If I could give zero stars, I would, this is hands-down the worst school I’ve ever attended not because of the classes not because of the curriculum, but because they’re coaching staff that signs you up for classes are terrible. I was signed up for classes when I specifically asked not to be and wasn’t told until two weeks into the semester when I asked to be withdrawn, they said that would be fine and then they hit me with the $800 bill for withdrawing late. When I called the coach and told them they need to handle the situation because I am not paying an amount that I shouldn’t have been billed in the first place I was told it would be handled. Here we are going into the next year and now they have put a collection on my credit report since I refused to pay that amount that I really did not owe. When I just called today to get the collection removed and tell them they need to handle it again. I was told well it’s too late now to dispute anything so you’re gonna have to just pay the amount. Keep in mind I have already asked to dispute the amount before it went to collections. This entire school is useless. Do not waste your money on a degree from the school and if you do, do not rely on them to sign you up for any classes you do that on your own without their assistance . I’ve already told them I will wait until this collection falls off of my report on its own because I’m not paying as a single mother about to pay out what would essentially be my entire paycheck to a bill that I shouldn’t have received in the first place.

Why is Ch Larry Blum's name on the memorial and not Ch Steve Thornton's.? Ch Thornton died in Kuwait in 2005.

Had an awesome time. Katt Williams was phenomenal. I was great to see Monique on stage again. She killed it.

Great experience. Had a good time and in and out. Terribke parking handled very well.

Noelle Ziggy continues to use homophobic slurs when seeing me. due to being bound to a wheelchair and having red hair, she likes to point at me and scream "Hot Wheels" infront of everyone.

Lots of things to see at university

The college is great and all, especially the professors. The only problem is the paper work. Whenever I try to reach something related to my trascript or any other papers, I would always be told to reach out for something that is not part of the college.

It was superb….. visited the college for a purpose !!

I'm an HCC student, so I feel like I have credibility to share my experience. HCC is a great college with tons of cool places, great buildings, events and programs. For example, RCF building is top-notch. You should see it for yourself if you don't believe me. Also, a program, I'm not it yet, called Howard Pride is about empowering black students. Mr. Lamb makes sure you are safe in his office! One last thing I want to say is about the food pantry. They have hours, but when they are open, it looks like heaven inside. They also have a meal kit for you, so you can go home and cook food to your liking. There are more things I want to add, but this would take an hour to read if I did. HCC is a great college to get credits in general.

It's definitely a Beautiful place, GORGEOUS campus, with loyal faculty, staff, professors, teachers, administrators, security, coaches, players, and a host of students with smiling faces everywhere. One of the biggest school in the state of South Carolina and most definitely one of my favorite schools.

My experience is to help socially aware people who are not aware in the society and give them ideas about education and health care to help those who were neglected.

Got a degree in 2019 via the “Palmetto College.” Life appeared good. The covid mess shut down everything as I started looking for jobs! Still having hope in my college degree, I started to look for jobs after the extreme covid mess calmed down…no jobs hire college students now. I went to school for nothing!!! I even called to see if the Palmetto College degree even had value, to see if I actually had a degree. So now I owe money on garbage, college landfill garbage. I am academically advanced to flip burgers. Don’t go to college. Don’t. USC has no regard for graduates. Handshake? Garbage. Don’t offer regional campuses when the regions don’t even network with regional area jobs. I am #!%~ing mad! I regret my years in college. I could have rotted without my degree and degree debt. Oh, and don’t expect to afford payments on 10 dollars hourly. So, anyone stay away!!!!! Don’t go. What an absolute shame!!!!

My wife and I are early 70's graduates 🎓 from Carolina. Today we observed the 55 anniversary of my proposal which took place in the fountain garden adjacent to the Administration Building ... walking around the Horseshoe was a pleasant trip down memory lane.

Great place full of dedicated professionals whose mission is to provide spiritual care to Soldiers.

Couldn’t be more disappointed to a university which sent an offer message, and as late as two days afterwards told me that it was a “clerical error.” Even worse, after the declination, the migration office sent me messages of congratulations and guidance on how to get a VISA in order to study there. Wow, what an unforgettable series of nightmares!

Great place!!!

Appears as though you might be charging to much by the comment section reviews. Anyway I'm here for something else.
Do you know that on September 13 2022 Lindsey Graham announced that he and other Senate radical REICH extremist will be introducing a NATIONAL ABORTION BAN ahead of the midterms, confirming that if they regain control of congress they (radical REICH extremist) will take away more Reproductive Rights

The online program at this school is awful. The financial aid and student services department absolutely suck, losing documents as you send them in, taking days upon days to call you back etc. I do not recommend this college I recently transferred to The University of South Carolina online.

This is an excellent college, in which professors really know how to teach and to relate to students. Most students will transfer to four-year colleges and so will save a lot of money. I have talked with university professors. They have a great deal of respect for Howard CC. One especially noted the excellence in advising students.

Honestly, I enjoyed my time. My biggest grievance was that the Disability Support Services didn't specifically target any particular disability. They offered "support" that was not particularly useful for my mathematical disability. Besides that, I met so many great professors who were inspirations for me. The events available to participate in were fun too. I liked Visiting Rep Stage up until that Joseph Ritsch said something offensive to me. Besides that, I felt that Howard Community College provided me with an opportunity to meet new people, enjoy great food, and I guess expand my horizons. Despite the many personal struggles I faced at this community college, I am glad that some professors were understanding and actually took the time to explain things thoroughly to me so that I would not fail. Overall, HCC is a good place to begin ones journey towards a higher education!

I've lived in the Columbia College area since 1971, and I've watched her grow and the community as well.. Columbia College is a great college for you or your graduate high school student(s).

Just passed through whilst visiting Columbia, and I was quite impressed. The trees were outstanding and tall, the buildings were old but still looked good, and there was a fairly distinctive campus feel despite being in a rather large city. The palmettos make the campus much nicer and southern-feeling, and the various live oaks around campus give a very “Old South” feel. Cannot attest to the academics, though I did see a lot of “frat boy-types” and wondered if this school has that type of culture. The few people I chatted with were very nice and welcoming, and I would recommend visit the McKissick Museum or other places around here to get a sense of the culture and history of the school. G(oh) Cocks! Cheers.

Quiet and good place to focus on your school away from other busy cities. There are great teachers who are willing to help you if you ask. A lot services are provided by the school to help students with their school and social work. It get boring sometimes because it is a small city but overall there are a lot of activities to do

Fantastic campus setting. First time visit and was impressed with the architecture and upkeep of the entire area. It will be a great 1st year experience for my son.

HCC has been a great experience so far. The staff here are very respectful. There are many programs that they offer and they offer support for students. The campus is a good size but everything is in a walkable distance. I would recommend this college to anyone pursuing a degree.

Beautiful campus, student centred college in South Carolina

I love Howard community college. Staff and professors are so helpful. They have so many programs and resources such as free tutoring, 1 0n 1 mentor coaching, office hours, transfer fairs anatomy and physiology study lab, , internship office , personal counseling to help propel students to success. This is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. This experience is so priceless!!! Thank you HCC!!! I feel like there are always trying to help , they always ask how may I may help you everywhere you go!!!

If I could rate this School a zero i would..
I just started this school this year n January, and it's so hard to get in touch with your coaches they don't email you back or contact you, the school is very unprofessional..the people that work there they don't know what they doing...I'm.Just ready to give up..

My daughter attends this institution it's been wonderful, as a parent we feel that she is safe and getting a great education. The staff is a true blessing and I would like to Thank them all.

5/5 stars. They raised my boi jack douglass. Meme Bigboy for life. Also I used to live around there. Great Place. Really Dank.

RUDE, UNORGANIZED, UNINFORMED, UNPROFESSIONAL, NONCHULANT, AND CONDESCENDING EMPLOYEES! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I JUST GRADUATED WITH MY BBA AND I HAD TO LITERALLY HANDLE ALL OF MY AFFAIRS FOR 4 YEARS.

School year is to long. Us parents need to enjoy summer also

This has been the worst experience ever. One star is to good. When I say we literally worked for two weeks trying to finalize all paperwork ahead of arrival and receive confirmation that everything was done. Only to arrive the following Monday and my daughter need $2000 more to start school. If you want my advice force your daughter to go elsewhere. The previous post about the view is correct but then that's not what your there for. From financial aid to finance there is absolutely know decent customer service not communication going on. You feel like a ping pong ball going back and forth. I will be pushing my daughter to complete elsewhere. Absolutely HORRIBLE.

Great school with a great support staff

If I could 0 stars I would. None of the staff seem like they really care. They are unprofessional. My success coach was fired and I wasn't even notified until months later and I haven't been assigned a new one. Enrolled in Jan. 2017 and its now June 12, 2017 and I am still having problems getting my financial aid. I regret even attending this school

I feel like I truly missed out on the college experience going here. I never saw guys, there is no way to really access town without using the buses, and half the teachers write their own textbooks. The view out the dorm Windows tends to be a tree or a parking lot. Preference is given to sports people as usual, and the science department was so underfunded that half the equipment was outdated.
Textbook costs were routinely over 700 a semester, for compsci. And I was downloading half my books for free!!
Not to mention that tuition has only gone up drastically. You can get a better education for cheaper elsewhere. Like USC.

Had my most amazing student-exchange experience here. Mr. Brenfleck and Mr. Decker is my favorite. Also Mrs. Dear, Dr. Fradkin, Mr. Sackett (though I think he's no longer there), also Mr. Midkiff for U.S. History.

I go there for school I'm a kid

This school is not the best option ! I started my classes January 9th ,2017 and was given the run around in what was needed for my UEH REVIEW so I can receive financial aid & now I am denied and not able to pay for my classes nor can I start my spring classes due to this , I am a straight A student and This is outrageous and not acceptable ! When you call no one knows anything and it's sad because my success coach never answers for me neither does she respond to emails accurately, I am disappointed and I will make sure everyone knows how Strayer University Columbia,SC campus operates! I am trying to provide a better life for my daughter and going to school to chase my dream career to only be frustrated and not be able to pay for classes !

Great place, love it. Generally good staff, good students.

Extraordinary academic program for academically talented children from grades 2-5. Escaroles instructors are veteran teachers who specialize in keeping gifted students engaged.

Super excited to start in the fall!
Edit: Have been here 3 years now, and I graduate in Dec 2019. Still in love with the school :) It has exceeded my expectations. CC has amazing science programs, great professors, and truly caring staff. This is a place where you can get a rigorous education amongst people that want you to succeed and give you support and help along the way. I reccomend this school to those that want a good foundation in the liberal arts as well as a top notch education in their major. I love this place. I know you will, too!

Very unprofessional!!!
I am so frustrated right now. They sell you pipe dreams. When you send in all of your information just to get you enrolled they say everything is fine. Once they get you committed then they come with all the things that you have to turn in. My financial aid still haven't went through and when tried to call the campus the receptionist either sends me to another automated line or they just don't pick up the line. This campus definitely needs better management.

Extremely pleased with this school! Mr. Newton is an excellent principal that is supported by a fantastic group of educators and support staff.
Our daughter loves the Escolares program and absolutely loves math and reading. Highly recommend visiting this school for additional information. We are glad we did!

Various scams and scandals that takes place on a regulatory basis. Although devastating, it's nothing new.

great

Enrollment was fast and easy did everything in one day. The placement test was very 1st grade to me and I love it!! The staff was very opening and engaged in a lot of conversation with me. I was able to ask all my probing questions and they were able to answer each one. I'm excited to meet my professors and began my journey to success!! Great school so far....

I liked this school it was fun

Not your average community college, it feels like it could be a private university if they added some dorms and I love the architecture, its very modern. I love it here all of my professors have been great. Just beware of the math department, my experience with math at this school has been a little rocky, I've only had a couple of good professors out of all the classes that I've taken.

My granddaughter LAURENEtheridge is a student there.

I loved going to class at Strayer University Columbia campus when I was there. The professors where very knowledgeable and would always assist me when ever I needed. I would like to personally thank Dr. Latrice Cooper for her patience with me and understanding, she is certainly a superstar professor in my opinion. I would also like to thank Dr. Begashaw, I would not had made it through Statistic, without his faith in me and my work. I would recommend Strayer University Columbia Campus to anyone.

My grandson is a 3rd grader there at the Escolares School for the Gifted and Talented. I am very pleased with his learning. Since coming to the school in the second grade he has developed an obsession with reading books.

اطلق معهههد تعلمت فيه

Awesome to be a 5th grader in Escolares here.
