Depending where you're going in that beautiful building, you may need to climb and descend several flights of stairs. We attended a guest speaker-type show and the acoustics in the upper gallery box were not very good-- we and the people around us had trouble hearing the person on stage due to low volume and reverberating echoes. A music performance might have been better, I guess. On the plus side, parking is fairly close and FREE! The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The bar in the 3rd floor lobby was very convenient to our seats, and not outrageously priced for that type of venue.
Premo seats for Bruce Hornsby... awesome venue with great service from what seemed to be a volunteer staff
Fantastic forum to see a musical or a small opera. Not a Broadway sized theater but a great venue. Took the family to Elf during the holidays and was blown away by the talent and the sets.
This place is truly a sight to behold! The atmosphere is big and grandiose. This magnificent building was a great venue for the Indiana Symphonic Orchestra to play Handel's Messiah. I have never been in a building quite like this one.
This was the host for the Carmel Christkindlmarkt. It has a very authentic German Christmas market feel, including the live music and food and trinkets for sale.
Fun. I LOVES THE URBANISM IN CARMEL. The market was really good too. Nice Event will come back.
The Center for the Performing Arts is simply the most gorgeous, well-maintained, acoustically tuned, and grand performance venue I've ever seen. Featuring the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts. 🎭 This state of the art facility is modeled after traditional European architecture on the outside. On the inside, the Palladium contains special glass panels that the stage crew can adjust to better reflect the sound waves coming from the stage. This means that, no matter where you're sitting in the audience, you can hear every detail and color of the performance. The south lobby features a wonderful bar, where you can sip on the fanciest drinks, and take your drinks into the concert hall! The bartender also mixes an excellent Coca-Cola with freshly squeezed slices of lime! The interior design is clever as well! The men's room has bass clefs on the floor tiling, for those who get the reference.

But that's not all! Across the Carter Green, there's another building: the Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre. 🎭 This building contains both the Civic Theatre and a smaller studio theatre, meaning that there is something for every taste in music, theatre, and entertainment!

Multiple organizations have the honor of calling the Center for the Performing Arts their home. 🏡 These include the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, which grew from a humble volunteer group to a professional caliber ensemble this past decade; the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, featuring innovative choreography and fluid movements; the Great American Songbook foundation, which will take you back to the good old days of the 40s with smooth, jazzy, and wistful standards; and the storied Carmel Christkindlmarkt, which provides cherished Christmas joy on Carter Green every Advent and Christmas season! 🙏✝️❤️‍🔥🕊️ And so much more

5/5; highly recommend! And don't forget to have a fancy drink in the south lobby! 🥤
Watched Elf the musical with my family. Very fun time! Great venue :)
Christine, the Communications Manager, is amazing. I celebrated my birthday in the Carmel area in May 2023. I met a group of friends there: I had friends come from Illinois, Fort Wayne, Anderson and Ohio. The entire experience was great. We had front row seats to see The Sound Of Music at the Civic theater and Christine reserved several seats for my group and I. And before the of the musical Christine personally came to speak with me to make sure that everything was good. My entire group and I had a great time!

This is a great venue for a show. There is not a bad seat in the house. Very professional and fun. I highly recommend seeing a show here!
Beautiful facility. Very clean and seats were comfortable. We sat in the 2nd balcony in the back right side and we could see stage just fine. Was nice because we could move our chairs around.

The only 2 reasons I didn't give it a 5 star review is (1) it is very confusing figuring out how to get to your seat or even how to get back to the main lobby to leave. Had to ask 2 people how to find our seats but they must realize the struggle as they have people to help you. (2) we had a balcony box seat but also had a very large camera and man who sat behind us. It was very intrusive and I didn't feel like I could sing along (Motown Christmas concert) or dance like many people in other sections were doing. If they are going to put a large floor video camera behind your seat it should be posted and price of ticket reduced.
Lovely facility, wonderful staff and team of volunteers - an intimate venue for performances!
We recently enjoyed a performance from the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and had a wonderful time. It seemed like most all of the seats had a good view and the smaller theatre created more of an intimate feel. There were no cup holders, so just something to keep in mind.
An amazing place to watch a concert! I hope to go back soon!

I great place for live comedy and the Theater, Bay-Bee!
It was my first time going there, and I was thoroughly impressed! Great venue for concerts and plays with great acoustics and lightning.
Absolutely fabulous show. We went and saw 'The Prom'!! Cannot wait to see more shows there!
Wonderful performances each time I go! Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful time at the Pink Floyd sounds and sights concert
A very impressive building. The volunteer staff are also extremely helpful. I will be following your schedule for upcoming events.
Perfect acoustics. We truly enjoyed The Robert Cray Band. They played their heart out!
The sweet hostesses add to the charm of such a classic venue. The Palladium is a precious gem of Indiana entertainment.
Dropping off a show load here.. Loading dock is were the parking lot is.. There is a space you can park safety in the middle of the street back in from the driver side.. The street to get here are small just take your time I came off hy 465 then north on 31 took ex 126 and work my way over here.. There a lot of circle take up both lanes and go slow...
Architectural Beauty: The Palladium is not just a performance venue; it's a work of art in itself. The building's stunning architecture, inspired by European classical design, offers a visually captivating experience both inside and out. It's a popular spot for events, weddings, and simply admiring the architecture.
Tarkington and the entire area of Center for Performing Arts is so well done! You can find easy parking, good food, and even if you choose to not attend a performance, it is an enjoyable place to hang around.
This is without question the best place to experience a concert. There is not a bad seat, and the sound is increadible! The acoustics in this concert hall could not be better!

Friendly theater in Carmel. Affordable entertainment. I have seen many productions here... check them out!!
Beautiful performing arts center with great acoustics and sight lines. There is even free parking in the garage a few doors down on 3rd street. My only complaint is the high price of tickets. I'd attend more frequently if there were lower cost options.
One of the reasons I chose to visit Palladium was because it offered a spectacular view of the fireworks during Carmelfest. It was a wonderful experience that I enjoyed very much.

Really fun time with the comedians at the Cat the other night.I look forward to being there in the future.
Lovely venue and super cute area of town.
High Class and 1st Class all the way. Every seat sold is a seat where you will enjoy the performance. This venue is designed perfectly. It provides you a great experience. Beware: you'll be surrounded by rich old white q-tip heads but we will all be there someday. The good thing is they are getting out and staying active, and honestly there isn't a better place I have found that even comes close to this place. Simply wonderful and have loved Rick Springfield, Richard Marx, Lonestar, Michael McDonald, Amy Lee (Evanescence) and now tonight an Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) tribute band.

It's my hopes that this venue can attract some more bigger names in the future. If that happens we will gladly get back to holding "season tickets" like we did in the beginning days. Since covid it's been a rarity to find a performer we want see. Very sad that we bought season tickets at Ruoff in Noblesville for 2023. We really had hoped to get back to coming here often again because it's definitely more like a "Las Vegas" type concert experience....much more intimate and provides more experience.

Saw Almost, Maine here and loved it! Support local theater! Tickets are cheap and it's a cute and intimate place to see some pretty decent shows!
I went to opening night of the Sound of Music and the performance was fabulous. My guest was surprised at how professional the production was for a local civic theater. The talent was incredible. There was even a symphony with a conductor. Seats were good with good leg space and seats were comfortable. We didn't get drinks so I cannot comment on that. While the parking garage was busy and we had to park on the top level getting out of the garage was pretty easy. No more that 5 minutes to go from the top floor of parking garage to exit.
The price of drinks were outrageous. $8 for a regular size can of beer and $4 for a can of soda is ridiculous. Honestly, I probably will avoid this venue. Mostly, due to the seats being extremely uncomfortable. It was borderline painful to sit in those seats.
Had a great time! The Ceash Test Dummies were amazing, and the theater was a wonderful place to see them.
Just saw Jim Messina. What an outstanding show. This is
our first visit to the Tarkington and will definitely return. There is not a bad seat in the house. It was nice to be able to enjoy the show with a beverage as well. We hope Jim returns to our lovely community.
Just awesome! What a clean, beautiful, intimate venue. Drove four hours to come see The Mavericks here in January. Perfection! Wouldn't hesitate to come again for a show. Thank you!
Very enjoyable to be so close to the action. The small studio made the experience more personal and enjoyable than in a huge theater. Will be back to see more plays.
I recently attended the Boney James concert at this venue and it was amazing. The venue is so beautiful! It was one of the best concerts I've been to in a while! Bashiri Asad (the opener) was fabulous!!
We went to see the Ugly Duckling with my 9 yr old nephew. We were delighted to see that there was an ice skating rink outside the theater. He skated while we got hot chocolate and stayed warm in the igloo tents that were surprisingly filled with comfortable and stylish furniture including a small heater! All around the rink on there are heat lamps which were much appreciated also. The play the Ugly Duckling was very imaginative and well done. Each actor played several parts, and the set/scenery was well thought out. It was very appealing to the children as well as adults. The story was easy to follow, but at the same time, there were nuances only a mature person could follow. For example, the mother duck birthing the eggs was not something a 9 year old would understand. It was a great experience for all. The staff were polite and helpful, and as we got there early, we got a parking spot right up front. I highly recommend this venue to one and all.
CCP is a wonderful place to watch a quality show by local actors at a reasonable price. They are highly talented in all areas of Theatre and will definitely be a night of fun for you and your loved ones.

We just saw The Addams Family play. It was a great show! I highly recommend going. Wonderful little theater. Looking forward to seeing more plays in the future! Now go get your tickets and enjoy.
We have seen 3 plays there & have loved everyone of them. This year we saw Nunsense and it was so well done & hilarious!! I don’t believe there is a bad seat in the place. I wish we lived closer so we could attend more events there!
Love this studio! So close & intimate. Been there a few times and can't wait to go again for Nunsense!

I love Cat. They really seem to love the kids and want them to thrive. All of the performances were good. They serve snacks, water, coffee, and wine. I can't wait for another great performance!!!🙌🙌🙌
This might be the prettiest place I've ever seen a concert. It's an intimate setting. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The staff is super friendly. It has great acoustics. The parking garage is super conveniently located. The facility is also run by a great npo. I would highly recommend it!
Very nice small to medium sized performance hall. Super easy free parking in th adjacent parking deck. Nice staff. Saw Don Giovanni here and it was a great, intimate performance. Wish the bar had champagne or prosecco but there was a good selection of other drinks.
I've been to the Tarkington theatre several times, and every time it has been excellent and seamless. Ample free parking, easy will-call process, and the seats have lots of leg room. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Only pain point is the bar- it is usually manned by just one person, so the line can back up quickly.
Great experience watching Murder for Two in the Studio Theater, here. Free public parking at the garage. Can't complain much!
Brilliant!! Murder for Two is wickedly funny. It’s 90 minutes of sheer fun and upbeat energy. Adam Lasalle and David Corley are tremendously gifted actors who kept us spellbound from start to finish. David’s character switching was superb and the faster he had to switch the more we loved it. The gentleman sitting next to me laughter till he snorted! Go see this show. It will lift you right out of the February doldrums.
Fabulous play! Amazing talent packed into just two actors.
So very impressive! Please make time for this one, you will not be disappointed!
My wife and I watched a musical in the Studio Theater in which a young friend was performing. The space was intimate (less than 200 seats) but very comfortable. The acoustics and lighting were great, and the view of the action is good from any seat.
I saw The Importance of Being Earnest with my girlfriend, and we had a great time. It is a small theater, but that just makes every seat have a great view of the show. The actors seem to enjoy what they do and have a good time on stage.
Good location. Parking is an ease. Play or musical is well developed and directed. Great evening at the theater at good prices.
Professional actors, terrific performances. Cute slogan: Broadway in your Backyard

Jerry Lee Lewis was great
Great theater venue, great stage and feel.
CCP does great shows! I have enjoyed many there. Very good production values and costumes. I like the store front location too.
Great... Best acoustic I've ever experienced in my life.
Went to see Lost in Yonkers today, loved the theater, the play, the actors, conveniently located and parking. Will definitely be back. Would recommend it to anyone, plus right in the shopping and restaurant area of Clay Terrace.
