UMass set me up to be successful. I earned a degree in computer science here a few years back and am very thankful for the program. I learned so much from all the professors and even tho I've skilled up significantly since, it gave me everything I needed to hit the ground running.

It amazes me how this college pushes a social agenda of how horrible a place America is if a person is not Caucasian.
Each course has a slant towards how America is just racist and then 'educates' you on why America is racist.
We vote with our money, and I have chosen I will no longer spend those dollars here as I just can not stomach the racism as this place indoctrinates the unsuspecting.

So far, the professors I've enrolled with have been excellent. When you need financial or tutoring advice, reaching the right people is not always easy.
The teachers are good, but the office workers take too long to respond to students' emails or phone calls.
I had the biggest problems at this college, particularly with the finance department. While you think you set up a payment plan for the semester, you realize you have not withdrawn any money from your account. The student offers a two-month payment plan instead of three months without informing you. It has happened three times to me.

My professional background is in education and psychology. Except for one professor, the background of the rest was strictly in theology or related to the church. I felt I couldn’t relate, and their teaching became foreign for me, like if the theology field was unfamiliar with modern society. I withdrew from the University, and I realize that was the best decision. Research from Pew in 2016 found that New England is the leading irreligious region in the United States, and I noticed that in Seminary. Pastors are becoming more activists than anything else because the soul salvation business is gone except for people from older generations. Everyone has different goals, but you don’t need to burn the midnight oil in Seminary to end up as an activist.

Absolutely beautiful place. But my daughter as a freshman had a ridiculously unnecessarily deficit time navigating her way first semester freshman year. It's an inefficient administration that gives you the old boston pass the buck. Can't get a straight answer and dorms are cold. I mean it's a suitcase school trying to give a student a place to live. We were told you can't live in the apartments adjacent to the campus I later found out you can after my daughter decided to leave. They have counseling for freshman to help them adjust after they find out you're leaving. They have a room change process that we followed that we were told we didn't because the administrator was out on maternity leave. And on and on and on. My daughter is a straight A student and they gave her financial aid but they don't nurture the mind . The intellect. She got into much better schools .she made a bad choice going here. I suggest a kinder gentler college experience. You'll have peace of mind.

And I'll bet they will read this and not respond.. but seriously if you just want 4 years of education that you can't do anything with then go here and grind it out.

The staff just aren't as helpful as they should be. In my experience, they've provided minimum information to the point I've missed out on certain opportunities because I lacked information that could have easily been provided. Very individualistic atmosphere. I transferred after 1 semester.

I finished my degree in mental health counseling here this past year. While one can get a quality education here, I have to warn you that you are on your own mostly. If you are a self starter, put forth more effort than the minimum, and are also able to stay orientated with little input, this is a good college for you. And it is one of the least expensive colleges in the area. The largest drawback in my opinion was how on your own you were as far as getting a placement and keeping track of what you do and don't need.

This is a college that gives you an opportunity if you really want another one to move on in academic life.

I attended this school for the DMS program. I recently graduated in September 2017. Just like any school, there were ups and downs, however as a whole, the school and the faculty were great to me. All of my teachers were very helpful and cared about my education and future. I was able to take my Physics and pass before graduation which opened the door to getting my Abdominal Registry for my career. The school also helped me get a job interview with a company that I did one of my internships at that I am currently employed with.

Beautiful Oceanside campus, nice staff, some teachers don’t fit my learning style, but that’s to be expected. Parking right now is a nightmare, but with new renovations on the way.

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.

I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.

I did the online Social Work Master's for only one term. The entire program is very poorly organized. I did not receive a financial aid check until 11 or 12 weeks into the term. The format of the online classes was terrible, class sessions would oftentimes crash or I would lose audio connection. Attempting to speak with financial aid, or advisors was nearly impossible. Even if I had something urgent, the earliest I would receive a reply was a week, sometime I never even received a reply back. If you value your education and an efficient academic process, please do not waste your time, effort, or money on this school. The only positive things I have to say about this school were my interactions with professors, who were very nice and knowledgable and my academic support specialist. Aside from that, everything is mismanaged, poorly organized, and caused more stress and effort than necessary.

After months of communicating with admissions departments at my cambridge college location and main campus I was about to enroll in bachelor degree program. But decided not to since concurrent enrollment isn't allowed. It seems that the just about the entire work force of the campus I was interested in didn't understand admission policies thoroughly or types of college credits. I'm about to graduate with bachelor degree from another college and wondered what the CC experience would have been like, unfortunately I won't be considering CC for grad school. Please educate staff & consider concurrent enrollment for undergrad students so they can get it and out faster.

I've come across some great professors while being here however, administration has got to be one of the worst I've ever seen (aside from my student advisor Jeff Hogan is great). If you do chose this as your college and decide to study human service or psych stay far away from Steven foster not only is his class unorganized he never graded my final paper and left me to only get credit which dropped my GPA. If you want to enjoy anytime while a student at Cambridge college take all of Robert fladgers classes he's amazing. He makes you look forward to coming to class even when you don't feel like it. I learned a lot from Carole and Jennifer Peppi Carole has accomplished so many great things in the human service field it truley is amazing. Also I enjoyed taking one of my mandatory psych classes with professor Christifaro she was great super fun and made class interesting. I also think they offer a great array of ways to get and finish your education... Online night and weekend classes, most professors are very understanding when you have hit a difficult time in your personal life. When doing your capstone take Dawn zapata she is the sweetest and really puts effort into her students (even though she is not on campus she still makes you feel like you're her priority).

It's fantastic to see the blue ocean water by sitting in our lab! Newly constructed Integrated Science Complex offers state-of-the--art research facility for Biology and Chemistry major. Cafeteria located in the Campus Center is great with variety of food options. The campus would be aesthetic after finishing the on-going construction works. However, the Healey's library seems dark and not attractive to study.

Exceptional nursing school!

My mother went there and was well educated - so did my aunt!

The financial aid office never picks up the phone, they will play around with your money and your financial aid. they had be do a form 4 times, they are not responsible. I called many times to give a complaint they won't even let you talk. The professors are great. My issue is with the administration it self. They are not organized. My CC said I had a ($4,777) credit and I called and they said I don't, that there system is old and it shows that but I don't have the credit. That is very unprofessional. If you care about your money don't go here. I regret transferring here. I already transferred to a different school.

The resources they provide are excellent! NECB Library is wonderful. Sites like Lexus Nexus, Harvard Business review and IBIS are excellent sites to pull information from. The videos they provide are unbiased. They understand that the Internet and sites like Youtube offer substantive and useful information.

Great teachers with a ton of current long term experience in relevant fields. They lend their knowledge to the courses and show relevance. This is a special place where you have to work hard to get a good grade. No slouching here. I'm lucky to have found it. These professors are out there now in the real world, not sitting in an office somewhere, retired and lecturing straight from a book... Great crew !!!!
They are homophobic and Dr. Seth actually reprimanded me for coming out as "gay" during a gay marriage discussion in a Life development class. The work is so easy you can be dead and still get an "A". They look for more excuses to take money from you than the IRS. One Professor Judy Bralove MSW purposely told me she wasn't giving me a recommendation so I could go to another graduate school because she wanted to ruin my plans. I told her she was sick. Avoid this school at all costs it is expensive and not worth it. Go to Lesley University they at least have requirements. AndA better program.

I work at NECB and am inspired by the talented faculty and adult students. NECB is accredited and affordable like many other colleges. Yet at NECB, classroom sizes are small and the engagement in discussions and course work is enhanced because students are demographically older with years of work experience.

Be prepared to watch video's prepared by other students from other schools, and over pay for it! Material is bland, dry and uninteresting. Horrible communication between financial aid and administrative staff. Would highly advise looking elsewhere.

I have had an amazing experience at Simmons in graduate studies, even as a commuter student. Can't wait to graduate next Friday and will miss the campus.

Don't go here if you have any special needs whatsoever, very narrow minded and discriminatory

I graduated a while ago and it was pretty great then, but over the last few years this university has become really awesome! Honors College, great new Integrated Science Complex and fascinating research happening, new art/music and theater studios and performance spaces coming online, the Venture Development Center, so much to offer. Great value for the price--

I will call it the Copy Paste School. You can get an A without learning anything and just copy paste and cite source. The professors do not grade evenly. The school does not have an AACSB accreditation which is a minimal standard in the business world. I would recommend that it gets the little accreditation it has left pulled. It is an institution that falsifies learning and out degrees like factory for a profit.
