Tim Rice and the amazing singers and band were brilliant last night. But sitting for over 2 hours in the top row of the Upper Circle with a bad back is awful! Not only uncomfortable but from our seats on the right hand side, we couldn't see 50% of the stage and therefore the performers. I asked at half time if there were any empty seats ( we could see there were some empty seats in dress circle) but told they couldn't help us. My advice is the top row of the Upper Circle is best avoided. But nevertheless the music was superb.

Lovely little theatre! Staff were really helpful and the theatre was very well presented. My reason for 4 stars would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms letting it down. They could do with alot of TLC!

Over all a lovely visit and the cafe looked nice and reasonably priced too!

A grand building wheelchair accessible, a lift which I definitely needed as I use crutches. Great acoustics and friendly staff!.

Seen a few children's plays here with the kids. We've enjoyed every one. Staff are friendly and efficient at the doors getting people through quickly. Downstairs is normally quite chaotic with all the little kids which is totally expected. Will definitely be back to watch something else in the near future.

Theatre is close to Thames river, walk from tube 8 minutes. The seat is tight and small in our circle of first floor, I can’t seat for an hour, it doesn’t have room for stretch.

Dressing and makeup room is on first floor, makeup room is without window, it’s very hot even one fan is provided. The light bulbs for makeup are not LED, which lead the temperature raised! The theatre may consider change to LED bulbs in the future.
The staffs in theatre are helpful and nice, they show us around the safety kit and emergency exit!

Nice theatre but was a bit dirty.
Very good theatre in Kingston upon Thames. It was opened in 2008 and is modelled on the Elizabethan Rose Theatre in London. The theatre can seat more than 800 people. Decent bar and cafe on the ground floor with another bar on the first floor.

We travelled from London on a Sunday evening to attend the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain gig which was good.

Easier than going into London and some good shows come here too! Good facilities, nice open bar space. Comfy seats, the importance of which should not be underestimated! Went to see Lost in Music, which is well worth it - I mentioned the comfy seats, but also plenty of room to get up and dance along with the show!

Efficient and easy to get in. Fairly small as far as theatres go, but I prefer that. Felt quite casual going to the bar to grab coffee and water, which we usually skip. The Rose had no queues though.

Our tickets enabled us to get a free programme, although I wish this had included some guidance on Brecht and the plot.

Staging was interesting — loved the use of the steel framed beds as gates and bridges; very versatile.

Staff all friendly and helpful, very chill atmosphere. I'll come here again.

I have attended a few events here, ranging from Russell Kane's hilarious stand up sets to Tim Peake's incredibly interesting talks on his journey from childhood to ESA astronaut. The venue is nice enough, with good views of the stage from wherever you sit (from my experience), and reasonably priced drinks sold on site.

Minus one star because there really aren't enough toilets for the number of people the venue holds. There are often quite long queues that form during intervals and after shows end.
