Reviews

My son started Grade 5 at Fieldstone School, and he absolutely loves it. The school offers a wide variety of clubs and sports activities, along with seasonal events like the Spring and Christmas concerts. Last year, students in my son's class had the incredible opportunity to play instruments at a Marlee hockey game, an event beautifully instructed and organized by their dedicated music teacher.
Fieldstone also hosts several science fairs and math competitions throughout the school year. They even collaborate with the University of Toronto for science events, adding a rich, educational experience to the curriculum. The students also get to participate in Shakespearean drama plays and performances, which is a wonderful cultural experience.
The Cambridge curriculum is impressively systematic, allowing parents to track their child's progress and strategically identify areas for improvement. With small class sizes, the teachers are able to provide individual attention, showing genuine care for each student.
My son had a splendid year in Grade 5, and we’re looking forward to another year filled with the same amazing experiences.

My daughter is at Fieldstone for 3 years now and we love it! The school teachers and team members are very professional and friendly. They are knowledgeable and very attentive to each child needs and style. The curriculum is very strong and well covered. I definitely recommend Fieldstone to all families.

I'm very pleased with Fieldstone. I have 2 kids who attended grade 2 & 5. They both had excellent school years with lots of attention given to them by their teachers. They'll definitely be returning.

Fieldstone is very good school. My kids joined this school two years ago. The teachers and staff are amazing - dedicated, friendly and caring. I love the small class sizes. If kids need extra help , they receive it. Teachers are always willing to help students. Communication with teachers and staff has been great. I am so glad we chose fieldstone to give a chance. Keep it up with good work fieldstone.

Fieldstone school is an integral part of our community. Fieldstone students are tremendously well-rounded students having the ability to explore music, arts, science and more. We chose Fieldstone as an extension of our home with their commitment to academics, the support they give their students and how all grades engage with eachother.

As a student, it is extremely hard to find a school that suits my priorities. I was blessed to find an amazing school like Fieldstone that nurtures a student from day one. Prior to coming to Fieldstone I attended a private school in Toronto, that did not care about the wellbeing of their students and simply stressed students out and provided a horrible environment. Fieldstone manages to provide an environment that do not stress out the student; rather they make the students life more comfortable, while also broadening their knowledge. For any it may concern, I recommend studying at Fieldstone since the curriculum and the teachers are the best the world can find! As of right now I have received offers from multiple top-notch universities (such as KCL,UCL, and MCPHS), and I can only thank Fieldstone for providing wonderful education!

Crescent is a great school. Overall their education is very impressive and the curriculum is pretty challenging. The courses provide a variety of different interests through their courses (ranging from tech, to health and social sciences, etc.). Despite this, the school comes with a very hefty tuition (40k per year for upper school as of 2024) and doesn't offer many facilities to come with it (no swimming pool, no actual tennis courts, no ice rink, not a full track, and a lack of many others). Additionally, the cafeteria and food, although seeing improvements from the previous years, can considered "sub-par" to say the least. With this said, whether you decide to send your child here or not is your choice and shouldn't be dictated by this comment. Although, for the price, many other private institutions in Toronto do provide what Crescent lacks (UCC, etc.)

WillowWood School has changed my life forever in a very positive way. I knew from the minute I joined WillowWood School back in September 2008 as a Grade 7 student, that was the school that was going to change me socially and emotionally (academically, I have always done very well). As an individual like myself with autism, social skills are a struggle. WillowWood gave me the confidence to find those skills again. At my high school graduation, I was one of the two valedictorians. Fred, Joy, and to the teachers at WillowWood, you have changed my life forever.

Fieldstone is amazing! My son loves going to school there. The curriculum and small class sizes is what drew us to the school initially, but it’s the community aspect that confirms we made the right decision in enrolling him there.
The teachers, administration and parents have the student’s best interest in mind and are so supportive and accommodating. The entire community provides a positive experience for the students to grow in a safe and healthy environment.
Everyone knows everyone’s name and each student looks out for one another…no matter the grade.
Can’t recommend this school enough!

An oasis of true family values, community building, friendship and guidance to boys. Blessed to have this as our son school. Congrats to Dr. Sheridan and talented team!
Also worth highlighting the emphasis on arts on top of the “traditional” curriculum! So proud of all the art produced there.

What a blessing to be part of the Fieldstone community! From the beginning, Melany has been our key entry contact, ensuring that everything was smooth for us. The well-being of my kids matters greatly to me, and I am also sensitive to academic standards. The Cambridge advanced program is exceptionally nourishing for my kids. Also, the massive outdoor field allows children to play freely during recess and recharge before continuing their learning. Overall, there is a good balance between academics, extracurricular, and fun activities. Words would not be enough to express my gratitude to Fieldstone.

We transferred to Northmount last year right after March Break, and the difference is amazing. Our son is confident, is getting great marks, teachers take their time to make sure the subject is crystal clear and understood, and outside of the schooling they are also brought up with values such as Responsibility, Accountability, Self Control, etc....
I would highly recommend you take a good look at the school for your son's education and life lessons

Very helpful with the admissions process. Truly invested in finding the right match for students - even those with unique situations (e.g., foster care, adoption, and more). Admissions respects all children and uses a strengths based approach when evaluating each applicant while honouring the needs (e.g., high academic achievement, family like environment, classroom behavioural expectations, school climate) of the school and classroom.

Best school ever bro. I love it so much pls make it go to grade 12 so I can go to it

I had so much fun at Willowwood. I had best experience with all my teachers and I made lots of friends

I was here for grade 4 and at the time i had a weird phase going on at that time so i asked the teachers to call me sky so obviously they did but it feels weird bc they didnt even ask my parents other wise its a good school

*As I have noticed almost all the negative reviews are from those who could not get admission for whatever reasons, and actually have no experience with this school; I thought I should share my experience as a parent of two who have been going to Bayview Glen for more than 7 years:
Bayview Glen Independent School is an exceptional institution that deserves every one of its five stars! From my experience as a parent, I have seen firsthand the dedication, empathy, and kindness that permeates every aspect of this school. It's not just a place of education; it's a place where students are nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to be the best versions of themselves.
The teachers at Bayview Glen are nothing short of amazing. Their commitment to their students' success goes beyond the classroom. They create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters a love for learning. It's evident that they genuinely care about each student's well-being and development, both academically and personally.
One of the standout features of Bayview Glen is its Head of Lower School, Jesse Denison. Mr. Denison's leadership is exemplary. He leads by example and is a role model for both students and staff. His approachability, dedication, and passion for education are truly inspiring. Under his guidance, the Lower School has thrived, and I've seen remarkable growth in my children's educational journey.
Bayview Glen Independent School doesn't just settle for mediocrity; they drive their students to excellence. Whether it's in academics, arts, sports, or character development, the school sets high standards and provides the necessary resources and support for students to achieve greatness.
If you're seeking an institution that values not only academic achievement but also empathy, kindness, and character development, look no further than Bayview Glen Independent School. It's a place where students flourish, where teachers excel, and where every child's potential is realized. My family and I are grateful to be part of this wonderful community, and we couldn't be happier with the education and experiences our child is receiving here. Five stars simply don't do justice to how exceptional this school truly is!

these school is good but I I'm student it's a good shcool but li,e the teacher are don't care the student do fight the teachers only get mad whan ur mean its not cheap to me it's and ur kids learn about God pls stope hateing

I went here in third grade. Great experience with the teachers other than the fact that the staff were extremely racist. My parents were ignored by the front desk lady because they were Asian. I personally loved my teacher, but the students in my class were awful. I was bullied all throughout 3rd grade, and it got to the point where I had to move away. The teachers are good at teaching, sure, but are they good at being examples for students? Far from it. The school might’ve changed over the years but if it hasn’t, well, I feel bad for the students. Try to look for another school, heard their interview fee is also ridiculous.

Dear Mellissa,
My son is at his second week of summer camp and loving it!
It is so wonderful to see him happily running off to play with his new friends, hearing he is enjoying each of his morning subjects and making requests for future playdates.
WillowWood and your team have been kind, welcoming and accommodating. I feel great relief when I drop him off knowing he is in good hands and he's happy.
Thank you, thank you☺️

BVG doesn’t care about students. They just want money. Every student from BVG point of view is a source of thousand dollars
Don’t waste your money and time in this school. Don’t send your kids to BVG if you care about them.
I don’t recommend it.

I cant say enough good things about WillowWood. It is a community of amazing teachers, students and parents who want only the best for your child. My son has just finished his first year here (grade 2) and has thrived . It is a great feeling knowing he is in a supportive environment that comes up with solutions to your child's learning challenges. Overall, he couldnt be happier.

My son attended WillowWood from grade 8 to grade 12. I wish I had him start earlier. Quality education with an informal atmosphere that develops trust and confidence.

My daughter joined WillowWood summer school when she was in grade 8 to see if this is the right fit for her for high school. Her experience was amazing she did not mind studying in the summer which shows how happy she was. The teachers were so nice and helpful and answered all my questions with a big smile always. She is about to finish her first year and she is really enjoying her time studying and participating in all the extra activities they offer. As a parent I always wanted to make sure my daughter is happy safe learning and enjoying her time all this is offered by Williwwood. As a mom I can say I am so lucky to have found the school from the teachers to the administrators they are amazing and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work patience understanding and support. The school organizes lots of activities and they try their best to let all the kids participate from the Christmas show to the yearly trip which was Japan this year (my daughter was lucky enough to go she had a blast and the trip was so organized from start to finish) to the play Annie to the spring fest. All this fun and still the kids are studying and working hard to reach their potential with the non ending support of the teachers. I can see all the improvements and changes that happened to my daughter and I am so happy and thankful for each and everyone in the school.

Submitted an application, they send me a date after a few weeks, I told them we can’t be there at that time and date, it is okay if it can’t be accommodated, with an “unfortunately / sorry “ email. Unfortunately, I simply got no reply. One can already tell the service of this school who charge the price same as other top notch school. It’s not about whether or not we get in or if they can reschedule an appointed time, it’s about basic PR and etiquette. So, we didn’t bother sending an email to ask them again, we get what we need to know about the school.

This is my School. And its soo fun

Can't say enough wonderful things about the school - the principal and faculty are simply outstanding! Amazing attention to academics AND life skills development, and always looking for fun and contemporary ways to engage the next generation of leaders they are helping develop! My child has been attending for 4 years now, and we've also had the pleasure of doing an appearance to welcome the kids back from summer break.

Pizza lunch for the whole year on Friday and in June fiezzies go to this school I kinda aggravated I agree with Maria

This school needs to be closed down because it is absolutely awful. I wish I could give it a zero rating for how badly it lets staff and other students to treat the students. Just to look like a great school, the school officials at this school won't mind turning a blind eye to literal ABUSE. Please send your kids somewhere else. - a former student

10 long year's at one of the greatest school in Toronto. Price don't matter when the quality is this high. I Love BayviewGlen !!

How do I put it. Education is a service, not a product. The problem with most private school out there is that they see themselves as an organization selling a product. A product is something that you need to learn to use it, regardless of how sophisticated or ordinary it is. A service is something that serves you, assist you in doing what you need to do, in this case, would be learning and realizing your potential. My son is thriving in all area since the beginning of his arrival at the school, they put him in the math pod a grade higher, and he feels challenged so he would focus, and the help is always there if he needs further clarification. It is a small school but as a person who came from another small private school (in fact it was slightly bigger), they have all the things that a big school has (of course, except for the number of headcounts), a cafeteria where socialization happens during lunch (who wants to eat at your work station), library with librarian, lunch and after school clubs almost everyday, an art room for art class (and they teach arts, not just crafts to young children, if you know what I mean by that). And communication is very transparent, and honest. A great team of people.

Hello can you help me with a contact number to reach out to the school, I wish to ask about the programs offered and tuition.
Thanks
Thanks

I wanted to say thank you for all the stuff from the school to all the kids parents they're doing such a amazing job helping others through tough times God-bless all of you from art family to your families we wish you happy holidays!!🤗🥰🤗🥰🙏🙏🙏

Seneca Hill Private School is a wonderful place for kids to learn, develop and grow. The school culture is very welcoming and positive and everyone feels like in a big family which is quite different from public schools. The students are like siblings who are polite and helpful to each other. No bullying happens in the school. The principal Mr. Esper and teachers showed genuine care to the students. They are making great efforts to help each student and making sure that nobody is left behind. With the small size of the class, every student can get the attention and support from the teachers. The school also provides individualized learning for the students who need it. Under the tremendous support from the principal and teachers, our son has made great progress in a short period of time. Thanks a lot for the school members and wish the school all the best!

We are very happy with Prestige School. Management and teachers really care about students’ success. We are glad that we sent our two kids to this school. They both went to universities after graduating.

It was very fancy and nice but the tuition cost is incredibly high so I recommend the facilities but for the price I don’t know if it’s worth it

As a student this is a bad school. The principal is mean. The teachers are unprofessional some of them are nice and kids have fun but others run everything. The school is cheap and do 0 renovations. The students are constantly swearing and fighting and bullying each other. And the school board dosent know what it falls like to constantly switch classes and between Nelson and Math up don't go to this school. IAMCHAVIER you know who I am.

Crescint is a greate school and my sun lerned a lot about the bennufits and relayshins of the tacktonick playts in the world.
There motto is: Very tate stand moose and Crescent moose In trooth we stand and gorw..
Vary good school ,amd i would recomend!
I would rate the experience 3.14 out of 3.1415.

Most of the bad reviews are coming from troll accounts. Please don't take them seriously. I had a great experience at BVG, I spent 14 years there. I was always challenged, learned so much, made friends, and the teachers are wonderful. The school is very diverse, so you get to meet people from all different backgrounds, and if it wasn't for BVG teaching me about and having students from various cultures, I may not be where I am today which is in the cross-cultural media field. My now-husband and I visited for the alumni reunion and he was impressed with the facilities they have and the people he met that I knew. Google reviews and rankings do not say everything about a school. Go Gryphons!

From kindergarten to eighth grade, I attended the school, and the people there were really cruel to other students and were bullies. The school also conducts no improvements and is rather inexpensive/cheap, and the teachers that were there were extremely unpleasant.I sincerely wish I could offer 0 stars, so if you don't want your child to develop insecurities and mental problems, don't send them here.

Mr. Bush is a good teacher. If you are in his class, he likes to be emailed about the latest apple news. Overall, 6 out of 9 stars if you always ask for 2 garlic breads at lunch.

This is a great school. Best Teachers (Notably Mr. Bush). I want to see more things though. I need Powerschool back #BringPowerSchoolBack.

We have been so incredibly impressed with EVERYTHING Seneca Hill has to offer. Our two daughters have flourished under the care of the amazing teachers, as well as the incredible staff. The past two years have been so difficult for families and this school is so supportive and has provided so much support to our girls mental, emotional, social and academic development.

Seneca Hill Private School is not just a best educational institute we have experienced in past 4 years but also treat kids as their own. Simply put, it’s like family to us since then. Ms Sherin, Mr Esper and their team are exceptional human beings. My personal request to both of them to open up new branch in Oshawa soon so that our kids can start study there in person.

WillowWood is a great school with strong sense of community. It feels like a big happy family. Their Pod program for Lower and middle school allow kids to navigate the subjects at their own pace (both faster or slower than their grade) so they don't get bored or overwhelmed. I have never seen anything like it in other schools that we were in. Individualized learning and one-on-one support is also another one of WillowWood's many strengths. We have been at WillowWood for 9 years and there is nothing but good memories and appreciation for this amazing school.

This school has been an incredible experience for our children. They LOVE going to school everyday. The teachers have all been exceptional. They helped catch our daughter up after she fell behind in the Public school system. The “mom and pop” feel that someone tried to say was a negative is what I love about this school. They care, they are invested in the children’s education and well being. They come up with creative ways to push the kids to achieve their next level. Navigating covid has been done with great care, caution and comfort. Well done. We recommend this school to everyone.

I had a very bad experience with the receptionist when I was following up on my call to arrange a school tour for JK & SK. After I left my initial message with a receptionist, no one tried to contact me for 3 business days. When I called again, the entire time the receptionist was talking down to me. She told me that my kids may not even get in as they do written assessment for all grades and that I should probably just go to another school. I'm surprised that any good school would keep a receptionist that is so unprofessional and allow this kind of behaviour. I've never seen such awful service at any private school I visited.
EDIT: Vice Principal, Yana, called me after reading my review and apologized, offering to come see the school. She was very polite. Unfortunately, I just don't feel safe with my kids going to a school where this kind of behaviour is tolerated. After reading some of other reviews, I can see I was not the first to have this experience and seems that nothing is being done to correct it.

This School is Amazing. Great teacher's, Friendly Student's, and Great Principal.
Things you need to know, First off there are no lockers. Another thing that you need to know is that your going to be staying in one classroom for the whole entire day and you will only have one teacher but like I said before this is an awesome school and I definitely recommend going to this school. Plus it's kindergarten to grade 8

We want to express our Gratitude to the Directors and Staff at Prestige Private School. Thank you for always thinking of the students and teachers. It is amazing to see how in a short period of time, last year in March, you have managed to bring the whole school online, so students can continue learning. Your commitment and passion, shines through. Wishing you a wonderful 2021.

Don't choose this college for study i got refusel in march 2020 but they didn't refund my fees yet i sent alots of mail but they can't reply single mail.

Our son transferred to Northmount this year from another school. Despite COVID-19 protocols and restrictions, this school has surpassed our expectations in every way. The curriculum is structured, organized and the parents are kept appraised on what is going on all the time. through detailed communications on Edsby. In addition to the rigorous academic standards, art, phys-ed and music teaching is of high quality. The teachers and the principal are palpably invested in the school and the character building of the boys. The parent community is warm and welcoming.

I am not happy with this College, they do not respect the terms of refund of tuition fees which are 90 days after providing the proofs for which we want a refund of full tuition fees. I have been requesting a refund since July 2020 , no follow-up until then, and they are unable to give correct answers .. it is only a college of crooks and scammers, I have started the procedure to file a complaint against them if by the end of November I have not received my full refund. So I can't recommend you this College. They are unable to give rights reasons, but i will show them that they can't play with me...See in your own eyes how an genuine institution can have this kind of behaviour. I wrote them in August but they answered on september proof that they are not serious,

The college provides great hands on training for Manual and Automation Testing. Technologies that are used are very up to date. I highly recommend attending.

Prestige Private School has a good reputation for sports and student support. It's private elementary school is recognized for its longstanding commitment to academic rig our and excellence in a small, nurturing environment – but that’s just the beginning. All the teachers a close-knit community that celebrates creativity, diversity, and innovation, where all the students, learn, and grow together under one roof, like a real good friends. Private high school here also is one of the best in Toronto and even all over GTA. My nephew got here an excellent education in a warm, collaborative environment. He is highly appreciate the way Prestige Private School cares about each student and the friendly environment between teachers and students here. I would highly recommend this private school for your children!

We cannot say enough about this school as Mr. Esper and his supportive team helped us through a big transition. Our family moved from Boston to Toronto and needed an academically rigorous but caring environment for our son entering Gr 8. Seneca Hill Private offered just that. Our son who enjoys Math and English in particular was more than adequately challenged by his teachers and fellow students, and he also knew that the environment would support him in every possible way. This put our minds at ease tremendously as parents and our son gained a lot of confidence. If a family is looking for individualized academic support and a nurturing environment for a child to reach her/his potential, this school is the perfect choice.

My son, went to Canadian Technology College for Software Quality Assurance Tester. Overall he was pleased with the course and found the Job after three weeks.

Our son had a wonderful time at Seneca Hill Private school. He was there since Grade 1 and now in Grade 3. Our sincere thank goes to the principal Mr. Nicolas Esper , the director Ms.Leila Esper and to all the teachers at Seneca Hill. The school went beyond the curriculum for Science, Math, French etc.In addition, the school offered competitive programs for students to participate in (Math Kangaroo , Polar expressions to name a few..) which allowed the students to academically progress. The school also invests in character development.
We highly appreciate your service at Seneca Hill!
Thank you!

As a student who has been here for all my life I can proudly say that this is a wonderful experience. I still have 1 year to go and I have not had a single problem. There is a very nice atmosphere around the school and all teachers do their jobs extremely well. The curriculum is 1 grade ahead for elementary and all students learned better than in public schools. The high school curriculum meets or exceeds expectations. All of this I can say from first-hand experience. I recommend Prestige School to anyone looking for a good, affordable, safe, and fun school to learn in.

Disgusting school=disgusting students. First off, let's start with the interview fee. Yes, you heard that right; there's a non-refundable $100 fee to schedule an interview, which makes it clear that they don't take you seriously unless you give them your money.
After taking the tour, I was disgruntled to find single ply toilet paper. Their athletics program is a joke, although Hamoud on the senior soccer team is pretty good. Don't bother coming in for the interview unless you're willing to waste $100.

Our daughter has been at Prestige for 4 years. Wonderful teachers and administration. Special emphasis is placed on the school atmosphere. I especially appreciate the elaborate school musical plays that are put together several times each year by the teachers and students. High level is placed on education with emphasis on math. Also very happy that lunch is always a healthy, hot and balanced meal that is fresh and brought in daily from a Russian restaurant. Over all great job.

Outdated program , old system, old computers, felt like 90's . Very grumpy attitude within the stuff. After completing the course and passing CSTB exam , they failed to give me my certificate due to uncompleted homework which is not required by the board. I could just pay $300 and do this exam from home. Very upset with this guys and will be calling ministry of education.

If you live in this neighborhood you can understand my frustrations with this school. During pick up and drop off times despite having built a larger parking lot the school has absolutely NO control over the dangerous people dropping kids off who are parking illegally in a school bus loading zone reversing down the wrong side of the road, blocking traffic heading towards Jane, I could literally go on ALL day. It's a losing battle. Eventually someone will get hurt due to these drivers and maybe then the school will do something about it. Why does someone have to get hit or run over for this issue to be addressed? Not very sensible at all. I'm not sure what's worse the bad drivers parking in a school bus zone in the wrong direction every single day or the crossing guard at the intersection of driftwood and stong who holds up traffic coming from Jane with kids scattering like cockroaches. Very dangerous.

An incredibly amazing school that focuses not only in the academic excellence but also in the character shaping of boys. In tangible ways, we see the difference how the teachers bring out the best in our boys. And what's more, there is a unique partnership with parents when it comes to the educational upbringing. Good moral values, virtues and kindness are reminded daily, lived and practiced. A dynamic community that one will just be proud to be a part of, as I am.

This is a fantastic school for boys, with very engaged management, teachers and staff, strong spirit of excellence in academics and character development, and practice of the Catholic faith in a very natural way. I am able to say this from experience as a proud parent of the school.

The level of knowledge to start a course here is not very high, so is perfect for anyone who wants to enter in an IT career without having a lot of knowledge with computers.

My son is graduating this year after five years at this hidden gem. He will leave this wonderful establishment fully prepared for any future challenges. We are sad to leave as a family but we are happy to leave a spot for a new family to experience the joy of being a Northmount family!

I've done 5 highschool courses (4 maths and physics 12) there so far it's it's been great. I did everything at the location on major mac. Gregory the current math and physics teacher is very knowledgeable and is actually quite fun to talk to. Prestige school is far better then the highly recommend discovery academy as you actually learn. My only complaint would be the very thin walls.

Decent people, good teachers but experienced ones are all retiring, pretty good lunch, great extra-curricular activities. Admissions is becoming questionable tbh. Would like to see some bigger push for technology related classes/facilities. Overall I rate the experience 6 out of 9.

This school has truly changed my life. I've learned a lot during my time so far here, not only about school but how to act as a person on this earth. Crescent has taught me how to be a leader, a friend, a student, an athlete, but most importantly as a man. Choosing to attend this school has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It's hard to believe I have less than five months left!

We have our boys in the school since 1998, our youngest is still there.
Great Academic , excellent teachers and most of all they know how to approach and educated the boys in a way that they are happy there!

I am proud parent of a student in a private school in Toronto. I am glad to look back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers of the Prestige School, a top private school located at the 44 Appian Drive, Toronto, M2J 2P9. I sent my son there and would like to express my sincerest gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw materials but warmth is the vital elements for the growing plant and for the soul of a child.
