English Studies graduated. When covid ended and everyone went back to schools, SWPS was lazy and stayed online. Poor quality of education, especially English studies with a second language (trust me, you will not end up with B2 level as they promise). They let graduate people from this faculty even those who don't know singulars and plurals in English (future teachers xd). This university degrades people's minds and leaves them useless in the labor market. If you are lazy but want a piece of paper, this place is for you.

This is specifically about the English Studies BA program!!!!
My time at SWPS was genuinely great. I remember being very interested in all of my classes and thought they were taught with great enthusiasm and knowledge. I'll definitely never forget Prof. Wisniewski, Prof. Gadomska, Prof. Tarnowska, and Prof. Komorowska-Janowska for such great lectures.
The level of English that my lecturers had, particularly in my program, was outstanding. As a native English speaker I felt comfortable understanding them.
In this course, everything felt well-organised and ran smoothly, especially when we switched to online-mode.
The only downsides of this university is of course the 480 hour internship, two semesters of cross training, and that the uni allows student's with very poor English to make it into the third year. Yes, most students had great English, but I remember some who just couldn't speak or write. I think the uni is setting these kinds of students up for failure.
Never less, the positive aspects of the English Studies program are of course the variety of different English subjects, the lovely cafeterias within and outside the campus, and the easy-going feeling of studying.

Each time I am getting so frustrated with how things work (do not work!) that I cannot bear it, I write a review on this "institution". And also read others reviews which help to see that I am not alone in this sinking rotten ship. Most of the negative reviews I've read so far are complete true! Trust them, that is what you're gonna face, if you enter this masked monster!
An example of a new situation. We have an exam in less than a week. We had only 6 lectures on this subject which were conducted by 2 teachers who openly contradict each other. They told us different information about the list of obligatory readings for the exam. One time stating this, then another, then third. We wrote so many emails that a free google storage space soon wil be full (more of a joke which potrayes the reality). BUT 5 DAYS BEFORE THE EXAM WE STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT EXACTLY TO PREPARE FOR! There is just 2000 pages of unsctructured literature which was not explaned. What is more funny, they contradict each other in the course content. One says "these studies are an imporant source of info", the other one "these studies are outdated and garbage". SO, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO ANSWER IN THE EXAM WHICH IS CREATED BY BOTH OF THEM??!!
Everytime I open our students' chat, I see frustration, anger, sadness and dissapointment. Constant problems, problems, and problems with uni's organization (lack of it). All the time students have to write petitions, email everyone, come to personal meetings to make uni's workers DO THEIR JOB! WE PAY A LOT! Why do we need to remind you about your responsibilities?! I am tired of hearing their excuses, empty "we understand your situation" replies, and throwing responsibilities on one another as if it was "the hot potato game".
Dear social media person who may reply to this review with the basic copy-paste "We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Contact us at.....". I do, we do contact you via students' affairs center, emailing the Dean's office, emailing Course Coordinator, emaling EVERYONE! IT DOES NOT WORK. After inevitable struggle, you solve problems which you have created but YOU DO NOT CHANGE YOUR APPROACH which is the source of all the issues!
Dear User who considers to apply there. Think 1 thousand times about it! Please! I think it is societally dangerous to feed such an unprofessionalism.

Hi I wanted to know if this university provides an comfirmed accomodation letter (just for visa sake not in reality) because my friend emailed them last week and they said they don't take part in visa processes but it's not about participating in visa process, it's just a formal letter stating that the student will be accommodated at the campus dormitory with a specific rent. My friend studies in vistula and that university provided him the accomodation letter, please let me know if this university provides any such letter. because we are coming as international students by paying money, university should help us all. Whoever is reading this please let me know if any suggestions and is it true that winter and summer breaks are not given?

Complete disorganization of studying processess at all levels. A usual situation is that in case of any issues (which is very often on the Uni's part) nobody knows anything. To solve them, even minor ones, students need to waste their time to write petitions, email bunch of people, come to the Uni and deal with constant ambiguity regarding the decision-making. The Uni waits until the very end to announce the exam dates and formats, post syllabuses after courses has been started, and create complications even when you would think there is no space for it.
At the beginning I thought it was just an unexpected situation with the pandemic, however nothing has changed when it ended. If you are used to "YOLO" approach in everything, It might be not a big deal for you. But If you value order and certainty, It might be a nightmare.
I lost my hope that something can be changed there, that's why I am writing my feedback here, instead of their internal forms. I used to put many efforts and time to help them get better, at least for the next students' generation. However I doubt that they take it seriously. Thus, I would rather dedicate my time and efforts to prevent future students from a huge dissapointment. Find a better place to gain knowledge!

Perhaps the worst Uni ever. They will make a beautiful picture of high standards and courage to teach you smth. However, inside this institution makes business, just business and nothing else. A place to buy diploma, not to become a specialist in a filed. I am studying on Bachelor's psychology program in English.

Tbh I am a bit disappointed. I was expecting higher quality of the studies for this money. Also higher quality in terms of administration. Instead I completed the exam, received the grade and I don't even know, which were the mistakes that I made in the exam. I tried to find out but they wrote back, that they cannot share with me the correct answers for the questions to which supposedly I responded wrong, and that I should find the correct answers by myself using the materials from the university or the shared bibliography from the teachers. Well, the bibliography is huge, I didn't have time to go through it all in this one year, in which I studied there, but I did check my answers with the materials from the classes and in my opinion, I had 50/60 correct answers instead of 40/60 which they maintain. I share my thoughts with them but I was ignored. I know for sure, that this was the first and the last time studying there.

Do you return application fees? My application was not accepted I guess! The status of my application is " Admissions office will contact you with detailed information." So far nobody has contacted me. I applied the same time with a friend and his application status was the same. Also all the documents we attached were rejected.
I have finally sent a mail to the University and they replied by saying that my application was rejected because "Bachelor honours with at least second class is required". This precision is usually mentioned in some other universities requirements, but is not in the case of your university. My friend has a GPA of 2.86 which is a second class honor but his application was rejected for the same reason.
In conclusion the University should be clear and precise in their requirements so that many other students don’t just scan their documents (as it is mentioned in your requirements) pay money just to see their application rejected.
Future candidate (s) be aware!
