure everything was going according to plan. The food they served was unreal! We got a lot of great comments about it. We also had supper there a week prior and it was delicious.
This was the first and only venue we checked out and I’m glad we went with our gut.
Wish we could rate 6/5! Thank you Kim, Derek and all the great staff at BYC!!!

Everyone is nice but bring cash or they won’t let you in
Today, quite by chance, I discovered an enchanting site, inviting contemplation and meditation. The Humanics Sanctuary is a magical place where statues invite you to reflect on living together, respecting all religions and cultures, and loving Mother Nature. A must-see!
On a vu Gareth Emery le 23 juin et j’étais très contente de ma soirée. On avait une table pour 10 et le service était impeccable. La banquette était confortable et j’ai aimé les nouvelles rénovations. Le son était excellent.

I love coming to this arts complex. Over the years, I have attended art exhibits, book launches, a dance show, gone to the Ottawa Fringe Festival, and attended other special events. You can also go to concerts, films, and other cultural/arts events here. A true gem in Ottawa's cultural community

Note: This beautiful space is connected to the Ottawa Art Gallery and University of Ottawa's LabO.
hidden little gem in the city. I wonder why not many ppl know about it. so many nice sculptures from various religions and nice arrangements. there is a separate designated place for meditation. Admission is $8/person, student and senior $5/person, and children under 12 are free. parking is free. washrooms available. little playground for kids. really nice energy.
This is an amazing hidden gem. So many sculptures with so much of life meanings for them. We were given a great tour and the guides were very knowledgeable. This was an incredible experience. Beautiful, tranquil park. I would highly recommend this experience for both adults and children alike.
Hidden Gem nestled in an Ancient Forest of Tranquility!
We spent 2 hours walking these beautiful well maintained walking/hiking trails. There were SO many fascinating & educational spots showcasing amazing hand carved sculptures from around the world, representing awareness of "Who we are" by sharing the 3 essential values of 1. Oneness 2. Equality 3. Interconnection.
We took over 30 pictures & read all the sculpture info boards displayed, which reflect which religion AND which essential value, each sculpture represents.
We were SO impressed, we bought an annual membership so we can come as many times as we'd like & plan to bring our children & grandchildren.
This is an awesome venue for Celebration of Life, Weddings, Family Gatherings, Meditation Workshops, etc...
Located just 1/2 hour from Ottawa and nestled in the town of Cumberland, just off Highway #174, with access to the Park from Old Montreal Road.
Well done and MANY more expansion ideas/plans in the works!

Artfully yours,

I recently held my wedding ceremony and reception at BYC and I cannot recommend them enough! Both management and staff were incredibly prompt and professional, leading up to and during the wedding day itself. The food served was phenomenal, and everyone in attendance raved about the views. It was the perfect venue and I cannot wait to visit them again just for dinner!

We went to the business this Friday for Bollywood night by badshah socials.
Customer service was good. One of the bar wasn’t operational but there weren’t that many people as well to fill up the place.

Always a classy spot to host a small standing function. Been there a couple of times now. Owner/host is a great guy. Street parking nearby that is free at nights.
A very beautiful discovery. It was claimed! We could admire the works of art, I was dazzled by the colours, the different types of techniques, some paintings gave the possibility to imagine multitudes of scenarios and in each of them I could feel certain emotions that emanated. It is said that beauty is relative, but personally I loved it and beauty was present in every work.
I discovered this sculpture park by accident after reading a local guidebook. The sculptures are gorgeous, the forest walk very tranquil, and the staff member who welcomed us was friendly. A hidden gem in the greater Ottawa area.

Bought tickets and went to a party event last night, didn't get the items we bought in our ticket price. Five minutes after arriving they shut it down with 2 hours left on the advertised time and plenty of people inside. No money back, told to finish our drinks and leave. Won't ever recommend or go back.
Very nice place to see various sculptures outside on a quite walk. Walk is around 1.5 km with statues and information displays for each section. Certain sections are in progress. There is little picnic area. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Britannia Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Canada, dating back to 1887. The aquatic / nautical club is located within Britannia village, which was a popular resort/ amusement attraction for Ottawa's elite and military personnel during the summer months. (Today you can see cottage style homes still standing in the area).

The yacht club is built on an extension of land near the Deschenes rapids on the Ottawa River. Along side of the Deschenes rapids the Ottawa Electric Railway Co. built the Britannia Pier (Jetty) as part of a hydro power facility in 1900. This also provided a protective barrier and harbour for those who wished to enjoy the waterways and the yacht club. However, fatalities still occur by those who accidentally venture into the rapids. So be wary if you go out into the waters.

The Britannia Yacht club has a long history of social events with its grounds catering to enthusiasts in sailing, tennis courts, dining, wedding parties, theatre and on going support of the armed forces.
When inside the main building you can see the club's history in their photographs, books and treasured items. The club also provides port/ storage facilities, regatta events and even sailing lessons.

If you like my reviews, photos or videos why not hoist your Canadian Red Ensign flag up in the air for all to see.

I went with a couple of friends on a Friday night and the wait was long. We were the first one at 10:45, and somehow got in at around 12:00. The staff was letting bottle service people go in first, which makes sense. However, there was a period when there was none for a good 30 minutes. They were saying if you get bottle service you can get into the club faster to the walk ins and all bottle service people had already went in. So the cover was $15 then since they made us wait till midnight to get in, they charged us an extra $5 which is kinda pathetic. We got tricked into paying more by them making us wait long even though we got there at 10:45. Anyways, the dance floor was cover with empty tables, and every two seconds you were bumping into someone. The layout is not the best in my opinion. The only thing I enjoyed was the music. I don't recommend this club to anyone unless you get bottle service.
Great food and drinks and engaging staff. Love the fun but sophisticated atmosphere.
Cozy atmosphere, good vibes. Cocktails are fun, food is always great. Highly recommend !
Amazing cocktails, friendly staff, gorgeous space! The burgers are addictive. Must try!
Love the atmosphere. Great cocktails, food, and the bartenders are fun!
The server moved us out of the table we were already seated at so her friends could sit at our table.
I had my wedding photo framed at Wallack Galleries and it was by far the best service and selection in town! Morgan has great taste and attention to detail you can only get from this gallery. Their experience and expertise shows, and they’ve been around a long time. Don’t hesitate to make your photos last a lifetime. Get it framed here.

Wallack Galleries has been a staple in the Ottawa community for over 70 years. It is easy to see why this establishment continues to be a flourishing business in the heart of the capital given Wallack's commitment to quality service. My family has used Wallack Galleries for generations, having all their framing needs met by the proficient and reliable Wallack Galleries staff. I would highly recommend Wallack Galleries!

Love Wallack’s! The staff are incredible knowledgeable about art and truly care about selecting and producing the right frames to house it in. My grandparents used Wallack’s way back in the day, I’ve got tons of their framed artwork on the wall with the Wallack’s sticker to prove it! One of the last great Ottawa institutions!

We went to Ottawa to visit some friends and they took us to the Yacht Club for dinner. It was a really nice experience to be there. When we arrived we took a beer outside watching the sunset, that was absolutely amazing, by the way. After that we got inside and try some of their nachos as an appetizer. They were so tasty. Then we order two of their daily special plates. Everything was just good. There was a guy working on the floor that night, Alex... he is so nice and he make you feel special and gives a super nice treatment to everybody.
You can volunteer to help with productions or try out for open auditions to be in the cast. Orpheus presents fantastic musicals with live orchestras, very high production values, and amazing local talent. Don't come here to watch - this is a rehearsal space used by Orpheans. Shows aren't staged here but usually at Meridian Theatres and at The Gladstone.
I've been an Orpheus season ticket subscriber for 35 years. I have always enjoyed the family friendly shows. I can no longer support Orpheus considering the offensive show selection and the direction they are going. I will miss Orpheus.
Our daughter takes stagecraft lessons here. The lessons seem fun and the kids really enjoy the show they put together. The place could definitely use a cleanup (it's dirty, no other way of putting it), and it is a bit of a challenge when dropping off and picking up your kids...

The Arts Court is a fun venue with a variety of performances! I've been there for burlesque shows, Holiday variety shows, and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a great spot for something out of the ordinary.
A great community centre for arts. They have a large variety in visual, performance and interactive arts on a daily basis. The layout of the place can be a bit confusing but it's an older building. The rooms are extremely big and this is great for art facilities. Overall this is a gem within the city. Go check it out!

A nice place to hang out every weekend. We are family members there and spend almost 6 days a week during summer. Their restaurant makes good food. Dining, launching, and using their facilities are limited to members. But, it makes it a safe, peaceful place. Their kids summer programs are awesome, too.
Little theatre with big heart. Saw the production of Mamma Mia -- it was a lot of fun. I have no hesitation recommending Orpheus. You get a lot of enthusiastic bang for your buck. We'll worth your time.

I have been doing my framing at Wallack's for years and have always recommended them to others; they have never disappointed. I have also been to a few art shows there and have always had a great time. Great art, space, people, service, etc.
Friendly, talented people. Great shows.
