Wonderful venue. Saw Larry And Jeanne Paulsen in the Standby LEAR. Excellent show, friendly staff, professional production.

I came here from out of town for Velocity’s dance festival. It was wonderful for the most part. Nice clean spaces/studios. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There are adequate amount of spaces backstage with 3 dressing rooms, a shower, 3 bathrooms, and a green room. ADA compliant. The studio space is a black box while the main stage has risers that fit about 75 chairs. Marley floors in both spaces. The space is conveniently located among many eateries, bars, and shops, so it was fun to wander around in my free time. One concern that I have is that there is NO CHANGING TABLE anywhere in this space. I came with my 1 year old and was struggling to find a private space to change him every time. Management should really look into this!

The 12th Avenue Arts Center in the heart of Capitol Hill is an excellent venue for living and creating art in the city. It also happened to be perfect for 3D projection mapping!
For a Seattle Art Walk a few summers back Lumenarius (then Sensebellum) had the opportunity to activate the facade of the new architecture with custom content created by area artists: Liz Tran, Frank Correa, and Dylan Neuwirth.
Each artist employed a scale model of the building to paint, layer, and sculpt with as a template for the material.
Come show time and the building came to life with animated murals of light as composed by said artists.
Thank you to all involved and may the building shine on with excellent art for all time!

Go see “Our Country’s Good”!!! Fantastic play, amazing acting and superb set. Don’t miss it!

One of my favorite small theaters in Seattle. I have seen great shows with fantastic acting. Very impressed with Theatre 22 as a company, who performs at this venue often.

This school is amazing and there best student ever is Cathy <3

Today’s the last day of spirit week and infinity war is coming out today, they missed the chance to have today be marvel day, smh

Former franklin quaker here... as a used to be student i can tell you that teachers and staff care for you if you try to do what is needed of you. but there are some teachers who are actually quiet indifferent and don't really care. if you can take care of yourself and kick arse sign up. if you can't really i'd recommend you look for other high schools near your area and check the reviews there. -

As a student here my experience has really been sort of horrible. A few teachers care about students but the rest are sort of awkward and indifferent, one of our science teachers is really bad and the majority of the class is failing which is stressing a lot of people out, every large club involves some sort of social justice message, most of the kids are nice, I don’t enjoy the sort of brainwashing that happens at assemblies it makes me really uncomfortable and makes me feel sort of like ostracized because I don’t love franklin, I don’t scream and stomp at the pep assembly’s and reach for candy when it’s thrown, I’ve been hit in the face once or twice with a hi-chew (I don’t feel like hi-chews are the safest things to throw really hard into a crowd of screaming all simultaneously scrambling to pick up all the candy off the floor of the bleachers). The counselor at the school was really rude and assuming at one point when my mom and a teacher of mine approached her. I wish the school wasn’t so strict on late policies because everyone skips the lunch detention anyway and most people skip the aftershool detention too, it all just adds unnecessary stress to getting to school in the morning, or being late to a class by like two minutes. Franklin seems really fake to me and really unhealthy and I’m probably hopefully going to transfer. I don’t wanna be mean, I feel really bad for this but whatever.
Sorry
Sorry

Not a great school at all, kids are very disrespectful and trashy, i volunteered there and it was just garbage, some kids dress up in inappropriate / trashy clothes, they also disrupt the residents in the nearby apartment building to with their loudness and obnoxiousness, DOESN'T enforce good behavior or encourage being a better person, the principle is annoyingly rude, perhaps the most rude person, i had a friend complain to him about the noisiness of the kids and the principle was very rude about it, There are better schools in the Seattle area would not recommend coming to this school

i am a sophomore there now and i love it do you anyone by the name of Jacob fridley who goes there he is a sophomore this year he is 17 years old.

haha the field is so small their football team has to only do away games. also my friend really disliked this school so that,s a thing.

Food is good but if you take leep it’s a pain

Honestly, I like WMS. I go there and all my teachers are really nice. The music program is also AMAZING (my favorite class). The principle was kinda "shmeh"(if you know what I mean), but the most annoying thing about the school is that they're always saying "be your B.E.S.T. self!!!!!" and it irritates me and all of my friends._.

Great facility, modern look... Really enjoyed the show

I hate it when you run out of pods so u can't juul in the bathroom. :(

Awful principle, but the band teacher is good. I also like the LA/SS teacher I had in 6th grade last year. She was really nice.

The school has a good track. I wanted to submit a question but it won't let me, does anyone know the hours to use the track?

Good experience

I didn't like the staff there and pretty disgusting lunch and breakfast menus. The 2 staff members that I didn't like at all was mr.bauer,mr.carter.

My 7th grade year there was AWESOME! I made great friends and the teachers were great and supportive of me and my choices. 👍

Freddie Wong. Nuff sed.

Excellent graduate class of 2003 fun school very great highschool years

this school makes my soul sad, and gives me stress wrinkles. in addition to my stress wrinkles, there is a good coffee hut near by. luv muddy woters. also, i get an average of 28 minutes night sleep each night. sometimes 30 mins

*sighs* it was good attending this school and i have to give credit where credit is due, i liked my teachers (masaki sugihara, matt carter, bauer, etc i'm sorry i can't name all of you) and although the crowd didn't seem appealing it's still one of the best

Another shameless exploitation of artists on increasingly artist-hostile Capitol Hill. While they make it appear that this an arts hub, in fact it is 'affordable' housing for anyone (not artists) with a bunch of private eateries and a couple of small theatres. Lame and offensive.#ToneDeaf.

环境优美,体育设施完备

Great school, nice students, helpful and funny teachers.

From what I've read and seen about this school its got alot to offer

Maybe the best hs? In the world?

The arts, radio, music, history, drama; Seattle's gem in the northend.

比尔盖茨母校

its ok. some teachers i question how they got a teaching degree

The school has great language programs, excellent choral, orchestra, and band instruction, and strong leadership. I've had three boys go thru WMS and out of it, they all have a very strong math and science foundation.

Looks good. The fields are nice and they have a turf

Nathan Hale's lit.

Great School and Program, amazing people or and this was the school Bill Gates attended from 1967-1973

Curriculum quality is reportedly patchy and stratified, but my sons have both had a great experience. Majority of their teachers have been extremely motivated and invested. Workload can be overwhelming at times, and the official "if it's late, it's a zero" policy is draconian, but fortunately most teachers are more flexible than that. Music program is a powerhouse--it's actually cool to be in band at WMS. Perhaps this reflects the dearth of bullying relative to what I recall from my own youth. School officially has a "zero tolerance" policy for bullying (seems to also like the word "zero" in its policies). Anyway, students seem unusually secure and self-confident for periadolescents. Like any public school, resources are stretched thin, and this can be felt sometimes in the facilities, and certainly in the IT support--seems like a new website system gets launched every year, each one worse than its predecessor. But until we agree to pay higher taxes, that's life. Although the school does a remarkable job leveraging its fundraising capabilities. Current Principal is quite good, and very open minded--perhaps too much so sometimes. The Kindle experiment was short-lived.

Going there in a week when school starts look forward to it !!!!

Best highschool I've been to because of the tightly knit community.

Great school! Although I have reason to believe several of the teachers are in a satanists cult.

That is so cool.NATHAN HALE IS AWESOME.I WANT TO GO TO HIS SCHOOL.

Nathan Hale is a great High School full of great teachers and students.

Awesome school, ah I wanna go back and greet all my teachers to tell them thank you for all the hard work they are putting in to help the students learn . One of the friendliest school around south Seattle areas. 2013 graduate

My older daughter just finished her 3rd year at Washington and my younger daughter will be starting in the fall.
On the balance, our experience with the school has been positive. The teachers are mostly good with just a few clunkers. The experience with the student cohort has been good, and there are plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities with the bands and various before and after school activities.

At least once a year I was marked absent for no reason (usually by the old lady teaching ceramics) even though the only day I missed class in the four years I attended was when I was at the hospital.

I just traveled from Turkey to visit my cousin in Seattle. Before I got here, I looked for summer schools available and I noticed the Lakeside Upper School. Even though I have had great expectations, I haven't seen any friendly student in here. Therefore, it made me upset that such a great school doesn't offer any social activities during school. All they do is STUDYING rather than recreation which is really important for me because we were in the summer break. I wish the students at Lakeside could be more gregarious.

Very segregated, the school is a pig sty and many of the teachers are not very good. All the school cares about is the music program which isn't even that good even though everybody says it's good.

This is a great school!
