I hope the middle school and elementary school has improved because when I went here from 2012-2015, it was the worst middle school-to-high school transition ever. Teachers competing with children, shoving their accomplishments in students face when they should be trying to teach them. A faculty of staff that wasn't very original, and had very bland lectures. Dean's and principles only knew two words, detention, suspension. Didn't matter if you were missing a pencil or were defending yourself against a hostile student, you were doing lunch duty(one student is responsible for picking up everyones trash as well as wiping tables and sweeping the floor) and later going home regardless. The staff at this school in my time here, were just as much apart of the issue, as a students(and I'd argue more) obviously, history agrees with me. Perry Street prep started as HYDE leadership and was only a high school, became perry Street and incorporated middle and elementary school, and in turn ignored high school so much, that perry Street no longer has a high school. From football coach reject turned middle school dean Mr.Duval, to "i got mine u better get yours im here to get paid"Mrs.Muellion, to"ima just send you home sir and you'll have to deal with the consequences"Mr.Ross, to the cougar ms.Mclaren, the highlight of this school is the building its in, as well as the name, but that's it. You can send your kids there, but don't act shocked as they develop into worse people than they went in, it's what's required to survive in that place. If you're a woman with a child and you're a single parent I wouldn't trust a faculty in this place. They're trying to get with you, I specifically remember mr.Duval used to try to suspend kids on purpose JUST so he could have a face to face with their parents. I know because I'm one of the many.
Horrible racist space I have ever taught in…
Beside the fact the school admins prob requested to delete my previous comment on this school. It has the absolute worst location for the community’s commute. WMATA bus drivers will purposely fill the buses, pass the max capacity. Then skips the stop, (GEORGIA AVE NW + BUTTERNUT ST NW-1002817) leaving us waiting for the next bus that’s full too so there’s time I see people waiting over 30 mins for an empty bus. Worse part is sometimes the kids don’t move back and the driver thinks it’s full and passes the stop. This has to stop. People like me are at risk of being late because of this.

Nothing but accolades for Parkmont School and staff. A school that is dedicated to the students and their successful growth.

Parkmont was such a great school to attend. The teachers were so enthusiastic about learning it made class exciting. We went on awesome field trips; skiing in PA, flying to California or hiking in the woods. Great memories!

I am unsure of how the school was run years ago that led to the low reviews, but as it stands now, the school is very accommodating and kind. all the teachers seem to fully enjoy their job, and always help the students.
Amazing school like good teachers and everything. But once during a tic Tok trend kids stole the bathroom mirrors. Also they sometimes make really stupid rules like no wireless headphones but other than that it it a really good school and I would recommend. :)
This is our first year at lab and we have been very pleased with our child’s progress. The teachers are every accessible and they make learning fun. The only down side is the price of tuition.
Not A Good School My Kid Deals With Anger Issues Instead Of Calming Him Down They Just Hold her Down Until she Calms down Also She Bit one of the teachers The teachers responded by shoving her hand in her mouth awful place find a one that does well with your kids
My Scholars have been their for 4years and the staff sucks they pick and choose what child they want to say something to about what they wear .the new principles they got in place (Ms.Pickett and Ms.Harell ) they dont take nothing serious.
My daughter Nasiah is graduating this year and my number one decision is here I just love it and think it’s best for her and plus she has never got a bad grade and never will I’m looking forward to be seeing u guys this year
This school has brought memories I came to this school without friends and ended up the bestest friends that I could ever meet and the Community is very committed. I am so proud to be at this school and to help bring laughs and smile and solve some problems but not do way to much and to hand it to the supervisors to handle
Great school but comfused a lot of things lik4 boys bejng able to gk in the gurls bathroom, and people losing there chance to re enroll their child because you guys didnt send an email wich to me is and can be a major concern.
Great school and improving every year - thanks to the current principal Ms Lundgren. So nice to have a decent alternative to dual language charter schools that are often impossible to get into in the neighborhood!
Terrible school, teacher-student dynamic is awful, principal treats students TERRIBLY and has zero respect for them or their feelings. Can’t stress enough how bad this school is. Please, for your child’s sake, don’t send them here. It is not worth it.
I went there when I was small and graduated from there. I grew up around there my older children went there.
As an alumni from the school, I can say it's just not worth it. The kids were mean and disrespectful, and every thing was just too strict. If you were missing a tie or some other piece of your uniform, good luck and spend the ENTIRE day in the deans office. Also most of the kids who graduated were stressed out or were diagnosed with some form of depression (including myself). A friend of mine even started self harm. When I went there two of my teachers left mid year. I managed to get into a good school, but there are better middle schools out there that won't cause such stress.

The teachers are very disrespectful towards the student body, which has led to hostile learning environment. I have seen many school, and this has the worst student-teacher dynamic out of all of them. I would only recommend this school to someone who is desperately in need of the unique things the school has to offer.
Neat park. Suitable for 7 v 7 soccer pick ups.
I went here for a year and it was fairly easy and fun
I switched my son from KIPP this year to this school. He will be going back to KIPP next year. This school is a thumbs down. Not the worst but far from being the best. Curriculum is behind compare to other schools my son attended. They are more focus on managing behaviors & uniform shoes than they are their curriculum. If I could switch him back to KIPP right now I would.
I go to school here, and I must say one thing: IT'S SO AWESOME!!! All the staff are nice, and the building is neat and has a lot of cool things, like the Language Lounge and the Plant Wall. And balconies, people, balconies. Oh, and hello peoples of the world! XD (Gotta say that daily)
Well all 3 my kids went was never a problem just gotta know how to keep your kid to strive if you don't get involved with your kids school they will not work with the teachers.
This is our son's fifth year at Lab School. We could not have been more pleased with the progress he has made. Our son's self-esteem and confidence was boosted, and it allowed him to achieve many of his goals. I cannot speak highly enough for Lab School's staff. Outstanding school!
Ms. Lomax is the bomb , Mr. Allen, Ms. Kirkland and so on , I truly appreciate the Staff as a whole at achievement Prep. Some Of you Truly Rock!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just ok
Achievement Prep has teamed up with AppleTree which is a academy for younger scholars ages 3-5. I love the school and the teachers my daughter and son have grown tremendously academically and socially. The teachers are very hands on and show they care about the kids and their education. Mr. Leapy the principle is the BEST. Looking forward to the next school year.
I love this school!!!! The staff here take the time every morning to talk with students. If the student(s) are not happy, they talk to them! They really seem to care here and I love it! They try to help the students in the student's full well-being! I've never had a school do that. They want the kids to excel and help the kids become passionate about school. Hands down, I love this school!!!
Porque mis hijos estudiaron allí por dos años y medio....y extrañan mucho su escuelita
That the best school y'all need to go there
Its a great special ed school. Great and innovative minded students, teachers, and administration. Couldn't ask to be a 10th grader rising 11th grader in a better private High School. The High School recently moved into a new and fancy with 21st century technology like touch white boards, white board walls, among other things.
I will stay it is fun here
Don't get me wrong Achievement Prep is a good school academically but it is too strict, too much fights, inappropriate things are happening at this school. And lastly too my DRAMA. But everyone school is like that so I don't blame them but it's the best school your kid can go to if you leave in se dc
ii love this school

This is the worst school in the world the teachers never pay attention and always losing the work 9th grade English and ms kline all need to be fired on the spot and have a party after if u are a parent I would not send my child here ms Kline got in my kids face saying what are u going to do three times he asked her to move but she would not move so he used his body to move her this is highschool there I guess that's why its closing because the people that work there are the worst people u would ever meet in your life their dean Mr Ross try to send every student home and never looks into the story and never complete the suspension form with time phone call or reason don't I repeat don't send ur kid here its hell on earth
*This is only a review of the school's field*

For a long time, there has been a dearth of good fields in DC. I used to commute to Pentagon City to play soccer or football on something other than dirt-and-pot-hole field. This field is gorgeous and well-maintained astro-turf. Lots of bleacher seating and full-sized soccer goals. Plenty of bars to get a post-game beer... celebratory or consolatory...
