We planned our wedding in under 5 months and was looking for a venue that had everything we were looking for (modern, great food, not a typical catering hall, exceptional professionalism) and we really got all of that at Ravel! Chelsey and Eman were so easy to work with. They were so helpful and on top of everything. They were always on call for anything and were super responsive no matter what time or day. They made what could’ve been a very stressful planning situation so seamless. We had no hiccups or things that went wrong. Ravel also had so many venue spaces to choose from and were flexible in using any space we wanted. Our guests are still raving about how unique our wedding was and how much they loved the food. It really was a perfect day! P.S. They’re also pet friendly!

Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. So much of that sentiment is due to the amazing setting we had, but more importantly all the people who made it possible. From day one, Eman stood out as a trusted advisor and throughout the process turned into a friend. The staff on the day of our wedding was unbelievable. Everyone made us feel like royalty, especially our bridal assistant, Jadelyn. The views, the FOOD, the service... ALL incredible.

We chose Ravel because we planned our wedding from LA and needed as much help as we could get. Eman was an incredible partner throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Ravel enough for anyone's wedding or celebration. We just might have to do it again next year..

If you're on the fence about your venue, trust me, Ravel was the best decision we could have made. It was an unforgettable night! Our wedding was 100 guests - ceremony at sunset on the roof, cocktail on the observation deck, and reception in the penthouse. It was stunning!! The view of the NYC skyline is to die for. Especially at night! Guests were raving about our wedding for months! They all said it was hands down the best wedding they had every been to. The food and drinks were so delicious, the preferred vendors were all amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better team.

Eman made sure the entire wedding and reception was planned exactly as we wanted. Everything I asked for, she found a way to make it happen. Down the the tables, decor, special drinks...Truly above and beyond service. Even when we were ready to leave, everything was magically packed and ready to go! The team at Ravel were literal angels! The entire night ran so smoothly, completely stress free. Worth every penny!

Our wedding day was a dream come true!!! I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful venue and even more wonderful staff to bring it all to life. We wanted the Manhattan skyline to be our backdrop, as it's so much more than a wonderful view - it's our home. The final product far exceeded our wildest dreams. Having our wedding in June 2024 at the Ravel was a dream come true. Amazing food, amazing event space with killer views of the city, and amazing service made our wedding exceed all of our expectations.

Chelsey, our planner at the Ravel, was exceptional and really made the day what it was. She is super organized and communicative, and all of her efforts really made it evident that she deeply cared about our day being perfect.

I feel like we had to stress so little on the day of our wedding because the staff handled everything for us-- even any small mishaps were completely taken care of (sometimes before we even knew something didn't go according to plan, it was already fixed!).

It rained during our wedding day, which obviously is outside of anyone's control, but the Ravel/Chelsey/event staff handled it perfectly. I've heard of other venues forcing the couple to make a call of if you will have the ceremony outside or inside a day before and then you can't change your mind. In the case of our wedding at the Ravel, they were super flexible leading up to the actual ceremony and left us with a lot of options. Even though our ceremony was inside, the space is gorgeous and we were still able to open the rooftop of the penthouse during dinner, which everyone raved about since the view from that room is fantastic.

Guests told us our food (especially the WIDE selection of amazing options at our cocktail hour) was the best they had at any wedding they've ever been to.

Our advice to anyone considering having your wedding at the Ravel - DO IT!

The Ravel and Chelsey absolutely crushed it. As the daughter on an event planner, my standards are VERY high. I know what I want and Chelsey executed flawlessly. Our original florist, who I found independently, disappointed me severely and I needed a new one with 2 months notice and Chelsey immediately connected me with one who came through! Chelsey and the Ravel handled all my requests immediately and were available to talk at all times of any day. Chelsey was always reachable and able to answer all my questions. As a bride who lives in New York but is not originally from New York, we had a lot of guests coming from out of town. Julissa handled all of our guests requests and made sure everyone had what they needed. On the day of the wedding, I knew that everything was going to be perfect because Chelsey was handling it. From having Jadelyn as my bridal assistant making sure my back up shoes didn’t show in the family photos, to ensuring that my veil was sturdy in the wind, I never had to worry. The ceremony, cocktail hour and party were perfect. The roof open on the penthouse with the string lights were the best part. Chelsey made sure to execute my vision and even elevate it with a new floor plan to ensure everyone fit. Now, weeks after the wedding, I have guests telling me they still think about all the food and the views. Overall, the venue is out of dreams with the views, food, organization and drinks. If I could, I would do my wedding again every year at the Ravel.

Our wedding at Ravel Hotel was an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out. From the very beginning, Eman and the team at Ravel Hotel were incredible. Eman was extremely flexible with our requests and provided excellent direction on vendor recommendations, which made the planning process so much easier. The venue’s catering team was also outstanding, and all of our guests were raving about the diverse assortment of food offered.

We were initially drawn to Ravel Hotel because of the stunning city skyline view and the fact that catering was incorporated into their package. This combination made it the perfect choice for us. Throughout the planning process, Eman and the team ensured that everything came together seamlessly.

We had a special request to set up a small table during the reception for our loved ones who had passed away, and Eman was very accommodating in getting it set up beautifully. On the day of our wedding, the setup and decor were beyond our expectations. Eman recommended an amazing florist, and we were awe-stricken when we walked into the reception hall for the first time.

The catering team also offered a vegetarian option, ensuring that all of our guests' needs were met without any worries. The overall ambiance was fun, social, and joyous, allowing all of our loved ones to celebrate together in one space.

There were so many standout moments during our wedding. The cocktail hour blew everyone away, and we’ve been hearing compliments on its execution for weeks. The dessert parade was another fantastic surprise. One of the most magical moments was when the ceiling opened up to reveal the bridge and cityscape on a cool, clear night – it was absolutely breathtaking.

The staff at Ravel Hotel were extremely professional and cordial throughout the entire event. We wholeheartedly recommend Ravel Events to any couples looking to host their wedding there. Wedding planning can be stressful, but on the day of, everything that Ravel put together exceeded our expectations.

We held our wedding at Sound River Studios in October 2023, and it was an absolute dream. From the moment we began planning, Una was incredibly supportive, ensuring every detail was perfect. The venue itself is a hidden gem in NYC —modern, spacious, and versatile. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the space, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. Sound River Studios truly made our wedding unforgettable, and we're immensely grateful for the fantastic experience.

If I were to re-do my wedding 100 times over, it would be at SRS! Una, Tijana, and the rest of our vendors (Gala, Creative catering) that work with SRS made our day nothing short of magical. You cannot beat that NYC skyline view and the chance to completely transform a space to have your dream event. Our families were so impressed with everything. 100000/10 highly recommend.

My wife and I got married a couple weeks ago and honestly couldn’t have been happier with choosing Sound River Studios as our venue. The space itself allowed us to build out our dream wedding, and the location set it all over the top. We had a nice misty night which accentuated the lights of the NYC skyline and added a great atmosphere to being on the East River. Una and the team were incredible and made sure our day went exactly as planned. I couldn’t recommend SRS enough!

We got married at Renaissance Event Hall September of 2023. We had an amazing experience from the tour, through planning, and execution of our wedding. Lisa was an amazing partner in the wedding planning experience, and was so accommodating to our wants and needs. Larry and the rest of our serving and bartending staff made the night for both my husband and I as well as our guests. Clean and appealing space that is the perfect blank canvas for any wedding vision. Would come back for a future party any time!

Many of our guests told us this was the classiest event they had ever been to - SRS is just such a beautiful space with gorgeous views. We loved that there were indoor and outdoor areas for our guests to enjoy, there was ample dining space, and a dance floor. The SRS team was really wonderful: Responsive, organized, friendly, helpful, flexible, creative, and made it a seamless event. We had THE BEST time there. 10/10, it couldn't have been better.

Amazing venue and great hosts to work with. We held a 200 person wedding here and it was spectacular. The space really allows you to be creative and design the wedding that you want, its a blank canvas with NYC as your backdrop. What more can you ask for? Una and her team were amazing as well and worked hand in hand with our wedding planner to make our day flawless.

The internet doesn’t work well and sometimes does NOT at all. The worse part is that the stuff don’t care about it and lie that no one else complains!!!!! So you can play tennis but you have to leave the club if you need to work on your laptop. I wasted all my membership money. Horrible place.

It's a gorgeous venue. Pictures do not do it justice. Lisa is phenomenal, she goes above and beyond to make clients happy. She works with you to make your event yours.

Place is unbelievable with amazing views.
I met Una and I can say that without her I couldn’t pull this off.
She helped me with all the vendors and she did an amazing job. We planned the wedding for two months and everything was perfect.
Decoration, food, flowers, music: she even helped me find boat for the groom and really made my wedding unbelievable..

We had our wedding here on 4/8/23 and we are beyond thrilled that we chose Renaissance Event Hall. A few weeks later and we are still smiling constantly thinking of how perfect everything went. The hall was beautiful of course and we loved the drama of walking down the grand staircase for the ceremony. At the reception we had plenty of space on the dance floor. The food was phenomenal; we had several foodie guests text us during the event to tell us how delicious the food was and some even said it was the best they ever had at a wedding. In fact, several guests told us it was the best wedding they ever went to. All of our 180 guests were smiling and having fun from beginning to end. Larry took care of my husband and I and made sure we had food and drinks as we were so busy mingling with everyone. The biggest thank you I have to give is to Lisa and Maritza. Lisa helped us throughout the planning process and was always immediately responsive in her emails. She told us beforehand that she would be helping with every facet of the event and she did not lie. I’m convinced she has clones of herself because she was helping everyone everywhere all at once. She was our planner, my therapist the day before the wedding, and our day of coordinator. She helped serve food, helped at the bar, and even helped me out of my dress! Maritza opened the venue early for me day of and assisted with getting things ready last minute. All in all we had a fantastic wedding at Renaissance and could not recommend it enough for any event!

Maritza Hammel and her team were an amazing group of people to work with during our wedding process. We were blessed to have them by our side on our special day. Despite some unexpected challenges, such as a late arrivals from vendors, rainy weather, and last-minute decor changes, Maritza was there to support us every step of the way. I myself am in the wedding industry and Ive heard horror stories about how venues/vendors will charge extra for last minute accommodations or they won’t even accommodate. But she made sure we got what we needed and Her quick thinking/problem-solving skills saved the day. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect. Not only did she set up an extra table last minute, while I was having anxiety about my dress not being here in time she offered to bring my wedding dress back with her from her vacation in Europe. (It got here just before the big day) But the fact that she offered proves that she’s truly there for the brides and grooms and wants to make the couple’s life a little easier with all the little wedding stresses going on. She really made our wedding day the most memorable and special day of our lives. If you're planning a wedding, look no further than, Renaissance Event Hall was the perfect location for our wedding and Maritza Hammel was the best planner/helper/therapist etc. we could of had.

I photographed a wedding at Sound River Studios this fall, and could not recommend it enough! The staff was top notch, and the space itself is beautiful. Highly recommend taking advantage of the outdoor ceremony space if you can!

We had our wedding reception here in July 2022 and it was so magical! Maritza and Lisa were amazing coordinators and we could not have pulled it off without their help. Maritza helped us brainstorm ideas and coordinated everything we needed until the last minute of our special day. The wait staff during the event were friendly and very efficient. Food was great and abundant! The space is so big and inviting and we were able to decorate it just like we wanted. The dance floor was huge and the sound system was perfect. Cannot recommend this place enough, we absolutely loved it!!

I had my corporate event in Slic Studios in May. Everything was perfect!
The studio's really big and bright, and the staff was Amazing. It was really convenient compared to other studios.
I totally recommend it to anyone who looking for a big place and a huge terrace.

I was hired to decorate for someone's 50th bday party. It is a very nice place. Very nice for small intimate parties.

My husband and I have lived in Astoria for a few years, so it meant the world to find this venue! The entire venue is absolutely beautiful - from the ceremony site, reception area, even the bathrooms and more. We used white linens, greenery, and added the bistro lights to the reception area and it was totally dreamy.

Lisa was so thoughtful, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of during the planning process and especially on the day of. Pricing was very fair and super customizable.

Our older guests were able to easily use the handicap lift to access both floors as needed throughout the night. Vendors also had a great time working with staff and the space (We used Petals & Roots, K&R Photos, J&R Videography, DJ Lucas Waters, Drawn Together NYC in addition to the Renaissance team.)

For hotels, we had a majority of our guests stay at the Boro Hotel, which is only one mile away from the venue. Would suggest using Ubers/Lyfts for transportation on the day of since parking in Astoria gets a little crowded.

Truly was such a gorgeous space to host our wedding!! We are so so happy we chose the Renaissance.

I love the venue, it’s a clean nice space for bridal showers baby shower. Birthday party it’s cozy.

Is this a good studio? Well it depends. Good natural light for 2 of the 4 studios is a plus. Price could be good but you have to do 2 x 8 hour days for the $390 option or 3 x 8 hour days for the $480 (Can't break it up) which turns into some long days. Lack of props/equipment (unless you want to pay extra $$$$) and dirty floors is another minus. Added to the fact that I got gypped on my security deposit as well as being charged extra fees doesn't really leave a good taste in my mouth. I would stick to peerspace. Plenty of studios out there that offer strobes and props for an hourly charge = less headache and aggravation in the long run. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Squash member 2009-2016 and now back since 2018. Love the facility and the no additional court fees for squash work very well. There are some quirks you have to live with that I wish we're addressed such as the courts are dedicated to juniors program but for us working professionals, its a pain not to be able to play till 7pm because of court unavailability in evening. 6pm is so much more desirable. Not sure what some of the folks have mentioend about tours and parking. There is free valet parking and there are guest tours all the time.

We had our wedding at Sound River Studios on 11/3/2018 and we couldn't be happier with it. All night and ever since, we have been hearing about what a special venue it was. Truly, the view and location cannot be beat. We both have very large families and it was a challenge to find a space in NYC that we actually liked but was spacious enough to accommodate everyone we wanted to invite and as soon as we saw it, we knew that SRS was it. Moreover, although they definitely know what they're doing and have many events a month there, we never felt like we were just another wedding. Una gave us individualized attention and felt like our friend by the time the wedding day came. On the day, she helped us from start to finish and we really couldn't have done it without her. We wanted our wedding day to be personal and unique to us and Sound River Studios allowed us to do that and within our budget - it is truly a hidden gem for NYC weddings and I absolutely can't recommend it enough.

Great place, nice and clean everything modern, quiet no one to bother you and everyone is friendly. Good machines to work out, tennis courts are great and the racquet ball courts also great. This is a good place to have in the tri-state area.

I was a member for three years and really enjoyed it. If you live in Sunnyside, this is the best gym in the area. Quiet, never croweded. Staff that gets to know you. Fun events that you can participate in. The food at the cafe is really good (though they always seem to be out of stock of something).

The only reason I give one star is that management changed recently and it seems like the perks and events started to go down in frequency. Still, can't get over running on the treadmill with an amazing view of LIC and Midtown. I only stopped going because I moved away.

A great place to workout with more than enough equipment and beautiful courts. In addition to having a lot of fitness equipment and courts, there's a spa and a chic restaurant with a fireplace and a nice view. The front desk staff is friendly and the housekeeping staff treats you like royalty. I only gave 4 stars because there's need for better communication. I think it would be great to email members about classes and events in addition to putting posters in the elevator for more of a personal touch.

I've been a member for about 8 months and love every minute of it. The amenities are gorgeous, the squash trainers are top of the line, and the view from the lounge on the second floor make the trip worthwhile. The members are extremely friends and the service is impeccable.

This place is the perfect place for people who want their peace and quiet. What I love about this club is their tennis courts and the space for racquet players. If you love the famous tennis star Andre Agassi, his professional racket stringer Roman is at this location when he is in NYC. The club also has a spa upstairs and the Swedish massage is by appointment only. The club also has a steam room and sauna for those of you who played after a game.
