Went to see the Golden Girls and it was so much fun. I can't wait to go to the next show there. The place is very nice !
We saw “Singing in the Rain” there. Good acoustics. Comfortable seats. Look like wherever you sat, the view was not bad
Excellent performance venue. Great acoustics and all views of the stage are good views. Ample parking and convenient entry and egress from Bruce B Downs Blvd. The I75 ramp is nearby.
Acoustics were great. No bad seats. It was a bit warm but overall, it's an amazing venue.
Great venue for the music concert put on by "South or the Border - tribute to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass". Definitely a unique and must see for anyone who is a fan of the A & M record label artists like Brazil 66, Dionne Warwick or Burt Bacharach.
My granddaughter played the trumpet .The whole orchestra did an outstanding concert
Very enjoyable sorry it's the last one for the season will be back in September
The HCC Performing Arts hall is small, but actually quite nice. It's perfect for an intimate performance experience.
Went to a matinee of Jesus Christ Superstar. The Straz is overlooking the Hillsborough river, and the River Walk, beautiful! Easy to find our seats. Plenty of refreshments for purchase. Seats are actually comfortable. Great show and great experience!
Went to see moulin rouge here and it was phenomenal. The quality of actors and their stage presence was amazing. Definitely recommend. They had great snacks and drinks also.
The facility was absolutely beautiful. I went to see "Dream Girls" on February 11th, the staff, orchestra made my experience delightful. The actors and actresses really were absolutely phenomenal.

I am looking forward to returning to see another performance in 2024.
Great venue for Broadway shows. Seats are comfortable and views are good. Sound is a little echo-filled in balcony seats and bathroom lines during intermission are crazy long...but I suppose that's part of the experience.

A one person show with 40 characters? This was a great performance. We are so lucky to have great local professional theater. Bravo
Absolutely Amazing! Top Notch entertainment. Very caring Staff. All things are very professional. Beauty, Art and Fun.
The Straz has always been a favorite place for me to see shows. From opera, to broadway musicals and plays it is close to home, has easy access and the productions are always top notch. The workers and volunteers are always nice and courteous. There is plenty of parking nearby and if you want to eat before or after the event, the choices are endless.

I went to see Moulin Rougue for the matinee performance. The show was a visual cornucopia, the sets were amazing. The production was in need of some polish, matinees do seem to lack the resilience of the evening shows. Lots of old folk like me. The sound system was terrible when the entire chorus and band reached crescendos. Like listening to an 8 track tape in a van with blown speakers. The solo performances and duets sounded much better. Maybe due to an aging sound system or a need for a sound engineer.

The Straz itself is wonderful, we are so lucky to have that venue in our back yard. My family and I have witnessed some amazing performances over my 30+ years in town. Very highly recommended.
Beautiful building and layout. Right on the rivers edge. There are lovely little cafe places and little umbrella seating for eating and drinking. There is a parked rail car eatery to buy food right on the walkway. Large, spacious and feels very safe. Beautiful walking and scenery
Jazz group La Lucha together with Scotty Wright. Gifted very talented musicians. The USF Ybor facility was comfortable. Large enough for a good-sized audience with the energy that brings and small enough to not crowded felling.

Very good venue as a publicly funded college performing arts theatre. The multiple theatre geography is a challenge on a rainy evening!
Very friendly staff and very organized. There are no restaurants close by, but there is a coffee shop that serves sandwiches and another place that serves sandwiches and salads.
The theater itself is roomy and clean. Bathrooms are nice and plenty of stalls ( just don't wait till after the show).
I had the pleasure of seeing "The Great Christmas Cookie Bake Off". It was very entertaining & the actors were great! The lobby staff were accommodating & helpful. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. I had a great experience.
The Straz Center is a fantastic facility for seeing performing arts. It's spacious, well laid out, and well maintained. The volunteers are incredible and valued as they politely keep the flow moving, give direction, and oversee the sea of people. The performance halls are beautiful, and the layout gives most seats a great view of the stage. The only drawback that I found was trying to get to the restroom during intermission. Avoid it if you can. So many people and so little time. After waiting in line, I had to take my shoes off and run up the stairs to get back in time.
Clean new and very comfortable the jazz group there was amazing the one thing that I would change is the lights to bright when watching a show can make it hard to see when they are so bright

Nice stage. Clean atmosphere. Love the artwork. Was easy to find. Great for events.
Had an absolutely amazing time at HCC Performing Arts Ybor City during the Countdown Improv Festival!

We were visiting from Baltimore and met acts from around the country.

I can't thank them enough for giving me the opportunity to perform on their stage and also for hosting such a fantastic event.

The nice acoustics of the venue's performance space and the stadium style seating make every seat a good one.
Had a wonderful evening watching the production of Grease by the New Tampa Players.

Venue was beautiful and the show was fabulous! It was a small theater, but spacious and was a sold out show!

It was very hot inside the venue. They had drinks and an intermission. There were not enough restrooms for the women at intermission, but the line did move quickly.

They have some great up coming shows and you should check them out when you are in the area!

Great time!

I love the performing arts 🎭 This is a smaller theater. I think it seats around 100 people. The seats are not at much of a slant, so if you get someone tall in front of you, you’ll have to wiggle around a bit to see the actors as they move across the stage. It’s a first come first serve seating. I personally like the intimate setting. I saw ‘The Great American Trailer Park Musical’ and thought it was fantastic! The actors had amazing singing voices and they played the characters so well. It was a hilarious show. I can’t wait to come to more shows.

They also have a small bar to purchase snacks (candy bars) and drinks.
They have the best classical guitar, violin and piano, jazz, and choral performances by local musicians and college students that I’ve found in the Tampa area. There isn’t a bad seat in the theater… no “obstructed view” anywhere.

We had a great time. It's a smaller venue, more intimate, and makes you feel like you're right in the middle of the play. Although, the actors really did that. "The Great American Trailer Park Musical" was a great show. I am looking forward to seeing another play this summer. The staff was really pleasant, but please, please, please get there early so you can check in and get seated before the showtime.
Excellent! All My Sons performance by Tampa Repertory was Amazing!!!
Recently attended a Tampa International Fringe Festival show here. A nice center with 4, I believe, performance places. I say places as one is in a rehearsal hall but used foe shows. The largest theater is located upstairs, and very nice. The show I saw was in what is known as the Coop. The room itself was a nice space, however the chairs had rollers on them.

I love this theater. I can understand why it's the longest running g theater in Tampa. I have never seen a bad play here. I love that the theater isn't over big. The intimacy it provides when watching performances makes it that much more captivating.

Great venue, great sound, easy to locate, lots of parking. Only small issue is bathrooms, since line was long. Other than that, recommended 👌
Nice campus
I have seen several wonderful shows at Stageworks. Affordable prices with an intimate venue which ensures a great view no matter where you sit in the theater. If you are looking for a fun night out, I would highly recommend getting tickets to their next production.

Intimate theatre w/ comfortable seats. The art work on the walls was fabulous!! Staff incredibly friendly and nice.. More signs are needed outside, especially by the parking garage, for first timers to find the theatre though..it took us 10+ minutes to find it after we parked.

I came to watch The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and I am not being gentle when I say this, but the entire theatre experience I had was litty 😝😝! Honestly the best student cast I’ve seen in a very long time. The audience participation was reminiscent of a soft roast session and it was magnificent. I’m excited to come again.

Classic theater, elegant architecture.
On Saturday, 10/7, I saw the theatre play "I Think She's The One" written by Rory Lawrence. Oh my goodness. The actor/actresses were truly professional (photo attached), it was funny and what a great life message. Loved the play.

The theatre was clean and the staff is friendly each time that I am there

Look for the UT Lectores Speaker Series in January and June. Always fantastic authors/readers.
I HAVE BEEN IN MY HEAD AND I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT YOUR COIIEGE 100 %
Thought I was going to see a mid Summer's nights dream instead I walked into a sand box beach rave party or that's what it was supposed to be. Full of lights loud music and bass but the one thing it did lack was acting, aside from a few people who seemed to have their lines down. I wish they had given me some heads up as to what I was going to see. The actors did appear to be having a good time but I think they were the only ones.
