Beansprouts has been the greatest gift for our family! My son has enjoyed 3 summers of camp (in addition to pre-school and afterschool). When Ben says the #1 rule of camp is to have fun, he really means it. Ice cream Fridays, amazing field trips, private yard for cooling off in the sprinklers, games and adventures for days...I wish I was a camper there. Not only was camp filled with fun, I knew 100% that my son was safe and cared for. I never worried about his well-being in the care of the amazing Beansprouts staff. Big thanks and if you are considering this camp, don't hesitate! They're the best, I think especially for ages 4-7.

As an uncommon mom for 3 years I like to encorage any parent in such of a great school in the Ocean Hill or East New york area to look no further. The academics, discipline , teachers participation and all- rounded excellence no child is left behind. The communication between parent, students and families is top-notched. Kudos Ms.Chan and the team great job and keep this standard growing. Once a Blue Ribbion always a Blue Ribbon.

My experience with this school community has been great, the teachers are great, the staff are helpful, and I see the growth from my child being in this school.

This is the place to be. The best teachers and support staff. They live up to their name as being a Blue Ribbon School.

Good school , My niece been in that school since kindergarten she is now in the 7th grade. & also my daughter comes to this school. we love it 🫶🏼🫶🏼

This is the first year of my daughter’s at LPOH. I like their approach to each and every scholars! Looking forward to partner with them for all my children’s education journey!

So far i have had an incredible experience with Leadership Prep Ocean Hill! This school is truly awesome. Their communication is on point, and they go above and beyond to set and meet every child's academic goals. I appreciate how they keep parents in the loop throughout the entire process. The staff's attitude is consistently pleasant and very welcoming. And they make sure your child or children is safe! I wholeheartedly recommend this school – it's a solid 10 out of 10 for any parent looking to provide their child with an excellent education, this is definitely the place for your child! It's literally a 💎 Gem

Hats off to the Director, Dean, Principal and the Teachers of LPOH, my kids love thier school. The curriculum is on point, culture of care great. KODOS! Guys!

The best!

The positive reviews are false reviews, don’t get fooled like I did, especially if you have a toddler or child beneath the age of 4, because it’s a small community of mothers that have been bringing their same kids for years, as long as ur child is above 4, it’s safe I guess to place him there, but if you’re child is under 4 or 3; BEWARE. Expect a confused staff that sends you wrong belongings, a toddler that cries refusing to go in there and I believe it’s due to neglect & lack of supervision. This is not a place for toddlers, this is a bad place for toddlers and as a caring mother that worried sick when my son started there because the big staff is utterly confused, ya don’t know who is taking care of your child personally; I got a wrong email from a wrong child giver catering to a different group 😳 sending me pictures of children that are not in my son’s group. What a mess and you can’t communicate that to anyone over there. The supervisor is never there, the class workers lack info & gives you wrong belongings that doesn’t belong to your son even. Behind the facade of the emails they send, the toddler doesn’t get any individualized attention, it’s hard to reach anyone working there, the toddler is lost with a cognitively dysfunctional staff, that’s why I withdrew my child immediately who is used to a small personalized group where everyone knows everyone, and you can call someone responsible for your child or be reached immediately, but not in this place, if the child can communicate what’s going on with him and her, then maybe consider leaving your older child to play in their outdoor garden, but if your child is younger than that (it’s a bad daycare for children younger than 4/3), it has a bad reputation among other daycares that I reached to after with drawing my son too. I really feel bad for the toddlers left behind by negligent parents in that environment. Enrolling my toddler there was the biggest mistake I made this summer and I don’t want any other conscious mother who’s fully aware of how daycares should operate, be deceived by these reviews like I was.

This day camp offers no refunds, exchanges or the ability for parents to work extended care around their schedules. Its also twice as expensive as other options in the area with less extra-mural stimulation. I ended up having to move my daughter out of a school she loved to get into a program that suited our schedule/needs. I also lodged a complaint with the attorney generals office as I dont believe their business practices are compliant with state law. O joy, O bliss.

You know your kids are having a good time when they complain about not being able to stay for extended hours or early drop off :) We’ve been loyal Beansprout ‘ers for many year for afterschool, Summer Camp and for hybrid remote school days in 2020. My older
child can have difficulty with transitions and social interaction but each year he’s walked away from camp with the best memories and with new best friends. The counselors are able to calmly manage the kids and keep them busy enough, there’s little time for them to get bored. The staff is top notch and extremely responsive to emails and calls. Ive referred Beansprouts to many other families who’ve also had positive experiences and have met many families that aged out of the programs. If we hadn’t moved away, we’d surely be signing up for another Summer!

Beansprouts is the highlight of my son's summer! The councilors are kind, organized, efficient and great with kids. I felt very happy every day dropping my children here and I think it's just as important for the parents as for the children to feel comfortable and happy to see everyone excited to be there each day. It's the perfect place for your children to thrive in a fun, safe, creative environment. This is the place they'll make friends for life and want to come back to year after year. Fun activities, exercise, fresh air and lots of inventive ways to embrace summer vacation.

Learning everything so good

My son graduated from this school and now my daughter goes there . It is a excellent school for children to get a head start on what college classes will be like

Love this place b

We are big fans of Beansprouts Day Camp! Our children, ages 3 & 6 both attended this past summer and had a great time. It's a very low-key, fun environment and the counselors are amazing. Our kids were always happy to go to camp in the morning and they had a blast. Good age-appropriate activities for the little ones too.

Both of our sons have gone to summer camp here for years and LOVE it. Literally jumping out of bed every morning excited for the day. We use their after-school as well for many of the same reasons-they let kids be kids. They have scheduled activities and classes- pottery, swim, sports, yoga, art, etc. But mainly, they love the counselors and the counselors love the kids back. They let the kids lead the activities. If they want to play board games- the counselors are playing an intense game of Trouble or Monopoly with them. If they organize a big game of soccer, the adults are the refs and are running in the mix. My kids come home worn out, happy and relaxed.

Read a review on here some kid complaining about the elevators. LOL! We weren't allowed to take the elevators. Life is hard, Brooklyn was hard, the struggle was real. Bust your ass, feel the pain and grow into something everyone will be proud of.

Nice and small little church, with a statue of Plymouth himself protecting two slaves. Really nothing to special but if you have the time and are already in the area (maybe you want to go to Brooklyn Bridge). Then don't be afraid of dropping by.

I shadowed there for a day a real nice campus friendly staff and very nice kids. They've got nice classrooms and art studios a real nice gym and labs. The sports there are very good especially the basketball. The track team there is also fantastic and the students are very nice and kind they let me cut the lunch line since I was shadowing not ghetto at all

Excellent teachers and staff. Historically significant monument to doing good in the community.

Family atmosphere, great educators and programs. Best Catholic HS in Brooklyn.

Haven't been here in years, school trip when I was in PS321. It was eye opening and amazing.

Excellent school. The faculty is caring and supportive. STEM School which is a plus also they have AP classes and an honors program. My granddaughter is. a Senior now and doing very well. Her sister graduated with honors and now a Senior in College. I would highly recommend Bishop Loughlin to anyone looking for an excellent place for learning with a family atmosphere. Love this school

The school itself is clean, and the staff is pretty good. However, the students themselves are vulgar, and repulsive. It seems like this school said one day "Oh no, we're on low income! Quick, let's accept any student!", and then you get the rudest stuck up girls. It's absolutely ghetto, and the students have no respect. They also have a bad taste in music.
Other than that, the staff, the food, the school itself is good. I just feel like 68% of the students don't deserve to be there.

Great school and teachers that care about your child and there education.

This is a SUNY school in NYC, in downtown Brooklyn no less.
It's now free to attend for any state resident that economically qualifies. It's a no brainer. Why sign up for ASA or TCI or any of those for profit degree mills when you've got a state degree offered for free on the same avenue?

I graduated BTHS in 1972. I never worked so hard in my life academically as well as physically. I was on the award winning soccer team for three years. The architecture and building construction curriculum was most challenging and extremely rewarding. The neighborhood was rough in the late sixties and early seventies so commuting from Queens was never boring. There was a foundry on the seventh floor. My building construction classroom was three stories high and had a house built inside. What school can top that? I highly recommend this high school.

I attended BTHS from 1965-1969. Absolutely THE BEST education I ever received from any academic institution, and that includes college. A tougher neighborhood back then, still an all male student body, and the two hour commute from Jamaica, Queens to Forte Greene, Brooklyn every school day were obstacles, but in spite of these issues, my decision to test into and stay at Tech until graduation was a great choice!

I've have a new found experience and the school isn't that bad if you find the things you want to do and love. I unfortunately joined an excellent step team but I quit. And the teachers would want every student to reach as high as they could. The teachers I have aren't half bad compared to some other public school teachers. It's easy to gain what you want if you try hard. I must say this school is more challenging then I thought it was at first. I find a lot of other peers are taking advance courses and these courses have a lot of work. Hey if I can do it you can.

Most of my classes are scheduled here.

Its a pretty good school to send freshmen/transfer-students that would want a good high-school experience.

It prepared me for higher learning and made college life a huge success. I am proud to have attended.

Probably the best education experience in my life! Looking back, I should have and could have applied myself more and I wish I had taken more extracurricular activities. That being said, I still received a superior education that I still use today. This school prepared me to meet life's challenges and to be resilient. It is also where I learned to question everything; to have a critical eye. These lessons I learned at BTHS, I now pass on to my students.

I am the president of the Alumni Foundation. Brooklyn Tech is rated 60th in the nation by US News out of nearly 25,000 public high schools. (Ranked higher than Stuyvesant this year.) With over 16 majors for kids to select from in their final two years, you have the ability to intensively study a subject that you are truly interested in. Coursework begins at the college level and goes beyond what AP exams test. Students are trained how to think well and problem solve because emphasis is on giving every student a foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, but there are liberal arts majors like Law and Society and College Prep so going to Tech doesn't mean you are locked into a STEM subject as a major. Fantastic learning environment. Terrific facilities and labs. Teachers are among the best. Administration is forward thinking and innovative. The students are unbelievable: excited to learn, way intelligent and nice to each other - that is to say not cut throat competitive but grades do matter to most. Ethnically and racially diverse. Hundreds of students from every background owing to its size (largest public high school in the nation, about 5,500). Most kids qualify for free or subsidized lunch which means no stigma if you are from a poor family like most New Yorkers. Majority are from families that recently immigrated from countries all over the world so wonderful opportunity to get to know others and make friends from different backgrounds and cultures. Huge number of student clubs, activities and athletic teams. Largest and strongest public high school alumni organization in the country which spends more than a $1million a year funding teacher training and projects, student internships, student research opportunities, student activities, lecture series and rebuilds labs and other facilities to make sure that the education offered at Tech is the very best that can be gotten in NYC. Graduates are well received by every college in the country. Tech is the biggest feeder high school in NYC for CUNY Macaulay Honors Program (very selective and free tuition) and sends many graduates to the very most selective colleges in the country like Harvard and MIT. Every graduate is fully college ready and 98% go on to college. Brooklyn Tech is better than it every was, and it was always great.

I'm currently a Junior here-and I'm in the Media Communications major--and I honestly think this is the best school in Brooklyn. The children are soooo nice, the teachers are great (with an exception of 2) and it is so lively. You might I have to put a little bit more work into your homework than other schools, but you learn so much.
I LOVE BROOKLYN TECH! #1 School! :D
I LOVE BROOKLYN TECH! #1 School! :D

though I didn't get all I should've gotten out of Tech, my memories are still enjoyable... And, my education was unmatched. ;-) all in all, I am extremely glad to have been a part of BTHS during the 70's, and to have been born and raised in the greatest city in the world- New York, New Yorrrkk!
