Low budget cafeteria style seating with dust everywhere. Your allergies will be bad after attending. Performances are entry level with limited options.
Admittedly, it not the most reverent, beautiful venue. It’s not Carnegie Hall or anything. But the acoustics are outstanding. It’s very easy to find parking and get to your seat (which seems bigger than most with plenty of legroom, and comfortable). Omaha should be proud to have the center in their city.
Orpheum seating is THE WORST, most uncomfortable, and there is a visible layer of gray dust all along the proscenium and the drapes hanging above the box seats. They bring back the same war horse shows again and again and again. Aim higher, OPA.
In the past two weeks we saw Caberet and the Hound of the Baskervilles. This is community theater at it's best.
The Omaha Symphony is top notch, and the Holland Center is the perfect venue for watching (every seat is great), listening (incredible sound), and dancing! It’s a very interactive and lively show - not stuffy at all. Everyone should experience their magic!
Christmas Celebration at the Holland was beyond spectacular! Blown away by the talented singers, dancers, and symphony, not to mention choreography, song choices, staff, seating, and stage settings/props! Had an amazing night!
Amazing shows especially around Christmas time. Very good people and service!
I've enjoyed every production I have seen. It's clear the actors love what they do!
Always a great time and have amazing shows
Saw Beautiful on Sunday and it was fabulous!! Barry Mann injured himself and was an absolute professional, making it look like nothing and then recovering as if nothing happened. Applauding him!!
I have seen numerous plays here and my mom has a membership. Always a very nice time. Very clean and friendly establishment with a very kind staff. I think they need to do more to attract younger people . Definitely check out the Christmas carol.

Obviously amazing an theater, but little known fact: they're amazing at recycling and composting :)
Once again we found ourselves at an absolutely perfect venue especially for music. The sound quality just cannot be beat and every seat in the whole place seems to be perfectly acceptable to see the stage. Simply wonderful.

One of the most under-rated, under valued creative experiences in Omaha! This is a real jewel of the city.

Who doesn’t love live theatre. This Venue is that perfect place to enjoy a Christmas Classic. Take a quest along side chain smoking Detective John “we’ll have a few laughs” McClane, Ms. Holly “Could drive somebody that crazy” Gennaro and Sgt. Al “squirts no more” Powell at the Nakatomi Plaza in LA. As a sly band of International Terrorist, lead by the flowing locks of Karl and infamous heavy hand of Hans Gruber. As they have come to collect $600 million in bonds and hold everyone hostage.

Hopefully, this will become a Christmas time tradition.

A Very Die Hard Christmas

Yippee Ki Yay, come see this play!!!
We had an amazing time and the staff was over the top for my cousin anf her family. They delt with the emotions of the family and they even accommodated when her body was to tired but still wanted to rock out to Today and Yesterday. If you haven't seen the Beatles Experience I highly reccomend seeing these amazing artists.
My wife, our son & I had a wonderful evening. It was our son's 1st time seeing A Christmas Carol. He really enjoyed it. Everyone on stage & behind the scenes did great. We just loved it. Great way 2 end a nice weekend. Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas. 🦃🎄💕

I stood in line for the Hamilton tickets sale on one of the hottest days of the year. The staff at Omaha Performing Arts figured everything out to make it as easy and pleasant as possible to navigate the huge sea of ticket buyers. They gave me a wristband and a clipboard with a form for the ticket options: dates, times, seat locations, costs, etc so I could pre-plan my purchase. Then I waited in the shade at tables and chairs which were set up for the buyers where they provided cold water to drink. I never actually got in line until my wristband number was called, and then it took about 45 minutes to go through the account verification/creation process and purchase my tickets. I was the 290th box office ticket buyer while there were 20,000 buyers waiting online, and it took me about an hour and a half to get Hamilton tickets. Good seats at that.
Great intimate theater experience. The room fits about 35 people and the actors are close up. The plays always hold my attention. Definitely a must see.

My girlfriend and I went to see the world-premier of "The City in the City in the City" at the Blue Barn Theatre a couple weeks ago. We really enjoyed the intimate theatre space and the actresses' creative inclusion of the audience in the production.

Consistent high quality plays. Sometimes fun and funny. Othertimes they're deep and make you think.

Enjoyable theatre space, it's too bad the current building owner is kicking them out.

Shelterbelt and SNAP! production companies out on some of my favorite shows in Omaha.
The play tonight was phenomenal. The theater felt cozy and the lobby is beautiful. Look forward to attending the next play. Bravo!!!

Amazing local and regionally produced scripts
Classic theater with an annual Irish Festival featuring a new or classic Irish play.
If you remember and loved the old Bluebarn, then be prepared to feel the same about this iteration. It is meticulously constructed from salvaged materials from the old location. The aesthetics are impeccable both in and out and the bar is excellent for before and after shows.

Over 25 years Blue Barn has built a reputation for excellent, edgy programming. Casting, sets and direction always combine to create a surprising, thought-provoking experience of some of the best new plays being presented in the country.
