Wonderful place for local groups to perform. CCO is a lovely organization.

I was deeply nervous and distracted on March 23rd,2024 the night of a comedy show at The Liberty Theater. " Leave Your Troubles at The Door" was the theme title from the comedians performing that night.
The entertainers were great but they were interrupted by hecklers in the audience being disruptive during the performance. The ushers in the theater did not counsel nor reprimand the hecklers. I believe the hecklers were iniberated because of drinking alcohol being sold at the concession stand.
I began to feel uncomfortable and decided to leave the performance.
Paying customers who expect a comfortable and safe environment should not feel unsafe and short changed by stupid hecklers. I feel that the Liberty Theater ushers should have intervened. What do you think? What's your opinion?

Beautiful old theater. Friendly staff, but built long ago when apparently people didn't need any leg room. I'm not tall and I have short legs and I was still pretty cramped. Otherwise it was a great spot to see a band.

Unique theater and venue to take in a comedy show! Bar in the basement has great little snacks, and the reusable cups they give you provide a discount for future beverages.

I have loved every event I've attended at this amazing, historic theater. I have even had the chance to watch my children perform on this beautiful stage.
What a great place to go if you love community bands, Chorale, plays, opera's, etc.

Such a neat old theater, it was a very cool thing to explore and the details in the place are absolutely incredible. Definitely recommend as a place to spend some time in on a trip!

The old girl still shines. We have been here twice now and both shows were perfect. The staff is very kind. The restoration has gone well.
Great performance! Love this building. Please quit renaming it as it makes it hard to find.
Plays are always fun here. Local talent on display. Even though I have seen most of the plays they put on annually it is still always fun as different actors play the different parts and things always happen.
Great little performing arts venue— set up in an old church. Could maybe work in a few more seats, but otherwise a charming place
Great performance by John Gorka. Small venue, good acoustics. Every seat is good👍
They do not pay their bills!

They had a water leak, and we came out and performed service for them.

They will not pay their bill
when we asked for payment (for the prearranged amount) they said call their lawyer.

Bernice initially gave us a fake email as well.

I would not do business with this place.
Nice facility! What a blessing to this small community to have this venue. As usual, the North Coast Chorale put on a fine performance under the able Leadership of Dr. Reed.
I love how well the Pastor and his Deacons have coordinated with our Service Workers in our Recovery Group during this Global Pandemic that is Covid-19! Which is one more great thing about this community. Feeling truly blessed!
It's just great family fun!!! Come out and support a great family evening.
Great teachers
A fantastic show with wonderful actors doing what they love. It was opening night with a new crew of performers and they really brought it! The musing and melodrama went on the entire night. It was everything I wanted from community theatre and more! I can't wait to come back in the Summer. Shout outs to the crew and the incredible Vintage. Bring the family. Throw some popcorn.
Local playhouse featuring Melodramas. So,much fun to throw popcorn at the actors. Great beers on tap...fun for all ages!
Nice place.
Shanghaied in Astoria is an Oregon State Treasure! It's silly. It's slapstick. It's audience participation! 34 years running with 100% VOLUNTEER local actors. It's just plain FUN! You can enjoy as an audience member or be brave, show up for auditions and join in the fun ON stage! The volunteers on stage work their hearts out to give you a silly, popcorn throwing, good time. ASOC offers 3 annual melodramas and several other productions throughout the year, so there's almost always something going on. (The one guy who gave a one star review just doesn't get it. This isn't Broadway. It's Off Bond Street Small Town FUN!)
I have known about this gem for years but never went. Tonight I took my parent to see the production. Shanghaid in Astoria was Great!! We had The best time and took pictures with some of the cast. Amazing experience! Thank you!
I'm born and raised in New Jersey first time I ever left New Jersey here is amazing but I still love my hometown if I ever want to go on vacation I'll definitely come in this area but then there's more to see as I travel the country
A wonderful place to study music and learn a musical instrument or two. The Kindermusik for children under 5 and their parents is a fun-filled musical class. What an enchanting way to start the day for a parent and child.
Okay so it's not Broadway, but we saw Shanghaied in Astoria and it was absolutely delightful. They also serve up some amazing locally brewed beer! We even took our 9 yr old to see the show. The naughty stuff went over her head and she enjoyed the show as much as we did. There were several families in attendance the night we were there. Fun experience.

Love
I love Astoria. I try to come at least once a year. AND I always try to schedule my trips to include seeing either Scrooged in Astoria or Shanghaied! I cannot understate the pleasure of seeing really good small town theatre! There is a warmth and intimacy that one cannot get otherwise.

I truly feel a part of the community when I come to these showings. The acting is wonderful and a good hybrid of classical talent and slapstick. The complexity of the characters is augmented with local references and color throughout. There is a joyful insertion of references to the patrons of the show imbedded within the performances that is quite reminiscent of vaudeville (without all that pesky juggling :) )

Missing Scrooged is one of my biggest laments from Covid :( -- not Pantages, not Broadway. Scrooged.... I miss Scrooged.....
