I attended her in 2004 got my ged within 3 months, but I'll never forget the therapist they had there, I forget his name but he was there in January 2004, he evaluated me before I was able to enter job corps he told me that I may have blackouts and hurt someone without knowing it that, there's a chance I cant attend job corps, I was shocked when he said it, then he said if I see him every week I'll be allowed to attend, but little did I know he would have sessions with me, ask me to turn Around in my uniform, comment on my body, try to give me his credit card to buy things, grouping me in sessions, and watching me from down the hallways ,he would follow me upstairs to the girls floor claiming to check on me, and because he was the therapist he was able to go anywhere in the building, I couldn't believe this was all happening, I even shared it with my boyfriend at the time, he was like that's not right, you need to report him, honestly I should've because how many other girls was he doing this too. I just felt so scared there and didn't want to be left alone with him, but I had to see him every week per job corps rules. I was about 21 around that time and to this day it still hunts me that he wanted sexual acts from me and touching me inappropriately , it feels good to get that off my chest I've been carrying that so long, I really hope he is not still employed there or hopefully he got exposed.

Lehman College-School of Continuing Ed and Professional Studies is the place to be if you want to learn how to be a Medical Coder. I had the pleasure to be taught by Ms. Monique Johnson. Ms. Johnson gave us all the tools we needed to prepare for the AAPC CPC Exam. It was a wonderful experience and I truly enjoyed studying and participating along with my classmates. I am pleased to say I have a new found family and can apply the knowledge I obtained. You must be diligent and open to learn all aspects pertaining to Medical Coding. Ms. J, I am truly greatfrul and blessed! You have a beautiful spirit and most importantly you're an excellent instructor. Thank you Ms. J for everything and words cannot express my gratitude.

Job corp for young adults. That is what is for. The staff are very interesting. Not a good place for young adults that are trying to change or make a difference. Adults have issues. Go somewhere else this facility's is not good. If you want to get an education.

It’s like high school here so everyone is in your business .. . You do make friends hear , counselor don’t help you as much , the food is terrible and nasty 🤢, if hurt your leg you walk up the stairs elevators is broken , Some RA will help you some of them wouldn’t , have to open mail in front the expect you not to get in relationship with a student you met there .

Come here if you want free meals, a place to live for awhile, interview clothing and certifications, but BEWARE most staff you deal with (not all) will not want to do their job. You are basically on your own. They just want you to do what you have to do and get out of their hair. If you are lucky, you'll maybe meet one or two staff that actually cares and work with you on where you want to be, but for the most part you can tell some staff are there just for the paycheck. They do the bare minimum, and that's it. As long as they did their small part, they are done for the day. Employment is not guaranteed after Job Corps when you do everything that you have to do!!!! Also, they are quick to ask for your paystub after you finish so that they can completely cut ties with you. If your goal to come here is to leave the program with a full-time position, don't get your hopes up.

Place is a mess. Staff is not supportive does not have students best interest at heart only care for statistical monthly numbers and could care less about you or your education. Already at the center and want to leave. Be Cautious .. the Staff may manipulate you to stay and give sweet talk to keep your presence relevant for their stats . Admission counselor sells dreams but definitely worse nightmare. Will threaten you with the hospital 😮‍💨

Zero out of 10 wouldn’t recommend. Staffing is rude , steal and will set off your triggers intentionally. Definitely give broken promises and don’t really seems to have your best interest. Definitely should be investigated by the state or something. :/ staffing also steals from your personal belongings.

I have nothing but positives to speak on after my experiences with the film connection program. I had an easy time over the phone when speaking with my academic facilitator, things never felt stagnant, they never felt hard to reach when I needed help and most importantly they are good with giving consistent reminders on what it is that you need to complete. My mentor was amazing, couldn’t have asked for one better. He was very easy to work with, open to new ideas and always had informative lessons which always felt productive. Overall my time with Film connection was well worth it and I will take the great amount of knowledge I’ve received with me onto my future endeavors.

I was there dorm and classroom is easy they provide alot of help but they have strict rules and management lucky if you complete the programs anyway...
I dont feel comfortable how they set me up and wonder if it was on purpose or just coincidence.

I am nearing graduation and I am super excited about working full time in the industry. So far the school has met every expectation I have had thus far so I am looking forward to the near future and help with job placement thanks to Elliot, Zef and the entire staff at Film Connection!

I attended back in 89 when they had a plumbing course. I use to go awol at night and make runs to the store for tips. I was good at sneaking pass the cameras and security. They gave us a weekly allowance and Some People would get drugs with the money, the program was a joke to some. Many were homeless, troubled and dealing with issues that required professional help. It was hard to stay focused for myself and others. I realize now that if you do not get to the root of a persons problem you could not be successful at anything. Counseling would be a good thing to have there along with focus on mental health. You need some skill to support yourself so don’t cheat yourselves out of a possible good life, take advantage of this blessing and stay away from those that are lost and focused on the wrong things. Drugs and gangsters is played out. Let’s elevate. Best wishes to all who take advantage of this opportunity.

My daughter has been thriving in this school. The teachers are amazing and their dedication to developing socially intelligent children is passionately displayed every single day. You can not lose allowing your child to be part of the KIPP family.

I went here for my 6 grade year in 2k14 and back then I was a esol student and I was barely able to communicate well with staffs that didn't speak Spanish so it was kinda of a nightmare.

Sorry, I've never been in there but the Social Security Office is now in that building as well, or so I've been told.

I'm in KIPP: Infinity and it's tough, but it's really good because I'm a High Honor Roll student along with many others in the 8th grade but also from 5th to 6th as well. 🙂

I attended JHS 145 from 1996-2000, this place prepared me well for HS. I attended DeWitt Clinton HS in the fall of 2000. I loved 145, thanks for the great memories.

I go to this school im in 7th grade and this school is the best. There are good teachers, principle, and staff members. The children are ok and we are secured as a safe school so if you looking for a junior highschool for your child this is the school for him/her!
