Top Performing arts theaters in Tempe, United States

Very nice theatre venue. Our girls have dance performances here every year and the private theaters are intimate and clean. Seating is comfortable and well designed. The backstage area is spacious with plenty of room to warm up. There are multiple dressing rooms and bathrooms back there. The main lobby area of the theatre has a place to get drinks, clean bathrooms and even an art gallery to browse while you wait for your show to start. The Tempe lake bridge is also just outside, which we like taking a walk on while our daughters rehearse. The parking garage is cheap and there is also a free dirt lot nearby, definitely within walking distance. Overall, really enjoy coming here.

I love this place. I come for the walk-in Wednesday open mic night.
Aside from the amazing performances, the staff is always there to pleasantly greet people.
The atmosphere is beautiful, and being right next to Tempe town lake provides a beautiful backdrop.

Excellent theater, no bad seats. Fabulous set design. Plays are totally professional and sound is good parking at huge garage nextdoor. Get your ticket validated and park for free. They have multiple exhibition venus inside the new building.
There is also an outdoor art gallery. The location is hard against Tempe Town Lake.

Just saw Barefoot in the Park last night at ATC’s new venue, Tempe Center for the Arts. Loved it!! The sound was better for me (I have a hearing impairment). Parking is a lot easier and the venue looks out over Tempe Town Lake-beautiful.
The play was great, too. I expected it to compare unfavorably to the Fonda-Redford movie but it’s much better-wittier, edgier (and hilarious) dialogue and Broadway-level perfomers. If you’re in the market for a fun night out at a striking venue with a side-order of belly-laughs, Barefoot in the Park is your ticket!

A stunning building with well-made, stunning theatres inside as well.
I’ve worked at many venues across the country and this building takes the cake with its design aesthetic.
Also - the nicest bathrooms I’ve ever been in at a public venue.

I initially had to use the restroom here while my family celebrated my birthday, and I have to say this is the top 5 most cleanest bathrooms I've ever been in. The staff seems to take great pride in the cleanliness of the facilities from the restrooms to the main area before you enter the theater area. There was a live music event occurring with some very beautiful singing and the mini art museum looked wonderful but we didn't fully explore it, but we will next time.

This is a lovely theatre! The seating is set in a semi-circle shape with side uplifted seating on the ground floor and two balcony levels. Classy, fresh, and modern. I have performed in this theater several times, and each time, it has been an impressive joy while being safe and secure. The venue and view from the theatre lobby looking onto the lake is a gem! The theat itself is beautiful. If you have a chance to go.... GO!!!

I got the balcony seating so not as bad, but it was benches with no backs, and took 30 mins to get drinks. I know it was crowded but it might be easier to have everyone grab drinks beforehand.

We saw “Christmas at Pemberly.” It was well done. Acting was superb and the cast seemed to have a great time entertaining us. It was an enjoyable experience.

Great tour with Steven. Showed us the Fire and Water Gallery together with an informational tour of the building. Well worth a look inside if you are passing by. All the staff are very friendly.

We went to see Cabaret in Phoenix. The cast was great!! We both loved it. It was the highlight of our 2 week trip. I never want to see something more than once but if I could I would love to see this cast perform again. Thank you.

Always an amazing time! Ballet, the Symphony, Music, Art, Dance, Theater...this is the place to enjoy a wonderful show and explore the art Gallery-changes every month. Definitely check it out!

The Music Man was amazing. It was my girlfriend and I's first time seeing a musical and now we both can't wait to see another. The singing, dancing, choreography, and even some cool tricks with juggling, basketballs, etc made the show so impressive and captivating all the way through. These people are so skilled and I'm sure they deserve more attention than they're getting.

Won a contest. Got to see a show.
River Bride was terrific. We enjoyed the show very much as always.
